Etherion will be mine!!!

It seemed the every one else joined the fray. Magic was been sent towards the giant rose tower and in mere moments it was wiped from the face of the mindscape. It was a surreal and strange experience as he watched people summon and transform into all manner of things, but Mervix seemed glad. He grabbed all the pieces he needed for the masked ball and so they hurried to their destination. Once Mervix had given the man the three pieces, he combined them together and created the masks. His task was done and rain seemed to have fallen down on top of him and it started to dissolve him. Shadiic was surprised to even see that this was happening. Even though that this was the mindscape, it was all too surreal and strange. They followed Mervix who noticed the mansion. The place that had the ball. Shadiic thought it was a magnificent place, full of richness and the like. It reminded him of the mansion that he had met Mervix in the first place, but it was kept in order and had a different touch. Shadiic heard Mervix cry out as he saw the mansion. He could not hear what he had said over the rain as it kept pouring down. Shadiic thought maybe it got even stronger and heavier. So he propped his arms above his head to shield his face from the rain so he could see where he was meant to go. He followed Mervix up the cobblestone pavement towards the house. |

Get Chance and Luck!!

The pain surged through his sore body, He didn't know if he wa bleeding of not, but it didn't matter since Mervix was safe. So far, Tsu had felt helpless in all the combats, and so it was time to change that. If he couldn't attack, he then could only defend and for that he would use his own body as shield, it may seem reckless, but at lest he felt better about himself. Tsu felt like he was going to give way to the pain, but he Flt merv support him and lay him down onto the ground. "I... am going to prune that rose for you." Tsu hread him say before he passed out from the pain. Tsu woke in Coreopsis, right in the place where he fell asleep before hand. The pain was gone on his back and he felt chipper. "What was that..." He seemed to confused from the whole endevour, was it all a dream? Was the dreamscape all a lie? And what of the others, were they all a shard of his imagination? Just random beings that his sub-conscious made up? Who really knew the answer to this, but, he thought that it was time to investigate. He got up, but then a spike of pain hit his back, "Must be stiff from the tree." And so he headed towards the town. Tsu wondered through the empty streets, it was an uneasy feeling since it was still day time, it seemed that it was abandoned. Then random faceless people started to show, walking towards him. The pain on his back grew more and more and he collapesed to the ground. "Lean on me. We are going to get there together." said a voice, this voice seemed familliar to him, his vision goe's blurry and then he finally becomes unconscious. Tsu opens his eye's, the sound of a river near by flows through his mind. "We have it! We have all the items!" shouted a voice in his ear, Tsu looks up to see all of his companions are safe and un-harmed and goes to stand for himself, as if nothing had happened. "We have what you asked for. We give you these in exchange for the mask... to the Midnight Ball." Mervix added to his last statement, while he handed the Boatman the items. The man took the shadow-silk and smoothed out its edges. Then he took the jeweled egg and broke its golden yolk over the silk. Finally he placed the rose in the middle of the yolk and the shadow silk bundled itself over the items, quivering and turning into a shade of midnight blue. With a crack, the silk hardened and turned into a porcelain half mask, enough to shield the eyes and the nose from description. He did the same with the items of the other three. The man bowed as a drop of rain hit his square on the head. First one and then another and like a painted portrait splashed with turpentine, the man began to melt away. Mervix looked around them as several more drops of rain hit the shops and the pavement. Like the man, these too began to lose both color and shape as they liquefied, forming an amalgamation of colors that pooled on the ground. "The houses! Let's go!" Mervix shouted, ushering everyone forward. Running up the slope that hosted the houses of the Resident District. Mervix hurried to a house but the door would not open. He tried another further up but that door would not budge as well. Looking back, he watched as the rain had come up to the river. He looked around for something, anything that would give them shelter from the rain. "Wait! The Midnight Ball! It has to be on top of the hill. Only the richest houses are built right at the top! It has to be there! It has to be..." Tsu relied on Mervs sence of leadership, but then up ahead, he saw him collapes to the ground. "NO! NO... ! No... no... I'll never... never go back... never... not until... never..." What was he doing, this was not a god time for this at all. Tsu goe's to pick up Merv and he was prepared to carry him the rest of the way, despite his condition. "Listen to me, we all have a past that should be left forgotten. But there are time to turn and face them. And for you, this is your time to face these demon's of the past." He told him, hopeing that the message had gotten to him. "And remember, where all in this together. so when one fall's the others will pick you up. This is why we are here." Tsu turns to the others, "DID YOU TWO HERE THAT! BECAUSE THAT WAS ALSO DIRECTED YOU GUYS AS WELL! NOW, LETS MOVE ON!" Tsu then laughed out loud, That as one hell of a moment, he thought to himself. Edited by Giggles-mesh, Feb 21 2012, 12:58 AM.

Caught in the frenzy of battle, Ullara had forgotten about the pain eating through her arm as the single blood bloom dug its hold ever deeper into her flesh. It was not until the Rose Tower finally collapsed from their combined effort that she remembered the pain. But as soon as she was conscious of it, the pain had ebbed away into nothingness as the bud reverted into a harmless rose, its petal now turning a shade darker. At Mervix's urging, she caught the falling bloom and tucked it in her hair before following the green-haired mage towards the river bank, their pace now more urgent as ever as the sound of thunder clapping grew more fervent, the thick air around them pregnant with impending squall. Arriving by the edge of the river, the faceless boatman lowered his sign and approached the quartet like a faceless automaton, seemingly understanding what had been brought to him by the quartet. As each laid their collection of artefacts before them, the silent thing in garish clothes transformed their items into a mask. Ullara looked at the mask with approval, admiring the pale green leaf pattern painted delicately on one side of its front. The sight of the boatman and the shops and pavement melting away under the wash of an unnatural rain brought back a sense of urgency to the huntress and even without the need for Mervix's ushering, she knew they had to get away from the rain as fast as they could. Following the lead of the mage, Ullara ran with the rest up the hill as instructed. As they ran up the steep pavement leading to a mansion with an arched entrance under an impressive stained glass front, Ullara decided there was no longer any need for the aid of the Goddess's Knight and magically willed the peony wing on her back to recede, returning her left shoulder blade once more to its unadorned state without the Peony Knight's wondrous wing sprouting from it. She looked back down the path behind her to see how the others were doing only to find Mervix collapsed and laid down on his back, his strength sapped and his will to go further now all but gone. She ran back down just as Tsubasa went to pick Mervix up, clearly determined not to let the man he had come to see as the leader of their ragtag collection of unlikely allies be left behind. Smiling with a fullness rising in her heart at this scene of camaraderie, Ullara offered her shoulder and helped Tsubasa carry Mervix up the rest of the way. "Yes, we hear you." She said to the mage with a penchant for monochromatic attire with feigned resignation. "Even the Goddess can hear you." she finished the sentence without giving away so much as a smile. "And you," Ulllara said, now turning her attention to Mervix. "are not getting out of buying that round of drinks so easily." she reminded Mervix of the promise with a serious tone in her voice as she placed the tired mage's other arm over her shoulder, helping Tsubasa to carry Mervix up the path towards the unknown. |

Mervix barely felt it as Tsubasa held him up, the other man's muscles bulging through his pinstriped suit. What came through however was the man's words. "Listen to me, we all have a past that should be left forgotten. But there are time to turn and face them. And for you, this is your time to face these demon's of the past. And remember, where all in this together. so when one fall's the others will pick you up. This is why we are here." Mervix's heart lurched within his chest. Demons...you have no idea... Tsu turned to the others, "DID YOU TWO HEAR THAT! BECAUSE THAT WAS ALSO DIRECTED AT YOU GUYS AS WELL! NOW, LETS MOVE ON!" Tsu then laughed out loud. Mervix was about to back away from Tsubasa, anything to get from the mansion that loomed over them, when he felt Ullara behind him, a strong hand that stopped him from retreating. "And you..." Ulllara said, "...are not getting out of buying that round of drinks so easily." Mervix smiled a little at that. "If only..." He began before he felt a drop on his shoulder and his shoulder began to drip to the ground, pooling at his feet like black sludge. He turned back and saw the rain just a feet away. "It's too late..." The rain slammed into the group and their world became a whirlpool of colors, stripping them of their individuality, their physical forms and drowning them in a deluge of colors, sounds, sights that made no one sense. Their psyche was stretched across an endless expense of thoughts and dreams, melded and separated until there was no end or beginning to who they were. "You fools! Come in! Hurry!" There was a tug, to somewhere familiar and then... Emptiness. |
