There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Name: Alex Smith Nickname: Hellion Drifter Age: 22 Gender: Male Height: 1,86 m Weight: 79 kg Guild: None... yet Class: D Affiliation: Neutral
Physical Description: Alex is a tall, dark-haired man, with eyes that are a bit different from those of a normal human. Though his eyes follow the standard human eye pattern of sclera-iris-pupil. His pupils are strangely small, but he can see just as well as anyone else, though for some reason they aren't black, they seem alight with a hidden gray-ish fire. His irises are a strangely light gray/violet, almost white.
His hair is pitch-black and swept to the left, with some bangs in front of his face (which also point diagonally downwards-left) and hanging loose at the back and side of his head. he tends to keep it clean and has tried to style it in different ways but for some reason, it always came back to that same hairstyle. He tends to keep it rather short so it doesn't get in his eyes too much when he is fighting.
Alex is usually seen with a relaxed expression on his face. Once he enters combat, however, all this relaxation disappears and it is replaced with a large grin of blood-drunkenness. His eyes turn wide, he bares his teeth like a rabid dog, and starts rambling about taking heads. This is not the way you want to see him believe me.
He has sharp facial features, handsome in a rough-hewn way. That, and his slightly tan skin, muscular figure (sixpack and all), and his rather graceful way of moving make him rather attractive towards females, though he does not always have interest in them, when he's training by himself, with N, or with his Pokémon, for instance, and especially not when he's fighting. Clothing: He wears blue traditional flowing samurai robes under his armor, made of an especially fine cloth that doesn't rub his skin sore. Over these, he wears a short, orange vest of tough linen with white marks on the chest, smooth orange arm plates and orange hip armor, the kind the samurai wore. Except for that, his upper legs are undefended. On his lower legs, he wears smooth orange plates similar to his arm plates and simple leather boots. He has a belt made of white cord and cloth which his weapons are also attached to in a series of knots and patterns only he would be able to create. Personality
Honorable Warrior - "Do not kill the old, the weak, the sick, not the innocent, the unarmed." Alex holds honor above all but his friends. He would never kill an unarmed man (unless they commited crimes or have to die for his current objective), and he has an aversion to fighting women (doesn't mean he won't punch them senseless anyway). He follows these codes to the letter, but that doesn't mean he forgoes tactics such as surrounding people, 2 or 3-against-1 fights, ambushes, et cetera. When you forsake your honor you are worth less than a wet rag in his eyes. Honor is what keeps men on the right path, he believes, and if you lose your honor it is only a matter of time until you walk down the wrong path.
Reliable and Sympathetical - "You know you can always come to me in times of trouble..." Alex always has an open ear for friends in trouble, and you can trust him with your secrets. He does not judge people by what they have done in the past but by what they will do in the future. Having been through a lot in his life, he can relate to many stories, and he knows how the pain feels. His experience leads to him giving good and wise advice, and he also knows how to cheer others up. He won't need that himself because he is...
Happy and Upbeat - "Aww crap, she left me... Eh, plenty of fish in the sea!" For a person who holds his honor in such high regards, Alex is a very cheerful person. He is almost never really really down. His happiness is often infectuous, and often helps the people around him smile in tough situations. He will always find something to be happy about. You could shatter his kneecap, thus taking away his favorite hobby of freerunning with Joltik and he'd just say "Oh well, it'll heal in time!" Isolated imprisonment? "I'll be outta here soon, plus this cell isn't all that bad!" Killing a friend? "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU YOU FILTHY MOTHERF-" Wait what?
Merciless Avenger - "-CKER! I WON'T LEAVE A SINGLE SCRAP OF YOU INTACT!" You harmed a friend of his? Thrown away your honor? Well damn boys, seems like we've got an idiot on our hands! He enters a total frenzy when he sees a friend of his harmed and/or killed. Alex has a tendency of tearing apart the people whom (he thinks) hurt his friends or other people he cares about, thus earning him his nickname of Hellion Drifter from his master Lance. He carries a grudge like this for a very long period of time, and when he meets someone again who harmed an innocent person, everything they do will tick him off. This may sound childish, to you, because it is, and though he knows that hating a person won't undo what they did, he just can't bring himself to like people who brought harm down on his friends.
Battle-Drunk - "Your head, your head, your headyourheadyourheadYOURHEAD GIVE ME YOUR HEAD!" When battle finally descends on Alex, he has a tendency to enter a blood-drunken state, feeling next to no pain and fatigue until all of his energy runs out, and though he can still discern friend from foe, he sometimes has trouble holding back and might hurt someone who gets in the way. The only exceptions to this rule are N, his close friend and foster brother, and his Pokemon companions, whom he cares about like children and like brothers. He only enters this state when he's under (strong) emotions. He has a habit of rambling about people's heads when the battle is joined, especially the enemy commander, who will always be his target, the one whose head he wants to take.
History
History
Most of Alex's past is clouded. Distant. Blurry. Whether it was the underage drinking problems, his abusive father, the traumatization of seeing people fall dead where a day ago they had been healthy, the fact that he both consciously and subconsciously supressed his memories, the brawls he so often got in, the constant malnutrition, the tainted water... The list goes on.
Alex doesn't even remember where he's from. All he remembers is a huge city, with a rich, walled-up core and miles of slums around it, on an island. Or at least he thought it was an island. He heard the word often. 'Island.' He simply supposed he lived on one because of that. He never once bothered to ask his master about it. But the sea was the only beautiful thing out there, stained brown though it was. The rest of it was all dirt and sickness and a brooding heat. Perfect for germs to multiply.
He was a beggar boy, though in a place where all people are beggars this is no rarity. And as a beggsr he suffered almost constant malnutrition and hunger. All the food they had were either the meager rations the guards gave them all (though most of it ended with criminal groups) and the leftovers that could be picked out of the river running through the city. Or it was because the city had been built on two seperate but close islands. Again, even he doesn't rememember.
His parents raised him to be a good boy. Not aggressive, but humble, like a beggar should be. He never misbehaved. Always followed his parents' words to the letter. They fed him well. One time he found out that his parents had been giving him parts of their food as well. Alex had immediately refused to take any more of their food. Whenever he found out after that he actually got angry. Yet they continued to make sure he was well fed. His parents loved him.
But they were the only ones. Out on the street he would get kicked for so much as looking at a person the wrong way. Once, some old guy had even tried to do strange things to him, something he didn't remember until he was twenty. The slums were a dangerous place, and Alex had to learn how to handle himself there. How to live in a place where noone should. He learned how to filter diseases from water, but even so he came down with illness from time to time. How he survived is still a wonder to him.
Everything took a change for the worse when his mother died of dysentery when Alex was 7. She wad the one who made the most money. Alex never learned she did it by selling her body. For a year, Alex and his father managed to scrape by. Then his father got into the criminal circuit. He sold narcotics to the masses, delivered packages, ran errands that could get him locked up for years. In return he got money, which he used to buy moonshine and booze, not to feed his son.
Whenever his father was drunk, he would beat Alex bloody. All the while he would threaten to kill him, tell him how he was a disgrace. But Alex never raised a hand back despite the fact that even at seven and without food he was strong and fast, and his father was emaciated, old, and weakening. This went on for five years. Five years of beatings and insults and sickness and hunger. By then he just wanted his father to bash his skull in, make an end to it.
Then one day, his father got home, more drunk than usual. Again, he started hitting Alex, this time for not looking him in the eye, even though the fact that he did was also often a reason for his beatings. Then he started blaming his son for his wife's death. Said that it was his water that had poisoned and killed her. That he hadn't cared enough for her. That, even though it was his father who did most of the attempted healing, Alex hadn't done enpugh to cure her. Yet the boy was innocent. But innocence is easily spoiled. And that night it was.
In a fit of insane rage, Alex grabbed a bottle, broke it, and thrusted the broken glass deep into his father's stomach. The man stumbled and fell. Alex got on top of him, hitting and stabbing him with more bottles, stuffing hands full of broken glass down his throat, kicking and punching him like he had done to Alex so many times before. The first bottle had been lethal, but that hadn't stopped Alex for brutalizing his father's body for the next two hours or so. By the time he was done, the sun was rising over the city of the poor again.
Not seconds after he had stopped assaulting his father's corpse he broke down in tears. Now, his life truly was forfeit. When the front door burst open Alex thought it was the Grim Reaper himself coming to get him. Instead he saw the man who would later introduce himself as Lance. He told Alex that he had power, power that could only be awakened with the right training and with enough discipline to stop outbursts such as this. Power sounded good to Alex. With power he would be able to protect himself, and he wouldn't need to beg. Besides, Alex had no choice. He had killed his father, and his criminal buddies would certainly come to kill him for it. Reluctantly he took Lance's hand. The world around him flashed green and seemed to collapse into darkness.
When Alex regained his senses again, he found himself spirited away from that dark place. It turned out to be Lance's mansion, though it was more of a small castle than that. Alex was silent at first, not trusting Lance like he hadn't trusted anyone. For five years he only trusted in himself, and after killing his father even that trust wavered. But soon he opened up to Lance. At first he answered his questions with as little as possible. Then he started elaborating more. In the end he actually came to Lance instead of the reverse. The man gave him food out of his wildest dreams, clean water, a soft bed.
And he gave him power.
One day, he was introduced to another boy; Nicholas 'N' Shutz. That was the day their training started. They were two trained as one. When they got an assignment from Lance, they always had to do it together for it would be impossible alone. Like Lance had become a father to him, N became a brother. They were taught to fight, and Alex turned out to have the true warrior's instinct. His fighting style was unorthodox, using both a bastard sword and a dagger at the same time. But when Lance offered him their counterparts from other lands, Alex found them to become part of his body. The nodachi Wailing Dark. The wakizashi Screaming Light.
But it was on the mental level where he had problems. He couldn't stand 'dirty fighting' where N didn't shun it. More than once Lance had to jump in before Alex beat his foster brother bloody. Afterwards Alex would always regret it, and for Alex's safety and the safety of those around him he taught him to completely take control of his emotions. For these 'troublemaking urges', like Lance called them, and his energetic restlessness he earned the nickname Hellion Drifter, and his enraged state was dubbed Hellion Mode.
Lance taught them magic too, a way to form permanent magical bonds with strange creatures the origin of which Alex never understood. He still believes they came from a different realm, like demons, though they were simply from a distant continent. Two came to his side. The small jumpy bug named Joltik, who became a kind of permanent companion to him, and the strange misty ghost named Haunter, loyal to Alex and a very important being to him. They would grow further than they were right now. They would become stronger. Stronger than Alex could ever dream of, Lance promised him.
And then one day Lance announced his leave. Alex was saddened, but knowing Lance it was not without reason. He had always known that there was no way that he would live forever comfortably under Lance's wings. It was time for him and N to spread their own wings and learn to fly. When their master finally took his leave, the two young mages set out into the world. Alex and N both hope to meet Lance again, and never stopped looking for clues to his whereabouts. But before they could see him again they would have to train so they wouldn't disappoint him. They would grow in strength and their companions along with them.
They would go out and be the very best.
Like noone ever was.

Wailing Dark
Name: Wailing Dark Class: D Description: A Nodachi with a 1.2 meter blade length made of fine, strong, yet brittle steel, forged with the low-quality Maru method (one big chunk of hard steel instead of layers of soft and medium steel).

Screaming Light
Name: Screaming Light Class: D Description: A Wakizashi also forged by the Maru method, it is hard but brittle, but used more for stabbing than slashing (even though it can do that just as well). It's 40 cm long.

Armor
Name: Armor Class: D Description: Alex's ragtag armor; leg plates, arm plates, hip protection, that's it. Effect/Function: Protects Alex from damage.
Hellion Mode: Not so much a fighting style as much as it is a state of mind, whenever Alex gets into a fight and gets really angry he enters a battle-drunk, aggressive state his master Lance dubbed 'Hellion Mode'. In this state he still feels his pain and fatigue, only is capable of ignoring them to some level. He still gets tired and weakened. During Hellion Mode's reckless state, Alex has been known to prefer some special attacks as you will see here:
Hellion Moves
Hellion Dash: Sounds simple, is simple, and also effective. Alex charges at his opponent with reckless abandon, trying to get into their guard before they can bring it up. Normally used to finish a fight before it starts, either with Wailing Dark or Screaming Light.
Hellion Cross Slash: Alex takes Wailing Dark in his left hand, and Screaming Light in his right, holding them together as if in a 2-handed style, and leaps at his opponent. He then 'seperates' the two blades from each other and performs a cross-slash.
Hellion Crusher: Either used for ambushes or as finisher, Alex leaps on top of a fallen opponent, with his right foot on their chest and his left behind their head, he brings Wailing Dark down in a wide arc, either to smash their throat with its flat side, or to sever their heads.
Hellion Headhunter: Alex rushes at the opponent with Wailing Dark, performs a spinning jump towards them with the Nodachi in a reverse grip, trying to take the opponent in the throat to sever their head.
Hellion Blood Torrent: Related to Hellion Headhunter, Alex instead ducks and whirls up, slashing the opponent three times, once on the upper legs, once in the stomach, and once in the throat. Known as his most bloody attack, as seen in the name.
Hellion Rush: Either used as a finisher or as a last resort, Alex puts Wailing Dark in his mouth (yes his mouth) with the edge outwards, and rushes at the opponent, running at them as fast as he can. He does not draw Screaming Light, to confuse the opponent as to why he would possibly put his sword in his mouth. Just before he reaches them, he crouches and jumps to kick them in the stomach. He then follows up by taking Wailing Dark out of his mouth and stabbing it into their stomach, tearing out their insides.
Slumdog Survivor: Alex's youth in the slums and the dregs made him street-smart, agile, and not afraid to get his hands dirty. He knows what kind of people to look out for and what kind to approach. He also has a fantastic sense of direction due to the lack of landmarks in the slums, so he had to find his own way. He also knows how to make cheap bandages and disinfect wounds with around-the-house chemicals and objects.
Emotional Control: Way back when, Alex used to have a tendency of going into Hellion Mode at the tiniest provocation, so Master Lance taught him ways to meditate and control his own feelings. Now, he can enter and exit Hellion Mode at will, and calm his emotions whenever he needs to. The only thing that can make him snap into Hellion Mode unwillingly now is seeing a friend get harmed, or someone forsake his honor for money or power.
Magic Name: Poké Assist Magic Type: Multi-Summoning Tier of Magic: 1 Rank: 3 Magic Description: Alex's magic is a standard magic -if you want to call it that- that allows him the ability to call and summon forth powerful beings from another dimension that call themselves "Pokemon" or "Pocket Monsters". These beings are actually creatures from other continents on Fiore but Alex and N themselves doesn't know that, they simply think they come from other realms because they have no reason not to. These Pokemon are only capable of saying their own name, and nothing more. They are capable of understanding human speech though. Techniques: 3/3 (+3/3 bought)
Go, Haunter! - 3 Type: Summon Range: N/A Effect:
Haunter
Name: Haunter Nickname: Shady Age: 2 Height: 45 cm Weight: 1 kg
Physical Description Haunter is a purple, ghost-like Pokémon with a roundish body with a pair of disembodied hands with three digits floating in front of it. Haunter possess a trio of spike-like protrusions on either side of its face, and what appears to be a tuft of messy fur hanging beneath it. It has triangular white eyes with tiny black pupils and a mouth with several sharp, purple teeth. He also has a surprisingly long tongue capable of hitting people with the same force as if it was an actual limb.

Personality Despite only being capable of speaking his own name, Haunter has a rather obvious personality. He hates being lonely and will do anything to get some attention, often ending up doing something mischievous or silly that he shouldn’t have done. This often results in Alex scolding him, and then giving him the attention he wants, because he’s just a cool guy like that. When he’s not looking for attention, Haunter is pretty nice and will use his disembodied hands to pull pranks on people. Don’t you dare threaten his master, though, that angers him beyond compare.
Weaponry
Name: Tongue Class: C Description: Haunter’s tongue. It’s a meter in length and can shoot out like a frog’s tongue to hit people with Haunter’s full strength.
Name: Bouncy Body Class: D Description: Haunter has a rather special physical trait: his body bounces. He still takes trauma damage, but at a lesser level. Of course, this means he does have a weakness towards cutting weapons. This is a natural trait because all Haunters possess some form of flight or levitation, and they don’t want to fall painfully when their magical energy runs out. Oh, he also floats in regular water.
Name: Claws Class: D Description: Haunter has pointy, sharp claws capable of ripping flesh and cloth. Though invisible, his hands are still attached to his body through so-called Ghost Streams, energy streams used by Ghosts to levitate objects. These Ghost Streams can be cut with regular weaponry.
Magic Name: Ghost/Poison Type Magic Type: Pokemon Elemental Magic Rank: 3 Magic Description: This magic, possessed by every Haunter in the Haunter’s home country, allows a Haunter to use telekinesis and levitation, and use the elements Shadow and Poison for offense, but only in certain amounts. Techniques: 6/6
Levitation - 3 Type: Ghost (Supportive) Range: Self Effect: This allows Haunter to use the same Ghost Streams that hold his hands in place to levitate his own body off the ground. The duration is 4 posts with an equally long cooldown, and Haunter cannot carry anybody else, the height limit is 2 meters and the speed limit 15. He can carry mundane items, and heavier items (say, household appliances like a microwave and such) with some strain, but those will require him to float almost on the ground. Haunter cannot fly over water and other liquids.
Shadow Ball - 3 Type: Dark (Offensive) Range: 30 meter/10 meter (diameter) Effect: Haunter gathers dark elemental energy on his hands and either shoots a black orb the size of a basketball at the enemy, with dealing big bruises where it hits, but nothing serious or permanent, or he claps his hands together, smashing the black orb and sending a shadow pulse in a 10 meter diameter around himself, knocking people to the floor but further not doing any damage. To resist te knockdown effect, the target's Stamina needs to be 25 or higher. Cooldown is 3 posts.

Joltik
Name: Joltik Nickname: Flash Age: 2 Height: 10 cm Weight: Just a couple grams
Physical Description Joltik are yellow, furry mite-like Pokémon, and are small, being the smallest known Pokémon. They have blue eyes, two of which areocceli. They have two face-down points for a mouth, and their four limbs are tipped with blue.

Personality Joltik is a little reckless. He likes to run and jump around, and climb buildings with his tiny bug-like climbing claws. He is fiercely loyal towards his master, Alex, though he might sometimes ignore his orders and run off by himself when he wants to. Of course, in serious combat situations he’ll just fight along with Alex like the little boss he is. He is easily offended and will fume and walk away when he is. Alex will often try to calm him then, and the little thing can never bring himself to continue hating the man who raised him.
Weaponry
Name: Fur Class: D Description: Joltik’s yellow fur is made up of extremely tough carapace-like hair, closer to spikes than hair, actually. They can block basic weapons or at least allow Joltik to have them glance off due to his small size.
Name: Fangs Class: C Description: Joltik’s tiny yellow fangs allow him to drink blood and pierce skin. Combined with his climbing claws he can tear skin open with his incredibly fast movements for his small size.
Name: Climbing Claws Class: D Description: Not really used for offense, Joltik has tiny claws at the ends of his tiny yellow limbs that allow him to scale things such as buildings, but also people and other creatures.
Magic Name: Bug/Electric Type Magic Type: Pokemon Elemental Magic Rank: 2 Magic Description: This magic, possessed by every Joltik in the Joltik’s home country, allows a Joltik to use its bug-like aspects such as a beam of light meant for the mating ritual, some kinds of spores, and fang-based attacks, and its electrical aspects, giving them access to lightning magic. The two kinds can be combined. Techniques: 6/6
Wild Charge - 2 Type: Electric (Offensive) Range: Melee Effect: Joltik cloaks himself in electric energy and rushes at the opponent, tackling them with his tiny yet powerful body. At this level, Wild Charge only leaves a numb feeling in the area that has been struck. 1 post cooldown.
Electroweb - 2 Type: Offensive/Supportive Range: 20 meters Effect: Joltik shoots a web out of his mouth, 2 feet in diameter, that wraps itself around the target. At this level, the Electroweb only gives the target a mild shock, not painful but causing the target to spasm once or twice, and can easily be torn apart, like regular woolen fabric. The net lasts for 2 posts if it isn't ripped apart. 2 post cooldown.
Signal Beam - 2 Type: Offensive Range: 20 meters Effect: Normally used for the mating ritual, Joltik shoots a yellow-blue beam with red accents from his mouth, at the target's eyes. When it hits it feels like a weak push, and it makes colored spots appear in the target's vision for 2 posts. 2 post cooldown.
