OOC: Sorry for the late post, I was museless -___- Also, Larkin no get more magic? Sadness... The sense of danger was slowly rising in Larkin Falzo's blood as he stepped onto the tile. Taking a deep breath, he pressed his foot and waited to see what would happen. Suddenly, a dart zipped through the air and right next to his neck, ending its short-lived travel towards another pillar. Everything happened so fast that the mage didn't realize what happened until the dart ended its course. Letting out a sigh of relief, the mage then looked at the tile he stepped on. Unfortunately for him, this wasn't the symbol he needed to travel through the first room; however, this one was right next to the one he had to step on, as he remembered the order of things (more or less). Placing his foot on the tile to his right, the Fairy Tail young man sighed in relief as he finally got onto the right symbol. He then made his way to the second room. This time around, knowing full well that he could end up with darts or worse all over his body, Larkin decided to go simply disregard the whole thinking part and dashed forward. Unex-quipping his Millions Suns, he waited until he reached actual test floor. When he got there, he ex-quipped Silfarion. With the upgrade the Magnolia Blacksmith gave it, the speed boost it gave Larkin was at least ten times greater than before. With this new agility, the mage confidently stepped on the tile, which happened to be the wrong one again. As he kept stepping on wrong symbols one after the other, darts and all kinds of cool ninja flying weapons were coming his way, but thanks to Silfarion, he was able to dodge them with ease. He did the same with the third room, but this time, the tiles didn't even tell whether they were the correct symbols or wrong ones. Nonetheless, using his memory of what he had, coupled with his experience of the first room and his speed, he went through the correct path (more or less). Three down, one more to go! Arriving at the end of the Test of Patience, the mage unex-quipped Silfarion and any other weapon he might have with him. Taking a deep breath, he took the third light, the Essence of Patience. After he touched it, a flash of light blinded his vision. When he finally could see again, Larkin was back into Casey's Dream-Room. The mage let out a sigh of relief and watched as the Essence went into the box once more. He then faced the last door, where the last Essence (and probably the hardest to get) resided. He approached the door and pressed the button, waiting to see what would happen. I'm not gonna to let you down, Casey... |

As Larkin pressed the button, the door shuddered, the button sinking inward with a rough grinding of stone as dust was shed from the door's hinges and surface, as it slowly ground open. If Larkin stepped inside, he'd find himself in a long stone tunnel that led out onto the second story of a gladiator-type arena, with 4 pillars framed around the center, and a dirt floor that hadn't been paved well - it was uneven in height, like the arena had just been dropped onto the hill. The sky was dark with black clouds, and while visibility wasn't a problem, it cast a dark pall over the entire show. The stands of black obsidian circled the arena on the upper floor, but notably empty - not a single spectator, of any variety. Withered flags perched from the arena's edges, a few collapsed from age as the wood in their support poles rotted away, the rest having been eaten by moths, so whatever symbol had been on the flags was long gone, just tatters flapping weakly in the breeze. The entire arena had a mild sulfur smell, as if they were smelting things somewhere. The stone was cool to the touch, though. Larkin's hat companion was back, this time perched on another urn to Larkin's left, set atop a smal obsidian pillar so the urn was at stomach-height. "The final essence....and the hardest to acquire. You'll be needing this..." the hat said as it flipped the lid off the urn, and a bright orb the color of Larkin's Million Suns shot into the air, hovering for a split second, then dove and vanished into Larkin's chest, leaving only a faint ripple of light on his torso before swiftly fading away. "You'll find all your items and magic restored to you, but I pray you don't need them." And with that, the hat vanished, apparently not even wanting to linger here, such was the danger. At the end of the stone tunnel, Larkin would find a small staircase leading up to the second story proper, then a larger one leading down onto the arena floor. Once he stepped off the last step onto the dirt arena, the staircase would retract, the steps sinking into each other, removing any escape. Two minotaurs would step from the shadows, each 10 feet tall and wielding clubs with metal heads the size of infants. Shaggy fur coated their top halves, and their horns were each 3 feet long. Their hooves made small prints and dust clouds as they walked towards Larkin. |

Larkin, after getting the third essence, was transported back to Casey’s Dream Room. The essence went inside the same chest the others had gone inside. The mage took a deep breath. This whole missions seemed to be coming to an end, and yet, the Fairy Tail mage had this feeling that this was far from over. Maybe it was from all the times he had come close to ending an ordeal, only for something bigger to appear and show much more power. This happened in that alternate dimension, with the mysterious “shadow” controlling the war, this happened in the forest when the kid was revealed to actually be a greedy son of b****, this happened again when the mage teamed up with Eric and Stella (from Quatro Cerberus) and tried to get rid of the remnants of Ghoul Spirit, only to find out some other dude controlled this faction. Every single time, something worse was going to happen and this situation was no exception. Larkin simply sighed and shrugged; all he could do is do his best to remedy to this problem. The Fairy Tail mage pressed the button of the last door. As the button slowly got pushed in, the way the door opened reminded him of a gate. In fact, it reminded him of a situation he was in with his good friend Aiden D. Vakarian not too long ago, which foreboded nothing good. He started walking down the long tunnel, getting mentally ready for anything this last test could throw at him. However, having seen the craziness of Casey’s dreams, Larkin expected nothing less but extreme creatures, soldiers, ghouls, animals and whatnot. I just hope I’ll be tough enough to fight whatever’s ahead… As he reached the end of the tunnel, Larkin stretched his limbs and entered the large area. In front of him was an area one could only describe as a Gladiator Coliseum. He didn’t like this; this meant unnecessary bloodshed was about to happen, and he would have to deliver a performance. To his great surprise there was… no one. The stands were all empty, void of any human or whatever life. Before he could descend the steps in front of him, the hat appeared next to him and somehow flipped the lid on yet another urn. This time, instead of an item came out a pretty light which was very similar to the one his Millions Suns gave off. It danced a few seconds in the air before entering Larkin. The young man’s body started glowing before the radiance slowly faded away. At this instant, he felt it all again. His magical power, that is. It was back, better than ever, but the hat truly hoped he wouldn’t have to use them; then it disappeared, apparently too scared to stick around. The mage frowned; was it really that dangerous? Sighing, the mage continued his way, walking down the stairs. When his two feet were in the arena, the staircase retracted back into the Coliseum’s wall, making escape practically impossibru. Larkin then watched as two creatures of legend came out of the shadows. They were Minotaurs, a hybrid of man and bull, or in this case, cow. The mage was half concerned and half trying hard not to chuckle. They seemed ferocious, with their overbearing size, their shaggy fur and rather large horns. However, their smug suggested something… cute? Sweet? The mage tried hard not to think about it, especially with their clubs. Larkin then smiled at them, ready to fight them. You guys are the welcoming committee? Well, let’s have a good match. He decided that, as this was the last test, he would have to go full out. The mage ex-quipped his Eisenmeteor and got into a battle position with the large Metal Sword as the two hybrid monsters slowly came towards them with their weapons. This battle wouldn’t be easy, but Larkin had confidence in his ability; thus, as they got closer, the spiky brown-haired young man made a swirling motion with the big blade, sending a spiraling air slash towards them. It was large enough and strong enough to strike both of them with full force, but the mage wasn’t counting on it to hit. Rather, he was testing their strength and endurance. Let’s see how this goes… |

As the spiraling air slash raced across the distance between the two parties, the two minotaurs swung their maces back and smashed the nearby pillar, which the bottom exploded out from in a burst of powdery dust, the pillar dropping a few inches, then falling down, landing on top of the approaching wave, which hit the pillar and burst it into a thousand stone splinters that rained dust and rubble onto the floor of the arena. As the dust cleared, the two minotaurs ran through the remains of the dust cloud, their mallets in both hands as they ran to either side of Larkin, swing their weapons in sync at either of Larkin's side. (Blargh, my muse. I'd wait for inspiration, but I felt like I've put it off too long as it is.) |

As he entered the door for the last trial, Larkin knew in his heart that this one would be much more difficult than the three last ones he had overcome. In fact, the fact that the talking hat disappeared before the trial even started indicated the difficulty level of this last test. However, the mage didn’t feat this one bit. He was ready to take this challenge and get the last piece of the client’s very Essence for him. Not one, nothing and no dream would stop him from completing his job. After all, he was a Fairy Tail mage, and one did not simply fail a mission when one was part of said guild. However, this job did come with its challenges. For example, when Larkin came down the stairs (which retracted back to the wall), two funny-looking minotaurs came his way slowly, each of them wielding a spiky club/mace. They were ready to give the mage some serious pain and suffering for entering their victim’s dreams, but Larkin wasn’t going to back down. Ex-quipping his Eisenmeteor, the large metal blade glimmered in the light of the fake sun rays that actually could escape the grey clouds. The warrior waited for the beasts to get closer, for all three of the adversaries were close range fighters. At a comfortable distance, Larkin, holding the Metal Sword’s handle with both hands, created a rotating air slash by creating a rotating motion with his sword. The strength behind it was considerable and he didn’t hold back at all. If it hit, he knew that both of them would be in real trouble. If it didn’t hit, or they withstood it, he knew that he would have to increase the pressure on them. However, the two Minotaurs weren’t going to let up so easily. The two funny looking monsters swung their maces towards a large pillar, which created a thick and large pile of rubble. The debris were able to take the attack and protect the enemies, as it turned into dust at the sheer power of the air slash. While Larkin was a little disappointed he didn’t hit his opponents, he was proud of the damage he was now able to do with that technique. Now it was time to act fast. The two Minotaurs ran through the dust of cloud, something the mage half-expected, and swung their maces with surprising synchronization. Larkin didn’t waste any time. Stabbing Eisenmeteor to the ground and used the elevated handle to get out of harm’s way. As the maces hit the blade part of the Metal Sword, the Fairy Tail mage did the awesome split kick, aiming to hit both the Minotaurs’ heads at the same time. Any other tricks you guys wanna try? |

As the minotaur duo attacked Larkin from either side with their warhammers, Larkin planted his sword into the soil and leapt atop the hilt, the twin hammers clanging against the steel blade instead of Larkin's ribs, as the surprisingly athletic swordsman did the splits atop his weapon to land a kick on the faces of both minotaurs at the same time. The minotaurs stumbled back a few paces, their heads thrown back slightly by the impact - while Larkin was no weakling, the minotaurs were fairly buff themselves. Shaking their heads - alot like cows would, actually, but given their anatomy, no surprise - they gripped their hammers once more, having managed to keep ahold of them after Larkin face-kicked the two of them. The two of them ran forward at Larkin, holding their hammers down and low, preparing to tackle Larkin or swing if he moved. |

The opponents were big and seemed strong, but even with him being smaller than the two monsters, Larkin Falzo was not to be taken lightly. The mage was quick on his feet, was physically strong and could take hits, though he always avoided to get hit. He knew that being fast would help him against such opponents. In fact, he was counting on his speed to avoid any strike these beasts would try to land on him with their blunt weapons of doom. Thus, as they got closer, he tested their strength and intelligence by sending a spiraling air slash between them. It was big enough and powerful enough to hit both of them and hurt them gravely. However, as Larkin suspected, the Minotaurs were not stupid. With their warhammers they hit a pillar; the debris covered both of them from getting his, though the blocks became small fibers. As soon as it hit, it created a dust cloud. From it the two monsters emerged and went from each side of Larkin. There, they tried to hit him (more like squash him) by swinging their weapons. The Fairy Tail mage planted his Eisenmeteor into the ground and leaped atop the hilt, dodging the two simultaneous attacks. As the warhammers hit the blade part of the Metal Sword, the mage flexibly kicked both the Minotaurs in their heads with a quick split. He hit as hard as he could when a person tried to kick two people with a split. However, his opponents were much more resistant that what he initially thought. He felt that his kicks had hit the mark, but hadn’t dug deep enough to knock them out. Indeed, Larkin was strong, but the Beasts of mythology were quite buff. So I have to attack them with my swords in order to win… The first thing he did as he landed was taking his Eisenmeteor in his hands and unex-quipping it. He then looked to both sides. The Minotaurs were charging towards him once more, but this time, their warhammers were low. He didn’t know what exactly they would do and he wouldn’t stick around to find out. Ex-quipping Silfarion in his left hand and Millions Suns in his right hand, Larkin used the enhanced strength of the Sonic Blade to move out of the zone of hit and stay 15 feet away from them in two leaps. From that distance, he aimed his blade, but instead of letting loose the normal light burst, he let out forty football-shaped beads of light blue light towards the two Minotaurs. By the time the spell would hit them, they would be near one another, so both of them would take the full brunt of the attack. Spell Used

As the two minotaurs ran at Larkin, he skipped aside with the buff from his weapons, following up with a barrage of spell light at the minotaur duo, the duo emerging from the attack covered in small bruises head to hoof, as if they'd lost badly in a paintball match. The two minotaurs glanced at each other briefly. The two dropped their hammers in the dirt and took up places a few feet apart from each other, both facing in Larkin's direction, holding their arms out to the sides, then shuffled towards each other, raising their arms in a semi circle towards each other slowly, so that their arms were pointing at each other when they stopped moving, then whipped the arms to their original position, extending one knee out the same way, then planted either leg in the dirt as the arms whipped back around, so that they stopped moving just as they touched, forming a bridge between the two. A flash of light appeared from between the tips of their fingers, their entire bodies glowing with light, as the two minotaur-shaped forms of light flowed together, forming a more human form...with a black suit on. And strangely, wavy black hair that hung near his shoulders. The man had a rather bored expression with a twist of mild interest mixed in. "My, my..." the man said, idly scratching the back of his head, "I didn't think those two would need to bring me out to play." The man had an undershirt with a cow-print on it, his bangs covering one eye as the other sized Larkin up. He kept his hands in his pockets, seeming terribly relaxed. Movement Example Cow-Man Image

The battle was now heating up. Larkin, after getting the first clean hits of the battle, saw the two cow monsters come at him with speed, trying to club hit him if he wielded his weapon and tackle him to catch him off guard. The Fairy Tail mage decided not to take his chances, using his Silfarion to get out of the way very quickly. It was so sudden and quick that the monsters were still charging when they realized that their prey was out of harm's way. There was no way he was about to get himself killed in a dream. He had his own dreams to take care of, a present darkness that he was able to tame until now but could resurface any time, missions to take care of, a guild to hold up high, friends to help and a girlfriend to be around with. He wasn't going to let two anthropomorphic cows kill him here. Thus, he ex-quipped his Millions Suns while still holding on to Silfarion and aimed it at the two monsters of mythical legend. He fired his "Million Light Show" towards them, making it obvious that he wanted to finish this quickly. Though he liked to take things at his own pace and to fight with all of his strength, this was not about him. This was about a client who was having dreams that affected him physically and mentally. Larkin wouldn’t abandon Casey in his time of need, and not just because he was paying him afterwards. No… He was doing it because that’s who he was and that was what real Fairy Tail mages did. The young Brown haired youth was not backing out of this mission. The spell he unleashed was powerful enough to defeat them soundly and yet, he couldn’t shake the feeling that this wasn’t over. Indeed, he watched as the tanks of pure raw power got back up, though injured by the spell the mage had used against them. They looked at him and then looked at each other. Larkin frowned; it seemed as if they were somehow discussing what to do, though words were not uttered at all. After a few seconds, they got up with difficulty. At first the mage thought they were going to do some crazy voodoo dance to send some kind of insane wave of magic, but what came next was worse. As they distanced themselves and created a half circle with their arms, Larkin’s eyes widened. Oh no they did not just… The mage backed away a tad bit, knowing full well where this was going. It was the ultimate technique, the crazy dance, the FUSION SPELL. He watched as the tip of their fingers touched and their bodies became one light. As the two glowing individuals fused into one person, Larkin feared the worse. A two headed minotaur? An even bigger minotaur, with four arms? What came out was totally unexpected. Instead of a monster, there was… a young man. He was about his age, but had features that made it clear he was in cohoots with the cow beasts. The first thing that gave it away was his clothes, most notably his shirt since on it was many patterns of cows. The next item were the horns protruding from each side of his head. As the young man sighed and commented on how the two had called him, Larkin was in awe. Not in shock because the monsters had fused, but in shock because the man in front of him… was a cow man! The mage approached frantically, circling around him to observe him with more detail. This man was definitely a cow man; the first time he had ever seen one in his entire existence! This is so cool! Teach me!! |

The cow-man glanced up at Larkin through one half-open eye, bemused by Larkin's obvious excitement. "Teach you what, kid? The two minos know the dance you no doubt saw that brought me here - it would be impossible for me to show you how to do it solo." He said with a low tone and a slight shake of his head, as if rather bored of his situation. "But if those two summoned me, it can only mean you're the one they're trying to defeat. Nothing personal, kid," he said, pulling what looked like a pair of horns out of his suit pockets and screwing them onto his head someplace hidden by his hair. As soon as the two horns were in place, lightning sparkled and crackled around them. "But I need you to take a nap. Thunder Set!" He yelled, and lightning shot down from the sky to strike the cow-man's horns, lighting dancing around them before forming into a longer and more deadly looking-pair of horns made of lighting over the originals, the lightning horns about 3 feet long and half a foot wide. "Electtrico Cornata!" he yelled again, running straight at Larkin with his head angled downward a bit so the horn tips were aimed right at Larkin. Lightning Lambo vs Larkin Falzo Battle Music
