From the center of the city, mages converged, ignoring anything en route that happened. Powerful mages. Mages who could decide the outcome of this event here and now, be it with combat or words. "This has carried on for far too long, don't you think?" a tall man in a Raven Tail cloak said from within a hood, his voice deep and authoritative as he stood next to a very small girl-child and faced a pair of twin men, about 20 or so and who were both looking sour, "We have won here and it would only be delaying the inevitable if we continued onwards." "What are your demands?" one of the Tartaros twins said. "What do you want from us?" the other finished. "We just want you guys to stop attacking us so we can all be friends again!" the girl-child giggled happily, "We should all be allied again and not attack each other, don't you think?" There was silence following this, a silence that was weighed by the twins sharing a glance. "Done." the first twin said, his brother nodding, "All hostilities between Raven Tail and Tartaros shall henceforth be ceceded I trust?" "Of course," the hooded man said, "We shall order our groups to retreat then. If we are to be allies once more then we can hardly kill each other. However one of our agents is missing and I'm afraid she's more than a little... unwieldy, so until she is found we can't really retreat. We shall, however, remain here for the time being." The brothers nodded and sent out a message, a powerful telepathic message to all people within the city. They told the people to find the missing Raven Tail Mage, a tall female with powerful magic and, as soon as she was located, this mindless siege would be over finally... Now where had she gone? |

"Speaking of skilled knights... where's Aiden? I thought he was with you?" "He's busy," A gruff voice said, from behind Kazuya, resonating with grit before continuing. "Trying out his Batman impression." How the hell a fictional character knows who or what Batman is is beyond me, but also slightly irrelevant. In any case, Aiden had actually popped up behind Kazuya. Though, it was quite the mystery how he managed to sneak up on him without being particularly loud. You'd figure someone in his gear would be all clank, clank, clankity, god-damn-freakin' clank! right then and there. However, through sheer force of will or perhaps plot hax, he managed to do so. "I dunno, where is that guy?" Aiden sarcastically added with a slightly wry smile across his features. "Next time, I'll be even more useless. By that, I mean next time there's a crisis I'll just pick my nose for an hour instead of knocking about thirty-or-so people unconscious. Speaking of which, I'm gonna be over there, being useless." The whole thing was said with a vague smirk, though he was obviously sarcastic, if not outright apathetic about the whole tirade. Although, he actually did head off to do some stuff. The stuff-type of stuff. You should try it some time. |

Oberon quickly picked up his pace as he made his way to the center of the city with Blitz most likely nearby as well. It was then that he heard the mage grunting before being promptly thrown into a nearby wall. He shuddered as he saw how his temporary companion so easily took out his opponents with his dominating force. Oberon turned again and started slogging through the water to the center of the city. When he finally made it (after grabbing a burger of course) he looked on in tension that not even a cheeseburger could calm! The events unfolded rather anti-climatically for his taste, the burger was to soggy. He growled and threw it back behind him somewhere before returning his attention back to the group in front of him. Aww hell no! Oberon was slightly shocked that these two factions were opting for peace instead of duking it out and trying to destroy each otger through their overpowered magic which would most likely turn this place into nothing when it clashed. Peace!? Oberon had to be honest with himself about this, peace was total bullshit. The moment you turn your back on someone they will kill you in various ways that are to annoying and long to explain involving toilet plungers. Still though he was tired and he was pretty damn sure that the sewers had flooded thus the strang smell on his pants. "Whatever, itll keep me busy i guess" he said before turning around back the way he had come, "Yo lady! Here girlie girlie girlie!" he called out as he tried to fibd this mysterious person although it might just get him killed.... |

As Blitz slogged through the waters of the flooded city, he felt a mental presence in the back of his head, announcing itself as a Raven Tail mage. He was ready to strike out at any nearby Raven Tail mages, only to hear that they'd make amends - surprising considering the extent of the damage to both sides and the city at this point, he thought with a dubious eyebrow raised. "I'm amazed that they could keep quiet in each other's presence long enough to agree - or talk - about anything." said a perplexed Shoop from atop his head. "No kidding." added Blitz. He did hear the bit about rounding up the last Raven Tail mage, however, so he scrambled up the side of the nearest fire escape - feeling a distinct sense of deja vu - and onto the rooftop, running around it and glancing down for signs of the last Raven Tail mage, leaping to the next roof at the end of each one, making his way towards the north-east corner - he was in the southeast already, and the mage who'd been defeated was male, so it couldn't be the one he saw. Blitz figured she must be in another corner of the city. |

Therius made a good point on what to do. Getting to higher ground would help them scout out for more potential danger as it did in this case. It was nice that someone over here was able to come up with a decent plan. Of course she never expected much out of Kazuya anyway. The pervert overlord would be too busy having fathers beg so that he would leave their daughters and wives alone as well as have his perverse way with many of the young woman in Coreopsis. Alexis shook her head in shame at how distastefully Kazuya conducted himself. Honestly such actions weren't appropriate for a knight. Above all else he... he... eats sprinkles on his ice cream. Alexis nearly vomited from thinking the those vile thoughts. Thankfully Alexis was saved from having to continue these awful thoughts becase out of no where a rabid Big Bird came at the three of them like no one's business. At first the bird promptly made its way into Kazuya's hair and nestled into it. That made perfect sense. It would only be a rodents natural habitat to take refuge inside the most nappy hair in the area, and Kazuya won by far. Again Alexis shuddered as she thought about the other creatures that resided inside Kazuya's hair. Truly, truly, truly outrageous. Well as long as it stays in Kazuya's hair I guess it's alright. Alexis wasn't too big on birds, at least not random ones that she had never seen before coming out and making their home in nappy hair. However, Kazuya's retched scalp wouldn't have the bird for long. Not even a few moments after sitting in Kazuya's hair the bird apparently spied something much cooler and more interesting then his hair. In an instant the bird leaped over and went for the necklace on Alexis' neck. Now Alexis didn't really think about the fact that the necklace around her neck was reflective and shiny and that those qualities may have attracted the small animal, but instead thought that the bird was blood thirsty and was going for her jugular. Its beak open and razor sharp, Alexis almost came at the bird with the front side of her hand, but luckily for the bird it was fast enough to get to the necklace first. Once Alexis say the little yellow birdie try to fly off with her turtle pendent in its mouth even she had to admit it was kinda cute. The way it struggled to make off with the charm, but was held back by the chain was too precious and she found herself with a smile on her face. "Aww come on Alexis, let him have it, how can you say no to those beady little eyes?" The answer to that was very simple. This necklace was cute and cost a bit of money for all that it did and she wouldn't just let some bird come and take it off her, no matter how cute it was at trying to get it. Before she could explain this very simple logic to Kazuya a pink haired woman came walking over to them and Therius asked what was on both of their minds. Kazuya, quite rudely, took the liberty to inform them of who she was. Ecclair Farron Bellum was evidently one of the most skilled knights Fiore has. Alexis didn't recognize the appearance, but the name came through loud and clear. Instantly she remembered some of the gossip that she and her friends had picked up on the academy about the pink-haired knight. Nothing too juicy really, mainly just about some of the more dangerous assignments which was pretty inciting, but nothing really past that. Then came the part where Alexis realized that Aiden wasn't with Ecclair. Now he could have been at a dango shop enjoying a snack or he could have been out and about dealing with dark mages, but most likely he was going to creep up and troll Kazuya. Somehow, someway, no one heard the knight in full metal armor make his way up, right behind Kazuya and proceed to, rather sarcastically, point out his own uselessness. Of course Kazuya would be tactless enough to just carelessly hurt other people's feelings. He knows what a sensitive teddy bear Aiden is, he can't handle this kind of emotional damage. Honestly Alexis had half a mind to just give Kazuya a slap across the face, this time for a legit reason. She shot a glare over to Kazuya before extending her hand out to Ecclair. "Hey, I'm Alexis Day, also a knight. I'm pretty sure it's the first time we've met, though I've heard a bit about you." |

Ecclair was used to seeing the little ball of yellow fluff that was Kishu getting excited over something shiny and so when he burst into an almost berserker like state of said excitement the knight wasn’t shocked, seemed the little bird had taken a liking to the necklace that the female was wearing and where most would have face palmed at the sight of the small bird struggling against the chain of the jewellery Ecclair was pretty used to that sight as well. Kishu was a weak little guy physically but he had some nifty attributes that made up for that short coming, the question was how much did he want that necklace? Enough to use those attributes to get it? Well time would tell and so removing her gaze from her pet the pink haired knight focused her aqua eyes on the second new face she was to meet, the blonde man seemed like he could take care of himself physically at least and he seemed to have the fighting spirit glinting behind his eyes but she doubted he was anywhere near the level of Aiden or (not gloating) herself. As long as he wasn’t going to be a hindrance to her allies or a liability then she didn’t care that he was hanging around, well if he didn’t talk much anyway. Only Kazuya would take control of the words Ecclair would say, she wasn’t surprised by the fact that her introduction was being spoken from his lips however after all he had done much the same thing before. Very well if he wanted to waste his breath introducing her then so be it, she wasn’t going to stop him since she wasn’t really in the mood to do it herself to be frank. As Aiden answered the question asked of her Ecclair began to wonder if she would ever have to speak with her current company around, it sure seemed like they were doing a good enough job for her and themselves so far. “We’re already up to our ankles in water Aiden, we don’t need your crocodile tears here”, a rather rude statement? Perhaps, but she didn’t need Aiden to go around whining about crushed feelings (especially when it was something so trivial). Hmm now who was talking to her? Ah, the female was talking to her this time and it seemed that Kishu still hadn’t given up on her acquiring her necklace pendant. Now Ecclair wasn’t meaning to be rude to her fellow knight but she also wasn’t one to like having her head messed with, what am I talking about? Why the message that was sent through her mind about finding a missing mage immediately of course, the message flashed through the knight’s mind and rather frustrated that her mind was being played around with even if it was for a decent reason the pink haired knight gave the woman a rather rushed and as you might say rude reply to her greeting. Doing nothing but glancing at the outstretched hand Ecclair looked up to see the bird still trying to steal the pendant and entered work mode once more, they had an assignment to do and that was finding this missing mage post haste. “You should just give him the pendant, unless you like having a bird hanging from your neck”, what was Ecclair talking about exactly? Well you see when Kishu got tired of trying to fly away with the pendant he wouldn’t just let go, he would~ well yes he would do exactly what he was doing and that was hanging upside down with the pendant clasped in his feet tightly like a dead bird hanging from her necklace. “I don’t know about you but I’ve given my orders, I suggest we make a move on our respective commands”, little did she know that they were all given the same orders. As for Kishu well he was stubborn and we all know what that meant for those involved. |

It was an odd thing, for every warrior and mage on each side to all be working towards the same goal, or at least every single one of them barring one. See, the woman they were all hunting for was a master of two things, two very irritatingly combinable things that made her an almost unstoppable force. And considering how she was MIA it was a bit of an irritating thing for her to be gone when 'peace' had been achieved here today. Of course she was also a bit of a loose cannon, but one that was useful when constrained and so why she had been chosen to begin the invasion of Coreopsis by Raven Tail, or at least mark it so. And now she was, missing and probably still intent on blowing shit up or continuing the plan to sink the city. The obvious thing was to look for all of the resulting explosions but the weird thing was that there were none. Now that all open hostilities had ceased well... they had ceased and the missing woman was not continuing them so it seemed. Oh wait, burned. In the Eastern Quarter of the city something... vaporised a building. It was a large building, easily one of the largest three in Coreopsis and it was therefore visible to each and every person in the city. or at least, it had been visible to them as, a moment later, it seemed to vanish into a massive explosion of pure light. The order came down immediately, every sensing and tracking mage immediately locating the woman in the middle of a broad avenue, smiling happily at having destroyed this building. The water may have been high but she much preferred fast and noticeable destruction rather than slow and boring plans. The order came down immediately, to every knight and mage in Trillium. Get to the Eastern Quarter, find the woman and stop her however you can or else this city and everyone in it will die today. |

Clearly, someone as apathetic as he is to most things was crying so hard that he was, in fact, the true reason for all the rampant flooding here. Clearly, oh so very clearly, that was the case here.Apparently, taking two seconds to observe his surroundings while coincidentally snacking on something was a license to insult (i.e. bitch at) a superior officer. Who knew. The blue-haired knight would definitely have to take notes. "I'm gonna eat your bird," he sarcastically stated, unflinchingly. While he was of course joking about it, the thought of either a roasted or fried piece of poultry meat did incidentally slip into his head. Regardless of those insignificant shenanigans, Aiden had made his way towards the eastern quarter of the city. Something, or perhaps someone, was vaporising entire buildings. It was very likely one of the powerful mages from one of the warring Dark Guilds, if not the the one they were fighting earlier. There was indeed a certain instability to her, though it didn't really matter who they were fighting. It was quite clear that they had to be stopped, and the knights had the honor of sticking their necks out on the chopping block first, or in this case - the initial privilege of vaporization. Once Aiden was actually there, or at least close enough to the scene of the once proud-standing building, he attempted to formulate a plan of attack that would not involve instant destruction. It'd be like a game of Guilty Gear with some random scrub vs a pro-ass Slayer, in which he's gonna do some combo and kill you in three hits like a butt, only with more laser beams or otherwise bright and explosive bursts of light. So, rather than simply going in and getting himself disintegrated, he tore off a lamppost which had somehow survived the destruction and falling debris and hurled it right towards the rampaging mage. While his attack was basically a ranged one, he was quite closer to the rampaging, unstable mage than anyone else. If anyone was going to get attacked by that, then it might as well be the dude with the shield. Edited by Mazohyst, Nov 28 2011, 01:12 PM.

Oberon was starting to get the feeling that he was in deep shit when he realized that buildings were looking rather, incomplete, as he made his way back the way he and Blitz had come from originally heading Eastwards. Suddenly it seemed like a much better idea to have brought along some muscle instead of his Take Over magic. Oberon shook his head as he let those thoughts fly out of his ear and into the wind as he kept his eyes open, although he had stopped calling out in fear of what might just show up is he was unfortunate enough to actually meet this lady. He sighed as he realized that his chances of joining Raven Tail were pretty much screwed by now as he had already taken out a couple of their guys. Whatever, he would just have to find another place eh? Although he could tell that he was just a little appetizer for the mages here after all, he still had some of those chemicals inside him from government testing after all. The black winged boy shivered as he walked on, oh boy, he was going to have to watch what it was that he was doing exactly in case he might just find trouble along the way, which really was quite inevitable. Oberon swore as he realized that he had no idea what he was wading through besides the fact that it smelled uber bad. Oberon chuckled a bit as he walked onwards. He spinned as he looked up at the large pillar of light that was unfortunately rather close to his location. He did a sweat drop as he realized that he might be the closest person, maybe someone else will handle it? Maybe he should just take a nap, yes a nap sounded nice right now. His to mach rumbled as he realized he was rather hungry, damn he needed to get something to eat later. He thought as he anxiously started making his way over to where the pillar of light had erupted. Blitz was hopping from rooftop to rooftop looking for the missing woman, when just a block or so away, one of the cities buildings - one he'd debated scaling if it meant finding the woman faster - exploded and vanished in a bright light. Shielding his eyes briefly, he started running there as fast as his feet could carry him. Thankfully, since he'd been walking from the South-East corner to the North-east corner, that put him almost right on top of the eastern area where the building had just pulled a vanishing act. Leaping onto a 3 story building, he ran to the edge, looking to where the building was to see the woman walking down the street. Blitz silently cheered - after all this wandering around, he finally had something he could fight! Raising two fingers into the air and gesturing at the woman, the hat atop his head, Shoop, silently nodded, firing a blast of blue light from his mouth at the woman. Blitz waited to see what she'd do - they wouldn't have the entire city searching for her if she could be dealt with so easily, but he needed to see how she'd stop the blast in order to find the best form to counter her abilities. |
