Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

As they continued down the road, Sora started to reveal a little about his past and the father that Addam had asked about, and then came the fast that he wasn’t all too fond of knights. “At the moment, I’m not too fond of them.” Addam said in a matter of factly tone. “I never planned to be one, it happened by accident a long time ago, and now I’m not allowed to leave, that’s what happens when someone high up wants you to stay, this is my first time out of Chrysanthemum in a few months, and still the reason I came here was really to train in a different setting, I most likely look as though I’m asking to stay most of the time.” He said laughing slightly, they were getting close now and it was clear that there were a few tables were the elderly hadn’t moved to, those being ones not under the shade of a sun cover, but Addam would guess the glare of the varnished wooden boards may not be the best thing. “So, anything you want to eat before we see the menu? Don’t worry about the price I’ll pay.” He added, the fact was he was sure that if this kid had the money he would have gotten his own food, he had enough at the moment in his pocket to buy quite a bit, he had been saving his money to try and enjoy his trip out of the city. “But later on when we’ve eaten I’ll show you and you can have a go if you want.”

From what Sora could tell, there was that distant tone in the other’s tone. It could well be a sign of the other’s sincerity of his answer. So a an who came into the order of the knights by accident and now seemingly being kept for a greater purpose that he wasn’t even aware of. But Sora didn’t show any sign of probing further as to why. He was more interested at what the other said about what could happen later on. Perhaps by demonstration of his skill, Sora would be able to see a glimpse of what Addam was being appraised as. And probably be the reason why he was to be kept even when against his own volition. After all, Sora was sure that there are Ex-knights around, those that have gotten out from the order. “Well, that sucks.” He commented about not being able to leave, “I mean, I wouldn’t want to be kept caged by something that I don’t like.” And like a sting of a bee, it hurt him as well. His situation was a bit similar after all. He never asked to be born into a known clan and let alone be born without magic. Sighing, he lost track of his balance and leaned at the other for a moment. “Sorry, I was spacing out.”

Still, he couldn’t help but show his interest on what the knight would show him later. “Alright. I’ll be the judge of it.” He grinned again and then stopped and smelled more cakes. “Ahhhh… I want chocolate, vanilla truffles, an entire large block of sansrival and butterbeer.” He said with a gulp.

Addam couldn’t help but laugh at the kid as he listed all the foods he wanted, in truth Addam would have like them also, his sweet tooth playing up at the sound of all the things containing sugar, but first he used his free hand to pull out a chair of the free table as they were now at the cafe and helped Sora into it before pulling out another one, removing his bow and quiver from his back, he placed them down by the side is the chair and reached across to grab one of a few rather presently presented menus. “I don’t think it of a cage, more of a job I have no choice in the matter of doing or not. I have returned home before, but within a few days maximum now, as they started to understand what I would do, I would get a knight or two to escort me back and then a stern telling off as though I’m five. The fact is when the person could easily kill me from over a mile away, I’ve tended to start to stay.” Opening the menu he looked through the long list, it was still early morning and he knew that he should have anything overly sweet, so he decided on a chicken and salad sandwich. “Anything in the Menu to interest you?” Addam asked, “Just wondering, what brought you to this town anyway, well besides the lovely and sturdy porches. Oh, after this we will find a doctor or physician to check over you, a broken bone isn’t the best of things.” He said, he could ask one of the locals if there were any around, the likely hood would be yes as they were in a town full of old people and old people required much help in the health area of things.

Sora hoped that he wouldn’t appear as imposing as he sounded. But hey, his stomach required filling and if Addam was keen on taking care of him, why not? Then while the other looked over the menu, he asked for Sora’s reason within the town, a reason that he himself couldn’t completely answer. “No real reason. I was just going about between towns and thought of stopping by. It’s a peaceful place and I don’t mind the elderly really. In fact, I think they’re better than having to deal with selfish and nosy kids. Kids these days know nothing but to cause trouble.” He flatly said as if he was not part of those “kids” that he was mentioning of. It didn’t take long before the conversation reached to having to be brought to a doctor and Sora knew he had to interfere. “Wait up!” He raised his uninjured arm as if to stop Addam from what he was doing at the moment. “You don’t need to go that far. This is my problem and this is nothing really. Give it a day or two, it’ll heal.” He said with much persistence as if his very life depended on the fact that he didn’t want to see a doctor. As far as he could remember, he hated all experiences with doctors, starting from his clan’s personal physician since it meant getting stitched on open wounds, drinking awful medicines, laying on bed for no good reason, and lastly, nightmares of the blood and the feeling of being helpless as another person holds the verdict on your life’s status. “Besides, this is my body. I can handle myself, thank you. How else do you think I’ve survived till now?”

Once again Addam had to suppress a laugh, the stubborn kid didn’t think he was a kid, Addam knew that many people would consider him one, however he was also more that a lot more people would find Sora as one and for much than just the fact that he was young. But he wouldn’t do that he was hurt enough physically no need to mentally hurt him as well. “Don’t be so stupid.” Addam suddenly said. “If you’re hurt then you’re hurt. We may as well make sure that it’s not too bad, it’s not like your legs are going to get amputated so you’re going and you have no choice in the matter.” Addam said, the ‘kid’ was getting annoying, why couldn’t he just accept the fact that he was injured and it wasn’t against any rules to accept help when you needed it. If Sora didn’t accept that, Addam was in half a mind to try and carry him to the doctor’s if he found out where it was, but for now food was the issue, hopefully after the kid was found to be alright, he could go looking for a place to practice, this quiet town was turning out to not be as quiet as he had first thought. “Luck? You survived with a lot of luck and stronger porches.” Addam said, yawning slightly. “But seriously, I’ll go and order in a second, what do you want to eat and drink from the Menu? After that we will see if we can get you checked out, hopefully there is only a screw or two loose in your head. After that we can go somewhere away from other people, I don’t want a stray arrow hitting a person, one visit to the doctor’s is enough for a day.”

Sora gave an obvious fake laugh as if to show his own amusement to the older youth’s words. “I’m telling you, I’m all right.” He insisted again before looking down to read on the menu. There were a few sets of meat as it was like a vegetable feast. Obviously, the fact that the town was a place for old people meant they need healthy recipes to go with them. No room for those red meat cholesterols and more investment to provide fresh vegetable salads. It was just a dream place for a vegan, and not for someone like Sora. Truth to be told, he wanted to scream. He wanted meat. He rebukes vegetable. He… is so dead. “Uh… So… anything less green around here?” He started as he flipped between the pages of the menu book, only to be exasperated by the last page that had the only meat about it, and not even entirely. “Oh great. A chicken salad.” He faked another smile before frowning and looking up at Addam. “You know what, I’m okay with just cakes.” He closed the menu book and pushed it back to Addam. “Besides, I don’t want to abuse your generosity any further.”

He then leaned on the table, looking beyond the older youth and watched as the elderly around them seemed to be enjoying themselves with what looks like a game of “snake and ladders”. He chuckled a bit before looking back at Addam. “Fine. I’ll go to the doctor but you better make sure you’re a good archer to show me a trick or two afterwards. I do know a bit of it as well from my father. Maybe a little healthy competition?”

Addam laughed slightly in frustration, this kid was getting annoying in the fact he couldn’t just do anything the first time, he seemed to enjoy dragging out things that any normal person would agree to, you hurt yourself and need assistance in walking, you go ensure your all right, but with this Sora, you hurt yourself and then wait thirty minutes trying to convince everyone else you’re fine, then you would likely end up collapsing, “Alright, give me a second and I’ll be back with the food. Don’t move too much.” He added at the End, he was sure that if he took too long he would see an angry and impatient Sora behind him waiting. A small part of him wished he hadn’t helped the man earlier and so not have been in the way of the kid, so even if he did crash and fall again he wouldn’t have had to deal with it, but at the same time he was sure that no matter what the situation had been before, he would have still ended up helping, it was just his luck.

Moving from the table and into the Cafe he was happy to see no queue and an anxious fourty year old woman standing behind the counter, most likely one of the younger inhabitants of the town. “Can I have a chicken salad and two three pieces of cake please?” He asked, he had decided that he may as well get two for Sora and one for himself, something of a reward for being so patient with the kid. “Sure, what type, Chocolate, Cream or cream and strawberry?” She said patiently. “Strawberry please, all of them.” Yawning slightly he flashed a look out of the window to observe the old folks playing their board games under the shade. He placed the money on the counter “There you go love, anything else?” Picking up the two plates one with the salad the other with the cakes, he asked. “Two things, could I have directions to the local doctor?” As she started to explain he nodded and hoped that Sora wasn’t doing anything too stupid.

To be honest, Sora couldn’t understand Addam at all. He was a stranger and yet he offered help. Sure, back in the village it was a normal thing, but that was because every was close to the other that it was almost like a family treatment. But this guy, was a stranger, someone he never saw before and never seemed to have thought about, let alone a knight that for some reason Sora never liked. Knights were always too bossy and self-righteous for his liking, but Addam was different. And all the more was he confused. And while Addam went to order their food, he leaned over the table, resting his head on his arm while his injured shoulder hang from the side. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to rest even just for a few seconds. He simply listened and he liked it. He always liked listening with his eyes closed – the meditation training that his father had taught him, a part of zen Buddhism that he learned as well. It would always calm his soul though it never tempted him to sleep like the others. It was just like a comforting embrace from a familiar warmth that you would always want to feel.

Just then, he felt a movement on the table and he lazily raised his head to find an old man looking back at him, smiling. He seemed old and frail, shaking with the walking stick and even holding on the table to keep himself steady. “Hey, gramps. Need help?” He asked and without much argument, he stood up and helped the old man walk towards his other old peers. Despite the pain on his shoulder, he still managed to do so. Perhaps it was because all old people reminded him of his wonderful and loving grandfather or perhaps not. No one could tell why Sora, the arrogant kid of Tokeihou Clan had a soft spot for the elderly.

As Addam recited back the directions to the woman who nodded to the fact that he was correct and had leart the way Addam quickly responded. “Thank you, my rather new ‘friend’ just hurt himself and I ned to ensure there isn’t anything too wrong.” He said, placing three forks onto the cake plate, one for his salad, one for Sora to eat the cake and another for him he moved towards the entrance of the Cafe again, what he saw he half expected but at the same time was rather shocked, of course the hyperactive kid wouldn’t stay still to save his life or at least in this case a lot of pain, but he was actually helping something, “So he’s a idiot, but at least not a selfish one.” Addam breather lowly, as he thought out loud to himself. Using his side he pushed the door of the cafe open and proceeded into the bright day as the Cafe’s entrance unlike the tables full of old people wasn’t shaded. “Sore, here’s something to eat if you still want it.” He called over before making his way back to the table to put the places in the centre after brushing aside the menus with his elbow, still conscious of the fact that no matter how much of an idiot Sora may be he was still injured, Addam headed over and offered him help in walking. “I found out were the doctors is, so after we eat we can go there to make sure everything is alright, and as I promised you can have a go of my bow if, and only if the doctor doesn’t object. Got it kid?” Addam said, accidentally slipping the last word out without things. Not is a harsh was more as a friends nickname for the childish Sora.

Sora looked back just in time as Addam came out from the café. The scent of newly sliced cakes sent those delicious ingredients’ aroma floating into the air. He smiled back to the older youth as he was helped to get back to the table only to be jolted with a surprise when he heard the other refer to him as “kid”. He quickly glared at Addam for that but didn’t say anything and merely went to the chair and sat on his own. “Like I said, I’m fine.” He was back to be his cold and arrogant self. For one thing, it was almost like it was a default defensive mechanism. He would return to such a personality whenever he felt his status was being threatened, and in that earlier case, it was when he was referred to as a kid. But no, he would never accept such a truth for he was more than a kid. Kids play all day, get dirty and get scolded. He had a responsibility, was expected to prevail at all odds, and to be the pride and glory of his dead clan. He was not given attention and love as those who should have given him parental love were not around… dead for so long. So, no… he never thought himself as a kid at all.

But instead of further debates, he decided not to. The food was served and it was best to partake it with gratitude than with pride. “Thanks for the food.” He said softly as he then held on the utensil to start eating. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep my promise. Not like I’m irresponsible to use a bad shoulder just to show off if I knew it needs rest to heal.” He added before eating a wonderful and luscious slice of cake. Then, he smiled and beamed with happiness just like a kid, though he would never admit it. “Owaa~ This is delicious. Have some, Addam.” He said, pushing the cake towards the other. “By the way, I’ve been wondering, but where is your family? I mean, the knights… aren’t your family yet they act more protective than one.”
