Kazuya eyed the water mage wearily following the collapse of the leviathan. For several seconds he'd waited with grim anticipation for the beast to resurface as it had done before, when it did not do so however he turned to Alexis and his new companion who had introduced himself as Therius. Speaking of Alexis, she'd evidently decided to join them on ground- er, water level- and now stood opposite Therius with her rapiers drawn- the water mage kneeling in the water between them, looking defiant yet also more than a little worried and fatigue plagued his expression. Letting out a sigh of relief as it finally became apparent that he was spent and the leviathan wouldn't be giving him or anyone any more trouble. Approaching his comrades so that they now formed a sort of triangle around the all but defeated mage, he addressed Alexis. "What will we do with him?" He asked, motioning towards the man who was glaring defiantly at him as he approached. "We could just kill him", he said airily, but more for the sake of scaring him than because he actually entertained the notion of doing so. The far more likely solution would be to place him under arrest, although he also couldn't help but wonder what the point of that was when the city was supposed to be sinking.. They couldn't just leave him here could they? Hoping that Alexis had a solution, he turned to the blonde mage who had introduced himself earlier and proven himself to be- if not their ally then at least not an ally tot he dark mages int he city. "My name is Kazuya Onizaki, a knight of Fiore. This here is, well, she can introduce herself I'm sure." he said, motioning vaguely in Alexis's direction. |

What to do, what to do, what to do with the body... This is exactly what Alexix was wondering as she stared at the dark water mage the three of them had just beaten. She wondered briefly how many murders had this same question go through their head when it became apparent that they hadn't thought this far ahead. They couldn't leave the person there because then it would be obvious that they were murdered, but there wasn't really any place to put the body. If only someone had a hand dandy location to just get rid of bodies and such that way you would always have a place to go to in a pinch. Then again nature already gave them pretty nice body dumps: oceans, lakes, caves, etc. Unfortunately there weren't any caves around and for some reason leaving a water mage in water didn't seem very smart. Kazuya suggested that they could kill him, but that was just out of the question. If it had been in the middle of a fight it would have been excusable, but now that they were thinking about it and all it just seemed a bit like murder and if Alexis remembered correctly there was a subsection in the Knight's Training Manuel that said no murdering if it can be helped. Then again maybe that manual was out of date seeing that it still said no boom-boxes in classrooms. Just as Alexis was considering rewriting it to update the information and add in a few more subsections like taco Tuesday, everyone dressed like a taco, a commotion was heard from the building above. Not much could be made out from it, but there was a loud noise, but it was more or less muffled out into nothing and then a long silence. After that something was thrown out of the window and came down with a splash at Alexis' feet. "Rope! How necessary." Alexis merrily took the rope and proceeded to tie up the water mage to a near by fire hydrant. "I'm Alexis Day, also a knight of Fiore. Nice to meet you." she said while securing the knot she tied. Alexis stood up and whipped her hands, proud of her knot tying skills. "Alrighty, that ought to hold him until we can handle this situation. Now where should we head off to?" It was a question she felt she had asked a lot since getting to this island. A definite pattern was forming where they roamed around and dealt with minor dark mages, only this time they had gained someone to work with, Therius. Strength in numbers and with an actual mage with them disposing of the dark mages would be much simpler. |

Oberon waded through the waters of the city as he kept his focus strong. He was starting to get tired from all of the fighting and shit that they were dealing with right now. He groaned as he saw how another mage appeared near the two men chasing after the Tartaros mage ahead of them. Oh great here we go again, Oberon thought to himself as he readied his fists to shift into Yangzami although the mage was surprised as he saw how his companion was eadily handeling the situation by easily defeating the mage ahead. Damn, way to ruin the fun! Oberon thought to himself although the black winged demon felt slightly grateful that Blitz had dispatched the mage so easily with his Take Over form. The black winged demon thought on this as he wondered where Blitz's afilliations were tied. He was definately no dark mage as he combated both Raven Tail and Tartaros! That left Grimore heart but there was no way he could be from that guild as it was full of lose cannons who thought that they were the masters of the world or some shit. He shrugged before walking up along side Blitz, "Where do you think he is going?" he asked before continuing his hunt tbrough the water which slowed him down greatly. |

'What's next?' Aiden was curiously asked. You know, that was quite a good question. Aiden really did not know what the hell to make out of this situation. The water had suddenly surged upward, covering at least two feet of the ground, making Aiden quite glad that he was on top of a rooftop. Not only that, the woman in the center of the town square, located right in the heart of the city, had vanished. There was something definitely shifting about that. Not to mention, there was also the fact that all the A-Rank mages had converged in the center of the city. They were definitely up to something; well, as if they weren't already up to something... But that's not necessarily the point! It was clear some serious shit was about to go down, at least even vaguely more serious than what had already happened. It seemed that the powerful mage that they were fighting earlier was just lollygagging around. Excuse me while I go off on a random tangent for one sentence but... Isn't lollygagging just a hilarious word? It's almost as insane as curved swords. CURVED. SWORDS. So, it was ultimately for Aiden to decide what to do next. As a result, he decided to choose the best option. "Snack time," Aiden nonchalantly replied, sounding as if he was completely and utterly unserious at that moment. However, when he pulled out a wrapped dango out of his coat pocket it became strangely apparent that Aiden...took snack times very seriously. Aiden sat on the edge of the roof, casually observing the scene as he unwrapped the delectable treat and took one of the pieces in his mouth with a nice bite, and chewed on it. Of course, Aiden wasn't solely dedicating his time to snacking and munching on some food. Instead, he was actually observing what was happening. True enough, it was difficult to discern what the hell was going on, and it didn't seem like they were in immediate (as in, right now they might die) danger. Instead, he would quickly spring forth at the right opportunity, as such a train of thought certainly fit him. Though, not a moment too soon after he had finished his snack, one wayward warrior-mage, who was oh-so-obviously a dark mage trying to sneak up on and then attack him, had rudely interrupted him. So, after popping the last bite into his mouth, Aiden had immediately threw the skewer at him, hitting him right in the eyeball. It wasn't entirely intended, throwing weapons had never really been his forte, but I guess no one could see that coming. Hopefully, everyone would turn a blind eye to that one. Though, that's what you get for sneaking up on him when he has his eye on you. I apologize for my bad vitreous humor. I think I deserve 20 lashes for that. I guess, after all that, we can't see eye-to-eye. Edited by Mazohyst, Nov 22 2011, 12:49 AM.

Snack time? Surely Aiden was merely saying that to try and throw in a joke or something wasn’t he? No, no he wasn’t and that quickly became apparent to Ecclair as she stood atop the building opposite her partner. He was carrying food around in his jacket?! Well that explained why Kishu loved tagging along with him now didn’t it. Shaking her head in blatant disapproval Ecclair wasted no time in deciding her next move, Kishu’s head popped from the feathers that he was hiding within and almost as if he could see something the pink haired knight couldn’t the little ball of fluff was off sailing through the air carried by those little wings of his. Where was he going? Even Ecclair didn’t know that one but she knew she would be following after him, if something was important enough to the little bird that he would take off like that then she wasn’t leaving him alone to find out what it was that was for sure. With no time to make her way down the stairs once more the rather brave female knight took a daring leap from the rooftop of the building and plummeted towards the ground, her landing was flawless despite the ground beneath her cracking under the weight of the fall and off went the pink haired knight in chase of her beloved yellow fluff ball. Minutes passed and the pink haired knight found herself being lead by the little ball of feathers through the streets at quite the considerable pace, he might not have been as fast as Ecclair but the fact that Kishu could fly over obstacles meant that she was having to try and keep pace quite considerably. As a familiar voice made it’s way past Ecclair’s ears it became apparent as to what Kishu was ‘seeking out’, he’d found himself a wild Kazuya now had he? Interesting, very interesting. Part of Ecclair wanted to know what it was that her fellow knights had been up to while she had been smashing in mage skulls and scaring them senseless but she wasn’t going to ask, the city was far from saved and although the water wasn’t rising any longer she had the feeling that the whole event was far from over. Rounding the corner to see Kishu flying towards Kazuya with a happy chirp the knight’s aqua eyes locked onto the two figures that were standing near him and the now tied and subdued man that wasn’t going to be going or doing much of anything for sometime, now who did we have here? With Kazuya stood two unfamiliar faces, one male and one female for that matter, whoever they were they were working with Kazuya and for that they were close enough to allies for the time being, “Good to see you are making yourself useful Onizaki unlike some knight’s I know of..”. Kishu made his landing atop Kazuya’s head as Ecclair finished speaking and no sooner had he landed did he begin to make himself comfortable nestled within his hair, it was hair that the little bird had always liked to nestle within and this time was no different after all. Ahh now he was nice and comfortable he could finally get some rest….WAIT WHAT WAS THAT?! As the sight of something rather shiny and to the little bird utterly irresistible at the same time passed the path of his little eyes it was game over for that sleep idea. He had to have it! Chirping loudly and flyng straight towards the necklace that the female was wearing Kishu was like a bird possessed, in a matter of seconds he had the necklace pendant in his grasp and before any actions could have been taken he was flying off trying to take it back to his ‘nest’ that was Kazuya’s hair. Luckily for the woman however Kishu didn’t have the physical strength to break the chain of the necklace and so despite his best efforts the bird was stuck mid air and mid flight tugging desperately at the pendant that he so dearly wanted ever since….well he saw it a few moments ago. For a moment, Therius’s two impromptu allies discussed what to do with the three rather unconscious mages, before the female shooter tied them up. With the water level for now stabilizing, well, hopefully that meant the dark mages would be safe enough for now, the Blond didn’t want to murder them. At the same time…well, they had attacked them, if something happened to them now…their own fault. With that resolved, the two Knight’s introduced themselves, Kazuya and Alexis huh? Not any names he recognised, but then again, it had been ages since he had last been to Chrysanthemum, and he mostly only knew the much older knights anyway. “Nice to meet you too Kazuya, Alexis, just wish it was better under circumstances. Perhaps we should get to higher ground and look out for more trouble? Or anything you two think would be best. After all, strength in numbers, and you two probably have more training for something like this.” There group of three would soon become four…five including the small yellow fluff ball of a companion occupying the woman. It would seem the pink haired woman was yet another ally, at least judging by the way the small bird-like creature made its way to Kazuya’s head. Giving a small nod to the new comer, Therius went to speak to introduce himself, not getting out any more than a “Th” out before the yellow bird flew straight at Alexis, or rather the metallic and shiny necklace she wore, the scene of the small animal trying to wrest free the precious shiny object causing a smile to cross his face, even chuckling. It was a pleasant change to see something just so…innocent and cute after everything so far. Watching the bird continue to struggle, he spoke to the pinked hair warrior, “Therius, if you or these other two need help, I’ll do what I can. I’m guessing if you know Kazuya, you’re a Knight as well?” |

Sinjin slipped as he was pushed back by the water from that blasted hole that the mage from earlier had done. No, he wasn’t merely pushed back but off the roof. He was lucky he was able to grab hold of a railing on a nearby veranda. Otherwise, he would have fallen from quite a tall place and who knows if he would have broken any bones from it. Nevertheless, he made sure not to fall off and was about to pull himself over the railing when the blasted rusted metal broke off and sent Sinjin falling the remaining distance. When again, the fall had a mixture of noises coming from crashing into crates and splashing from the water. And though the blood mage had a wobbly time trying to stand back up, he realized that things weren’t going smoothly as it seemed. “What the? The water’s already this high?” He uttered as he estimated it to be at least about a feet or so. In any case, it was a bad sign and he had to hurry to the center of town. He needed to be there in case his guild needed him. “Soul! I’m going ahead!” He called out above, hoping that Soul was faring better than he was before he started running along the flooded streets, making his way out from the maze-like alley. He was a bit of a street smart, so he somehow knew his shortcuts well. But with water and fallen debris from the attacks along the way, the usual paths were blocked. He had to find a way back to the guild. The question, however, was would he be able to get there in one piece? A random low ranked mage of the attacking forces suddenly burst into the street and Sinjin just had to take out his frustrations on the unlucky soul and beat him shitless. But once done, he was back to tracking his way to the town center. |

Seeing as his thumbs up and compliment was ignored by the snacking tin can Ryo would lean over and take a few breathes himself. He knew he needed to regain his energy as fast as possible because something big was coming. His sense's were screaming, tho that could be the fact that his combo strained his body a bit. Taking a few deep breathes RYo's eyes shot open remembering something, his chainsaw blade went flying not to long ago!. Shealthing his other blades back in there place he regained his composure and looked around to remember in which direction his sword flew. " Imbue " he would say as his feet engulfed in flames as he took to the skies in search of possibling finding his rather giant chainsaw blade before trouble came back to town. |

As the C-rank mage ran at him once more, Blitz aimed down his arm and fired off a fist at the attacker, not bound to a chain, opting to detonate it just before it reached him, another gout of steam going up from the pooling water - maybe I'll end up exploding the city dry, he thought, resisting the urge to chuckle. The C rank mage didn't go down that easy, though, using the explosion's force to leap and come down right on Blitz, who blocked with the back of his other hand, swinging it outward with full force to fling the mage away once more, who landed on both feet, parallel to the ground, against a flag pole sticking out of a nearby underwater garden, the pole creaking in dismay and bending 45 degrees at the impact, the C rank jumping off it at Blitz again. He blocked this time, but didn't fling the mage, dropping him into the water and sparring with him a bit, blocking the blade strikes and occasional shadow arc with his giant mechanical arms. He was stronger, no doubt, but the mage was rather resilient, and stubborn to boot. "Will....you....just....," Blitz grunted between strikes, grabbing the mage around the torso with a giant fist after an overhead slash left him open, "Buzz....OFF!" Blitz finished with a yell, flinging the mage into the nearby wall hard enough to shatter the brick, bits of brick and flakes of mortar splashing into the watery street like someone dumping food into a bowl for their pet goldfish. The mage slumped over the broken wall, out cold, and no doubt minus a few ribs, but judging by the breathing and significant but not terribly alarming amount of blood, not in immediate danger. Nodding, he returned to normal and resumed running at the center of the city, looking for the Tartaros mage he'd lost sight of in the struggle.

Kazuya watched silently as Alexis made good use of the local environment and tied up the troublesome water mage, although from the way the eyes were rolled up in the back of his head and his head lolled at a odd angle, he didn't think he'd be waking up any time soon and such precautions were almost unnecessary. Still, better safe than sorry and he'd have done the same thing in her position. Once properly restrained, Alexis asked what they should do next, to which Kazuya mentally raised an eyebrow. He'd never really thought of himself as being above Alexis, yet she seemed to be constantly deferring to him for decisions. Since when was he nominated the leader? He had half a mind to demand a recount, but sighed instead. If she wished to voluntarily put herself below him on the chain of command because he was taller, more handsome and had a cool teleporting sword then who was he to argue? At that moment, Therius piped up with a contribution of his own and Kazuya nodded absently as he listened. Yes, taking the higher ground was a good idea, after all the last time they'd done that it had led them to their current situation and potentially saved Therius from- if not death, then a rather great deal of inconvenience. But something in him hesitated in charging ahead with the tried and true strategy and turned around to look down the road instead to see... was that... why yes it was. It was Kishu, but more importantly, the herald for another ally that Kazuya was more than a little glad to have around. Ecclair. "Hey Kish", Kazuya laughed as the pink haired knights pet landed in his hair as it always seemed so fond of doing. However, after a few moments of stillness, Kazuya watched with first surprise and then amusement as Kishu went after the pendant Alexis wore at her throat. As the cute little bird struggled to get away with his prize, Kazuya grinned, "Aww come on Alexis, let him have it, how can you say no to those beady little eyes?" Before she could respond to his jest, a familiar voice sounded behind him. Turning, he found himself face to face with Ecclair who sure enough, was never far behind wherever Kishu was to be found. Doing what few knights would do, Kazuya spoke on Ecclairs behalf to Therius's question. "This here is Ecclair Farron Bellum, also known as the Valkyrie of Bellum. She's one of the meane- I mean most skilled knights Fiore has." He glossed over his almost fatal error with a hasty compliment He cocked his head as he finished speaking as he recalled something. "Speaking of skilled knights... where's Aiden? I thought he was with you?" he said, peering around as though Aiden might be hiding behind her. Kazuya very much doubted that any harm had befallen Aiden, but he knew what they said about assuming and if there was anything out there that could put Aiden out of commission then that boded very badly for the future of Coreopsis. But Ecclair looked more or less unscathed, so he was expecting to hear that they'd split up for strategic reasons or something. Little did he know that the truth was very much linked to Ecclairs earlier comment about being useful... |
