Allen - Allen Nightwalker
Noel - Noel Aramis

'That's right Oz, give me you're best shot!' Allen said encouraging the transformed Oz to come at him with everything he had. 'Flame Sphere!' he shouted as he created fire balls the size of his palm throwing them in the direction of Oz who cut through them with his Eisenmeteor. Oz dashed towards Allen seining his huge blade sideways which the blonde then avoided. 'That's it for today' the flame mage declared as he watched his best friend revert back into his small form.

Both Allen and Oz decided that they needed to get stronger if they had any chance of fighting against Hibiki. At their current level none of them even stood a chance against weak D-rank mages, they had no chance in defeating Allen's brother which is why they had came to Oak town's forests away from distractions in order to get stronger. Out of breath and energy Allen sat down resting his back against a tree. It was the perfect day for training, the sun was out and it wasn't to hot either. Just the way Allen liked it.

Oz leaped onto Allen's lap rubbing his head on Allen's head trying to get comfortable. 'You did good today' the blond teen said smiling whilst rubbing his partner's green and white fur. 'You're much stronger' Oz replied after yawning. It seemed he had found a comfortable spot on Allen's lap and felt a bit tired from the training. And who could blame him. The two were out training in the forest for days. They deserved a long break from time to time.

'Good night Oz' Allen whispered into Oz's ears still stroking his fur before closing his eyes and drifting asleep against the tree had had previously been resting on.

Noel felt kind of lost. It had been quite a while since he travelled through the lands of Southern Fiore, the last time being when he'd gone to Oak Town to check the ruins of the old Phantom Lord guild building, which later on resulted in him running into Sion Ciladion, the young Insanity mage that Noel had gone through quite a few adventures with, but.. that was just another story. At that time, the boy knew exactly where he was going, because Oak Town happened to be one of the biggest towns in this part of the kingdom, so all he really had to do, was follow the railway until he reached his destination. Not to mention last time Buster had gone with him to point him in the right direction whenever he was about to take the wrong turn.

"Gwaa.. Where's that owl, when you need it.." the young brown-haired boy muttered quietly to himself as he walked through the forest, his head lowered a bit and a slightly sad expression crossing his face. "I'm never gonna find my way home like this..." he sighed, stopping for a moment and closing his eyes in frustration. Bringing his hands up to his face, Noel buried his face in them and let out a quiet groan. "Ughh.. How did I even end up here..?!" he finally exclaimed out to himself, as if there would be someone who could answer his question.

In truth, he'd been returning from a nearby town on the other side of the forest. Since that town was small enough not to have its own railway station, the boy was bound to walk back to Oak Town. After having talked to a few people in the neighbourhood, Noel had learned Oak Town wasn't all that far away; all he had to do, was cross the forest dividing the two towns apart, and he'd get there! Except the people had said it'd take him about twenty minutes to get there, and it's been nearly an hour since he'd left that place, and he was still unable to see the end of the forest, no matter which direction he looked in.

Shaking his head slowly in disbelief at his own bad luck, Noel continued walking down the main path through the forest. "This is just.. unbelievable..! They said I only had to go straight ahead..!" he blurted, glancing over his shoulder in the direction he'd come from, as if he'd be able to see the entrance of the forest. Of course, there was nothing but trees. "And they said twenty mi-... Aaaahh!!" Having looked backwards while talking to himself, Noel didn't notice a young blonde with a wolf cub in his lap, leaned against one of the nearby trees. His foot bumping against the boy, Noel let out a yelp, as he tripped over him, hitting the floor hard with his arms sprawled out to cushion his fall.

"Owwie...." he yelped quietly, bringing one of his hands up to the back of his head, rubbing the painful spot, while he closed one of his eyes in pain.

The fire mage's eyes were tightly closed as both he and his partner slept peacefully. Allen had been dreaming about his older brother Hibiki and how the two used to spend time together. He dreamt about the first time he used his magic and how Hibiki had scolded him about how dangerous fire could be despite being a strong fire mage himself. Still, the time the two spent together was priceless and no one could ever take that away. Another scene of Allen's past appeared in the boy's mind. This time the two were out in the mountains in which the two were camping. His once caring and loving brother had burned everything down with his rainbow flames. Allen was woken by a force he had felt on the side of his leg.

He immediately opened his eyes raising his once rested head off of the tree and looked around. 'What is it Al? Oz asked curiously as he was also woken by the force that Allen had felt on his leg. 'Its nothing Oz, just rest' he replied closing his wolf companion's eye lids. Allen looked to the side noticing a brown haired boy in pain. He was sure that he was the only person occupying the forest along with Oz. Was he asleep for that long and was he that tired that he didn't even notice someone walk past him.

'I didn't trip you during my sleep did I?' the blonde haired boy asked the boy as he got up from his comfortable seat to check if he was okay. Although Allen was fairly new to this place he was almost certain this forest didn't get much visitors. Was he a stalker? A mercenary out to kill him or perhaps an animal lover who wanted to kidnap Oz whilst Allen was tired. None of that didn't matter now he just needed to make sure the boy was okay.

'Your not hurt are ya? Oz asked dashing over to the boy's side to see how he was doing. He started rubbing his fur onto him and seemed to take a liking to him despite just seeing him. Oz was very friendly to everyone and was also very playful but the way he acted towards the boy seemed like he had none him for quite a while. Allen then gave his wolf a look which meant 'Don't get to close to him, we don't know anything about him.'

Rubbing the back of his head in pain, Noel hadn't even noticed who or what he'd tripped over until he heard the first words from the pair. Quickly turning around on his back, so that he was now sitting on his butt, the brown-haired boy's eyes widened a bit when he noticed another boy leaned against the tree he'd earlier tried to walk past. Instinctively, he pushed himself backwards further away from him while still on his all fours, then tried to somehow stand up, but the cruel fate had wanted for a root sticking out of the ground right at the spot Noel had tried to step on to secure his balance.. And 'BAM!', he'd crashed back on the ground, his eyes closing tightly in pain once again as the painful sting travelled from the point of impact on his butt, up through his spine into his brains.

He wanted to yelp in pain, but since he didn't want to appear like a weakling in front of the other boy he'd only just literally ran into (though his clumsiness didn't help), he suppressed it by biting on his lower lip. That resulted in his eyes watering a little bit, which was in a way even worse, so he quickly moved his arm up to his face to wipe the wetness from the corners of his eyes with his sleeve. After he removed his arm from his face, a bit of redness across his eyes could still be seen, so it was fairly obvious that the pain had caused a tear or two to appear out of Noel's eyes, but there was nothing Noel could do about it at this point.

The blonde's concerned question made Noel look up towards him, the look on his face shy and sheepish, like that of a hunted deer running before a hunter. "N-No.. I-It's my fault for not w-watching where I was g-going.." he stuttered, a soft blush crossing his cheeks for a single moment, and then he already looked away, unable to maintain the eye contact with the other boy for too long. He finally let out that yelp that he'd been trying to suppress, when something soft jumped into his lap, nuzzling against him, and his quiet gasp quickly evolved into an expression of surprise, softening when he saw the cute fur-ball rubbing against him.

"W-Wow, it's a cute wolfy..!" he exclaimed out, reaching out tentatively and petting the soft fur on the top of the wolf's head, then almost got a heart attack when the said wolf cub suddenly spoke. "Y-You can t-talk..!" he exclaimed the obvious in sudden surprise, looking down at the magical animal sitting comfortably in his lap. He was still stroking his fur absent-mindedly, while he replied after having finally calmed down from the unexpected surprise a few moments later: "N-Naw, I'm not hurt.. It stings a bit, but.. I should be okay.." His voice was timid and shy as he spoke, yet it had that melodic sound to it, that just made you want to listen to it for some reason.

"I'm.. uh.. I'm sorry, again," he apologized, glancing from Oz towards Allen now. He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment as he spoke. "I really didn't mean to.. well, I was walking forwards and looking backwards, and.. yeah, err.." he trailed off, his cheeks getting redder and redder as he spoke, until he had to stop and take a small breath. Maybe it would've been easier if the wolfy, and his master hadn't been so damn cute. "Well, umm.. I'm Noel.. Noel Aramis.." he finally said, having remembered that politeness was always the best to start with when meeting another person..

.. especially after having made fool of himself already, like he had with his clumsiness.

Allen fault sorry for the boy, he had taken a hard drop to the ground twice. The first may have been Allen's fault but a second time was just plain bad luck. Allen watched Oz get friendly with the boy he must've felt sorry for the poor guy but was really over friendly in his small form and would even act really friendly around strangers. He'd need to tell Oz to calm down a little from time to time one day. It'd be for his own good. The flame mage watched the brown haired boy stutter as he told Allen it wasn't his fault. It seemed like he was forcing the words out of his mouth and looked really embarrased.

Allen took his finger and wiped a tear from the boy's cheeks, a tear he had most likely missed as he wiped his eyes trying to disguise his pain from the duo. He looked roundabout Allen's age and despite being a boy he was quite cute. One thing confused the flame mage though and that was the fact that the brown haired boy was wearing a scarf. It was neither hot nor cold and there was no need to wear one. Allen's question was answered as he thought about the fact that he could've been hiding a scar on his neck much like the one of Allen's chest. The blone haired boy wiped another tear off of the kid's cheeks at this point he didn't know whether his cheeks were red due to the pain he felt or if he was just blushing.

'Yep, I can talk' Oz replied to Noel's amazement. From his reaction it was safe to say he had never seen a talking wolf before or a talking animal for that matter and Allen couldn't blame him. He acted the same way the first time he met Oz in one of the caves in Lavender Forest. Allen smiled as he heard Noel describe Oz as cute. He certainly was, he was atleast until he changed into his battle form. 'You don't look okay' Oz said. He could tell Noel was still in pain from falling down twice. He stood up on the boy's lap licking his cheeks in a friendly manner before returning to Allen's side.

'No need to apologise, it was my fault for sleeping in such a weird place' he laughed scratching the back of his head. He felt guilty for what had happened to Noel and didn't mean to cause anyone pain. But the question as to why he was in the forest in the first place still remained although Noel was probably thinking the same thing. Still the boy looked innocentally cute whilst tears came out of his eyes and as he apologised.

'I'm Allen Nightwalker and this here is my buddy Oz Nighthound but you can just call him Oz' the blonde haired boy chuckled as Oz leaped up onto his shoulders. 'It's nice to meet you Noel' the wolf said in his usually happy voice. He was probably excited that he had a new friend and play mate. Allen put out his hand and felt guilty for what had happened so the least he could do was help the boy up.

It appeared there was no need to be afraid of the other boy and his cute animal companion, as both of them seemed to be really friendly. That was something Noel would've noticed even without his Mind powers, especially after Allen had leaned forwards to wipe a tear off Noel's cheek, where he'd missed it earlier when he had tried to do it with the back of his sleeve. His courtesy didn't help to remove that blush on Noel's cheeks, that had gotten even more apparent when the blonde boy wiped another tear off his face. "T-Thanks.." he stuttered shyly, smiling at the other boy, who was trying so hard to help, as if he was feeling at least a little bit guilty for Noel tripping earlier - even though it was clearly Noel's fault for not watching where he was going.

Even though he could tell that the other kid, who appeared to be around his age, maybe a year older, tried to be really nice and helpful even though he was practically just another stranger on the road, Noel was still feeling a little stiff, almost petrified. Maybe some of it was because of his otherwise timid nature whenever he met another person he didn't know, but the great portion of the reason for him being unable to relax right away had probably been the embarrassing situation he'd put himself in earlier when he fell over the other boy. And now, that same boy had wiped a tear off his face, something that Noel had really hoped he wouldn't have noticed, and yet the small droplets didn't escape Allen's eyes. Just thinking about it made his blush deepen with embarrassment - just what was the other boy going to think about him? He really did look like a crybaby..

It was thanks to Oz's affectionate lick across Noel's face that made the young Mind mage loosen up a little bit, letting out a melodic giggle when the rough tongue slid over his cheek, tickling him. "Ha.. hahah.. That tickles, Oz.. Hahah..!" he let out, leaning backwards and bit and ruffling the soft fur on the top of the wolf's head playfully, before watching the chibi wolf jump off his lap and return back to his human companion. He couldn't help but crack a small smile; Oz's kindness had really put him in a good mood. Bringing his hand up to his neck, Noel pulled his white scarf a bit higher up, then glanced up from the wolf, now really setting his eyes on the other boy for the first time.

Earlier, he'd only been glancing at him, too shy to really maintain an eye-contact with the blonde, but now that he'd relaxed a little bit, he was looking at him, his eyes travelling across Allen's face and body almost shamelessly, like a curious kid inspecting a present he'd just gotten. His eyes lingering on Allen's semi-long blonde hair for a moment, they travelled across his cute face, stopping on his striking eyes for a second, before they glanced down at his well-built body. He seemed to be more on the skinny side, yet not too thin, his figure being kind of similar to Noel's own. He was probably working out as well, to keep himself in shape, not that he would be able to tell for sure, though, because of the clothes he was wearing.

"Well, umm.. Nice to meet you, Allen, Oz," Noel said kindly, the smile on his face growing a bit wider now as he looked from the boy to the wolf and back again. Then, he suddenly remembered the pinch he was in before he'd ran into both of them. A hopeful expression crossed his face. "That's right.. Umm.. I've kinda, well.. gotten lost," he said embarrassedly, looking down at the floor. "I was hoping.. maybe you'd know where I need to go to reach Oak Town..?" he asked hopefully, looking up at him.

Allen watched as Noel's face turned even more red than before. His attempts to hide his embarrassment was quite but didn't work our so well as Allen was able to see the faint tears that he had previously wiped away. For some strange reason he was able to gain much more confidence after Oz had liked him which made sense. It probably gave Noel the chance to open up and relax a bit more. The blonde had noticed that Noel had taken a liking to the small wolf just how Oz had taken a liking to him. Allen smiled thanks to Oz's behaviour Noel seemed to have cheered up making him feel less guilty for what had happened.

Perhaps he should let Oz get friendly with strangers once in a while, he did bring out the best in people. After all it was his partner that was finally able to convince him to forgive himself for what had happened over seven years ago. Allen looked down at the 'X' shaped scar on his exposed chest whilst reminiscing about the events that had occurred that day. The blondes facial expression changed a little to a more serious once. The past was the past and there was no use thinking about it now. He had Oz now and that was all that mattered to him.

The smile on his face returned as his wolf companion began wagging his tail out of shear joy. He leapt off of Allen's shoulder landing on Noel's lap once more. 'I wonder what he'd think if he saw Oz transform' he wondered. Noel didn't seem like the kind of guy who'd judge a person on looks alone but most people would be surprised in seeing Oz's other state and perhaps Noel was one of them. On one side Oz was cute, playful, cheerful and small whilst on the other side he was fierce, heroic, noble and tall not to mention he carried a sword around with him... well more than one sword that is. Allen almost forgot Oz's magic was quite different to others.

The flame mage noticed that he was being scanned throughly from head to toe by the brown haired boy which reminded him. He had yet to take a good look at his new acquitance. Noel had brown spiky hair with blonde streaks which didn't seem to go past his shoulders. He had quite a tanned complexion which went well with his hair and eyes. Whilst Allen's body was more exposed Noel's was more covered up although he was wearing shorts with an orange t-shirt and a white scarf which was a weird combination of clothing but Allen couldn't really talk as his clothes were classified as weird too. Noel's clothing however did dismiss the fact that he may have been a mage and made him look like an average boy around Allen's age.

'I'm sorry but Oz and I are pretty new to the area areselves so we wouldn't know exactly how to get to Oak Town' he replied as Noel told them about his current situation. He felt sorry for Noel but he couldn't do anything to help him out this time. 'Come on Oz' Allen said walking off away from Noel, he had spent quite sometime in the forest and needed to go into town to get something to eat. 'Lets take Noel-nii with us' the wolf said in response to the blonde once again licking Noel's cheeks. Allen turned around giving Oz a look which meant 'let's go, the boy will be fine by himself'.

Noel lowered his head at Allen's reply. He had really hoped that the other boy would be able to help him by telling him where he needed to go to reach his destination. One would have thought getting out a simple, small forest like this one, would be a piece of cake, but again Noel had overestimated his navigation skills, and gotten lost.. again. It really seemed like he couldn't get anywhere without Buster, which was even more so annoying, because he really didn't like to depend on his snowy-white owl companion. And yet, after having gotten lost once again, the young brown-haired mage was reminded that his pet was indeed his partner, that helped him out whenever he was in a pinch, going with him through good and bad times alike.

Much like Allen and Oz. The strong connection between the pair hadn't escaped the young mage's mind, as he observed the two. An affectionate touch, a kind word, playful smiles and the care that both of them felt for one another was something he could immediately tell after being around them for a few minutes. A connection like that, so pure and strong, brought a smile upon Noel's face. His own tie to Buster was similar, yet different in a way, for even though the two cared for each other, they would never truly express their care through kind words, but rather constant bickering at each other that actually held care behind it, as neither of them had the guts to admit it openly to the other.

When Oz came over and jumped into Noel's lap once again, Noel ran his fingers through the small wolf's soft fur, rubbing him behind his ears where he reckoned he'd like it. For some reason, he'd taken a liking to Oz from the moment he'd seen him, and felt like he could hold him close on his lap for hours, feeling his soft fur that smelled of the forest surrounding them, a neat, fresh smell that filled Noel's nostrils and made him sigh with content. He was almost a bit sad when Allen finally stood up and started to walk away in the direction Noel had been going in earlier, telling Oz to follow him.

The wolf cub didn't seem to like the idea of going just yet, either. When he stood up on his lap to lick across his cheek for the last time before having to go, the young wolf finally asked his companion if it was okay for Noel to go with them, but Allen's glance seemed to have made him dismiss that idea, though he still hadn't gotten off Noel to follow him just yet. Noel felt a little bit sad at that; his fingers found Oz's head and he patted him gently, and was about to let him go, when he realized that he wasn't going to be fine if he stayed here alone. No, he'd gotten lost once already, and after running into Allen, his hope of getting to Oak Town had increased again.

But if he let the boy leave here, then.. who knows how long it'd take him to find his way out of here. He held his hand up a little bit, to stop Allen from walking away. "W-Wait.. Allen..!" he called out, trying to get up on his feet, which would require for Oz to jump off his lap back down onto the floor. "I, uh.. I really don't know where I gotta go to reach Oak Town.. I don't want to get lost here once again.. Do you mind if I stick around a little bit longer, at least until we get out of this forest..?" he asked, his brown eyes pleading the other boy to let him join them for now.

ON HOLD! (until Allen returns, since I need the slot)
