Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Vinkheart would smile as Diaev was ready to press forward and wasn't freaking out nor giving up. Taking a slow pace Vinkheart and Diaev would slowly come upon the next room. This one however was completly empty minus a single piano in the middle of the room. The roof was fairly higher up then the corridor, and the room itself was about 20 meters by 20 meters. The paino looked old and had what looking like rot here and there, the keys to it covered with dust with what looked to be a few drops of blood here and there, upon looking closer one would see a blood splatter mark on the floor infront of the paino, masked by a heavy layer of dust.

Vinkheart would take a slow stroll around the room, eyeing the walls and floor before coming to infront of the paino glancing at certain area's here and there he would smile as he started to just stare at the keys. " Its a musical lock. " he would tell Diave " Seems to pass thru this room we must find out what notes to play..least we become the next stain on the floor " Vinkheart would tell Diaev. If they continued to look around they would find small marks on a few differnt keys.

At a somewhat slow pace, the two moved back down the corridor again, Diaev dragging his sword across the ground, not even bothering to carry it properly, he was still pretty exhausted. Though, they shouldn't have been far from the end of this hellish nightmare, where hopefully they'd get the super weapon/super spell/immortal bodyguard dark mage who would bring this whole plan to fruition and finally liberate Fiore from the crutches of the corrupt knight and guild system. Yes, Diaev was a part of it so he wasn't exactly helping but jobs were jobs and the money was pretty good, he either lived by it or he died by it. They entered a large room after a short while, it was huge! Though it was pretty bare, with just one lone piano in the centre of the room. It felt a lot like a trap, something would either collapse on them, or some ancient guardian demon would be unleashed to do battle with the duo, who were pretty beaten up as it was, considering the throw-downs, bare dodges of a ceilings and taking one harsh smash from a bone, barely protecting himself.

Diaev followed Vinkheart around, not paying much to specific detail, following him to the piano he put both of his hands on his sword, staying back and pointing it forward. A single note and a monster could crawl out of there. He noticed there were quite a few bloodstains, just after Vinkheart had pointed it out. Disgusting. There wasn't much, but enough to know that someone else had come here before, got this far and messed up here, right at the end. This point was absolutely crucial to the success of the operation. The Giant nodded at Vinkheart and moved to the entrance, he walked around slowly, checking for anything that might be of use to them on the walls. He checked the ground often too, just in case there was some kind of sheet to tell them what keys to play.

Vinkheart would run his fingers gently across the top of the paino and let loose a tiny giggle " How intriguing " he would say as he ran his hand down the side and stopped, it was only three keys that had marks on them. This could have been done by the last unlucky soul as to mark what key he hit, or a clue. Glancing around the room he would see Diaev was unable to find at music to play or more clues. Vinkheart would run his index finger across his bottom lip and smile. " I have a idea, you may want to stand in the doorway. This surely will be dangerous " Vinkheart would say with another childish giggle once again.

Skiping backwards a few steps Vinkheart would cross his arms for a moment before his whole body would flash for a moment before two clones of himself appeared. " This shall speed things up and make things a tad safer " he would say in unison as one of the Vinkhearts walked over to the Paino and would hit three keys. Ding dunnnn din

The notes humming in the air for a moment before a magic circle would appear on both of the side walls and would begin to fire a volly of arrows that would shred the vinkheart to nothing but bits at first before he would just vanish, leaving the arrows to fall on the ground. As the arrors stopped another Vinkheart would approach the paino. Dunn, ding, din.

Again the notes hummed in the air for a moment however this time the tile right above the vinkheart at the paino would fall down and crush the him. The body vanishing the one remaining Vinkheart would frown. " Well this is quite interesting.....we are quite a few combinations we can try...from here but what could be the right one.. " He would say with a frown as he stared at the paino.

Even though Diaev didn't find anything of use to the duo - though he searched every wall of the damn place thoroughly - it seemed Vinkheart already had, just by examining the piano. In hindsight, it was actually the most logical place it could be, but at the time Diaev thought it slightly too obvious for a lair filled with evil and destructive demons. The Iron Giant moved into the doorway like Vinkheart had instructed, he promptly summoned two clones and tried two combinations. The first messed up and sent volleys of arrows towards the clone, killing it instantaneously. The second one played a different combination, but this time instead of an arrowy death, Vinkheart Clone 2 was met with a piano crushing him, painfully. It seemed now that, well, Vinkheart was out of clones, so basically they now had two tries, each one potentially costing their lives. If Diaev went first and failed, Vinkheart would likely laugh, turn around and leave instead of pressing on, it was better that way in the end anyway, the actual leader would live so the organisation could.

The Iron Giant took a deep breath. He slowly walked to the piano and leaned down, if he was right then these keys were pressed. Three with a mark, oh well, screw it. It's not like he could logically figure it out by a sound combination or something, he'd just press it in a random order and hope for the best. If shit hit the fan he'd cast every defensive spell he could and get the hell out of there. The giant pressed the three keys in order, and immediately closed his eyes afterwards. He was totally gonna die, wasn't he? The sound that played? That was:

Dunn Din Ding!

As the sound hummed thru the air a door would appear as if the magic masking it had been broken. It appear on the wal direction behind the door, being the room opposite of the entry door. Vinkheart would giggle lightly " Well played my dear comrade, well played " he would tell him as he started to walk toward the door, as he entered it a set of stairs leading downward would be present it seems the final room was deeper underground.

After the two marched down the stairs for a minute or so they would find them selves in a fairly nice sized personal library filled wall to wall with books. The room would have a few tables with what seemed to be work stations, dotted with lachyrma's and pieces of paper. It seemed as if they had hit a treasure trove of knowledge.

Vinkheart would laugh, not giggle but straight out laugh for about a mintue straight then completly stop with a wicked smile on his face. " Oh the things stored here " he would say as he would skip over to the first workstation dotted with lachyrma's and would start to poke and read notes seeming to be sucked into what he was reading however his hand would raise toward Diaev " Feel free to read anything here, you may find something intersting yourself " he would tell his comrade as his voice seemed trailing off.

Diaev stood there for a moment after hitting the notes. The sound seeming to drag out for hours. It felt like chemicals in his brain were slowing down the time of perception to 'increase' the time he was alive, surely, a random guess like that was wrong. What was it? A volley of arrows? A large, random giant hammer coming out of nowhere and slamming him into the wall, or perhaps a behemoth from the depths of hell itself to drag him to that place alive and give his final mortal breaths in the underworld itself. It had felt like hours he had stood there, the sound still ringing true. Yet, he wasn't dead yet? Odd. A door had opened. No way! He got it on that lucky hit?! He turned to Vinkheart, his expression priceless he was so shocked, it was one of those moments where you thought 'I shouldn't be alive!' but for some reason, he was. So quickly, the Iron Giant composed himself, wiped his brow and walked into the study. It was huge, books everywhere! A plethora of information. Any mage would want this, the trove of treasure and lacrima that was here.

Without Vinkheart's prompt, Diaev ran off. Scanning the bookcases and work stations, looking for anything on metal magic. He did a very quick scan, finding a trove of books and a journal entry, just pulling them from the shelves, setting them down, and reading quickly. The first extract wrote:

Journal Entry XXXX

Tried Metal Magic today. Boring and rigid like they say. I tried it on the local village, it was destructive but rather boring. Ah, they're banging at the door again...let's see if I can fix that.

-The rest of the passage was stained in a red substance-

The rest explained the principle of maker mage freeform appliances and boring crap like that, which he already knew. He wondered if Magic was as advanced back then as it was now. Probably not. He read on...

Vinkheart would continue to read the notes laid out before him, his eyes gleaming this and that of the pages he was reading, looking for as much useful information as needed. It was then when he found the most grand discovery. " Amazing! " He would exclaim as he raised the page and then looked to the lachyrm on the table " Absolutly Fantastic! " he would continue. before placing the lachyrma and pages into his jacket and moving into the next work station filled with chemicals and the like.

Reading the notes for a few moments he would with out warning start mixing them and proportioning them out in strange quanilties then mix a few differnt bottles then toss a few dripps of new chemicals into them then push a few small bottles of the fully mixed liquids aside the bottle glowing for a few minutes before then changing into a shade of ruby red and stop glowing. " A few healing potions here. " he would say still read notes but pointing with one hand toward the ruby red bottles. He kept reading more and more as if he was cramming for a test.

Diaev continued to read, but found it rather difficult when Vinkheart cried out in glee over the discoveries. He was a bit eager, wasn't he? Sure, whatever was here contained his hearts desire, or his ultimate secret super spell or some crap but did he really have to scream out like that? He was acting like a child. The Iron Giant rubbed his temples and continued to read, seeing what else he could find out, perhaps a new spell?

Journal Entry XXX1

It seems I have dealt with the hostile villagers, it took me about a half hour because I was thinking of some creative and intelligent way to kill them. I had an infinite amount of possibilities, but it was rather hard to think of them when you're dodging and laughing at about fifty villagers.

So instead of being smart and creative, I decided to just wing it. Lo and behold some steel attack came out. About two hundred lances shot forth from my hands, but most of them missed which was rather disappointing. So to finish the last few off I made two blades out of my forearms focused a reasonable amount of power and just hit them with some powerful attack.

In all honesty it was a rather disinteresting attack, but for a lesser mage it might have been rather powerful, well, from their perspective.

Blades from the arms? That sounded oddly familiar? He learnt that spell from Colden if he remembered rightly, had he seen something similar too? Diaev was about to read on, but suddenly Vinkheart had concocted some kind of healing potion. The wonders of a laboratory. The Iron Giant got up and took one, downing it in one.

"Thanks." The Giant said, simply. "Don't get too excited here. We're not out of the woods yet." Then, the giant moved back, sat down and began reading.

As Diaev took his potion Vinkheart would keep reading seeming to have found some sort of blueprint for a gun. Some part were outdated but with some work this pistol could be created, what you ask was so special about this gun? It was a lachyrma pistol, something that Vinkheart knew was a dire topsecret project of the Fiore goverment and something no other country had yet. As far as the technology had come up till now was a Lachyma cannons to blast away large groups and to be mounted on ships. However this was a quite compact one that could be tweeked to a a single specific element, one the blueprints had already designed for. A darkness pistol.

Smiling with satisfaction of finding not one but two things already worth while Vinkheart would take a sip of his own healing potion feeling the magical properties combined with science working almost right away healing his needle wounds and restoring some of his magical power.

Done with the second work station Vinkheart would only have four walls filled with books to sort thru left! However, Dieav statement couldn't be more true that they were not out of the woods, they were just under them, however besides taking it to literal, a sound could be faintly heard from the entrance they had come in, the sound of many feet running toward them. It seemed the experiments were done feasting on each other and now the remaining were coming for fresh meat.

Sighing loudly " So many things unknown here...I just can fathom leaving....what a cruel mistress fate is " he would say strumming his hands across a shelf of books only ot stop and raise a eyebrow at the title " Magical Item manipulation " This was perfect for Vinkheart, grabbing the book he would tuck it into his jacket and sigh " I think its time we left, before we trigger another deadly trap" as Vinkheart would slowly point to something he had just noticed that was hidden from them both till now...a hourglass with sand timing how long that had spent in this room above the door they came in.

Diaev felt the effects of the healing potion soon after, feeling his body lighten, his ribs hurt less, but it was still likely a temporary measure. He would probably feel very much in pain the following morning, like a hangover on steroids, but less with a headache and grogginess, but more with the feeling like a hammer had been slammed right into that huge, muscled chest. The Iron Giant flicked through the journal, bloodstains, and new metal spells he could possibly try to teach himself. As he stood up, he remembered the tornado blade one, that actually sounded pretty cool, and dangerous. Also, the one with the landmines, oh, and he couldn't forget the lance one, that sounded pretty awesome, even if he'd probably never manage two hundred. Diaev looked through the bookcases and stations again, finding more books on the subject and just chucked them into his jacket. He'd read it all tonight in the hospital after they likely barely escaped this place due to some explosion or something.

Diaev could already hear the apparitions and monsters from before slowly approaching. He still had so much more to grab as well. This place was pretty big, huge amounts of books, and likely a plethora of information on the workings of magic, ethernano and general creepy journal entries about slaughtering villagers. Sadly though, fighting in here would prove to be too destructive, destroying such valuable materials would hinder their plans more than help them along, it would be much better to leave. Diaev nodded at Vinkheart's proposition and grabbed his stuff, but Vinkheart seemed shocked. Oh god. Something was going to be triggered, Diaev got his sprinting legs ready, for the love of god he 'd need them. He looked up to whatever Vinkheart was looking at, and his eyes widened. That couldn't be good. An hourglass.

"OK. Well let's start running!" Diaev suddenly ran for the exit.
