Looking around this new city....trying his best not to stare overly at the kissing couples around him, Olcas sighed and ran a hand through his hair and tried not to feel too embarrased at his current single status, and decided to focus primarily on the reason why he had come to this city in the first place... He had heard that there was a number of mages around, some of whom had some rather interesting fighting abilities, and due to his training, and his curiousity, Olcas just had to take the carriage out this direction, hoping with all his might the entire way that he wouldn't get lost in this rather romantic city, especially alone. Sitting on a bench, he took out his bo staff and sat down, a sign in front of him; Mage in training, looking for Sparring Partner |

Yet another day in Coreopsis. As usual couples flooded the streets enjoying the sights, events, and the natural romance of the city. But see, only tourists could be happy, and joyful about this cities looks, for the locals knew exactly what dark secrets were held in the shadows of this golden city. The locals knew Tartaro's was amongst them, and that any minute could ruin the romance, and happiness within the city. One particular person that was feared throughout the city was a white haired, red eye'd male. He was about 5'11", and had broad shoulders. His face having a scolding expression on his face. Then suddenly the white haired man stopped in the middle of a square starring over at a bench. A young male was sitting down holding a sign "Mage in training, looking for a spar" the white haired male couldn't help but break a smirk on the situation that this guy put himself in. Placing his hands in his pockets, the white haired male advanced forward towards the person on the bench. "Mighty dangerous holding a sign like that in this city..." Soul said taking one hand out of his pocket and held it out jestering the lack of people standing around the bench. "Not only do people come here for vacation and don't wish to fight... which is why the tourists are ignoring you. but I don't think that's the most interesting part, because the locals are starring hard at you, waiting for something bad to happen to you" the White haired male would say pointing out that the tourists were ignoring him, and the locals starring at him with a look of fear, and desperation on hoping nothing bad would unfold near them. |

Olcas looked at the newcomer, smirking slightly as the white haired man stood in front of him, guesturing to the crowd dramatically. "Well, I admit that it's a strange place to do so, but I heard that some people with strange magicks stay around here, and what better way to learn, and to improve my own skills than with some sparring practice?" he said, smiling as he stood. Olcas stood an inch taller than the stranger, his brown hair and brown eyes all the more normal when in contrast to the scarlet red ablino-haired person before him. The scowl on the face added a frown to Olcas', wondering what the person's problem was as he finished. "Well, if the locals are that starved for entertainment, and bad entertainment at that, this city can't have much interesting wizards and mages around can it? Maybe I should leave, find some mages worthy to practice with and against?" the young adult said, picking up his bo staff and spinning it between his fingers... |

"Well, I admit that it's a strange place to do so, but I heard that some people with strange magicks stay around here, and what better way to learn, and to improve my own skills than with some sparring practice?" the male said seeming to be happy to test and improve his skills against anybody. Soul simply stayed quiet wondering what nonsense he would spurt out next. It was obvious that this man had no idea what this place was really about. Did he really come here to spar in some random town because he heard that some tough mages were residents here? the sheer thought of this stupid kids motives made the white haired male break out laughing at him. "Well, if the locals are that starved for entertainment, and bad entertainment at that, this city can't have much interesting wizards and mages around can it? Maybe I should leave, find some mages worthy to practice with and against?" the boy say as Soul was laughing. But unlike the last comment, Soul didn't seem to amused by it and quit laughing. "That's some bold talk coming from somebody that can barely spin a staff properly..."Soul said with a mild aggressive tone. "I'll tell you what... I'll spar with you.. And if you can even land a single hit on me, I'll buy you a beer" Soul said to the male with a serious expression on his face. Walking out to a spacious area in the square, Soul began to stretch his arms out, and then bend over and stretch his legs. Standing back up straight, Soul would roll his neck which in turn cracked it. "I hope your ready, because judging from how damn cocky you are, I am going to enjoy every minute of this" Soul said removing his shirt and jacket all together. Now only wearing a tank top, Soul muscular body that is normally covered by baggy clothes was all out to see. "And please, don't disappoint.." |

And if you can even land a single hit on me, I'll buy you a beer" the white haired man said to him, as he cracked his joints and limbered up. Olcas smirked and shrugged as he moved a fair distance away and did the same. "Not much of a drinker I'll admit, but I take it this means you're one of the mages huh?" he said, spinning his staff around and passing it from hand to hand, making sure it's feel was as satisfactory as possible. "Good. Always interested to learn some new magicks." he smirked as he took up a fighting stance, his staff balanced at a 45 degree angle to the ground, his legs apart and feet facing the red-eyed man before him. "I hope your ready, because judging from how damn cocky you are, I am going to enjoy every minute of this. And please, don't disappoint.." came the retort, Olcas smirking. "I'll do my best. But someone obviously hasn't sparred before. If there's a clear winner, he won't be having much practice, will he? Seeing as that's the case, you can make the first move..." he said, winking. |

Standing still as the mand moved away from Soul creating distance between the two. soul watched as the man did the same as he did and then start spinning his staff around. Moving his staff from one hand to the next Soul's eye's followed it's movements as if it was in slow motion. Then when the boy said something about him being a mage, Soul casted a smirk his way. "You'll pay to find that out" "I'll do my best. But someone obviously hasn't sparred before. If there's a clear winner, he won't be having much practice, will he? Seeing as that's the case, you can make the first move..." The id gesturing for Soul to make the first move. Soul put a big smirk on his face as he starred at the man. "Alright, but only since you insist." Soul said as he slowly began to hop on one foot before switching to his other foot and then started to hop back and fourth in bother feet. Then within a blink of an eye, Soul took off towards the male like a rocket. Within a few seconds Soul had cleared the distance between the two like he had simply only took one step forward to get to him. Stopping beside the male, Soul lifted his hand up and attempted to back hand the male across the face. The back hand was nothing hard, and would only knock him off balance if he got hit by it which would most likely happen. |

"Alright, but only since you insist." the man said as he slowly began to hop on one foot before switching to his other foot and then started to hop back and fourth between his feet. Olcas watched him with interest, waiting the moment that he would attack, this movement obviously meant to distract him....that or it was a strange warm up. BAM, the attack came flashing out against his cheek, knocking him sideways slightly, the few seconds of movement Olcas had used to react with surprise to the speed, a rookie's mistake, and one he cursed himself for. But his own spells of swiftness allowed him to see the movements, the quick running, almost like a single step, as he came closer, and instinctually, he had reacted. As the backhand slapped across his cheek, making his upper torso twist with the force, his arm made his metal staff rise, pulled with the force of the punch, it's blunt end heading upwards at a curve towards Soul's own face... |

SMACK! Soul's hand connected with the males face causing him to twist in the opposite direction of Soul. Though, As soon as the males body started twisting, Soul's eye's moved towards the males staff that was currently being lifted up attempting to hit Soul in the face. Soul didn't flinch though, and simply leaned back casually letting the staff go harmlessly by. But, Soul wouldn't just let the staff safely fly by without consequence. The second the bo staff passed by Soul's face, he would lift up his right leg and send a heavy push kick into the mans half turned torso which would easily cause the male to be lifted off his feet and fly a few feet before hitting the ground. "I admit that was cleaver, but you didn't aim" Soul said. "That strike was purely instinct, and wouldn't hit the broad side of a barn" Soul continued pointing out the second rookie mistake he made. "Now I think it's your turn to attack... try and make it count.." Soul said standing nonchalantly as he waited for the male to make his move. |

The staff missed it's intended target, true, but another use could be found as Soul raised his boot and kicked against Olcas, intending to knock him back. And while this worked, Olcas had enough to grab the moving end in his free hand, using the staff as a buffer against the kick, moving back a few feet still, but without much harm. "I admit that was cleaver, but you didn't aim" the man said. "That strike was purely instinct, and wouldn't hit the broad side of a barn." Olcas sighed at the cliche and rubbed his jaw, the pain fading to a dull, ignorable ache. "Now I think it's your turn to attack... try and make it count.." came the taunt. "Alright, but only since you insist." parroted Olcas as he went for the unexpected move, a Sonic Boom, one of his first ever techniques, a small force explosion with the same strength as the backhand from before appearing right in his opponent's face. At the same time, Olcas dashed forewards, his long staff's tip aiming for the hopefully reeling man's stomach... |

Another cleaver move put to the test by this male. When Soul kicked he was quick to move his staff in front of it, but still he slid back as anticipated. It also seemed that Soul's taunting was working on this guys cocky behavior which was also anticipated. Soul had learned after many fights that getting your opponent angry was always a good way to get him to leave opening. And Oclas was falling into it with grace when he started to mock Soul. "Lets see what you got!" Soul said as his opponent used his magic. And given Soul's keen eye for following things, he was easily able to see the disruption in the air in front of his face. But no, Soul didn't even try to dodge, and simply stood in place. BAM! the males magic hit Soul directly where he aimed. But Soul didn't flinch or move and inch from where he was positioned. Then as the male came appearing in front of him, Soul would jump up and stick his left foot on the tip of the bow staff to use the leverage and spin around sending a heavy kick into oclas's face. The blow would be more then enough to daze him, even knock him out if the kick lands perfectly. After landing on the ground Soul would turned towards the male with a light, unworried, unamused face. "That was an interesting little magic you have. But it's weak..." Soul said stating the cold hard truth. Edited by Aroshi, Feb 3 2012, 02:09 AM.
