Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Addam started on his Chicken Salad, he would have rather started on the cake but he was trying to be something of a role model at the moment, the kid in front of him was childish enough for both of them plus if he wanted to finish all the cake he could, Addam had a few other things on his mind, he was trying to ensure that he remembered the directions he was given by reciting them in his head over and over. Hopefully if he thought about it enough. “Oh, you’re welcome, and I’ll have some in a bit, you just eat as much as you want for now.” Addam said slightly absent minded, he was still in shock that Sora did have some intellect in what he had just said, and he was wondering if he chose not to listen to the inner voice telling him that something was a stupid idea or just was a klutz. “My family, no the knights aren’t my family. They are more trying to keep me with them than being protective. It seems I made a good impression on a higher up and that means I get the whole ‘You can’t leave’ treatment. My family live a few miles from the city, I haven’t seen them in awhile, I moved out when I was six to a private school.” Addam said, he held no pain or anguish in his voice, it wasn’t something that concerned him too much, he had accepted it over the years, pushing around a chunk of chicken on his plate. “So what about you, where are your parents? Not that I can complain at you for travelling around, there isn’t too much of an age difference between us.”

Sora continued on slowly eating into his cake while listening to the other explain things. Just as he thought, Addam did have a family though he was a bit surprised. He never knew any customs outside his village so the fact that the other was sent to a private school, probably a boarding one as well, at the age of six sounded a bit harsh to him. Well, perhaps for people of their social class it was an honor but for Sora, who thought of the idea of being far away from your family at an early age was a tormenting idea, merely avoided trying to frown. He didn’t want the other to feel bad or anything. But he quickly forgotten about it when Addam continued on until the question was now pressed before him.

“Hmm? Me? Of course, I’m old enough to travel. If you read any mantras or Sanskrit epics before, you’d see that there are warriors who are given tests by their masters to go out into the world and search for greater potential.” He replied calmly, biting into another luscious slice of the cake, beaming with happiness every time he did so, if not for the absence of a real blush on his cheek to betray his inner feeling. But he quickly settled his fork on the plate and sighed as if he was chasing away some bad thoughts. “But my family… they’re all dead, so I wouldn’t really know if they’d be fine with the idea of me roaming around. But it’s okay. I am a warrior after all.”

And with that, he returned to eating into his cake, wondering if it would still taste the same – sweet and delicious – even after that brief recollection of an unwanted memory.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” Addam said, he had returned his mind more to the conversation when Sora had once again started to talk, what he had heard he wasn’t expecting and he wished he hadn’t asked, mainly because he was unsure on Sora’s feelings on the subject, he looked happy enough eating his cake, but Addam was aware that it was easy enough to hide emotions under a mask of indifference or another emotion. “I wasn’t expecting that, but you really should be careful. It’s not the safest thing to be running around.” Into porches was what Addam wanted to say, however he had brought it up before and didn’t want to go on about it. “SO, just be careful ‘kay?” He finished, he felt like an old man at that moment, not that being an old man in Tully village would single him out, in fact it would most likely allow him to blend in more as the majority were over forty. “Anyway, how is the cake. There were a few different types but I don’t like that chocolate cake was the best thing first thing in the morning, and if this doctor is strict, may be killed for giving you cake at all.” Addam laughed about, taking another piece of chicken and some of the greenery around it and chewing it before giving a lazy sigh. This wasn’t the day he expected and he was hoping just to go elsewhere and do what he wanted but he promised to this kid, and he wasn’t about to break it. “Why don’t you like knights anyway, I can say that I’m not the biggest fan of the whole knight thing but I don’t dislike them, well most of the time.” Behind him a few more old people shuffled and hobbled past to join the large crowd that seemed to be gathering around one checkers game, this was most likely the highlight of the quiet town.

“It’s all right. It’s not like it’s taboo to be talking about them.” He added, realizing that Addam had sounded a bit dark on the subject. “And don’t worry… old man.” He jested trying to make the other realize he was being too much of a worrywart for someone his age. “And trust me, I think the doctor will be glad I have something to eat, even if its sweets, than to have nothing at all. Better to be full than famished.” He said as he took a slice of the chocolate cake and ate it with another gleeful expression, as the taste of the delicious treat seemed to almost melt within his mouth like some jelly. He was suddenly pulled out from his lavishing of the cake when Addam asked about the knights and his rather put off feeling with them. Now, that was a hard one to answer for he did not know fully why he did not like the knights so much. “Hmm… I don’t know. I can’t really pinpoint a certain reason as to why I feel such way about them. It’s not like it’s just a nonsense behavior as well because I can tell that my blood could boil whenever I think entirely about the knights and such.” He paused for a moment and changed plates with the next cake. He carefully sliced through it with the desert fork and took a bite size of it and ate it. He smiled in glee again, strawberry seemingly showing its dazzle in him. Then he continued, “Though I must say, perhaps it is because they act so self-righteous that it gets to me. I follow a code that knows all the consequences of being a pursuer of justice and such, and it is far from allowing me to feel self-righteous. In fact, I feel more pressured to be responsible and to know that I am tainted with similar sins and splotches of darkness in my soul as everyone else. And thus, we can have a better relationship with the people, rather than lording over them by our ranks. No offense.” He added at the end, seeing how sounded so emotionally convinced by his own words.

“I’m not the biggest fan of Knights myself. I’d rather be at home with my family, but can’t some stupid rules about following orders, they train you to the point where it becomes impossible to not do what they say...” Sighing Addam talk another mouthful of the food on his plate, swallowed and continued where he left off. “...Whenever they say it, but I don’t think there are too many who look down on everyone else, I know of some who would put duties before anything else, but in the end of it people are people. No matter if you put them in a Knight’s uniform, dress them up as a butcher or book seller or even stamp a Mage’s guild symbol on them, I think you look at the person and not the position.” Laughing slightly he finally said. “If I took everyone at face value, I would think of you as a klutz who was a bit too head strong.” Addam felt like winding up Sora slightly, he didn’t think that Sora would be one to take things too harshly and so messing around with him would be something friendly instead of malicious. Taking a few more mouthfuls from his plate until nothing was left and giving time for Sora to vent if he would he finally said. “But honestly, what you did before for that old man, you have some heart I can at least say that, you may not have anything in your head. But at least you have something.” With that he picked up a few of the empty plates and quickly places them on a table not too far away that was labelled ‘Used Plates’ and had a few already piled up. “Once you’ve finished we will go.” Addam said taking a seat.

Sora frowned once more when he was regarded as such, though he kept any comments to himself. Instead, he pouted as he went to slice his cake another time and though he didn’t really like the other to talk to him and regard him like some child, he’ll have to settle with it. After all, the other was being kind enough as well. Still, the thought of meeting the doctor was rather scary. Not that he was really scared about it but to think that they were in a town full of old people meant only one thing – that the doctor would most likely be an old geezer as well. Just imagining the trembling hand of an old man while holding a needle during a stitch, or a scalpel, or a pair of scissors freaked Sora more than he could have ever thought and ended up choking on the last bite of the cake. He managed to calm himself though and place the desert fork on the empty plate as soon as he was done. “All right… I suppose I shouldn’t delay this any further. I’m a warrior. I can do this.” He told himself more than the other to be honest. He was more preoccupied with psyching himself not to run away from the predicament that he had gotten himself into. Now, if only he could get himself walking towards the where the said clinic would be, then it wouldn’t be much of a problem from there… would it? He was sure that he wouldn’t be chickening out from it nor would he try to escape. It’d stale his family name and the pride that he so carefully nurtured throughout the years was at stake as well.

In any case, he watched as Addam took the used plates and went to bring it back to the shop inside. On the other hand, he took the initiative to stand and at least fix the chairs of the table, making sure that it was ready for the next persons to come and have their chance with the café’s delicious food offering and have ready table to consume their chosen dishes. And as he stood, Sora held his shoulder once more, flexing a bit and wincing at the pain. He sighed and he knew that it wasn’t gonna be a quick exam on the doctor’s part. Perhaps he’ll have to lay off any strenuous task afterward as well.

Addam looked to see the kid straightening up chairs, half of him once again thinking about how stubborn he was, and most likely dislike the order of the knights, something Addam wasn’t too fond of himself but the other half just smiling. He was right this kid did have some heart. “Alright, let’s start off.” Addam said, once again offering his arm for support, he wasn’t going to carry Sora to the doctor, that would just seem strange but he wasn’t join to let him hobble there without help, the likelihood was that he would be hit over the head with something from an elderly resident and then find out that the knights would punish him for giving them a bad reputation for not helping someone in need. “It shouldn’t be too far, so let’s go.” Addam said, starting to walk down the road, he wasn’t expecting Sora to take the help even if he needed it, well if things continued on this way not until they were two steps outside the doctor’s house and he had collapsed twice as was the way the kid’s stubbornness seemed.

Looking over to the collection of old people to the left, the ones who were there before crowded around some other game, it seems they were all shaking with anticipation either that or some one had given them too much caffeine, he could only guess that the game was reaching a pinnacle. However there wasn’t time to stop and wait as he made his way down the street and turned the corner ready to set off for the doctor’s. “So do you end up hurting yourself a lot, and have to visit the doctors, or is it just something that you decided to do today.” Addam asked Sora, trying to take up some time on the journey.

Sora didn’t want to, but he allowed himself to do so. What was it? To depend on someone he had just met. Getting help in arriving to that said café was one thing and he had hoped it would be the last. However, what he didn’t know was that the would soon be left with no choice but to accept the same offer of help and be helped around the corner and into the streets once more. To be honest, he really appreciated the fact that the other was being kind to him despite his cold demeanor to the other, if not arrogant and dismissive nature. It wasn’t all the time that he could meet such a person, let alone a knight. “Wow, keep this up and I might just change my perspective of knights. From zero to hero?” He jested with a slight chuckle before wincing again. Only then did he realize that they were walking quite some distance before they reached the doctor’s clinic. Hopefully, he could get there in time before any unwanted trouble… like suddenly feeling more sick and probably wanting to faint and all. But wasn’t that what he was currently feeling? That weird feeling in the midsection that makes you want to throw up and all. And the busy and hurting feeling along the temple like something was being drilled into his head.

And just like that, he stopped their walk for a moment as he leaned against Addam while looking down on the ground. For a moment, there was just unsteady silence between them and he knew that it wasn’t a good sign. He was losing air or more like having a hard time breathing. He needed to get to the doctor’s clinic fast before anything else were to suddenly pop up. Perhaps exhaustion and a possible internal swelling along his shoulder had finally taken its toll on him. His body never seemed to want to give up before so why now? A good question, though an answer was something unlikely. “This is bad… I’m beginning to feel lightheaded.” He said, raising his better arm to touch his head before he felt more sick than usual and really wanted to vomit but merely stopped himself. It just meant that if they were on their way to the clinic, they better hurry because he wasn’t sure how long he could hold on for much longer, and frankly, he didn’t want to show any more weaknesses to the other.

Addam turned to look at the boy who was complaining of light-headedness, this was bad he was exhausting himself and if they continued much further he would most likely be on the ground, which would be bad as, well people collapsing was generally a bad thing. Sighing slightly Addam decided upon the best cause of action, moving his bow around and quiver also, so that the sting was across his back, he went over to Sora and took his hand, before letting him do anything else, Addam pulled Sora onto his back. The clinic wasn’t too far away but Addam wasn’t the strongest in the world, so it wasn’t going to be the easiest of journeys. “Heh, lose a little weight next time you are going to feel light headed, it’s annoying enough having you hit into me then buying you lunch. But making me work... Something is wrong with you.” Addam laughed at, the fact was that Sora like him was a kid and in a new town that he had most likely never been in before and when he was injured, it wouldn’t be the nicest experience. It didn’t take too long for them to reach the doctor’s Addam being quiet trying to focus on moving forwards and he didn’t want to fall with two large blades sticking out in front of him. Before he reached the top of the steps. A young twenty year old woman exited from the front door and gave the pair a glance. “What is wrong, I am Dr. Bromley, Come on quickly inside.” And with that Addam followed her up the path into the building with Sora on his back. “Told you that I’d take you to the doctor’s. There will be no squirming your way out of it.” He said in a slightly out of breath voice.

Sora didn’t like being carried around like that. It was the epitome of being utterly weak, not to mention pretty much how a child would be carried by an older relative or so. “You’re lucky I’m not strong enough to bonk you in the head.” He managed to let out as a thin threat, seeing how his current condition wouldn’t really make him to do so in first place. Yet he laid his head against the other’s back and rested for a moment while Addam went to bring him to the clinic. He really was acting like a knight, though the ones from those books he once read, once that were kind and all, and far from the stories of the self-righteous ones that he learned from gossips and tales during his travels. “But it doesn’t mean you’re a good knight just yet.” He added, much to his embarrassment when he realized that his train of thoughts were beginning to wave for the older youth’s kindness. “It just means you’re better than the rest.”

Without further ado, they managed to reach the clinic and much to Sora’s relief, it was a female doctor and far younger than the rest of the people in town. Perhaps he wouldn’t have to dread about a shaky hand with needles and all and the fact that she was used to taking care of the elderly may even be more advantageous for Sora as it would mean that she did things gently, far from the torturous physicians back in his village. That’s right, they lacked the tender loving care aspect of treatment that mostly only women could ever render to a patient. “I’m Sora.” He said in reply when the doctor had introduced herself and motioned for them to enter the clinic. No sooner did they enter was he laid on an empty bed and Addam was spared form having to carry him any longer than need. “Thanks.” He said briefly as he looked up at the other.

Then, the doctor proceeded to take his vitals and run some tests pertaining to his bad shoulder. Despite Sora’s wish that it wouldn’t be much of a problem, it went the other way around. He had to get the shoulder cemented or so, just to make sure it wouldn’t get any worse – a fracture or sort, which now made him feel bad about being so careless. Well, it just goes to show that he’ll have to be careful in future. And as for that promise with Addam, well, he wouldn’t be able to join him in his training, but he made the other promise that as soon as he was better, they’d have that short competition of theirs.
