Things only got more confusing as Reria went through a series of mood swings, including rage, sorrow, irriation, and others. He didn't get the bit about angels, but he remembered her seeing two ladies she thought were angels. The pirate - who was not indeed related to Reria, despite his long-winded heritage title - was angry as well for "ruining her innocence" - something he figured a 12 year old would have lost ages ago as it was. Blitz sighed. This mission was turning into a chore. "Fine, sorry." he hopped in back as the caravan took off.

(OOC: I know NPCing a 12 year old girl isn't ideal, but please at least TRY to stay in character. She wouldn't just morph from innocent girl to snobby brat in one post)

OOC: I was trying to go for the 'you ruined christmas by saying santa doesn't exist approach', but meh.

The caravan took off rather quickly, the camels letting out whatever sound camels made and moving along the thin desert path, slowly escaping the city. Pete eyed up Blitz on the way, his eyes shooting daggers at him the whole time whilst they were sat there. In fact, Pete was a rather questionable man. He had no relation to Reria whatsoever, yet for some reason was still tagging along and she knew him, and called him Uncle, which was rather weird. A smart person would likely pick up on this and question him, but the fact that she was sat next to Pete, who looked really dangerous and likely was just increased the risk that he'd gut her if Blitz tried anything. He would have to keep an eye on him. Eventually, Pete looked away from Blitz and lit a cigar, smoking it softly, the smoke flying around the carriage of the caravan, a strong scent would crawl up everybody's nostrils. Reria didn't seem to mind, but somebody would probably say something about it.

Then something odd happened. The caravan went off track and a loud sobbing could be heard, it suddenly became a very bumpy ride, Pete dropped his cigar and screamed like a bitch, stamping it out before he burnt the carriage down, suddenly, Reria was flung out, and with a loud screech was just about to fall off! Blitz would have to react quickly in order to catch her, but could he make it? Probably. In fact, actually he could, he just had to pay enough attention and do his job.

"Help!" She screamed!

"Yarr! I'll fix what's going on here, matey!" Pete then climbed out and scaled the side of the caravan, reaching the front and tried to see what was going on. Then, the Caravan stopped. This was going to be one hell of a journey.

As Blitz sat in the back of the caravan, he glanced up front now and then - his job was to keep her safe while she found his family, after all. Pete didn't seem any more friendly than before, and he didn't think that would change anytime soon, the way things were going. Either way, he could put up with a sourpuss for one mission. Though it didn't help when the smell of smoke wafted back into the back of the caravan, making Blitz's nose wrinkle in annoyance. He detested smokers, but never said anything to someone smoking - if he scolded every smoker he met, he'd be scolding people the rest of his life. Too many smokers nowadays, he thought with a shake of his head.

Any further thought was interrupted by the caravan shaking. Blitz got up and made his way to the front as he heard a curse and was shook forward himself, arms windmilling briefly as he caught himself on the front of the caravan. He also noticed someone who hadn't - Reria! The end of his sash shot out, zooming after the girl and wrapping once around the girl's waist, arresting her fall gently and lifting her up to set her back onto the caravan bench. "What happened?" he asked "Uncle" Pete.

Sorry for not replying earlier. Wednesdays are a hectic day for me.

Although Reria was safe, but shaken up and sobbing softly, holding on for dear life, the caravan still hadn't stopped shaking, Blitz would have to be wary of the fact that the small girl could be thrown off at any time, considering she was just a small girl, she couldn't have been very strong. A small ruckus was heard at the front of the caravan, and it slowly came to a halt, ending with Reria hugging onto Blitz for dear life, and the sound of sobbing from the front. The sobbing then escalated to a loud scream in which tears flowed out of the caravan driver's eyes, unable to collect himself. Pete patting his back he just let the old goat cry and waited until he calmed down.

"Yarr, what be wrong, matey?" Pete asked the carriage driver, though no hint of true concern was in his voice.

"Oh god!" The carriage driver screamed, crying even harder, Pete poked his head through the front and into the back, looking at the two.

"I'll just be a second." Then he popped back. "So what's wrong, mate?"

"It's just....my wife drank an exploding smoothie the other week...and I still haven't gotten over it..."

Pete popped his head back in.

"yarr, I be not the sympathetic type, can ye try to console this guy?" Pete asked Blitz, Pete not exactly being the most sympathetic person in the world. Pete then crawled around and sat opposite Reria, lighting another cigar and smoking on it, also taking out a bottle of whiskey.

"Oh, want some lass?"

All Reria did was raise and eyebrow.

The driver of the carriage seemed to be in a rather sensitive state about something his wife had the other week - something about a combustible ice cream drink - but he seemed too distraught to continue driving. Blitz had seen this kinda thing before - the emotion had frozen the soul and body alike. As Blitz gently disentangled Reria from his jacket, "Uncle" Pete climbed in back and lit up a cigarette and popped open a bottle of whiskey, he offered the girl some. "She's a minor.....so make sure she gets a crazy straw." He headed for the front, pausing to say, "And I'm joking, please don't give the twelve-year-old girl alcohol." Hopping up and sitting next to the driver, he patted him on the back somewhat awkwardly. "It's alright, it'll smooth itself over eventually - time heals tons of wounds." Blitz knew that time wasn't a magical cure all - or a fast one - but it did help with most.

(OOC: When I saw the smoothie bit, my first thought was "oh ffs" xD)

The driver sobbed softly as Blitz conversed with Pete, he wondered if he could get the camel to eat his head by spraying it in something camels ate, though he was a camel driver he only did short trips like this one, hence, he didn't know what you fed camels. This was an oddity, and unknown to Blitz, and likely known to Pete he was known as the Camel Killer Fiore, known throughout for his cruelty and abuse to camels, though unintentionally. He looked at Blitz when he climbed into the front and raised an eyebrow, though tears were still flowing down out of his tear ducts and off onto his cheeks. The first thought that went through the driver's head was 'I better not let the camels get a view because they'll be spooked'. The camel driver tried to dry his eyes, but the tears just wouldn't stop flowing, he was half tempted to hug Blitz for a sign of comfort or something, but he looked ridiculous and creepy with that hat on, so he merely left him alone. Blitz then said something he would regret. The cabin driver turned his head slowly, his eyes engulfed with pure rage. He muttered something but it was too quiet for Blitz to hear, but it got progressively got louder.

"Smooth...Smooth...SMOOTH? SMOOOOOTHHH?!" The cabin driver roared, his scream could be compared to that of an adult wyvren, which was actually really loud, it spooked the camels and they suddenly shot off, but the driver gripped the wooden seat, whipped out a flipblade and pointed it at Blitz's throat. Not good at all.

"You making fun of me? You think I can just SMOOTH this over! You insensitive asshole!" It seemed Blitz has stupidly used a piece of vocabulary that was actually rather insulting to the man, plus the ride was bumpy again and the camels were running off, straying further from the desert path. If they lose the path, that was it, it would be very difficult to get back, he had to stop this, and now.

The driver seemed to take offense at Blitz's choice of words - that he had to admit, weren't anything close to something that should set him off, but he seemed to be in a fragile state. His pity for the man wavered, however, when the fool let the camels run off the path and into the desert, and pulled a blade on Blitz. Blitz sighed. He always got stuck with the stubborn fools. "First off, if you're only keeping a blade around for self-defense, don't use a flip-blade - the extra motion needed to open it only gives the other person an opening. And secondly," Blitz said, letting two fingers on his right hand turn metal and placing them on either side of the blade, twisting them over one another so that the blade bent until it had a 180 bend in the middle, then let the metallic coat fade. "And thirdly, you can't just go through life flipping out every time someone mentions a cold ice cream drink. You'll never stop shaking, for one. So get the camels back on the path and think about how you should act about this situation - you're an adult, aren't you?"

The driver's eyes widened, as the blade was turned all of the way around, and well, rendered totally useless. His hand shaking he suddenly dropped the blade, it fell under the carriage was then lost in the sands of the desert. The camels galloped furiously, it would be more difficult to get them under control now! He was slowly starting to have a mental breakdown, still obviously traumatised by the death of his beautiful wife. He had many flashbacks, imagining his wife giving their son Emanuel cookies, remembering how they used to take long walks on the beach and proclaim their love for each other. Yet, most importantly, he remembered watching her drink that smoothie, and watching as she blew up. Then, he had to clean it up by himself. He was truly scarred and traumatised. He started crying more loudly, the camels bolting forward more quickly, but with what Blitz said, he grabbed the reins and looked forward, his new found nakama had given him strength! He quickly turned and moved back on course. He moved back onto the path and was galloping at a rate like no other.

"Fine! I'll look forward! To the future! I'll make it as...as..." He suddenly gulped and nodded. "I'LL MAKE IT AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE!"

Meanwhile, Reria could only hold on in shock as Pete had passed out drunk, tieing his foot to a part of the cabin to make sure he wouldn't fall off. She tried to shake him awake, but nothing seemed to work. The empty scotch bottle had long since flown off and became lost in the sands of the desert, but, in the corner of the room, a lit cigar was slowly starting a small flame within the caravan. Reria, too focused on her...totally unrelated friend or something, was unable to notice what was going on. This could be a total disaster.

The blade got lost in the sands of the desert when the driver dropped it, but he did manage to get ahold of himself and get the carriage back on course. Blitz ducked back into the main part of the caravan to see Uncle Pete asleep, his whiskey bottle missing.....and his cigar starting a small fire in the corner of the caravan's wooden frame. Cursing the old man's foolishness and drinking habits, he ran to the side of the caravan and leaned down, piling sand in both hands. Leaning back into the caravan, he dumped the sand all over the fire, snuffing it out with a hiss as small puffs of smoke vanished into the air.

Dusting his hands off outside the caravan walls, he glanced at Pete with a mild glare before shaking his head. At least they were back on course now.

With the fire snuffed, they could move on safely, Reria letting out a sigh of relief. The caravan too was very stable, and Reria moved onto the floor, sitting on her knees, she tried to shake Pete awake, but then she had an idea, a sort of bright idea. It was to get back at him for trying to give her alcohol, nearly setting the whole thing up in flames, and most importantly throwing her on the ground. She was actually pretty pissed, this wasn't the uncle Pete she knew, he was more obnoxious and rude, not the loving barely related man she once knew. It was time to dump him out of this ride, mainly because she was pissed at him, she looked up at Blitz and smiled, as if she had some sort of request, then closed her eyes, grinned and nodded. She stood up and shovelled some of the sand in her hand, kneeling next to Pete's head, snickering evily. He had been so rude and so mean today that he actually deserved it. She ushered Blitz over with her head, as if to signal come here.

"Hey, Blitz, hold his nose." She paused for a minute. "Mr Driver! Speed up just a little please"

"Can do! Ma'am!" The driver replied. The moment the car sped up, Reria nodded at Blitz, and if he held Pete's nose closed, she would dump the sand into his mouth, quickly move to the rope and untie it, and would laugh as he was flung off of the back of the cart drunkenly.

"Sorry, he was just being a bit too rude!" Reria said, smiling and sitting back down again. She knew for sure Pete would catch up. Would Blitz choose to catch Pete, or just let him fly off? Either way, it didn't really matter because he was a douche and Reria didn't seem to actually want him with her. It was all up to Blitz to make the decision now.
