What was special with his father obsession? Ever since she told him his fortune, Koren was thinking more and more about it and stop paying attention to everything that was around him. Answers? She was giving him more questions then answers. What he had to find was his father next enchantment. Something that is usually well hidden. And yet, he was questioning why he was doing this. Why was it that he was doing this. Duty toward his family? Beside teaching him how to live, they didn't do much in the social aspect. They were always busy with their respective jobs. He would barely made any friend, seeing has he had to help them. Did they think about how it could affect him when they broke out? No, they didn't. They weir selfish it seems. So why, after these years, was he still chasing is father for? The old woman had said that light and darkness had burned down anyone who would know about it. So, Koren would end up dying by investigating it? Really, this was to much for him to bear. He was still young and he needed to see other things then the bad aspect of life...somehow, Allea was giving him hope. She was young, and spirited and well mannered. Well, he was here. Why not get to the bottoms of it? "Oh, does she mean my old home here in Coreopsis?" ''I think...if I'm not wrong or not over thinking things, that my father either use to live in your old home or that he somehow knew your parents. But I could be wrong.'' "That's it! That's where we used to live!" Allea suddenly said while pointing at a yellow roofed house. ''Hmm...I wonder. You said this is your old apartment. Does that mean that your parents were changing place frequently? If so, why did they do it? Was it due to their work?'' |

Allea's green eyes sparkled at the sight of the 3 storey building yonder, her heartbeat racing with anticipation as the gabled roof now repainted yellow to match the other houses on this street called out to her, calling up memories of her bounding up those short oh-so-familiar steps that led up to the front door, the proportions of which no longer as imposing as it had once been when Allea was four "Come, Koren!" she said as she ran ahead of the young mage, her excited dash an allegro of dancing steps bounding across the small distance like a stage. Looking back once with elation etched on her face, she gestured the young man to follow quickly. "It's here! This is it! Come quick!" she shouted as she ran towards her past with one hand on the wing-shaped comb in her hair as she felt it coming loose. So overtaken by her first fruitful result to her private quest that the green-haired girl had forgotten all about Koren's question. In reality mixed somewhere in that unbound joy and excitement was a tinge of relief for the rediscovery afforded Allea an excuse not to answer the young man's question. As doubtless as she was of his good intentions, Allea just wasn't sure if she was ready to divulge that much personal detail to someone who, all things considered, was neither family nor the closest confidant. Racing up the stone steps to the front door painted sometime ago in a dark brown, the excited young girl searched for someway to alert the occupants within of her arrival. Finding no doorbells, she knocked nervously on the hardwood panel. "Hello!" she called out as loudly as loudly as she could manage, stepping back from time to time to look for signs in the windows of her call being heard. As the young man joined her, she looked to him still smiling that optimistic smile. "There isn't any reply. Perhaps they couldn't hear me." she reported, assuming that to be the reason for her lack of success in getting the occupants within to answer the door. "I will ask the neighbours whether they know if the people inside are at home. See if you have better luck." she said, thinking Koren's louder manlier voice may be more effective that her own soft girly shouts. Without even stopping for Koren's response, she bounded down the short steps and on to the building adjacent. A middle-aged man answered the door when she knocked. "Excuse me, Sir. My name is Allea and I used to live in the building next to you." she said with a courteous smile, explaining herself before asking the man's assistance. "We, that is my friend Koren and I, are looking for the people who currently resides in the building next door. I wonder if you you know how we can get in touch with them as it appears there's no one around at this moment." she asked politely, hoping the neighbour would have some way of getting in touch with the people within. "I'm sorry, dearie, but that building had been vacant since we first moved in here 4 years ago." came the disappointing reply. "Although having heard strange noises coming out from there from time to time, I wouldn't be surprised they had all moved out. Place is probably haunted!" the man said as his eyes narrowed. "In fact, the missus has been clamouring to move. Them noises are making her edgy. Silly woman thinks whatever is inside might come at us one night in our sleep!" the neighbour said as a guffaw escaped his lips, his eyes looking up nervously at the windows of the building. "I'm afraid there's no way I can be of any help, my dear. Sorry." he said as he locked the door behind him. Allea thanked the man who acknowledged her gratitude with a nod and a sympathetic smile before walking off onto the street before them. Turning to look in the direction of Koren thinking about the bad news she was about to deliver, Allea suddenly found the young man no longer where she had left him. She walked back to the front of her old home, thinking perhaps he had succeeded where she had failed and had gotten someone to answer the door, contrary to what was conveyed to her by the genial neighbour. Noticing the once locked door was now ajar, she walked up the steps to the open door and tentatively poked her head inside. "Hello? Koren...?" she called out to the missing mage. |

Again, he was refused any answer about Allea's parents or her past, except for the faq the she had finally found her home. Koren shrugged, it wasn't like she knew him for a long time. It was to early for that, and beside, now she was happy. Koren couldn't help but feel happy himself. He followed her to her home, sharing her disappointment when she found out that nobody answer her nervous knock on the door. No waiting for any advice on what do next, she decided it would be best if she asked the neighbours who lived next door to this building. Since she obviously knew what she was doing, and didn't require his help, Koren decided to check for himself if the door would open. When his hand made contact with the door handle's, he immediately sensed the familiar magic of his father. A clue was waiting inside the house. He could almost hear it's call. ''Come...come inside here, son. I have the answers you seek. Open the door. Only you can do it, son'' said the voice. Unknown to him, and since the young man lack better judgment or actual knowledge about certain kinds of magic, he had fallen into the thrall of an unnatural force. Almost hypnotize by the voice, he opened the door to the main hall of the apartment. Like he sleepwalker, he made his to the first set of stair. Right now, if he had taken only a slight look at the place, he would have seen that the building was full of dust and spider cobs. The place appear to have been deserted for a long time and an air of humidity and slight decay seems to persist, even after the sudden gust of wind had blown for the first time in a decade. ''Climb the stair.'' spoke the tentative voice. ''Up two floor, here the answer...inside the room.'' And Koren did so. Ignoring the protest of the wooden floor and stairs, who creaked with each of his steps, he climbed and made his way to the third floor, opening the door that leaded to an apartment. He saw that this lead to an hallway, which had one room on the left and another on the right and that quickly give up to a living room. The living room was empty, except for a perfectly well drawn circle on the ground. Runes of various size and form seems to adorn the circle. In the middle of it, was a book. ''See, open the book my son, and you shall have your answers.'' said the voice in Koren's head. Still on the thrall of the power that shall not be named, the young teenager stepped into the circle, walked near the book, crouched and took it in his hand. Offering no determination to resist the urge. He then opened the book, freeing something that shouldn't be free. ''At last. I've been waiting for this long. Your has stupid has your father was, Koren Falgasth. And you can die like him for all I care.'' said an voice from out of this world. Standing before him was a creature from the dept of hell. A four legged, demon like wolf was darting his furious gaze at him. Finally out of the thrall, Koren brain actually acknowledge all the information that it had registered. A minor set back. Has the wolf took a few step toward the young man, Koren summoned his weapon and armour by is side. ''Paragon's Arsenals.'' he said, while flicking his hand. A few seconds, and his twin mace were on his hand and his blue parka was replaced by his steel hauberk. The demon wolf growled menacingly, but surprisingly enough, it was hesitating. ''What are you waiting for, demon. Are you scared of the son who's father imprisoned years ago?'' The young man was ready for the demon's charge. A surprised attacked would be welcomed... |

Allea took the most tentative steps across the threshold and entered the deserted house. Standing amidst the hallway that now appeared smaller than she had remembered, she was transported back to an innocent time untainted by neither knowledge nor judgment. Under the ghostly coating of dust and cobwebs, Allea could still recognise the small entry hall shared by all tenants in the building. She recalled the young unkempt students who had taken residence on the ground floor, music often blaring from behind the doors to their shared accommodation. Then there was the kindly matron who never seemed to be short of gentlemen visitors, often leaving furtively in the middle of the day, avoiding everyone's gaze as they bid adieu to their hostess. Amidst these little snippets of memories that came flooding back, Allea called out to her newly acquainted companion. "Koren? Hello?" she called up with restrained loudness, as if raising her tiny measured calling would wake up old ghosts that lingered between the walls. She ventured further into the empty building, stepping through the dust covered floor, her tiny feet leaving small echoes of her movement past the entry hall and towards the stairs where she finally noticed fresh footprints, shaving away the thick coat of dust leading up the stairs to reveal the tired wood underneath. Concluding them to be left none other than the young man, Allea followed and climbed up the creaky stairs. More memories surged forth as each step on the wooden threads elicited a groan from the aged wood beneath her feet. The yawns and moans of the stairs reminded Allea how she would often asked to be let down from her mother's arms, preferring to clamber up the risers that reached almost up to her knee on her own. Striding up the stairs with big stretches of her tiny short legs like an intrepid mountaineer, she would surmount each step with determination while her mother watched on patiently with a smile. As she reached the top of the stairs, Allea remembered how livelier the second floor had been than all the others for a family of six had occupied one of the apartments here. She recalled the youngest two of the four children who would often run along the narrow hallways, screaming and shouting as they played with each other. Allea was too shy then to join in on their little misadventures of make-belief, preferring to pester her mother to teach her more magic in the privacy of their own apartment above. Her mother would not concede to her back then of course, citing concerns for the neighbours and a need to not draw any attention to themselves as her reasons. Once they had moved and settled down on that small island east of Fiore six months later, Allea's mother no longer had the excuse and relented, finally teaching her the basics of the craft. Allea paused at the landing leading up the top floor, looking up and calling out to Koren before she continued up the steps without suspect. She wondered why the one time knight-in-training had not responded thus far as she followed the continuing trail of Koren's footprints. A rush of adrenaline coursed through her as she neared the top of the stairs, finally close to what had brought her back to Coreopsis in the first place. The DeFaffelles had occupied the front of the third floor, the largish apartment that afforded not only adequate space for a young family of three, but it also allowed the fugitives privacy and a good vantage point to look out for her grandfather's men. Caught by a great rush of unbound nostalgia, Allea missed the opened door of the other apartment further down the common corridor and turned towards her old home. As she approached the threshold beyond which memories of happier times lingered, Allea heard voices coming from the hallway behind her. An inexplicable dread overcame Allea as she felt a subtle shift in the consciousness around her. It was as if the air itself had suddenly aged; becoming older, more decayed and decrepit than it had been before. Allea suddenly heard something guttural and growling emerging from one of the apartments behind her, followed by the unmistakable voice of Koren calling out "Paragon's Arsenals!" Allea stopped before turning around and walked towards where Koren's voice had came from. "Koren? Is that you?" she called out tentatively as she stepped down the hall towards the apartment with the open door. Edited by Allura, Feb 13 2012, 12:45 AM.

What was this demon? He had spoken about Koren's father with such...deadly intent. Like they had a mutual past. Or was it sent to kill his father? Or does he had nothing to do with him. He never mentioned the girl anyway. The beast growl, but wouldn't charge. Strange, with such killing intent, why didn't it already try and attempt at taking Koren's life? What was it waiting for? Perhaps it was waiting for an opportunity to strike...or he was weaken. ''Remember this, Koren, the object that I seal with my enchantment will suffer the consequences of time, when it would be unsealed.'' Suddenly remembering that bit of knowledge was all he needed to fight the wolf. It was timed battle. The wolf was weak for now, but it would eventually regain his strength. "Koren? Is that you?" Koren glance slightly at the entrance, before getting his attention back at the demon. And has he did, he saw the wolf jumping at him, mouth wide open. Pure reflex save Koren's day. Even if he lacked the strength of a soldier, he did have the experience. With a quick motion of his left hand, he slam the ending point of it on the left of the wolf's head. His right hand, synchronized by years of training, quickly smash his mace on the top of the wolf head, giving an end to the wolf charge. Koren quickly step backward, keeping space with his opponent. The wolf shrugged away his injury. ''Not bad human. But your no match for Bibolos, the Spirit of the Book of Neiferis. Hmm, what's that smell? This is familiar indeed. This smell like the one who helped your father sealed me. I hate that magic. I will have that little one for diner.'' So he met father? And what Allea had to do with it? Her magic...does it have something special? Come to think of it, Koren didn't even knew what it did. Would it be able to help me in battle? He'd rather avoid dragging her in this fight if he could help it. His father had seal the thing before, and it was his duty to end it. ''Not if I can help it. Allea, be careful, there's a wolf demon.'' said Koren with anguish in his voice. He didn't want her to get hurt or anything in the like. Their had to be a way to either kill that thing or seal it a way again. ''You should be scared of me, mortal. Even your father was. In the end, he had to involved that little one's family into it...my only target was your father, but they had to get in the way. How I hate them. I shall have my revenge, wither you like it or not. Step aside.'' ''Huh, you wish. Still want a taste of steel? Come over here you walking carpet.'' The wolf growled, then charge Koren again... OCC: Monster Stats: Bibolos: Strength:15 Accuracy:5 Stamina:10 Speed:5 Magic:10 Monster tech: Fire Breath: Due to it's weakened state, the demon's fire breath damage is equal to having sun burns... As she neared the open door that led to impending danger from an ancient threat, Allea detected an odour in the air that was both old and familiar, a smell like an old forgotten fur coat resurrected from its hiding place after a decade of ignorant neglect. The dull thud of weapon meeting flesh ensued, causing Allea to think someone was being attacked. Fearful that it may be Koren who had been ambushed, perhaps by the mystery man he had chased earlier, she quickened her pace and ran up to the open door, only to find the young mage face-to-face with a four-legged manifestation of demonic origin caught in lupine form. Allea let out a gasp at the sight of the unholy thing, her small hands covering her mouth in an attempt to stifle a louder scream. The demonic eyes glared at Koren with ancient hatred, its fangs exposed to reveal its lust and hunger for his life. Sensing her presence, the thing that called itself Bibolos turned towards her, mentioning the smell of her magic with maleficent disgust burning in each syllable, uttering each bitter word in a semi-human growl. The smell of the thing at such close proximity sent a barrage of old obscure memories back to the surface of Allea's consciousness, reminding her suddenly of an unusual incident that occurred during the time she spent in this apartment building. It had been an evening she remembered as out of the ordinary only because bedtime had been unusually early for her on that day. The young family had just returned from a lovely day out by the lakes of Coreopsis when suddenly something that sounded like a wild animal was heard from one of the apartments on their floor. She recalled the strange smell that accompanied the feral sound- a stench of singed fur both noxious and heady wafted through the hallway like an unwelcomed intruder. Allea remembered the unnatural scent that reminded her of rotten eggs clinging to the air with arrogance, proudly announcing its emergence from somewhere down the common hallway. The same scent assaulted her now as she stood before Bibolos, dredging up the image of her mother running down the hall followed by Allea calling after her mother only to be told to go to bed by her father after she was rushed into their apartment. Tucked into bed early that night after a hurried wash, she was awakened in the middle of the night by the tired voice of a neighbour in their front room. Allea recalled the man had a tortured look in his eyes. Gaunt and withdrawn as if he had not had a good night sleep in years, he was thanking her parents as they sat sombrely in the room. The man left hurriedly as soon as the four year old emerged half awake from her slumber asking for a drink of water and that was the last she saw of him. Were they attacked that night? Did mother fight this thing with that man? Allea thought desperately as scenarios after scenarios of various possible answers raced through her mind, the connection between herself and the young mage yet to dawn on her. As Allea frantically searched her memories, urging vague snippets to will themselves into clarity, Koren's urgent warning drew her back into the present. It wasn't until Bibolos's mention of Koren's father did the young girl realise the man that had come into their apartment that night had been none other than Koren's father who was the occupant of this apartment. And on that fateful night, both Koren's father and her mother had battled this demon before their very eyes, and it appeared history was about to repeat itself today. The realisation came in the nick of time for the demon wolf was about to leap at Koren. Instinctively, the green haired mage held out her right hand with her left hand placed under her outstretched elbow. She pointed two fingers at the attacking wolf and shouted out "Leaf Fall!" The tetra element at her control sparkled into life, conjuring up a small curtain of falling leaves, each swirling with ethereal rainbow hues. As they fell onto the wolf in mid-leap, causing its accuracy to be magically reduced, Allea knew the debuff nature of her spells wont last too long and hoped that it would be enough to help both her and Koren put this nightmare from their shared past to rest. --- OOC: Tetra Make- Leaf Fall Edited by Allura, Feb 14 2012, 03:43 PM.

Their was something unpleasant about that wolf. Not just because it was a creature of darkness, but something with a deeper meaning. Koren didn't experience hatred toward the creature. Naturally, every person with a right set of mind would find the creature unsettling. More so, they would sought to end the creature's life. It wasn't pity either, having experience little to none. No, it was sadness. Koren could see sadness in the beast's eye's. And he was right about it. But what he didn't know what was causing the beast to fell...sadness. The failure of it's mission? It would remain a mystery, but has the beast charge was slowed by Allea's magic, Koren didn't ask himself why he or the beast felt a mutual sadness. Has he move forward, Koren crossed his mace together. It was usually used in sword fitting to parry an opponent's sword. But Koren move was use to simply smash the wolf forward, pushing it back into the middle of the circle, forcing it to be sealed again in the very same book it came from. But not before he could utter his final curse. ''Your a traitor, just like your father. If you aren't now then you will surly become one. I may be defeated right now but someday, I will come back to haunt you.'' Koren was surprised and taken aback by the wolf statement. Is father was a traitor? A traitor to what? And why would he turn traitor? He knew close to nobody in this world...Koren attention was on the book now. The wolf had return to the book and it had somehow changed. A bright sigil suddenly appeared then vanished, shattering like a rock thrown at a glass window. The book let out a puff of smoke, before returning to it's normal colour scheme, that of an emerald green. Koren attention went from the book to Allea. ''I'm sorry for dragging you into this. It seems that wolf was meant for my father. I don't know what happen and all that I can guess is that it was sent after his major breakthrough. For after it, father didn't speak much about his work in his letters. And I have yet to see him either. If only I had resist that demon,s thrall, things would have been better for you. Thanks.'' Koren walked and crouched near the book. It appears to be an ancient book, judging from the cover and the old looks it had, but their was something off with the the title...he couldn't read it at all. It had some foreign language on it. A few etched runes it seems. One of them was missing. It seems a sigil could fit into that hole. Had the wolf been the key? No, that sigil was malevolent. So the secret behind is father research was inside that book. Or maybe not. He would had to find the keystone and the right person to translate it. Else, he would have done all of this for nothing. ''Well, at least I know what to do next.'' said Koren with a slight hesitation. ''I need to find somebody who can translate this book...if their is somebody who can do that. But before that, I need a reliable source of income. I need to find a guild that could be interested in an exequip mage.'' Edited by Corben, Feb 20 2012, 12:29 AM.

The demon wolf Bibolos was defeated almost as easily as it had escaped. Allea watched on as Koren forced the creature back into the sealing circle where it once kept the demon sealed within a book laying therein. Caught within the circle's enthrallment, the demon wolf was once again returnt to whence it had come, but not before it defiantly left a final curse directed at the young man, taunting him with mysteries from his past and his future. As soon as it had gone, the air in the apartment once again returned to its smell of dry dust and neglect, the unholy stench that had violated the around them now a thing of the past, gone the same way as Bibolos. The young man turned to Allea, offering a sincere apology for getting her entangled in transgressions from his past, one where the paths of their parents had crossed and it appeared both he and Allea knew as little of as each other. With a nod and her customary smile, the green-haired girl indicated her understanding which required no words and uttered none. As Koren crouched before the ancient tome within which the demon wolf had been imprisoned, he noted its foreign origin and sensed the darkness within. The realisation gave him a newfound resolve to further his status as an Exquip mage and his determination to join a guild. Watching the steely determination displayed by the young man, Allea felt a sense of admiration for Koren and silently willed herself to match his resolution with her own in her search for her parents. "Yes, that would seem the most natural step to take next. I am beginning to see the...*" Allea's agreement was cut short as she felt an arm grabbing her girlie frame from behind. She gasped as the sharp tip of a dagger pressed against her throat with menacing intent, the coldness of the steel causing her to wince. Allea could see the hand that held the offensive weapon was lined with age, the masculine grip indicating its owner as someone who still had the strength to plunge the dagger into her soft young flesh with great ease. As she tried to pry herslf from her mystery attacer's hold, Allea looked up and could see that her assailant was a head taller than her, his face vaguely familiar. "Spawn of Falgasth!" the man gnawed the name with disgust, his hatred emitting from his dry mouth through gritted teeth. "Hand over the book if you do not wish to see your little friend here get hurt." he threatened menacingly, the end of the dagger digging ever harder against Allea’s throat as he made his intention clear. "Koren, no!" Allea implored her companion as she struggled in the man's arm, hoping against hope that the young mage before her would not give in to the demand without a fight. |

Their was something wrong here. The demon wolf was too easy. Even if it had been sealed for a decade, it wasn't normal for such a demon. It was sent to kill his dad after all. Well, that's the only theory Koren could came up with. If the beast was that strong, why didn't it attack by them? Did it had something to do with the magic circle? In any case, he was glad that even if unwillingly dragged Allea in his problem, she was still willing to help him. His attention went again on the book. What secret did it hold? Dreadful it seems, since it acted as a mean to seal a demon inside it. He needed to find someone who could exorcise the book...and another specialist in ancient language. Suddenly and without warning, a person came out of a shadow, a before Allea or Koren could do anything about it, it quickly size the young girl by the waist while a knife was pressed against the poor and innocent young teenager. Koren quickly realized that the shadow before was quite familiar. It was the old man from before. The one he had failed to catch due to some poor timing and a chance meeting with fate. Or whatever is pulling the threads of destiny. ''Spawn of Falgasth? Wait, let's just calm down, shall we. I'm sure we can come to an understanding. Look, if you really want the book, I'm willing to give it to you. Just don't hurt the girl. If you do, I'm going to make sure to open the book. Believe me, you don't want me to open it. What's in it could possibly...you just don't want me to open it. Now, I will slowly walk toward you and I'll drop the book on your feet.'' The oldman tensed up, has Koren slowly walked toward him. And Koren did exactly like he said, for he was a man of word. He knew that if he didn't do like the old man just said, that it would be over for Allea and he would have her death in his conscience for the rest of his life. He was not permitted to fail. Not this time. Not while they had their life before them. He slowly walk near the man, but has he crouched to drop the book, he decided to add one final sentence. ''You know, I always wonder what it feel like to be walked upon on the feet by a giant's toes.'' Sort of random, but that was a minor distraction, has Koren suddenly lunged at the old man with the book, aiming for his face, hoping that Allea may kick the man's foot with her toe... |

Being held hostage was an imposition Allea had never enjoyed. Granted it rarely happened, this affront to her physical safety had nevertheless made her angry. When the young Exquip mage conceded to her captor's demand, her frustrations became even more palpable, directed more at herself than anyone else. Allea had often hated the fact that her unskilled magic made her more a hindrance than a help to those around her. The helplessness that had been the source of her many internal turmoil once again came boiling to the surface of her psyche, the guilt festering in her ever since that fateful day when her parents were lost at sea now rearing its ugly head again like a taunting wraith. Allea had often blamed herself for being unable to change the tragic outcome of that day when life took a tragic turn. If only I was as strong as mother was. was the one chastisement that repeatedly tortured her young mind since. As the admonishment returned once again to haunt her psyche, the young mage felt a new resolve rising like a giant column of iron will, lifting her determination to advance her magic to the fore. This is the last time I will ever let anyone down! she swore as anger and frustration crystallised the promise into an indomitable will. Koren's threat to release the book's content seemed to have an effect on her assailant as his grip around her grew tighter, the increased pressure of the knife's edge on her throat led her to stop wriggling. As she remained still in the old man's arm, fully aware any sudden movement on her part would not end well, Allea decided it was time for her to prepare a magical attack. Knowing full well the only available techniques left to her disposal would not cause the man much grief and fully aware that she was physically unable to extricate herself from the man's grasp without risking cutting herself, distraction was the only option left open to her. As she considered the limited options available, Koren approached ever closer and said something that baffled the young girl. ''You know, I always wonder what it feels like to be walked upon on the feet by a giant's toes.'' The random mention of a giant's foot was most confusing at first until Allea realised the young man was actually talking to her. Their eyes met for the briefest of moment and that was enough for Allea to understand what the young man had in mind. With the unspoken understanding in mind, Allea nodded before incanting softly under her breath, invoking the one technique that she hoped against hope would extricate her throat from the sharp edge of the dagger now pressed ever menacingly closer. As the word Swarm came softly out from her lips, the tetra element at her disposal once again came into life and formed a score of multi-hued insects. The ethereal insects fluttered aimlessly at first, their gossamer wings beating with a mock life powered by their mistress's will. A few eventually managed to head for the old man's dagger-wielding hand and did the bidding of their maker, stinging the threat with mite-like bites. The distraction from the magical attack was all Allea needed as it caused the man to instinctively move the blade away from her. The moment of reprieve was enough for the young mage to proceed without fear of her throat being cut as she pushed the weapon wielding hand away with both hands and stomped on the man's foot simultaneously with all the strength she could muster, eliciting a loud groan from her captor. A swift elbow to the old man's gut followed her opening maneuvres, the combined actions causing the old man to loosen his grip around her waist, allowing Allea finally to pull free. She crouched low as she moved away from the desperate swings of the old man, putting safe distance between her person and the dagger. As she moved to safety, Allea was confident that the Exquip mage would follow suit with an attack that would ensure their attacker was no longer a threat to them both. |
