Simply content to enjoy the embrace that followed her words Stella had closed her eyes and leant her head against Okita’s chest while wrapping her arms around him in a hug, she had figured that the hug would have lasted longer then a normal one but as the knight let go that everything seemed to take a sudden turn. Before she knew it Stella found herself being pushed down into a crouch and led behind a hedge, the expression on Okita’s face told her that something was wrong and the tone of his voice only backed that theory up. What was it though? Only as a voice spoke out while passing by their position did everything become clear as the crisp morning sky, so the people after them had sent some eyes and ears to the town after all. Their trek over the peak hadn’t been worthless or in complete vain however, the two knights seemed incredibly doubtful that the pair would have made such a trek and for that their guard and attention were lowered considerably. Perhaps it was because of that fact that the two hadn’t seen either of them despite them being so close and within both sight and an earshot, the fact there was people in the town however was a concern for where there was two there was most likely going to be more. Stella’s mind was filled with what she figured were much the same thoughts as Okita’s own, they had to skip town while they could and use the time to get ahead of those after them and yet they couldn’t just do so from the park as their stuff was back at the hotel. Had the men already been there and asked about them? Would they be caught if they returned to get their stuff? Even if they had been to the hotel and had the staff promise to call them should they have returned for their stuff, there was one thing that could be done to ensure at least one of them could safely retrieve their stuff. Turning to Okita Stella looked him in the eyes and spoke, “I’ll meet you at the gates on the other side of town, grab our stuff and head there.” Without waiting a moment for Okita to try and stop her Stella stood from behind the hedge where she had been hiding with the knight, walking in front of it before sneezing to catch the attention of the knights that had passed them by the mage put on her best ‘uh oh busted’ act before taking off in a sprint through the park. The knights immediately recognised the blonde from the pictures and descriptions they have been given and thinking that she had tried to sneak around behind them but given herself away with a bad timed sneeze both men set off after her without a thought as to where her accomplice might be. Truth be told she was the one that they needed, she was the one with the definite knowledge as to where the man that their superior sought was and so if the man wasn’t with her so be it. “Shit! There she is!”, “Hey you! Stop!”, their words were attempts in vain to get the woman to stop running away from them but they figured them worth a shot none the less. The men chasing her were fast and perhaps in a long distance run they would be able to catch her but Stella had a trick up her sleeve for just such occasions, hoping that Okita would remember her much faster magical form from the time they ran at the resort Stella held onto it for the chase that would ensue. The timing of then entire event couldn’t have been better in the mage’s eyes, she was given a chance to prove to Okita that she still trusted him and he was given a chance to prove that she wasn’t mistaken in doing so. He had promised to meet her somewhere once before, although fate stopped him from being able to do so once she knew that he wouldn’t let it do so once again. He would be at the gates out of town and she would meet him there once she was sure she had given him enough time to get there safely with their belongings and the pets in hand. If there were others in the town seeking them then she was pretty sure they would be called in to assist the chase of the woman they sought, although with her magic’s aid she was certain she could avoid capture. Hopefully Okita and the other two would be able to do so too, this was all the help she could give them. |

As the pair sat crouched behind the bush, Okita was quickly sorting through their options. They could abandon their belongings altogether and just focus on escaping whilst leaving nothing to chance in terms or risking being spotted. However that was a rather short sighted option as everything from Okita's weapon to their food and water supply was back in that room. Leaving without it would leave them without supplies and with little money on hand with which they could restock. Not to mention he was loathe to part with the sword that Stella herself had given him. Even putting aside the sentimental value, it was a very high quality blade and made even more so by the magical properties it had been imbued with. So it was clear that they were going to have to risk going back to the hotel one way or another. it was extremely unlikely that the men they could see were the only ones in town, so jumping them and knocking them out wouldn't be of much use either, except perhaps to make them felt a little better at causing their pursuers some inconvenience. No, what they needed was a distraction to get the bulk of the guards out of their way. Little did he know that Stella had come to the same conclusion and beat him to the punch as she turned to him and said pretty much exactly what he had been about to say. Before Okita could protest, she stood up and ran out in front of the men and within the span of ten seconds the chase was on and the onus was on Okita to get their stuff and get out. He just hoped that Stella would... no, she'd be fine. He had faith. Double checking that the coast was indeed clear, Okita turned to the two pets who were regarding him curiously. "We have to be very sneaky guys. Follow me and stay out of sight", he said all the while praying that they'd understand him. Perhaps it was his imagination, but the knight could have sworn the two little creatures nodded before he got to his feet and proceeded to make his way back to the hotel. After weighing up his options, he decided to take a more roundabout route which involved several back alleys and lesser populated streets so he could move faster without drawing attention. No sooner had he ducked down one such alley that a group of men rushed past the entrance and he caught a snatch of their conversation, "...encountered Stella Fluret... Currently in pursuit..." Just how many of their pursuers were in this town anyway? He'd initially figured that a handful of men had been sent here but from what he'd just seen and heard, he was being forced to reevaluate that assumption. Whoever was calling the shots wasn't leaving anything to chance and he'd sent more than just a ghost crew. "I hope you know what your doing...", Okita muttered as he sprinted through the network of alleyways, flanked closely by the two animals who had climbed to roof level as they followed his lead. Reaching the mouth of the alley that connected to the street their accommodation was located in, Okita hoped that they had yet to find any leads that would lead them here. His hopes were in vain however as he found the hotel staked out by no less than three guards. Now I know what you may be thinking- what kind of stupid organisation just stands around a place they expect their quarry to show up in uniform. Well calm your ovaries ladies because they men in question were incognito, but you didn't get through the knight academy twice and not pick up the skills required to spot hostile surveillance. The first was the easiest to spot because they sat opposite the hotel with a newspaper which was obviously not being paid the slightest bit of attention to... because it was being held upside down. From there Okita simply but himself in his enemies shoes and asked himself 'where are the best places to get angles on the hotels entrances. The answer to that question led him to a second man some distance up the street who was browsing the stand outside a pawn shop but kept glacing over at the hotel. The third and final man was the doorman himself- tricky bastards. Okita knew this for two reasons- the first and less reliable was because that's just what the bad guys always did. The second was that Okita had overheard that the doorman's shift went from 5am to midday and it was only 10:30am and the doorman was different. Stepping back into the relative safety of the alley, Okita pondered how to approach the hotel without being seen. It was tempting to go spy vs spy and try and take them all out, but that would be exceptionally difficult to do without any of them catching on. heck, only an idiot would try... "I love a good challenge", Okita said, cracking his neck as he did so and began making confident strides down the alley and towards the street where the stage had been so eloquently set for his arrival. Seeing as how Stella didn’t know her way around town the mage knew she had to be extra careful as to where she ran and when, the last thing she wanted to do was run into a dead end in an alleyway or run around in circles and straight into more guards so deciding to stick to the roads she knew wouldn’t end that way she made her way towards the market district. With more faces around there was a greater chance that she could lose the guards that were following her however with that came the greater chance that she could run into someone that was an undercover guard, would they have put plain dressed guards out though? They knew she was a mage and that Okita was capable of fighting well but she doubted that they would have sent anything more then the lower ranks after them for the higher ranks would ask more questions then those in charge would like asked, did that mean that they wouldn’t risk putting the lower ranks in a fight with them without their armour though? There were many things to consider in her escape but the more that Stella found herself thinking the more she found herself almost making stupid mistakes, she had to just clear her mind and focus on what she was doing. Hoping for the best of course was inevitable. The first stretch of the chase was down a street filled with stores and customers that were emerging for their day, with gaps between the people on the street wide enough to fit through with ease Stella wasn’t slowing down as she made her way towards what she hoped would be the crowded centre square with all kinds of market stalls. She had heard of the centre from someone in the hotel lobby as they waited in line, it was supposed to be quite the packed event and yet worth it if you were one that liked finding a bargain. Falling behind the two guards that had started the pursuit of the mage were finding themselves out of breath as they pressed the furthest reaches of their speed and stamina and it didn’t take long for them to call for immediate back-up, “This is red robin requesting immediate back-up!, we are in pursuit of the suspect, I repeat we are in pursuit of Stella Fleuret and she’s fast, like real fast. We can’t keep up with her, she’s heading into the market area all units find the bitch before she gets away!” As their final words were spoken Stella disappeared from the knight’s sight around a street corner, once around that corner she ducked into a crowd of people and found herself making her way through the square rather cautiously, she wasn’t going to run as that would just set anyone watching and looking for her off and so pretending to be looking around the stalls the mage browsed the wares at the nearest table. Upon the table sat some rather pretty hand made jewellery that in any other situation Stella herself might have actually had a serious look at but it wasn’t the jewellery that had her attention this trip to the market, spotting two more knights running towards the market square from the north entrance she turned around to the stall behind her only to notice two more entering from the south. So they had her surrounded at three out of four entrances did they? Why did she have a feeling that the fourth wouldn’t just be as open as they were making it seem it would be. Seeing as how she couldn’t exit the market area via the usual methods Stella’s amethyst eyes flickered around for another way out, it was as she glanced to the side of a building to her right that the answer came to her. “There she is!”, a loud female voice shouted out through the crowd alerting Stella to the fact that the knight’s had finally spotted her and so as they rapidly surrounded her with smiles on their faces she put her escape plan into action. Running towards what to the knight’s eyes was no more then a brick wall belonging to a several storey building Stella seemed to be making a stupid and suicidal rush choice but it was anything but, along the wall several metres too high for anyone to reach by jumping sat a fire escape with it’s ladder retracted. No one would be able to get to it right? Wrong. Stumped by the sudden disappearance of the woman that was just in front of them the knights looked to one another before hearing the sounds of footsteps above them, “What the? How the hell did she get up there?!”. Racing up the fire escape Stella was well on her way to losing the knights once again, having used her takeover form’s special ability to ‘dash’ to another location the mage had made it to the fire escape and gained valuable ground. |

Not knowing the fate of his dear companion, Okita was resolved to do what had to be done as quickly and cleanly as possible. But to do that he had to dispose of the goons who were making an eyesore of themselves outside of the hotel. By process of elimination he worked through which of the men he would have the best chance of dealing with first. It wasn't going to be the doorman, since he'd be spotted by both of the other two hired hands before he got within a stones throw of the door. Similarly, he couldn't well get the guy across the street either. That left the man outside the shop entrance as his only viable option but it also gave him an idea. If he couldn't get to the men, then he was just going to have to make them come to him. Moving down the street through the crowd in the opposite direction to the hotel, Okita crossed the street where only someone who was expecting to see him there would be likely to spot him. Now as he made his way back down towards the hotel but on the other side of the street, Okita sneakily grabbed a hooded jumper from one of the many shopfronts he passed as well as a pair of nondescript sunglasses and donned them so as to obscure his face and hide his rather distinct hair color. The man never saw Okita as he passed within arms reach of him to enter the shop and pretend to browse its wares. But really he was watching the man outside and waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Knowing time to be limited Okita couldn't afford to be too picky so when the man yawned, bowing his head in the process Okita seized him ina headlock and dragged him inside before he knew what was happening. Amusingly, nobody inside the small shop paid the behavior any heed since who would commit a violent crime in broad daylight and was probably just two friends mucking around. They were grossly mistaken, but it suited the knight that people minded their own business. A short time later, the second of the three hired mercenaries assigned to stake out the hotel where the wanted couple were supposed to be staying received a transmission over his earpiece from the man Okita had accosted. "Frank, I have eyes on the guy we're looking for. He's in the store." Frank immediately stood up, dropping the newspaper on the seat beside him even as he set off at a run towards the store where Mark had been stationed. The third man, who had taken the place of the hotel doorman- could only watch from his position lest the woman try and return there while he was away from his position. Besides, He had faith that his compatriots were more than enough to handle some jumped up rogue knight. As Frank entered the building, mark keyed his own mic which was connected to the other men in the city, "This is Black Mamba, we have Okita Onizaki in our sights" There was no response, but he had no doubt he'd been heard and reinforcements would probably be there within minutes, despite the lack of need in his mind. However after a minute had passed with no word from either man, he began to sweat. Could something have gone wrong? After another minute of terse waiting, radio silence was finally broken, by Mark this time. "We- we've apprehended Okita Onizaki. Come give us a hand would you?" The man frowned, Marks voice had sounded strained and out of breath. That Onizaki kid must have been more of a handful than they'd given him credit for. "Roger that, on my way", he responded before abandoning his post. What would the harm be? They had Onizaki so the woman would have to surrender if their information on their relationship was anything close to being correct. As he rushed across the street, the man entered the store and immediately knew he'd been tricked. For directly in front of him was both Mark and Frank were bound and gagged unconcious on the floor. But even that in itself was a distraction and by the time the fake doorman realised it, something heavy collided with the side of his neck and he collapsed like a sack of potatoes to the floor. Stepping over the third and final man, Okita replaced his sheathe weapon at his hip and dusted off his hands. It hadn't been an especially difficult task overpowering the two men, the tricky part had been 'persuading' them to lure their friend into the trap he'd laid. Thankfully, the knighthood had taught him certain skills for such purposes as well and they'd done the trick. Unfortunately, the plan hadn't quite gone as he'd planned as he'd heard the communication claiming he'd been captured. Now he had to get in and out of the hotel before reinforcements could arrive. Leaving the store and some very frightened shopkeepers behind with the unconscious mercenaries, Okita sprinted across the street and entered the hotel |

Stella might have gained ground due to her quick thinking regarding a possible escape route but it did leave her with a rather important question in mind, now she was on the rooftop of the building where was she going to go? With the sound of the knight’s that were chasing her growing closer and closer to the point that she could hear them in the stairwell that would lead to her position the mage was rather cornered. Sure she could leap from the rooftop to one that was below her but even that was a rather far fall of several storeys and there was no doubt that if she could land it and get up to continue that the knights would follow her through with it themselves. The door to the rooftop burst open and Stella spun around from her place at the edge of the rooftop to see the group of five knights streaming onto the roof in tactical formation. The situation was rather strange for the knight’s as they took in the sight before them, was the woman going to jump rather then be caught? When had her attire changed so much? What else was she capable of with her magic? Playing it cautious one of the men in the group lowered his weapon slowly to the ground before taking slow steps to approach Stella, raising his hands out in the air above his head he took the typical negotiator stance and his voice changed to match it. “Come on, step away from the edge Stella. We aren’t going to hurt you, you just need to come with us.”, the man’s tone was believable and why shouldn’t it have been? He wasn’t lying. While they weren’t necessarily to hurt her and she only needed to go with them the fact was that the reasons behind why she was to do so were what kept her on the run. Talim Saika, the woman whose soul that Stella was merged with through her magic wasn’t taking to being cornered like a rat too well and eager for a fight she whispered into the mage’s mind her suggestions on what to say and how they would escape to get back to Okita. You want to get back to your knight don’t you, then just do as I say and it’ll all be fine. Stella knew that the assassins words were not to be trusted at face value for she had the lust to kill and yet she also knew that it was her best chance to get off of that rooftop, she would do what Talim had suggested but on her own terms. “You might not have your weapon but they do”, motioning to the man’s fellow knights that stood behind him with their weapons drawn with a movement of her head Stella put the first piece of the plan into action. They were eager to get her away from the edge of the building and if they took her as having to jump rather then face them in combat they thought that she was weak and not a threat and that would be their undoing. “Alright. We’ll all put our weapons away”, ordering his allies to do as he said with a firm glance in their direction the man concreted his position as the one in charge of the collective unit. As the knights did as they were told and put away their weapons before raising their hands into the air above their heads the leader continued with his negotiation technique, “Alright, we’ve all put our weapons away so there is no one that will hurt you. Just step away from the edge and come over here alright”. Slowly Stella approached the leading knight but as she got within but a metre of him and his hand reached out to grab her it was time to act, using the substantial speed that Talim granted her she lunged out and delivered two quick blows rendering the knight incapacitated on the ground. Seeing their leader under attack the knight’s moved to draw their own weapons but it was in vain, before the first had theirs in hand Stella materialised a sphere of dark magical energy roughly the size of a baseball in the palm of her hand. The orb was tossed at the feet of the knights and upon hitting the ground it exploded into a cloud of lingering shadow that obscured the vision of those within it completely, vulnerable and unable to see Stella as she lunged into the shadow picking them off one by one the knights quickly fell due to precisely placed blows to pressure points and the like. As the last fell to the ground unconscious the cloud of shadow dissipated having done it’s job and Stella was about to make her move to exit the rooftop via the stairwell when something spoken out over the leader’s radio caught her attention. "We- we've apprehended Okita Onizaki. Come give us a hand would you?", the news was startling and upon hearing it Stella’s eyes widened and her heart quickened. They couldn’t have captured him, could they? Edited by Lightning, Jun 8 2012, 08:00 AM.

Okita entered the revolving glass doors as fast a he could manage without running into them, not that his behavior was at all unusual given the number of business people who commonly resided in the hotel and were bustling to and fro on their way to important corporate meetings and the like. But Okita wasn't concerned with the price of shares, he just wanted to get in and out of the building with all of their collective gear before their pursuers reinforcements could arrive and further complicate his rendezvous with Stella pending their hasty departure of the cities walls. Taking the stairs three at a time, Okita quickly ascended the flight of stairs that led to the second floor and didn't so much as pause before going on to tackle the second flight that led to the third floor- also the floor their room was located on. "207... 207... 207", Okita muttered to himself as he jogged along the third floor corridor, fishing his keys out of his pocket as he went. "Bingo", he declared to nobody in particular as he found himself standing before a door marked with 207 in gold numerals and swiftly inserted the key into the lock and turned it, causing the door to swing open and allow the knight admittance Meanwhile outside the hotel, a group of 6 knights had arrived in response to the radio transmission regarding Okita's capture. However it hadn't taken them very long at all to realise that something was not as it should be. Directed to the shop where their comrades were subdued by a distressed customer, upon being roused, the men told of what had happened and how their target was very likely inside the hotel right now. Without wasting any further time with discussion the men, now 9 strong, stormed across the street and into the hotel less than four minutes behind Okita. It took them all of 60 seconds to obtain the couples room number and location from the disgruntled reception clerk before they took to the stairs like rabid monkeys. Okita wasted no time in gathering both his and Stella's weapons as well as their meager collection of supplies- including food, water and money. With these items secured within record time, Okita opened the door and began making his way back down the corridor towards the stairs. But as he opened the door and took a step onto the staircase, the sound of footsteps en-mass rose up to meet his ears and looking down over the railing, he sighed with frustration as he saw uniformed men two floors below. Retreating before he could be spotted, he immediately made his way back to his room. There was only one set of stairs that led to the ground floor, so this knight was going to have to get creative. There was one window in their room which overlooked the building beside it. Judging the distance in a heartbeat, Okita backed up towards the door- beyond which he heard a door being flung open at the end of the corridor and knew he was out of time. Steeling himself, he drew in a deep breath and ran full tilt towards the window and then leaped towards the glass pane window, curling up into a cannon ball as he broke through and sailed out into empty air... |

No, there was no way that Okita had been captured so quickly nor so easily. Deep down Stella knew this and so as she shook her head with disbelief and counted the words that had come across the radio as lies to try and lure her into coming to them the mage was unknowingly avoiding quite the sticky predicament. If she had chosen to believe that Okita had been captured and was indeed in the knight’s custody then stella would have been walking straight into them in an attempt to try and free her beloved, it would have meant that their search and chase for her had reached an end and it would have meant she’d have left him waiting for her at the edge of town where they’d meet. Snapping herself back to reality Stella glanced around the rooftop and listened to the streets below as men and women alike shouted and pointed to her location and the scene that had just unfolded. Damn, more attention then she had wanted had been drawn to her location and so with the wind behind her the mage took off back down the stairs that would lead her to the streets once more. She knew that it would only be a matter of time before more knights found their allies location on the rooftop and so it went without saying she had to get as much distance between herself and them as possible. Exiting her merger with the spirit of Talim the assassin as she made her way down the last flight of steps the blonde mage emerged onto the streets back in her regular armour. Hopefully the change in attire would fool some of those that had seen her from ground level and hopefully it would mean none would take note of which direction she was travelling. Within the span of five or so minutes Stella found her pace had brought her to the side gates of the town where she had agreed -if albeit without a chance for him to disagree- with Okita to meet up. A quick scan of the area from her place behind the corner of a building showed that no knights seemed to be staking the are out. Strange as that might have been since you would have thought they’d want to prevent her escape from the town Stella didn’t doubt that perhaps the forces deployed had been spread too thin thanks to their split and the ones no longer able to move. Slowly Stella made her way through the street towards the open gates of town, keeping a casual pace and demeanour meant that she didn’t stick out nor did she stand out due to her attire or weapons due to the fact that hunters and the like would sell their wares at the gates of the town. Perhaps she had unwittingly chosen the best place to wait for Okita after all. Question was as she looked at the many travellers around her; how was Okita and herself to travel with the two little ones? They could walk like last time but with the knights hot on their heels and what would likely be faster modes of transport at their disposal to give chase with that seemed like a suicidal option at best. They could sequester some horses from someone, it wouldn’t be hard but it did pose the risk of them informing the knights of said transaction should they be asked about it later. Leaving no trail was seeming impossible as Stella watched the people coming and going from the gates but al that changed when a fated meeting began. “Look I already told you, I aint buying those damned things!”, a firm voice came drew Stella’s gaze to a pair of men behind her that seemed to be arguing and when it did those amethyst orbs widened slightly. Giant reindeers? What on earth were they doing in a place like this all decked out with Christmas decorations? It wasn’t Christmas yet. “Come on man! I told you they are worth the price, eat em, ride em, or use em to entertain kids I don’t care what you do with them as long as I get the money I get need to pay the sharks after my knee caps”, what the had second man said caused both horror and interest within Stella. Eat them?! Oh sweet jebus she had to save those poor things….wait a minute did he say ride them?! Before she knew what she was doing Stella had already rushed over to the side of the two men that were growing more and more agitated with one another and interrupting them point blank she cared little for manners, “Did you say eat them or ride them?”. Stella would try and angle herself as being a devote animal lover that couldn’t stand the thought of the poor reindeers being eaten -which was true- while also trying to ascertain more information from the man eager to get rid of the no longer wanted animals. At first both men were shocked at the woman’s interference but once they saw an easy sell they parted ways glad to be rid of each other, “I did indeed ma’am. Work em, ride em or eat em, they can be yours for a cheap price.”. After a short conversation with the man in which Stella was able to find out that they were indeed strong enough and fit enough to be used as mounts for your average size man or women the reindeers left their cruel owner and found themselves being led outside of the gates by their new blonde -and might I say more attractive- master. If the man were to be asked any questions Stella would have bought the reindeers to save them from being eaten and to live with her and her grandma on their nearby farm, pretty neat cover if you asked her. Down in the alley beside the hotel, a young urchin sat with her back against the wall, gazing up at the slither of sky she could see between the roofs of the two buildings. Clouds were wafting by like giant fluffy marshmallows without a care in the world. It had been almost a day since her last meal and her stomach was growling at her to go and find something. Sighing wistfully she pushed herself to her feet, using the wall as a crutch and looking again to the sky. If only she could float away like a cloud to a better place… somewhere warm and peaceful. Somewhere she could sleep at night without fear of being attacked in her sleep. It was at that moment that a loud crash could be heard overhead and something burst out of the upper story windows of the hotel. The urchin could only gape in awe as a man with fiery hair sailed across the gap between the window and the roof of the adjacent building, curled tightly into a ball with his arms crossed in front of his face. Then he was gone, hidden from sight as he landed somewhere on the roof above. With a start, she realised that she was in the way of the falling debris from the broken window and darted to the side to avoid the glassy shower. But as she watched the clear material shatter against the cobblestones, something gold and shiny caught her attention and her eyes widened. It was a gold pocket watch that had somehow made its way from the room and down to ground level when the man had busted through it. Instincts kicking in almost instantly, the urchin seized the item and fled the alley way. Whatever else was going on was none of her business and she could sell this watch for enough money to eat for weeks. Okita felt the sting of glass on his arms as he burst through the window, followed by the sick drop in his stomach as he sailed through empty air with nothing but a large drop beneath him. Thankfully the feeling soon passed as he landed on rough ground and rolled several times until he came to a stop. Feeling a little dizzy, his left shoulder aching a little and the rest of him stinging from a number of tiny cuts from the broken window, Okita got to his feet and brushed himself off. Looking back over his shoulder, he could see the evidence of his handiwork in the form of the broken window which now had its curtains billowing outwards for all to see. Even as he watched, several angry faces appeared within it- the pursuing knight team and although he couldn’t make out exactly what they were saying as they shouted at him, it probably equated to ‘get him!’ Without further delay, Okita turned away from his foiled pursuers and began sprinting across the rooftop before deftly leaping over the side and dropping to ground level with the aid of a drain pipe. With their gear now in his possession, all Okita had to do was get to the gate where Stella had decided they would meet. Sticking mainly to back alleys and the more crowded streets, Okita managed to avoid detection as he made his way to the rendezvous point. Sometime later, with the pets in tow, Okita slipped through the gate and was outside. Spotting Stella wasn’t difficult either as he’d only gone a short distance before he spotted her beside two… well… there was no word for them other than reindeer and he could immediately tell from the way she was interacting with them that they had some new additions to their little company. Seing the odd animals momentarily distracted him from the relief he felt at seeing her safe and sound. “Whats this then?” Okita laughed as he set their gear down at her feet and stretched. Following whatever explanation Stella had to give, they’d be off to find somewhere they could lie low and decide on what to do next. It was becoming abundantly clear that this wasn’t a problem that was going to just go away if they avoided it long enough. |

Steel your mind. Run on instinct.

Busy fawning -pardon the pun- over the two new additions to their party of sorts Stella hadn’t noticed Okita approaching them until he spoke up. Stella’s eyes along with the eyes belonging to the pair of reindeers she’d found but there was a stark different between the emotion and expression within them. While all three had started off with surprise and a little bit of shock but those belonging to Stella quickly changed to overwhelming relief and happiness; he was safe and sound and that was all that mattered. To be perfectly honest the scene that was unfolding had been one that the mage had seen in her dreams more times then she could count; Okita returning to her with a smile on his face. For a few moments she stood there with one hand on the male reindeers nose and the other on the top of the female reindeer’s head, gawking like she’d just caught sight of her lover after he returned from war she probably seemed rather strange. But how was she to help that? It was all like some kind of dream. After two years, two lonely and torturous years in which she was forced to display loyalty and faith on a level that nearly everyone would deem idiotic here he was… he was standing before her. For a split second Stella could have sword she saw the light around the knight’s face sparkle as if from some kind of anime but as she snapped herself back to reality the mage smiled at the two small creatures that were at her feet sniffing the reindeers. No words could explain or do justice to how Stella felt at the given moment and so she decided to simply let her actions do the talking. Dropping the reigns of the mounts Stella smiled and simply approached Okita before wrapping her arms around him in a warm and loving embrace. It lasted several moments as she pushed her forehead against Okita’s chest but eventually she broke the silence to speak; “It’s faster to ride then walk”. Imalia had taken a perch atop one of the antlers of the male reindeer and waiting eagerly to be helped onto the back of the female one Zetsu sat with tail wagging and tongue dangling. At least the two pets would be there to remind the humans of the urgency they were facing, if they weren’t the risk of the pair getting caught up in their emotions and desires was running pretty high. “We should get moving, before the guards catch us”, Stella had kept her left arm wrapped around Okita’s waist as she’d turned to look at their mounts but as she finished speaking this time the mage looked up to Okita and moved her hand to his side. The height difference between the two meant that if Okita was standing straight and Stella was directly next to him that a kiss wasn’t going to happen unless the man crouched or leant down slightly, but with the right clues it wasn’t too hard to get him to do just that. A simple gaze into his eyes and ever so subtle movement of her lips and Okita never missed the cue to get a kiss, and it’s exactly what she did before walking over to Zetsu and her ride. Stella would pick the canine like animal up and sit him on the saddle before mounting the reindeer herself and readjusting Zetsu to a position in front of her/against her lap. “Well let’s go then”, seconded by a yap from Zetsu the motion set the group off on their journey once more; it wasn’t going to be an easy one. OOC As the group travelled on Stella followed after Okita in a single file line so as to follow the same path that his mount had found stable on the rock covered ground. It was as she stared off into the sights before her that the mage once again found herself feeling strange, almost as if she was in a state of reality other then her own. The surrounding background blurred out as she focused on the sight of Okita’s back and from there her eyes moved to the gentle movement of his bright hair in the gentle breezes. Without thinking her lips curled into a smile and her eyes felt heavy; how was it possible to be so happy you wanted to shout and yet so sad that you wanted to cry at the same time? On one hand the person she’d waited for was back, he was safe and he was unharmed but at the same time a sense of overwhelming fear threatened to take over. Lost in her thoughts Stella continued to stare at Okita with both the faint curl of her lips and weary eyes evident, it was highly unlikely she’d hear anything he’d say if he spoke to her in her current daydreaming state.
