Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

OOC: ...That's such a cheap shot on Sinny's part... xD

While the mage was still wobbly from his earlier spell, he still had enough strength to move. However, he was holding on by a thread, and if the negative of effect his technique didn't wear off soon, he would be in grave danger. He had already taken a massive hit from Lambo (even if he somehow blocked it in time) and was seeing a little blurry now. But his speed... Yes, at least his speed, now superior to Lambo's, would give him some semblance of an advantage over him.

So the mage, taking advantage of this and the fact that he was in a dust cloud, sent three air slashes towards his opponent. As he would block this, the mage jumped out of the dust cloud that was slowly dissipating and sent a burst of light towards his opponent. Suprisingly, the cowman didn't do something out of the ordinary; he sidestepped the first air blade, jumped over the second one and stood his ground against the third one and the burst of light. It shocked Larkin and almost made him lose hope. However, he noticed something that gave him a glimmer of hope. The third air slash and Million Suns attack had done some damage to Lambo's armor. So... It can be destroyed much more easily than I thought... The mage dashed towards the cowman, just as he stretched his palms apart and threw a lightning bolt like a Zeus.

Fortunately, even with the low stamina he had, the mage had enough strength to move at a high speed, though his heart was racing faster than usual. The Sonic Sword's speed buff was tremendous and so, the mage, as he ran, simply ducked when the Zeus Bolt came towards him, letting it pass right above his head. As it did, he felt the tremendous electric power behind it, as well as the great heat it generated. It would have been dangerous if he had been hit by it. As he continued his way, he jumped on the side to avoid any additional attack that could've come his way and used Million Suns' second spell, the one he had developped. Suddenly, sixty beads of light were formed and fired towards the cowman. He could dodge a few, but at the speed they were coming and the power behind them... He wasn't sure whether or not Lambo would be standing.

Larkin dodged the lightning bolt, to Lambo's surprise - not that he doubted the sword mage's movement skills, but he looked like he was beginning to wear a bit thin around the edges, especially after that strike that made Lambo don his ultimate armor. He was unprepared for Larkin's next shot, however, a volley of light blasts that Lambo crossed his arms to defend against, the barrage of luminescence crashing down on the armored cow mage. When the dust cleared, Lambo was still standing, but crack ran throughout his armor, and most of it had a good scorching. Lowering his arms slighty, he coughed once, one hand straying to his ribs, where Larkin's last big move had hit.

"Not ba----" Lambo began to say, then stopped as a small "bwoosh" sound was heard in the distance. He ran forward with enough speed to put even Larkin's speed sword to shame, shouldering Larkin aside as a blast of purple light slammed into Lambo's back, taking the hit meant for Larkin instead. As Lambo was pitched forward onto the ground with a smoking back, a deep, condescending voice sounded from the arena staircase: "You know I do not tolerate failure, Lambo." Rising to his elbows, Lambo grunted and coughed up a small bit of blood, retorting, "And you know I disapprove of your methods, Rictus." The figure on the stairs bore a resemblance befitting a super villian - a purple cape and tights, a large white X on his chest and forehead, and a dark, ruthless gaze.

Lambo wasn't looking so good. Collapsing to earth again, he held out a hand and gripped Larkin by the ankle. "You had some nice moves, but don't go easy on this guy - he'd kill you for the amusement." A green light sparkled around Lambo as he vanished, a light that rushed around Larkin like a thin whirlwind, healing his wounds and easing his fatigue.

Rictus scowled. "A traitor to the end, that cow. Never mind, then." Rictus leapt from the staircase and landed at the base of the stairs. "Wounds or no, I shall kill you....with DEATH!" Rictus raised a hand and blasted an orb of purple light at Larkin that screeched to a halt a few feet from him, spinning inward like a vortex. A moment later, all of Larkin's weapons would appear, only to get drawn into the vortex and vanish. The vortex would then fly backward and hover over the arena, holding his weapons prisoner. "Let's see how well you fight without your weapon of choice, swordsman." Rictus intoned as he walked towards Larkin, cracking his knuckles.

Panting heavily, his heart racing three times faster, Larkin, with the new speed Silfarion gave him, ducked while running and let the Zeus Lightning Bolt whizz right above his head. The Fairy Tail mage then jumped to the side and swung his Million Suns, sending a barrage of powerful light beads. As Larkin landed from his jump and continued to slide, he watched as his spell worked wonderfully on Lambo. While he was indeed still standing (to which Larkin's eyes widened and a smile etched on his face), the cowman was significantly weakened, especially when he saw that his armor was cracked everywhere. Also, he was putting his hand on his ribs, confirming that "Million Light Show" had gotten through the armor and attacked his personally.

However, something odd happened. As the mage watched, something... came out of nowhere and was heading for Larkin. Everything happened so fast that, when the mage actually realized what was happening, Lambo had already been hit and some weird costumed man was standing on top of the Coliseum stairs, staring the two down with a patronizing air. The air around this man was a mixture of evil, power and... silliness? The mage couldn't put his finger on it. In any case, taking a deep breath, he realized that, indeed, the negative of effect of his crimson technique had wore off. The man and Lambo spoke briefly, which revealed to Larkin that this "Rictus" guy was the boss of Casey's vivide and malevolent dreams. Fortunately for Larkin, Lambo, as he disappeared and told the mage to watch out, became sparkles of green light which swirled around him. He felt suddenly reenergized and ready to kick butt.

The Rictus man, with his rather flamboyant stature and costume, jumped from the stairs and landed near their end, with a large thud that could be heard from miles away. The mage put his game face on, but was surprised when the man already launched a rather intimidating looking vortex. He leaped backwards, but saw that it had stopped meters before coming to him. The vortex became stronger and suddenly, all of Larkin's weapons appeared and got sucked in, remaining prisoner of it as it flew to the sky. Not again!

Let's see how well you fight without your weapon of choice, swordsman.

Well, to be honest... Not so well. So let's strike a deal. I land one clean hit on you, you give me my weapons back.

The mage had been honest, all with a smile. It was just the way he was, honest and awesome. Thus, he waited to see what Rictus would say to this challenge, something he knew he could not refuse.

Rictus' head tilted back as he barked a laugh. "A clean hit? Oh, good one, mage. A clean from you would leave me less sore than my morning exercises. But your idea in concept is interesting," Rictus mused, rubbing his chin. "I'll make you my own deal - if you can land a solid hit on me, I'll give you back one of your swords at random - this won't last very long, otherwise." Rictus said with a vile grin.

Rictus made a superhuman leap from his position though the air, right at Larkin, drawing one meaty fist closed, preparing to turn Larkin into a crater on impact.

Rictus, apparently the boss of all the bad things in Casey's dreams, appeared out of nowhere and tried to suckerpunch-attack Larkin. However, with a speed much, much more impressive than he had ever seen before (not even Killer could match that), Lambo pushed Larkin and took the attack meant for him. The mage wasn't sure at first why he would do such a thing, but finally understood as he listened closely to the cowman's talk with the flamboyant villain. It seems that, even if they were on the same side, they weren't quite buddies. Thus, Lambo turned into a green light that swirled around him and gave him back his full strength, replenished his health and his magical energy, just like he was this morning.

As that happened, the light dissipated. The mage silently thanked the lightning cowman. For some reason, every single opponent he met and fought hard against always ended up being a rival, a friend or an ally. Maybe there was something there; maybe Larkin had something inside of him that seemed to attract respect. To the point that Rictus wanted to eliminate him before he could even make a single move. In any case, as Lambo disappeared, Rictus send some kind of wave towards the mage. Larkin instincitvely jumped back, ready to ex-quip his blade. However, to his annoyment, his weapons were sucked in by the vortex, and said vortex started floating up very high in the sky. Then Larkin gave him his proposition: if he could land a clean hit on the man, he would get his weapons back. Rictus started to laugh.

A clean hit? Oh, good one, mage. A clean from you would leave me less sore than my morning exercises. But your idea in concept is interesting. I'll make you my own deal - if you can land a solid hit on me, I'll give you back one of your swords at random - this won't last very long, otherwise.

Fair enough, heh.

Larkin smiled and got into battle position. He wasn't used to hand-to-hand combat, but he wasn't too bad. After all, Lazarius wasn't too much of a weapons-guy when they were younger, so they usually trained with no weapons back in the days. As Rictus made one of the leaps that spelled "You're a dead man", Larkin relaxed his muscles. The man sent a punch of massive strength that even the mage could feel as it started its trajectory. As the punch towards him, the mage acted swiftly and spun counterclock-wise (assuming Rictus' punch is from his right fist). As the man would continue on to hit the ground, the mage would try to punch the man in his face with his right fist, putting strength behind it.

Rictus' hit was off the mark, leaving a small crater where Larkin had been as he spun to the side (Rictus' left side) to dodge the strike, using the momentum to do a full spin and swing out at Rictus with his own fist, intending to get that clean hit in early, but Rictus raised his other meaty fist and caught the blow on his palm, gripping Larkin's fist with a grin. "Nice try, boy." Rictus raised his other meaty fist and swung it at Larkin's midsection, aiming to throw Larkin back instead of cripple him, as he released Larkin's fist at the same moment he swung.

OOC: It's been two months because of me... let's finish this xD

As Rictus, Lambo's boss and seemingly the strongest man in those dreams, leaped into the air and sent a right punch towards Larkin, the Fairy Tail mage could sense that if he was hit by this, he was going to have a bad time. Thus, when the attack came with speed towards him, he dodged rather skillfully and sent his own right fist to connect with Rictus' face. When the right fist made contact with the ground a small crater was created, slightly destabilising Larkin. Of course, his fist did not make contact with Rictus' face; instead, the man's left arm moved fast enough to catch his fist.

What happened next happened in a flash. Letting go of his arm, Rictus simultaneously launched another right fist, but this time towards the Fairy Tail's midsection. Larkin only had a split second decision to make, so he tensed up his left arm and went with a karate side block. While it did put the arm of his opponent out of harm's way, it also was so strong that it was pushing him. Standing his ground, he found an opening and went with a front kick to the man's chin.

Take this!

The boy was either more determined or more crazy than Rictus first assumed. Instead of trying to dodge the incoming blow like he had the last one, he opted to block in instead with his arm, the force of the blow still enough to push the boy back a bit to the edge of Rictus' reach, his feet making twin furrows in the sandy earth of the arena. He followed up the block with a swift kick upward, catching Rictus just under the jaw and flipping his head back a bit. Leaping back, Rictus stood up and stood his ground against Larkin, but idly rubbed his chin for a moment before placing a hand on the side of his neck and pushing slightly. The popping of bone was audible as he popped his neck bones.

Rictus let out a single laugh. "Not bad." He raised his hand and a sword appeared in it - Larkin's Million Suns. Flipping it in his hand so that it being held by the hilt, pointing downward, he tossed it to Larkin underhanded. "But I'd advise not blocking with your arms if you intend to use them to fight me, boy." Rictus raised his own arms and clenched them - the muscles bulged against his colorful costume as he prepared for another round with Larkin.

Larkin felt he was getting stronger, faster, smarter as this mission went on. He was evolving during this dream excursion.

The proof was the fact that he was fighting rather well against this Rictus dude in a hand-to-hand situation. Sure, he had missed the first chance he had created (rather a well executed thing), but he didn't let that slow him down one bit. After dodging the rather powerful punch, which created a crater upon impact with the ground, Larkin sent a punch towards the man's face. However, the man wasn't out of the loop just yet. He caught the attack halfway through. Raising his other fist from the ground, he sent a punch towards his midsection. Not yet!!

With a karate chop, he pushed the fist away from its original course, making it continue right next to him. However, the strength behind the strike was so strong that Larkin was gritting his teeth to keep his balance, being slightly pushed back. The Fairy Tail member then went for a front kick towards the man's chin. He felt it; this time, he was gonna get this hit in. And he did. With the kick, Rictus replaced his head and praised the young man, giving his favorite sword back; Millions Suns. Larkin smiled and thanked him. He then aimed his sword at him and shot a burst of light towards him.

Rictus tossed the sword back to Larkin, but didn't see the followup coming, as the blast from Million Suns hit him square in the chest, knocking him right on his backside as his cape trailed a bit behind him, coughing and rubbing the spot the Million Suns blast hit, sitting up a bit to look at Larkin for a moment, then letting out a coughing laugh. "That'll do, then." said a voice that was definitely not the one Rictus had a moment ago.

A pillar of black smoke curled out of Rictus' mouth and coiled into a ball of jet black over Rictus's now-still form. Something in that ball had been sustaining Rictus, as his body swiftly turned to stone after the smoke left his prone form. The ball, however, was like a patch of emptiness - not darkness, but as if someone had torn that bit of the world out and left an endlessly peep hole into the void in its place. The ball began to lengthen, sprouting limbs and a head, stretching them out as the finer details in the hair and clothing sketched themselves out, finishing as the figure descended to the ground on brand-new feet, one foot on Rictus's stone head - the cloak of utter absence of existence around his entire being aside, he looked like Larkin's twin.

Two slits of yellow opened on the head to serve as eyes, which focused on the swordsman. "So, what do you think?" asked the shadowy, snake-like voice. "I was growing bored with that meathead, anyway," it said with contempt, twisting his foot to crush Rictus's stone head under his heel, the body slowly dissolving into dust and vanishing from sight. "But you....I could see alot of fun to be had with your form," it mused with a smirk. "I had been storing myself away in that muscle-bound buffoon while I tried to figure out a way to escape this horribly cramped head of the fool who hired you. Oh yes, I know all about that," it said, waving its shadowy finger back and forth. "We're inside his head, after all. And thanks to you, I'll have enough magic to escape from this coward's mind and gain a form of my own. But I'll be needing a stepping stool to that platform, one of sufficient magical power....I guess I'll borrow yours!" The void creature swung it's arms out, and Rictus's magical orb from the battle's start appeared, and a moment later, all the swords Larkin had lost, save for Million Suns, appeared in a ring around the nothingness being, before vanishing into its depths like quicksand.

A moment later, one sword, Larkin's Mel Force, appeared in his hand, which the creature raised in a sparring stance. "As they say in the mortal realm, En Garde!" The monster swung the blade down, launching a blast of air at Larkin.
