Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Addam wasn’t sure what had exactly brought him to where he was, Tully Village wasn’t famed for anything but old people and not much that he could do here, but it was a pleasant distance away from Chrysanthemum, enough to be called a distance he hadn’t been more than a few miles away from the city in such a long time and this was the perfect sunny morning for him to stretch his legs. One good thing about being in a town full of people past their sell by date was that there wasn’t anything that a knight needed to do that a normal person couldn’t do such as help an old person across the street or open a door for the over sixty conga line.

Addam like usual had his down and quiver strapped across his back and for some reason his normal clothing selection was dirty, most likely because he had been too busy to wash his clothes for the past few days and they had piled up, he had to wear his leather jerkin, it wasn’t as though it wasn’t comfortable, just that it made him feel as though he were on duty, he had always attached knight work with this and not the whole relaxing feel. “Excuse me young man, can you help me?” Came a voice from behind Addam, turning around it was clear that an old man was struggling to open the door while holding a box of fruit, nodding quickly, he pushed the door open and allowed the old man to proceed. His plan for today wasn’t going as quickly as he had hoped because people asked for small jobs or tasks but he was trying to find a relaxing place where he could practice with his bow for a short while, well he hoped he could find one.

It was the call of… nature. Sora woke up with a growling stomach and he had yet to satisfy the urgency of it due to the lack of money. He had recently arrived in Tully village in hopes of refining his knowledge about the world he had never known until he actually stepped out from his own tiny village. And yet, the world never seemed to cease from amazing him. Every turn and every occasion was like an all new experience that he knew he would never have earned had he stayed in that small village of his, and yet, by fate’s design he was now moving across Fiore without a goal, searching for that said goal and hoping to learn what really it is that he was looking for, aside from his current grudge on settling and avenging his sister’s condition that is.

In any case, by call of nature, he exited the small room he rented in that tiny inn and landed on the first floor where the small eatery should be. However, seeing how the food was yet to be prepared by those in charge, he thought it better to help them and asked if he could do anything. Strange, he never meant it. He merely wanted the food to get done and be cooked. But by design again, and not coincidence, he found himself doing an errand, looking for that lost kitchen boy who was late in returning to the inn with the grocery. And by design, he stumbled upon someone who was assisting an old man, accidentally bumping into him. At first they locked gazed before silence ruled over, and then Sora left. But only to return a minute later seemingly chasing a cat that appeared from the corner which was biting on a fish. Behind him was the kitchen boy, distressed at how the cat has caught their meal. And so, Sora ran as fast as he could, and while trying not to bump into the same person, and judging by his inherent speed, jumped to the side, only to slam against the wooden pillar that held the small roofing of the porch, one that was obviously not in good shape.

No wonder it was a village of old people… and old things, for the pillar gave way, breaking at its ancestral shape and the roofing collapse, much to the dismay of the owner, and to Sora, who now found himself in a highly compromising position… literally for having fallen next to the man earlier, landing on top of him before getting buried under the thin layer of the roof.

Addam continued along with thoughts of a nice empty field with a large tree to practice on, this being the perfect say with the beaming sun, however the thought was suddenly interrupted by someone who could move faster than all the residents of the town combined, by that he meant could actually walk at an average speed, this person who seemed to be a boy just younger than him hit into his side, thankful about the fact that it wasn’t the side where the large blade protruding from his bow was as to not to cause a gash down the boys arm. Not sure what to think he stared as the boy went past. Shaking his head slightly after a moment and rubbing his arm more out of habit than hurt he continued on for awhile, thoughts of the field returning, this then changing to thoughts of it the town had a pastry shop or a place that sold sweets. Half wanting to turn back and search the town, something caught his eye. The boy from before ran past all of a sudden thankfully this time not bumping into him, however he ended up breaking a porch and ending up buried.

“Are you alright?” Addam walked over slowly, offering a hand to the strange boy who seemed not to have any depth perception, this day just seemed to be one that was trying to slow him down from his aim of just relaxing, however he couldn’t leave someone in this state. “Do you need any help, because I don’t think a roof falling on you is the best thing to do with you day.” Addam said in a small joking voice.

Sora was winded for a moment. He simply laid on the ground, wondering if he broken a rib or two, though was thankful nothing was hurting as bad as… He gritted his teeth when he realized his shoulder was in massive pain. Then, someone helped get some of the rubble off him and he looked back to find it was the guy from earlier. “Weird clothes.” He commented though it was more meant to be a stream of consciousness and not to be spoken. Still, he did the damage and he spoke out loud. But he winced as he sat and held his right shoulder. It wasn’t the first time he had hurt the shoulder and it was better now then getting dislocated. Though the idea of a fracture scared him as well. “I’ll be fine.” He finally said as he pushed himself to stand, not minding the pain. But as soon as he stood up, he felt the world tremor and he felt dizzy, almost falling the side if not for his quick reflex, stepping his leg to the side to catch him back to a balanced stand “I uh… “ he then looked up and saw the kitchen boy. “Hey… my breakfast… the cook wants you back quick… and so do I.” And as if to emphasize it, his stomach growled and he laughed amidst the pain.

As Addam tried to help the boy get out from under the large mound of roof, a part of him didn’t wish to do so after the ‘weird clothes’ comment, it was true that his dress sense at this moment wasn’t 100% nor was it really ever as he tended to prefer comfort over eccentric and super stylish but still to be told by someone you were trying to help that, it wasn’t the best of things, trying to forget it and blame it on the guy’s accident, perhaps a concussion. Watching him stand up with a look that if he didn’t have something to hold onto he wouldn’t be in that position much longer was rather painful, just before Addam was going to ask if he needed any help to get anywhere suddenly he was shouting at some passer by about kitchens and food, Addam was really at a loss for words about this person, he seemed like a klutz, having knocked into him and a porch in the space of a few minutes and something of an idiot who seemed more concerned with passers by than himself. Sighing slightly Addam finally said. “If you’re hungry you may as well come with me, I’ll get you something to eat. You’ll need to sit down anyway.” Addam said, once again sighing as this was another hold up for him, the young knight who wanted nothing more than to go and enjoy a day out from Chrysanthemum who was now buying lunch for some kid just younger than him who had no sense of depth. Offering his arm Addam added. “You’ve hurt your self so use me to lean on, no point in making anything worse until we can get you checked over.”

Sora pouted as the older youth addressed him though he was inclined to accept the offer. Who in their right minds would refuse to be fed when one was just too hungry to even move anyway? “No, thanks.” He said deliberately and yes, he was not in his right mind, or maybe he was in his right mind and therefore stubborn to the very end. He gathered himself and started walking only for his stomach to growl so loud that he had stopped on the very first step. His face blushed redder than a red bell pepper as he lowered his gaze, tilting his head down to hide a bit of his features with the strands of his hair. Another growl and he was shaking for a moment before he looked at the older youth and then resigned himself to what seemed to be fate’s working. “Fine. I’ll go with you.” He said, trying to keep a little bit of that arrogant nature within his tone. He then reached out a hand to the other and leaned at him while walking to where the other was leading him. He couldn’t help but glance at the strange bow he had but did not comment on it. “Thanks.” He merely spoke as if there was a rule to feel abash every time he were to do anything of gratitude.

At first Addam wasn’t sure if this kid was just an idiot or very proud, either way he was being stupid and he was sure that in a moment that the kid would collapses from either pain as he did just have a porch and it’s roof fall on him or just collapse from an inability to walk any further, the slightly annoyed Addam decided to wait for a short while, he wasn’t going to let himself go when the kid needed help, thankfully he came to his senses and took his offer. “Now let’s go, I am sure I saw a cafe or something before, they have chairs and food, the two things you need at the moment. It’s not too far off so don’t worry.” He said, flashing the kid something of a smile, it wasn’t the day he had planned but at least he wasn’t in chrysanthemum, that would have been a pain larger than what ever this kid had. As he started to walk down the street, back in the direction he had just come from, he had to walk slightly slower as to not exhaust the kid, he was sure that even if he was he wouldn’t show it. Shifting the bow on his back slightly he finally said. “My name’s Addam, how about you?” it was only right for the person who you were offering to help to know your name and if he were going to have to sit with the kid awhile, he may as well know the kids name or spend some time in awkward silence. "Do you always end up bumping into things, like a porch and me, or is it just a bad day thing?" He asked finally just to pass some time by.

Sora really had to fight back the feeling of the pain and made sure not to drag the other down. He’d rather die than be a burden to anyone else, let alone a stranger. Then, when he was inquired of his name, he perked up and looked up the older youth, “Tokeihou Soramaru.” He replied, a sense of pride gleaming within the feint light in his eyes, as if by he loved his name. But it quickly disappeared with a shy grin and he continued. “But everyone calls me Sora.” Now that was strange. He was never the type to respond so kindly and easily to strangers. But then again, Addam was his savior for that day. He should care to know more about the other as well as return the respect showed to him. Though he flustered and looked away when further inquiries about his habit was laid out. “What? No, of course not! I’m not a kid, you know.” Quite the ironic statement and he winced again when he had unconsciously moved his arm and clipped the shoulder with a bad pat of his supposedly cradling arm that kept it safe. “I’m just fast.”

A few more steps and they rounded the corner. How easy the conversation died but how much Sora didn’t want to. He didn’t want the other to feel that he was suppressing the other after all. “So… you’re an archer. My father was an archer.”

Addam had a feeling that if this Sora knew that he was being referred to as a kid in Addam’s mind that the most likely event would be Addam being hit across the head, that had seemed like the general thing that most people did to Addam, he was surprised that he didn’t have either a large bruise there that never faded or brain damage. As they rounded the corner and continued to the cafe where they would hopefully get food and a place for Sora to sit down, he was indeed hoping that the kid wasn’t too badly injured but he had a feeling that even if he was within a day it wouldn’t bother this stubborn Sora too much. “Huh, Ye’... I’m an archer, I had to learn and specialise in some weapon for my knights training and well, the bow was one that I wasn’t pathetically bad at. But I’ve trained with it for a few years now and I’m rather good with it, what’s your father like anyway?” Addam asked questioningly, looking up he was sure he could see what looked like a large flock of old people with colourful cups playing board games, that must have been the social centre of the whole town, in other words the cafe, looking again he saw that many of the old folks had cake slices, a part of Addam wanted to break out into a sprint, however he would be there soon enough and he wanted to ensure that no more harm came to the ‘kid’ “And next time, just because you’re fast, at least look where you are going and try a little harder to avoid the porch that can fall down, alright?” Addam lectured slightly

Sora looked at Addam for a moment and chuckled. He couldn’t remember when the last time someone warned him for going too fast for his own good. “Yes, I will try to put on the brakes next time.” He answered with a matter-of-fact tone and they finally caught sight of a place where the people in town seemingly gathered to enjoy the company of each other. But what made more of the impression was yet another growl of his stomach upon seeing the cakes. It made him widen his eyes in surprise and then blush and slouch in embarrassment. And just so he could quickly divert from the obvious as they found a table and chairs to sit at, Sora took to answering that question from Addam, and to be honest, he’d rather not. Then again, whatever that happened was long into the past and he should have moved on from it, but he knows that there was that part of him that still clung onto a desire to avenge his clan’s demise.

“My father?” He repeated as he sat and looked at the other on the opposite side, “He liked scolding me too… to be slower and appreciate the time. No wonder he had the patience to master the bow and arrow, especially the big ones that are even bigger than me.” He answered with whatever information he was willing to share. He was never the talkative type especially about his family. But to turn the conversation around, he grinned and locked his gaze on the bow. “Still, I wonder just how good you are, Mr. Knight. I’m not fond of knights so I hope you could show me some skills so I may change my mind about them.”
