Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

IC:
Mervix tossed in his bed for a while, staring at the white ceiling of his newly rented apartment. It hadn't been easy finding a place to stay in Coreopsis but apparently, the Tartaros guild tattoo carried a lot of weight. Enough weight to scare his landlord into lowering his rent rather dramatically. It would have almost been free but Mervix knew that sooner or later, that would cost him. The mage grinned to himself, placing his hands behind his head. Life was good and strangely unexpected. A little too unexpected actually. But then again, that's what you would get when you live in a world where magic is as common as the neighbor's cat.

Mervix yawned and reached for the journal on his table to his left, flipping through the pages of the black leather-bound book. So many things done and yet so many more thing to do. To see. Mervix placed his journal back onto his table, yawning as he did so. I wonder what father would have thought if he could see me now. I bet he wouldn't be able to recognize me now. Heck. Even I wouldn't be able to recognize me now.

Yawning again, Mervix threw himself onto his bed, bouncing several times just for the fun of it. He closed his eyes, listening to the soft swishing waters of the City of Romance. I finally have a place I can call home. Until I return home that is.

"Home?" Said a male voice, ringing in the halls of his subconscious. "Well well well...I guess it's finally time."

"Pax? Is that you?" Mervix struggled to open his eyes but the weight of sleep took him and he felt himself falling from a great height, wind rushing all around him, the inky blackness about him revealing no clue as to where he was going. "What...the...hell...is...happening!?"

"I'm sorry, Mervy. But you need to do this without me. It's for your own good."
A voice whispered into Mervix's ear.

"Pax! What the hell is happening!?" There was no reply. Mervix reached out with his hands for something, anything to take a hold of "Pax, you god-forsaken...!"

A surge of water filled Mervix's mouth and entered his nose, choking him as he plunged through water, his body absorbing the heavy impact. The darkness around him brightened and with all the strength he could muster, he swam towards the flickering light above him, his breath burning in his lungs. Before long, he burst from the surface of the water, heaving in deep breaths. He blinked against the sunlight that beat down on him but instead of the usual sunny heat, he felt rays of chilling light pour down on him.

It took a moment later before he tasted salt in his mouth. Am I bleeding? Mervix looked around and saw a flight of stairs leading into the water nearby. I'd better get out of this water and He swam towards it and flung himself onto the stairs, grateful to be able to take a breather. Then he heard a violin from somewhere, a lone violin playing several notes over and over again and the sound of a piano playing slow chords along with it, occasionally releasing a flurry of notes where the violin grew quiet.

Tasting salt in his mouth again, he spat, peering over the stairs and at the water's surface. What stared back at him was a little boy with two green eyes and dark brown, almost black hair. His heart leapt in his chest, throwing himself back against the wall, as far back from the water as he could.

Gods! This has to be a dream. I can't be...it can't be... Mervix looked around desperately, his eyes trying to deny what his heart already knew to be true. Expansive houses built upon a hill. Blue mountains in a distance. The fresh smell of pine in the air. And the music...! Mervix's eyes widened as he recognized the violin's tune. My first recital piece. The one I played when I was 7. When...he...he... Mervix slammed his fists against the stair's stone surface. This has to be a dream. It just has to be. It has to be!

Mervix looked up and cursed the blue-ringed eclipsed sun in the sky. "PAX! Get! Me! Out of here! Get me out of Shirotsume Town!"

Shadiic entered Coreopsis, the city that had a history of influence and power. He really had no purpose to visit the city except for exploring. He was fine with everything that had happened in the last few months and was waiting for Ardos to come back with a report on his research. Things were looking up for Shadiic as maybe, just maybe there would be something that he would be able to do concerning his problem. Looking back he had met a variety of people on his journey and had wondered how all of them were. Were they doing alright or not? Shadiic couldn't tell as he was always travelling and the chances of meeting someone again might be slim to none. Still it was always good for him to explore the world and learn what it is about. He might eventually find his mother's family as he still couldn't remember where they lived, they were well off and powerful. Somethings along the lines of being high in politics and social standing which is a wonder why they let his mother marry a farmer.

When his aunt visited them when Novus was having some trouble with his magic powers, she seemed relaxed as she and his mother would spend time catching up and gossiping for hours. It was good for her to see someone from her past as she had to build a new life when they moved to the farm. Still moving back from his memories and into the present, Coreopsis wasn't any different from any city that he had found. It was all the same, but their were slight differences in the culture. It was nothing new that he was expecting. He decided to stay at a lavish in as he manage to pawn off a few things he took from the random house he found in the wild. He got about 600,000 Jewels from that endeavour and felt that he should live life a bit more comfortable. Once he checked in, Shadiic went up the stairs and decided to rest in the room.

Coreopsis, one of the places where Tsu dosn't will welcome. High society living was never his style, all the rich fanatics living it real and spending Jewels on the things that are merely possesions to show how posh they are to the lower class people of society, it really sickens him. But the reason why he was here in the first place, because he was summoned by a person who once helped in Lavender Forest, and it was time to repay his debt to them. All the buildings where a clutter, the streets filled with those who could afford to buy high quality products. He was meeting his old aquantence in a park. He was here earlier than expected to be, so he wanderd the streets looking at all the stores and street venders. He strated to feel queezy being around all the busy streets and enclosed spaces, so he thought that he would a nice change of pace to sit in a nice secluded place, so he wandered to the the meeting place.

He wanders through the park, he was told that they were to meet under a big oak tree by the pond. He see's the pond in the distance, the contact hasn't arrived yet, so he sit's under the tree. He reaches into his pocket and pulls a choclate bar he bought while wandering around the town, it was the only thing he coold afford at the moment. He eats and then falls in to a sleepy trance. "Wake up." Says a voice, "Wake up now, you are needed." Tsu opens his eyes, it's dark, Damn, did I over sleep again? He thought to himself, "No, you only just feel asleep" The voice replied. Tsu snaps in to a confusing state. "What? You are able to read my thoughts?" Nothing but silence fills the air, Now things had gotten interesting. Tsu though to himself.

Mervix heard light footsteps behind him and he cringed, trying to hide himself by pressing himself against the wall behind him. Mervix sighed. I can’t let anyone see me. Even…if this is a dream… Damn that Pax. Just wait till I get my hands on him. I’ll wring his imaginary neck so hard…

Mervix heard more footsteps again and saw a shadow fall over him. Gulping, Mervix braced himself, his hand searching around for his familiar staff. He closed his right fist and felt...nothing. Mervix leaned back, closing his eyes in frustration. Of course it's not here. This is a dream. Why would your staff be here?

Mervix stood up slowly, watching as more and more shadows were cast over him. Short shadows. Children?, Mervix frowned. Oh well…I guess things can’t get worst than this. Mervix flung himself around with the biggest grin possible streaked across his face. “Hi little children! I'm Mervix! Nice to meet-”

His voice echoed for a moment, rebounding across the walls of Shirotsume’s seemingly empty buildings. He stared for a moment, before he realized that he was staring at nothing. He looked at his feet and the shadows were no longer there as well. Mervix put his hands on his hips and pouted.

"-you..." Mervix said. Shrugging, he walked up the steps. "Weird..."

He looked around at the white stone which was the pride of this portion of Shirotsume, polished till some said it could reflect the sun. The Market District, the only part of town that was on a flat piece of ground, surrounding the base and the entrance of the wealthy town. This place was usually filled with people of all types; children holding their newest toys or the largest sweets, ladies sporting the latest designs in fashion, sheltered beneath the laced umbrella's of their servants, traders of all sorts of shiny baubles and attractive accessories trying their best to attract the eyes of a willing pocket.

Here, there were only empty carts and faded signs of old paint and colors that seem to have long been abandoned. Discarded baubles of all sorts littered the ground, chipped pieces of gold paint scattered across the ground like dull yellow snow. As Mervix walked down the road, his footsteps echoing on the cobblestone, Mervix's seven-year old reflection walked beside him, trailing him in every shop window. Resisting a shudder, Mervix moved closer to his reflection, poking a finger at the little boy’s face. Mervix tilted his head to one side and so did the reflection. Grinning, Mervix started flexing, watching as the reflection did the same. “That’s one thing you can’t imitate, little boy. These babies are packing on muscle you won’t see for quite a while.”

Mervix heard more footsteps and this time several voices; ladies laughing and talking in hushed voices. Mervix looked around but again he saw no one nor any movement to indicate anything making those sounds.

"Mervy, this world is waking up soon and I won't be able to interfere. So I'm sending you some help."

Mervix turned and watched as his reflection reached out and touched the surface of the mirror. The mirror rippled like the surface of the water. "What are you doing, Pax?"

OOC:
Shad, Tsu, you can pop out of the mirror now ^^ You're free to add how the entrance to the Mindscape looks like to you and personalize it before entering my portion of the Dreamscape. Pax (Image of a 7 year old Mervix) will invite you and lead you into mine.

The Mindscape would be someplace personal to you.

Shadiic was dreaming and he dreamt of home. It was the farm and he was with his family. His mother, father and brother were in the house and they were having a meal together. It was like the old days where they would chat and talk about everything that they did that day. His mother would be getting the boys another serving of food as they were growing boys as she would put it. Except for his father as his mother would pat him on the stomach and laugh for a bit. Shadiic then for some reason felt the urge to walk to the door and looked outside. He saw a strange person at the roadside looking at the house and Shadiic decides to walk out and meet the person. As he got closer and closer, the person had a crazed grin on their face and started to laugh. The whole area went red and he turned around. Shadiic could see demons swooping into his house which was on fire. He could hear his family scream in pain and fear and he tried to run back to help him. He found that he couldn't move and he begged them to not die. Shadiic then started to try and do anything to get to the house. He screamed and yelled his body to move, but in front of him, his entire home was burnt up.

He them fell into a heap on the ground and cried as his entire family was killed in front of his eyes. He wanted to stop this, this is why he ran away from home. He didn't want his family to die. He then fell into a spiral of despair as all he could think about was that he begged none of this to happen and it was all his fault. Then something interrupted him. It was a voice, a voice he wasn't familiar with and realised that there was somebody else there. He looked up and saw a young boy who was standing in the midst of the chaos. Everything else seemed to continue on ignoring the two of them when the young boy spoke. I need your help. A friend needs your help. Take my hand and quickly now Shadiic didn't know what was going on, but he reached out and grabbed the boys hand and felt that he was getting whisked away to another place. He opened his eyes and the entire area seemed so foreign to him. It was completely alien to where he was before.

Tsu walk's through the darkness, expecting some thing to happen, he was getting bored, waiting for some thing to happen. But then a bright light orb appears in front of him, "Come with me, I shall guide you though the darkness. Come. Follow." The orb moves forward, but Tsu does't move an inch, "Take me where, exactly, and while your at it, tell where am I?" "You are in a dream, my friend, but do not worry. You will be safe with me, and as to where I'll be leading you, I shall be taking you where you are needed right now. They're is some one needing your help right now, now come with me and I shall reavel what is happening." Tsu couldn't argue with it, if there's some one who needs help, he can't resist but to help them. And as well as this being a dream, well, it wa cerainlly hard to believe. But he was never one to believe that nothing is impossible. But why would I dream of darkness, he thought to himself. Simple, it's the only thing that you know, despite that you have the heart of pure Light and Darkness yourself. How did he know about my heart, of the light and drakness that reats inside me. These thoughts ran through his head like a train. "What do you mean about me dreaming of darkness?" "Again simple my dear friend, your history was a dark one, it clouds your memory with darkness, and of your murderous wench of a mother. I do apologize for the crude remark, but she did kill both your fathers who cared for you. We are nearly there, hurry, you are needed." Tsu again couldn't argue with it. It seemed to know so much aboout him even bout the things that he had clue about. "Do tell me, how do you know so much about me?" The orb of light doesn't reply, so Tsu thought that maybe it wasn't a good question. "We're here." It says, stopping in front of a giant door way. Here is where you must continue without me. On the othersied is world like no other and that is all i can say. Good luck my friend, we shall cross paths once again. The door opens, and a brigt white light shines from beyond. "Tell me, before we depart, who are you?" "I am your guide through this darkness, that is all I will say for now. Now go, you are very well needed on the other side." Tsu walks through the door, he turns and the light orb had disapeared. And so he enters though the door way.

On the other side, he finds him self in a town, he turns to see the door, but it's now disapered. Well, I guess theres no turning back now. He says to himself. He starts to walk, trying to figure out where he is, all the people are staring at him, watching him as if he were a stranger. He didn't feel like he belonged here, like he felt like in Coreopsis. He stoped to ask what town it is, but no one had answered him. There were stalls and markets every where, so he could only assume the he was in some form of market district. He comes across a disstinctive male in the street, he had the feeling that this young male didn't belong here. So he had to ask "Excuse sir, would you so happen to tell me where I am? I seemed to have gotten lost and can't figure out what this town is."

When Ullara first heard about the floating city of Coreopsis, she immediately thought of an impossible thing floating in the heavens above. For a girl who grew up in the wide expanse of Sanzibar Desert where the skies were never impeded, the idea came both as a marvellous challenge and a threatening anathema to her understandings of the world around her. The mere suggestion of a city floating in the skies was in itself enough a thought to cause a rising sense of mild panic in Ullara. Thus it was with great anxiety and excitement that she decided to make Coreopsis her first port of call when she left her nomadic tribe in the desert, embarking on a journey to fulfill her legacy as the Greens Keeper of Gaea.

It was with mixed feelings that Ullara arrived at Coreopsis when she realised the floating city was actually built on a series of large boats lingering atop the waters of the lakes around it and not up high in the skies as was mistakingly thought prior to her arrival. Upon this realisation, Ullara finally understood the puzzled looks and giggles she had received each time she asked other travellers about the floating city. Seeing Coreopsis in all its glory powered by the very magic of the lakes it rested on, Ullara was more surprised by her own disappointment than anything else. Were she to be completely honest with herself, Ullara would admit she had secretly wanted to be marvelled beyond words. She did however acknowledge the relief she felt as the reality was something her cloistered mind could comprehend and its relative normality did not pose a threat to her limited understanding of the world beyond the boundaries of her nomadic life. Seeing the floating city (on lakes) before her, Ullara decided it was beauteous enough to entice her in and deemed it warranted at least one night's stay.

Crossing one of the many bridges that led into the city, Ullara's first thought was on the incomprehensible waste of water surrounding it. All this water, and they use it to float a city when it can sustain 100 more? she thought disapprovingly, knowing how precious water was to the existence of her tribes and why each oasis they found were savoured and never plundered. Still, despite her inability to fathom the reasons the architects of Coreopsis had for choosing to build Coreopsis on the lakes, Ullara was nevertheless impressed by the engineering marvel that made the city possible. The only boats in the desert she had known had four legs and humps and they never smelled as good as the evening air of this strangely enchanting place and for that alone Ullara was keen to let this foolish business of building on water go without much disdain.

Keeping her initial explorations to the outer edges of Coreopsis where she could be close to the waters at all times, Ullara observed how the jewelled like reflections of the city on the waters below it reflected back like aquatic fireflies, almost as if they were competing for her attention. She strolled through the streets languidly, immersing herself in its beauty and savoured every strangeness it offered. Walking past numerous lovers who were out enjoying the night sky hand in hand, she found herself slowly enamoured to the place despite the criminal waste of Mother Nature's most precious commodity. Finally deciding that it had been a better thing that this was a city floating on water rather than one that floated in the air, Ullara sat herself down on a secluded bench by the banks, placing her staff next to her and stared out into the lake beyond.

As she looked on at the strange fishes swimming in the water before her, an unexpected pang of homesickness struck Ullara and she found herself suddenly missing life on the arid planes of Sanzibar Desert. Thinking there was the best place on Earth Land to live despite the severe challenges that life amongst the sandy dunes brought, she recalled the words of one of her uncles. I guess Yehenara was right. You have to run far to see the beauty you left behind. Ullara mused as she found herself finally agreeing with the old warhorse for the first time in her life. As her mind wandered back to the laughters and singing in the tents around lit fires, Ullara began to feel tired and closed her eyes, humming an ancient desert song about mother and child as she leaned back against the bench. Resting her head on the slightly damp wooden backrest, she slowly drifted into sleep before the voice of a child calling out to her awakened the Greens Keeper from her slumber.

It wasn't the fact that a child had known her name that surprised Ullara when she opened her eyes but rather where she suddenly found herself in. The waters of the lake rippling gently in the cool evening air had given way to the clear ponds of the oasis. The desert plants swaying gently in the breeze were what convinced her she knew where she was. She recognised the oasis before her was no ordinary respite from the sands and remembered it well. Twice before since she was ordained as a Greens Keeper by her mother and aunts, Ullara had visited the arena of the Green Goddess, the place a warrior Greens Keeper like herself had to come to having been granted passage by the Goddess in order to face Gaea's generals in combat. She was in no doubt that the landscape before her was indeed the very same place but as Ullara had not initiated the ritual, this unintentional trespass upon Gaea's arena alarmed her. Her immediate response was to call out to th Goddess, begging the Great Mother to forgive her for this most impossible intrusion. But instead of the appearance of some magical being here to cast her back into the human plane, Ullara found instead a wee male child.

"A child? Have I offended the Goddess that much that she had sent a sapling to cast me out?" she said as she tried to fathom how all this had come to pass. "Come. This way." the child beckoned. "You are needed." he said with an urgency Ullara found to be most unnerving yet compelling. Thinking she had not incurred the wrath of the Green Goddess after all but had indeed been summoned to come to her aid in an hour of divine need, Ullara decided to follow without question and bounded off into the desert night behind the boy.

No sooner than the last word leaving his mouth, 3 strange people stepped out of the rippling store mirror. The first was one Mervix could never forget with his blue eyes, spiked short brown hair and ear piercing albeit confused look on his face. The last time they had met they were...

Mervix's ears reddened as he studied the other two strangers. The first was a tall, imposing looking woman with deep ember eyes and some strange looking dark green hair. A trellis of tattoos ran up her left arm. As for the second, he was...pale, just slightly taller than the lady but was covered head to toe with a mismatch of black and white. It was the latter that spoke first.

"Excuse sir, would you so happen to tell me where I am? I seemed to have gotten lost and can't figure out what this town is."

Mervix a little lost for words sputtered out something that resembled, "Tell me about it..."

Pax appeared in the window above, dusting his hands and grinning. "You're all set, Mervy. Now remember-"

Mervix walked backwards to get a better look at his soon-to-be victim, his eyes looking around for something to throw. "Pax! It's not funny that you drag a look a like of Shad here but who are these other weird people?" Mervix shouted, pointing at the other two besides Shadiic.

"They're as real as you are, Mervy. At this very moment, the four of your are sleeping, trapped here in the Mindscape with which I have escorted you to. Well...Mervy's portion of the Mindsc-

Mervix eyed a nearby stone. Leaping for it, he whirled and threw it at the window. The window shattered into fragments, fragments that froze in the air, glinting in the dull blue light of this town's black sun. "What the hell are they here for!? I never asked for any of this!"

"They're here because they will help you, Mervy, They must." Pax peeked out from the corner of another shop's display window. "The 3 tasks ahead of you will require all the help you can get.

Mervix hefted another stone but Pax held out his hands. "Mervy! Just think about it. Should any of you die here, your bodies will also die in the real world. Don't you think you have more reason than before to work together?" Pax sighed, yawning, his image in the mirror blurring slightly. "My time to aid you is ending. Are there any questions?"

Shadiic was transported to a new area. It was foreign to him as he had no idea where he was or what was happening. One moment he was living his worst nightmare, watching his entire life burn and diappear in front of him. He felt so helpless unable to stop it, but with the sudden appearance of the boy and the whisking away, he felt that he couldn't keep up with the pace of things.

Looking around to get his head in line, he noticed that there were three other people with him. One that he met just recently, Mervix and two others he had no clue who they were. It seemed that all three of them were as confused as he was and were grasping straws to understand the situation. One of them, an intimidating man and a young woman accompanied Mervix in this strange place and the man asked Mervix quite polietly that it seems as he had gotten lost and would like to know where he was. He wasn't sure what the woman was thinking as she hadn't said anything, instead she looked like she was trying to figure out the situation.

Mervix was talking with the boy who seemed to have gathered everyone here and had noticed that his name was Pax. Mervix was angry that the boy did that, but it was intersting to hear the reason. Apparently they had to complete three tasks and not die hear as if we did, we would die in the real world. He thinks. He wasn't quite sure considering he wasn't fully aware of where he was. He thought that they were dreaming, but Pax called it the Mindscape. Are those two the same thing? Shadiic thought to himself.

Pax asked if there was any questions and Shadiic had one.

Is Mervix in danger?

Tsu stands there, as he now is surrounded by a small group of people that he had no clue who they were. He natually assumed that they all some how knew each other for previous endevours. The male who he asked wherehe was just mumbled something that he couldn't hear properly, he was a strapping young man, tall and had nice short dark green hair. He seemed very confused on what was happening right now. Next to him was a young adult who seemed to be confident, but was still confused, as Tsu natually assmed. And lastly was a slender female, who seemed to be trying to figure out the situation. But everyone seemed as confused as each other.

The only clues Tsu had to go by was that this is possibly a dream, but was it his? Or one of theirs? He was told back there that he had to help someone, but who? It had to be one of these three, concidering that they were the only ones who most probly arived the same way as he did, through there dreams. Things have seemed to be getting interesting at this point. "You're all set, Mervy. Now remember-" That voice, it seems so familiar. Tsu thought. "Pax! It's not funny that you drag a look a like of Shad here but who are these other weird people?" Screamed the green haired male, That must be the one who I must help. "They're as real as you are, Mervy. At this very moment, the four of your are sleeping, trapped here in the Mindscape with which I have escorted you to. Well...Mervy's portion of the Mindsc-" The one called "Merv" had thrown a stone at the face, the one he called "Pax". Mindscape? What is this mindscape? "What the hell are they here for!? I never asked for any of this!" "They're here because they will help you, Mervy, They must." the one called "Pax" peeked out from the corner of another shop's display window. "The 3 tasks ahead of you will require all the help you can get." Mervix had thrown another stone but Pax held out his hands. "Mervy! Just think about it. Should any of you die here, your bodies will also die in the real world. Don't you think you have more reason than before to work together?" Pax sighed, yawning, his image in the mirror blurring slightly. "My time to aid you is ending. Are there any questions?"

"Is Mervix in danger?" Asked the the other male, this was a good question, concidering that this could spell death to everyone here. "Also, if we were here to help, why was it that you chose us three to assist, what meaning do we have for this?" This question had bothered him since the start, so it had to be asked.
