"Gah! Aaron how much farther?" The loud grunt of Renji Kuronoshi could be heard for miles as the young lightning mage cried in agony. He could be seen carrying a large brown bag on his back that held several items from clothes to training equipment. The mage didn't seem to happy as he dragged his feet through the dirt road on his way to his final destination. "Not much further Master...and judging from your attitude, you need this vacation as much as anyone." Aaron responded as he turned back towards the boy flashing a smile. Renji groaned as he crossed his arms, pouting slightly as he turned away. "Vacation?! Training with mom's old teacher's isn't a vacation. Besides I have a sensei! His name is Blitz, and he is a Fairy Tail mage like me, the guy is pretty strong." Renji said with a triumphant smile as he bumped into Aaron as the older man came to a stop. Renji grunted as he looked forward, setting eyes on the scene in front of him. The boys jaw dropped as he looked on at the small farm house in front of him. The house was barely big enough for a small family, and from the outside didn't look to be more then a one bedroom home. All around the house where fields as far as the eye could see. The crops swayed in the wind as the two men made their way towards the home, only to be stopped by a gun shot. As the bullet whizzed by Renji's head, the lightning mage flinched slightly before reaching for his sword, only to be stopped by a blade to his neck. "Renji meet your mother's old teachers...Old man Yama, and Mother Baba." Aaron said with a smile as Renji turned to see a rather old looking woman, grinning at him with her sword placed at his throat. Suddenly a figure could be seen jumping from the roof of the home, making its way towards the group. As it drew closer, the figure of an old man, no taller then 4 feet, with wrinkled skin, and a bald head made his way towards the group. "Ah Aaron, didn't see you boy, our sight isn't what it used to be. But its kind of hard to miss that hair style. That sure seems like Saionji's boy. He has her eyes, and his father's wild hair." The old man said with a laugh as he patted Aaron on the back. Almost on cue the old woman removed her sword from Renji's throat, only to roughly push the boy forward. "Next time speak up kiddo! I almost took your head off! Hehehehe!" She said, her voice comming out in an annoying cackle. Renji grunted as he rubbed his back thinking back on the letter he wrote Blitz before he left home, asking his new found sensei to save him from this nightmare. There was no way Renji was going to spend time living in these conditions, training to learn some lesson, that he wasn't sure of. The mage sighed as he hoped that his letter got to Blitz in time to have the man meet him on the farm. |

Blitz walked along a path into the village, reading over a letter he held in one hand, the other hand in his pocket. He didn't really need to read the letter - he'd read it several times over already, enough to memorize it - but it gave him something to do and think about as he walked. It was an invitation from his apprentice, Renji, to stay with him at a farm, where he'd be training with the old master who taught his mother - who Blitz guessed must be fairly strong if even thinking about her could give his apprentice the spooks. Renji never did mention his mother's age, though, so he could only assume this master was old enough to be a grandparent by now. He imagined an old man with a staff and a kind smile at first, but that didn't suit the image Renji tried to explain - that was more his kind of master. More likely it was some little old lady with a fiery temper and a hand that could strike so quickly that the air hissed. Sounds about right, he thought. As he walked, he heard a gunshot from farther down the path, or something that sounded alot like one. His brow furrowing, he increased his speed to a steady run, drawing one guitar with his free hand as he went - going into an unknown situation without being prepared on some level never ended well. Rounding a bend in the path around a small hill, he spied the hair of his apprentice between two old people he guessed were a couple. Since no one was pointing a gun at anyone else, the gunshot must have been a misfire, or a misunderstanding. Waving a hand in the air, he yelled, "Oy, Renji! Over here!" as he ran up to catch up with the trio. |

Aaron laughed as he turned to Renji to see the young mage breathing heavily. Aaron quirked an eyebrow at the boy watching him carefully before turning to Yama to speak. "As you can see he is quite out of shape...he seems to have forgotten life before he was a mage. So Saionji decided to send him here to train with you guys. So he will be here for a week...I will be back soon to test his-" Aaron was cut off by the sound of someone's voice calling out to Renji, the older man turned to notice Blitz's presence. Was this the man Renji was always talking about? "Ah! Blitz! You got my letter! Thank god. And here I was thinking I would have to endure this week alone. Wasn't sure if you where going to get my letter...I had to send it fast before the warden tied me up." He said pointing towards Aaron. Aaron coughed slightly as he glared at Renji, upset his nephews actions. "You called for help?! Your not getting out of this. You know your mother wouldn't stand for it." "Cool your horses! I didn't call Blitz-Sensei for saving. I wanted him to be here too. Mom has her sensei's...I have mine...I will make my own path in life..." Renji said as he crossed his arms across his chest before turning to Blitz, giving the man a smile. "Hey Sensei...glad you made it...don't know if you want to stay...I know I wouldn't stay in this dump." Before Renji could form another sentence the blunt edge of the old woman's sword was at his throat again. "Who's house you calling a dump sonny! I will have you know my handsome husband built this home himself!" She said, before wacking the mage over the head with the weapon. "I'm sure he did...I could make a house like this in a day.." As those words left his lips, Aaron face palmed before shaking his head, Renji was either too stupid, or too thick skulled to understand what he had just done. "Oh really my boy?" The old man said as he stepped forward, looking up towards Renji with a slight grin on his face. "Then do it...its about noon now, you have until sunset to build a new house...get to it." The old man said as he grabbed Aaron's arm, leading him towards the shack. "Aaron let's grab some tea, and talk, how is Saionji?" He asked as the three left Renji, and Blitz to their own devices. Renji turned to greet the older man with a smile as a sweat drop could be seen forming on his head. "Sooo I'm building a house huh?..." |

He ran up to his apprentice and his friends, who seemed a bit confused and skeptical at Blitz's appearance - apparently Renji hadn't shared his plans to invite Blitz with the whole group. His companion mistook Blitz for some kind of escape artist to get Renji home, but Renji soothed him over by explaining Blitz was just here to make things more bearable, making Blitz quirk an eyebrow. He did give Blitz the chance to bail, but he shook his head. It'd be rude to ditch after getting invited, and the only one invited. His unseemly remark about their hosts' living quarters earned them their first job - building a house by the end of the day. Thankfully, the house they had to build - assuming it was supposed to be like the two old couple's - was fairly small. "Yep, you have to build a house, and if I had to guess, now I have to build a house, too," Blitz said with a sigh. "Oy. Well, if those two want a house by sundown, we need to get working." Walking to the nearest tree, Blitz held a hand out and a scythe appeared in it with a small burst of light, Blitz grabbing it with both hands and heaving into the tree, leaving a sizable gash. Nodding, he continued swinging. |

"Sorry to drag you into this sensei...guess my mouth has a habit of getting me....and others, into trouble." Renji said with a groan as he looked around. There wasn't much wood to use to build a house, at least not much free wood, if Renji and Blitz wanted to finish the house, that would require some extra wood, and the chopping of tree's. "Yea guess we better get started, I mean how hard could it be? I've never built a house before, but it can't be too hard...Hmm sensei where going to need some more wood. Can you use your giant form to go pull us up some tree's? Ill cut them, then we use the wood to finish the house." Renji said as he began to stack the wood that was already around. "I'm kinda sad Kitty isn't here to meet you. But she has been training non-stop trying to catch up to me, I didn't know I was that far ahead of her, but it seems as if she is determined to beat me in combat...such is the life of a person like me. When your girlfriend lives to prove she is stronger then you...the house gets competitive.." Renji said, purposely leaving out the part where he constantly rubbed it in Kitty's face that he had become a lot more stronger then her. "So sensei...what have you been up too?" Renji asked as he turned to look at the man. |

"It's alright, Renji, it happens. Done it myself a couple times." Blitz said as he let the scythe fade, the weapon doing its job, certainly, but not nearly fast as Blitz wanted - not if they wanted the house built by sundown. Examining the bite his weapon had left in the oak's trunk, he said without looking at Renji, "Be careful around her, Renji, you know what she's like. Unless you want a second scar to match your first," he chided in an understanding tone. Renji was a good kid, but sometimes he caught it bad when he didn't know when to keep his victories to himself, at least around someone who could and would spite him for it. "Little old me? Well, I admit," Blitz said, pulling his goggles down over his face with one hand as he held the other out, blue light creeping along it briefly before the arm thickened and turned metal, the hand turning into a blocky base before a sword grew from it like a weed, sparks playing along the edge that was scraping the base as it shot to its length of nearly 6 feet long, and nearly 2 feet wide. "I've managed to keep myself busy." The tip of the broadsword turned into two halves, then spun, creating a buzzsaw on the end of the blade, switch Blitz swung around and bit into the tree, the blade cutting through the bark like a knife through cake, as the tree creaked and began to fall. "Timber!" he yelled as the thin thwumped into the ground. A few weaker branches cracked, being on the wrong side, but the rest were fine - they'd need to saw them off anyway. |

"You sensei? Ha! I have a hard time seeing you with a wild side so to speak, you always seem so calm, and level headed. Kitty said those are traits I could use, but what does she know, she isn't as level headed as she would like to think." Renji spoke as he used his tail to pull up his paints. The silver appendage soon returned to its hiding place within Renji's pants as the mage went on with their task. Renji hadn't realized that he had never gotten a chance to tell Blitz about his new found tail, but to be honest the mage didn't know how he got it himself, hell he didn't even know he had done a C-Rank mission, everything was a blur to him and at least a month of his life was missing, something still didn't seem right but nothing Renji could do about it. "Ah don't worry about Kitty sensei, I can handle her just fine, she knows better then to talk back, I wear the pants in that house." Renji said as he looked around, slightly afraid that Kitty was near and that she could hear him. "Just don't tell her I said that sensei. She would kill me, and if you do decided to tell her...ill take you down with me." Renji said with a grin as he watched Blitz chop down the tree's. "A guy like you keeping busy? Well shouldn't be hard, I've seen some of the people you hang with sensei. Quite the group if you ask me. I'm sure you are out on adventures all the time, to be honest I'm shocked you found the time to come here." Renji said as he watched the tree fall. He quickly took out his Lightning Edge sword, as he began to trim the tree and prepare it to be cut, assuming Blitz had an ax like weapon, if not Renji would cut it himself. "Just make sure you take it easy master. Wouldn't want you running yourself too ragged. Wouldn't have much energy to train me in that case." He said, smiling as he returned the sword to his sheath. |

Blitz laughed at Renji calling him calm. "Yes, most of the time I guess I seem calm enough, but then again, you've never seen me in a fight, and our training session didn't count, as that was controlled practice." Blitz did glance in time to see a silver thing yank Renji's pants up farther before vanishing. "Was that a tail?" he asked, perplexed. "Since when do you have a tail? I don't recall one during our spar, but then again, that was awhile ago. And you might wear the pants in the house, but as long as you have to keep pulling them up like that, expect Kitty to, ah, question your leadership a bit." he said with a hinting tone. "I had time for this," Blitz said as he moved down to the opposite end of the tree from Renji, using the sword arm to clean the tree of stray branches and nubs that had broken on impact. "Most of my adventures find me, not the other way around. Like the time I took a shortcut on Mount Hakobe and ran into a pack of Vulcans. Oy, what a mess that was. I still think they bear a grudge for me whomping their leader - that or accidentally taking a patch of his fur home as a trophy." Blitz shrugged. "Didn't intend to, really, just found the thing caught on my metal knuckle after the fight was over." "And no need for the laying back - I've got energy to spare." |

Renji laughed as Blitz talked about their training session. So he wasn't even trying? Well it was a sparring session but the fact that the man had reveled that he could cut loose even more was a let down to Renji. He wanted a challenge and now that Blitz had reveled he could have a good time in a fight, it excited the mage. Other then to Kitty, and his mother Renji had never lost a sparring battle, and since the one with Blitz was called off, he still held his head high that no one in fairy tail other then Kitty had ever beaten him. His tail swayed at the thought of a true battle with Blitz as he seemed to get off the task of building the house, but as his mind started to wonder, Blitz chimed in about his tail. Well he knew he wouldn't be able to hide it forever, and why not tell Blitz now? "Well yea I have one, but to be honest sensei....I don't know how I have a tail....I mean, to be honest, the past month or so, is a blur, I remember the Guild Master sending me on my first C-Rank mission...but I don't remember anything after that..I mean Maria seems to think there is a telaporting dog around the house, she keeps finding fur everywhere...so you can pretty much guess that I'm not that well advised on why I have a tail." Renji said with a confused look on his face, while he was sure nothing important happened over the time he was missing from his memory, considering the face Kitty wasn't there, he still felt odd over the fact he had a dog in the house. Renji didn't really like dogs, mainly because Zeke ate anything he was bigger then, there where quite a few missing pets back on the island thanks to Renji's little dragon pet. The mage smiled as he thought on his pet, he was going to have to go home to check on Zeke someday soon, maybe when he got back home, him and Kitty would go, maybe relax and clear her mind of her father dieing, and maybe Blitz, and Allen could come. His ears flinched slightly as he heard what Blitz said about Kitty. "I'm not worried about that, I broke her spirit in our last spar session, although I still can't deal with her completely, as strong as I am, she has a drive to be stronger then me, mom says we make a great couple, we push each other to be stronger....like her....and dad..." Renji seemed to drop into a slight depression at the though of his dad, he wasn't sure if he had shared things about his dad to Blitz, but even if he didn't, now seemed like as best a time as ever. "Woah Sensei! So you do know how to have fun...well what else can I expect from the man I chose to train me? I do pick the best people to surround myself with." He said as he stuck his chest out as he seemed to become prouder by the moment. "Mom always said to take a trophy of a great enemy, so you can re live the battle always....I've yet to meet an enemy like that, but when I find one...I will cherish the battle...win or lose...live or die...because that's what a true warrior lives for, the thrill of a fight, knowing that every battle could be your last...its great...." Renji suddenly looked towards Blitz as he rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry sensei...mom says I have a worse taste for battle then her, she says I get it from my dad." |

Renji seemed interested that he hadn't gone all out against Renji in their little training session outside the guild hall. Blitz resisted the urge to chuckle. If he'd gone all out, his apprentice-ship to Blitz would have been very short. He also found it odd that Renji wasn't 100% sure where he'd gotten his tail. Seems like that would be a rather memorable experience, he thought. He also seemed equally unconcerned about Kitty, but seemed down about his father, who Renji hadn't spoken much of before. "It's alright, I'm up for a fight if I find one, and search for one now and then, but that's usually when I get bored," he said as he heaved the trunk on its other side to continue slicing off branches. "I do love battle, I admit. I've also finished a new form since we last met, but it's not terribly useful for taking down trees or building a house." he said meekly, scratching his head idly. |
