Hey everyone! It's May and you know what that means? Yeah, me neither. There's not a whole lot in terms of major news right now, except for maybe some clarification on some forms of magic like usual. As for a new event? Right now, we're just having the April Event (Bosco Invasion part 3) taking place, which runs into the middle of May. But, one cool new thing that we're introducing this month is SS-Class items. Now you have something to grind and agonize over! Yay, isn't that just lovely? I think so. You can find more info on that in the Equipment and Item Creation section in the rules. That's it for now, folks! If I get anything new to add to this you can guarantee that I will do so. Yovel was travelling towards Celadon Lakes. It was a beautiful and large lake that he had only seen rarely kept especially being so close to civilisation. There was always a chance that lakes and natural wonders near settlements would become poluted and poisoned quickly by human influences. He was travelling on Vits at the southern section away from settlement and more near the woods exploring the place. The areas closer to the city was always busy and things were more likely than not to be ruined by others. He noticed that something was strange along the shore and noticed that there was a flock of birds surrounding something. Vits flew down to investigate and he scattered all the birds away. They flew into the sky and dropped all their feathers onto the ground and into the air. Yovel waited for the feathers to fall to inspect what the birds were crowding around. It was the body of a young woman. She was unconscious and Yovel immediately dropped to her side and checked her vitals. She was cold, but her head was burning up. She was having a fever and she didn't look very healthy either. He instantly pulled out some herbs and started to crush them. He worked quickly to mush the herbs into a pulp and added water to it. He then grabbed his alembic and filled it with the lake's water. He then placed the pulp into the alembic and water and heated it up with his Eldur glyph. The water started to boil and it created this green liquid which Yovel collected. He then fed it to the girl who was luckily still able to drink after he attempted to wake her up. He then pulled her off the shore and placed her on Vits for her to rest and keep warm. |

[Off: I'm very sorry for taking so long.] Hyphen was on a stroll along the Celadon Lakes. It was a peaceful place. Hyphen wouldn't normally take a walk around these parts, but he liked to hike around random places. And today, Celadon lake was one of those places. Korani, on the other hand, wasn't too enthusiastic about the event, due to her vulnerability to water. She hated to get rust, and to get dirt that might be floating in water into her metallic body. The golem always walked on the side on Hyphen furthest from the nearest body of water. Hyphen noticed that a figure had landed from a winged creature down towards some lady. This was interesting. He grabbed hold to Koranis hand and rushed towards the other duo. The rouge skipped and the heavy metallic maiden rumbled towards them. Hyphen, in genuine curiousity, kneeled down a bit close to where the issue was taking place, and started to ask questions. Ooow. How is she going? How could I help? |

Yovel noticed that there were a pair of people approaching him. One with a panda helmet and another who was made out of metal. They had asked Yovel if they could help as they noticed the girl who was lying down on Vits I'm not too sure. I've just given her some medication to reduce the fever that she is experiencing. Yovel then brought his attention back to the girl who was breathing heavily, but atleast the colour had returned to her face and so wasn't as pale as before. Yovel then placed a hand on her head and noticed that she was sweating, but atleast she was cooling down. Yovel then went through his bag and pulled out a canister of water. He then attempted to give the water to the girl, small sips every so often so that she stayed hydrated. While he was doing so, the nearby woodlands were rustling with activity and it seemed that a few soldiers appeared. They were wearing leather cuirasses and their heads were covered in a hood. Some had bows and arrows while others had a sword and shield. One of them shouted and said something that they had found the girl. Out came from the bush seemed to be a commander as instead of wearing a hood and leather cuirass, he was wearing a full metal plate armour and an opened helmet were you could see his blue spiky hair protruding through. He then gave the order to his men to kill the girl and the people assisting her. Yovel stood up and Vits screeched in surprise as the men approached them. |

Oh the facks. Hyphen walked back a few steps, startled by the sudden amount of people that where ready to fight. Korani noticed his worry, and tracked down the source quickly with her eyes. They both started to scan the group. It was a hard situation. They were considered criminals of some sort by the locals for some reason, and they needed to handle the situation somehow. Korani was immortal, so she could work as a decoy of some sort, Hyphen thought. But taking down multiple enemies at once was a Ludus speciality. And defending one area was also thier forte. Having to do both at the same time is the best battle situation Hyphen can be in. He didn't doubt in defending himself, so he summon forth his Ludus Bind. He extracted a black key from his breast pocket form his jacket and he thrusted it into the ground, causing a 7 metre radius area to appear around the planted key. Korani started to emit small puffs of steam. The summon could now use her magic, and her physical powers returned to normal, allowing her to fight with her full potencial. The area surrounded Yovel and the wounded one. Unless they had projectiles, they would have to enter the zone in order to attack them. Healer, we are both facked, so we might as well join forces. I'm Hyphen , by the way. In this zone I've summoned, I'm quite powerful. Outside of it, I'm not. Edited by Hyphen, May 9 2012, 09:41 AM.

Yovel told Vits to watch over the girl as he stood up and walked over to Hyphe. She is fine for now, she will just need rest and she will recover. My name is Yovel and what we need to focus on is to eliminate these foes who clearly want to kill us. Yovel pulled out his blades and looked at the attackers that were moving towards them. A few were poised to attack as they drew their bows at the group. Quickly moving out of the circle, Yovel ran towards the archers, he felt no change as he left the perimeter of the circle and thought as Hyphen mentioned only affected him. He attracted the attention of the archers as they shifted their aim towards him. Yovel raised his blades across his head, bringing his arms to cover his front area. Little did they realise that underneath his clothing, Yovel had armour that would atleast prevent them from killing him with their arrows. The arrows flew towards him and Yovel could feel them bounce off his armour. Some skirved off to the shit and flittered towards the ground. It didn't cause him pain, but he could feel the pressure of it impacting with his armour. Yovel could see where he was going and when he reached a soldier, he did not bother trying to pierce his armour with the blades. Instead Yovel brought his blade cleanly against the archer's neck causing him to collapse as blood squirted all over Yovel. He could not stay there long as Yovel guarded himself from the next volley of arrows. It was difficult, but he could still manage as his armour was deflecting most of the blows. |

Oh my god. Oh dear. Oh the heavens. Hyphen gave a few step backwards while he watched the murder scene. It was true that this group had a clear intent of trying to kill them. However, the killing of people just stunned Hyphen a lot. He would never allow himself to actually assasinate someone, unless he was completely forced to, and even then, he wouldn't take it so lightly. However, Yovel seemed to breeze through such an issue. Hyphen was surprised. Hyphen quickly shook off these ideas from his head, and focused on the battle. He decided to remain within the area, behind his metallic summon. Some arrows where shot towards him too, but Korani intercepted them with her body. Some foot-soldiers charged towards them, entering the Ludus Bind Area. Korani tackled a few with her mace, while Hyphen started to attack from a range, throwing shurikens and acting as a distraction. Once there where enough soliders in the area, and they where hurt enough, Hyphen gave a wink to his summon. Edited by Hyphen, May 9 2012, 12:18 PM.

The foot soldiers were moving towards Hyphen and his golem, but it seems like they were capable of managing those numbers. Instead Yovel focused on killing the archers first. Moving quickly to another one as the blood dripped off his face from his most recent kll, there were only a few targets left. The archers though bothersome, once you make ground on them they were clearly not much of a threat. Heck they started to even become frightened off him and they couldn't aim properly at all. Yovel didn't mind as he came up to another one and knifed him in the neck. Yovel plunged the blade deep into the fellows body and the tip poked from the otherside. Yanking it out, it caused a fountain of blood to gush out and spray everywhere, mostly on Yovel. He then looked at the last archer who was staring him wide-eyes. Yovel moved quickly on his feet and he didn't need to dodge as the arrow was drawn with a shaken hand. It just flew past him and he didn't blink and he went for the kill. The problem was Yovel noticed a glint of silver and jumped out of the way as a blade came down to where he was. It seemed that the captain had started to intervene. Luckily Yovel had taken out the archers except for his one who had collapsed on the ground visibily shocked and shakened. Yovel covered in blood stared at the captain as he knew his blades could not pierce the metal armour. Instead he still held his blades to defend himself against any more strikes, but prepared his magic to kill the captain off. |

Hyphen gave a wink to Korani. She knew what needed to be done. Hyphen grabbed the wounded lady and dragged her away from the Ludus Bind as quickly as he could, to get her out of the danger area. Korani pushed away the nearby soldiers and started to gather magic energy around herself. She started to emit a faint glow. Then, suddenly, she released all of the stored power into a single wave with a roar, that shook the Ludus Bind all at once. HEAVENS BET! The soldiers seemed to be able to fight quite well dispite thier moderate-to-minor wounds, however, the powerful spell Korani used blasted away most of their resilience. In normal circumstances, a warrior would be able to handle a few wounds. A puppy, which has lower life-force, wouldn't be able to handle them. The Heavens Bet lowered their lifeforce in such as way that their ability to withstand damage was equivalent to that of a puppy, causing them to faint due to the wounds they had. All of the soldiers dropped at once. |

Yovel was trading blows with the captain of the unit. The captain slashed at Yovel a few times and even though he blocked some blows with his blades, his armour was getting dented from the attacks. He had to kick the captain away at one point to make some ground between each other as Yovel wasn't that great at melee combat. He knew how to kill, but not how to fight. Instead Yovel finally prepared his magic decided to go into another lock with the captain. The captain brought down his swords and Yovel blocked it with both his blades. Since the captain was focused on pushing his sword down, Yovel steadied himself and summoned his magic. Glyphs appeared around the captain and Yovel activated them. The spells exploded, fire and wind slammed into the captain which weakened him. His body steaming from the spell and Yovel stepped fowards as the captain stumbled back and knifed him in the neck. Another gush of blood flowed from the wound as the captain collapsed. Yovel then went scrounging in the captain's belongings and found a note. Unable to read the language, he went over to Hyphen and the pile of soldiers and gave him the note. Can you tell me what it says here? I can't read it, but first I think I need to wash myself Yovel inspected how much of his clothing was covered in blood and how long it would take to clean it off him completely. |

Hyphen took the note, and he gave it a quick examination. He understood that it must mean something, but he just couldn't decipher the letter. He assumed that it was written in some foreign language. He shrugged, and handed the letter back to Yovel. Hyphen then snapped his fingers, causing the Ludus Bind to disperse. Korani seemed very tired after the fight and performing her signature spell. She walked over to a nearby patch of grass and she simply let her weight lead her to the ground. She sat on the earth and then leaned back until she was in a completely horizontal position. She was exhausted. Hyphen looked back at the injured one. He shook her shoulders gently, trying to make her regain consciousness. Perhaps she knew how to read the language, and perhaps she may also give them answers about why this group tried to kill them. |
