Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Blitz finished welding the broken chain back together again, sighing briefly and looking over his work. "Not exactly the prettiest thing, but it'll hold up for the moment, at least until the other chains are fixed. And exactly what part of welding chain involves lifting knees?" he asked, eyebrow raised. "And I only told you off because if she was an enemy, she could have blasted us out of nowhere - normally I'd be more trusting of the regular folk around here, but considering the circumstances," he noted, gazing out over the flooded and still-sinking city, "I think I've earned the right to ask a question or two before making friends with the natives."

Jumping down from the chain, he landed on his feet in the knee-deep - or for Blitz's big form, shin-deep - water, a fairly sized cloud of steam and a hissing noise erupting from the impact. Blitz glanced down at the bubbling water. "....right, maybe water travel isn't the best way to go. Hissing steam is kind of a giveaway in this form and traveling normally in water this deep is a pain." Wading to the nearby fire escape, he scaled it swiftly, moving straight from platform to platform with his long reach and big size, ignoring the ladders themselves, before pulling himself onto the roof, and letting his form drop. "You coming?" he asked. If he wanted to, great, but either way, Blitz intended to keep moving.

Hoennese and proud!

It was a long moment before any of her foes would begin the attack, and as the Raven Tail woman waited for them to begin she let herself feel the ebb and flow of magic in the area, and noticed the spike coming from the boy she had disarmed earlier.
How amusing, he was the one who would lead this strike when his rushing attacks had failed earlier, well maybe some children needed to be taught manners after all and this one definitely hadn't received enough attention in the crib, so he would be the one who needed the harshest -and most- lessons of them all. Ah well, it was all in a day's work and since she now noticed the amount of water on the ground of Coreopsis she assumed their plans had already succeeded up to Stage Three. That just meant it was time for Stage Four now, after she dealt with these annoying little insects and rats who had dared to challenge her. It was funny that they didn't make another coordinated attack, for them giving her time to recharge her energy was the one mistake they should have been making and already one of her more useful spells had returned to full power, meaning unless they could make a coordinated strike soon, they were all doomed to lose one-by-one...

The boy began another charge then, leaping into the air with some kind of fire-ability and then creating a twister of what appeared to be fire that he had named after a mythical dragon-like being. How cute, he thought he was that strong, and he summoned forth another burst of fire then that he had termed after both a massive killing and a small spirit of flame and honour. Then he did something with a sword that she ignored, mainly since he was attacking her mid-area and must have used up most of his energy in one spurt now, since using three techniques at that level was... well frankly impressive but even for one of her power it was draining. He landed quite ungraciously on a rooftop and said something that was... well odd, but as the fire passed through where she had been in the air a voice would ask in amusement from the ground below the rooftop where the boy had landed, a voice that was filled with contempt too.
"What in Fiore are you looking at?" the woman asked, unharmed and standing still and amused on the ground nowhere near where the fire attacks were now dissipating, "I think you need your eyes checked child."
Oh but that wasn't all, instead she tensed her legs and leaped back and towards the boy who had attempted to harm her from a distance before, a boy she detected no internal magic from but a boy who wore it on his body...

Oh and in the corners of the city?
Staaaaaaaaalemates.

Stay the course.

As expected, Ecclair managed to notice Aiden's presence, as well as the massive fist of psionic energy spiralling towards her. Well, not towards her, but in that general direction as Aiden's real target - the Raven Tail dark mage, was there. Of course, he didn't fully expect for it to hit, as surely she had the aptitude to avoid such an attack. The power of the attack that Aiden conjured up, courtesy of a piece of magical equipment he wore, was rather powerful and had his own speed imparted into it. However, it was an all-powerful attack, nor was ranged strikes his field of expertise. If anything, it was to create distance, and it had effectively managed to accomplish that goal. Though, Aiden would need to wait a considerable amount of time before he was able to use his power again. That said, it didn't feel wasted as he had done exactly what he had intended in the first place.

Not too long after, Ecclair had headed off, entering the building opposite to where Aiden was standing on top of. It would provide her an excellent vantage point to attack and send volleys of lightning at the mage. Seek the high ground, such is simply common military tactics. Whoever holds the high ground tends to hold the advantage, and surely no one was about to bust a stupid Anakin Skywalker and jump at a hypothetical Obi Wan, inevitably resulting in horrifying injuries. In that particular example, it would consist of falling dangerously close to lava. Which brings me to my next point, irrelevant as it may be. When you fall into lava you inevitably become lava. Quite the realization, truly the only kind of epiphany one can have intoxicated. Although, there was also the fact that their enemy was far more mobile than they were, able to take flight or at least hover in the skies.

At the very least, the dark mage helping them out who Aiden could recall as being a Ryu or Ryo (he couldn't entirely remember the name) seemed pretty mobile as well. His fire attacks and other melee strikes seemed quite capable, though they didn't seem unstoppable to the Raven Tail dark mage, who was essentially dismantling and disabling each of their attacks. This made Aiden wonder what exactly her powers were. If they could discern what magical abilities she actually had then that could prove a great boon. However, figuring things like that out, especially in the heat of battle (not to mention literal heat, as Aiden was wearing his usual equipment and the fires here were starting to heat things up) wasn't something he wanted to do. It would be better left-off to someone with superior puzzle-solving skills. Aiden is a knight, sure, and while he had done his fair share of investigations and mystery solving that was far and away from his area of expertise.

Not a moment too soon after, the dark mage had essentially leapt towards him. Eager to avoid injury, Aiden had dashed off to the side, manuevering safely away from danger for the moment. However, it was unfortunate that behind him a door had started being pounded on from the other side. Eventually, it broke and was kicked right off its hinges. Storming in behind him were a trio of dark mages, eager to surround him and take him out. Keeping at least one eye on the powerful dark mage, Aiden unsheathed his sword which was sheathed at his right side and placed his shield on his back. As one of the three approached him, the handle on his sword suddenly elongated, taking him by surprise. It reached spear length, with the sword's blade acting as the spear head. That singular movement allowed him to essentially thrust at one, following this by jabbing at another. As for the third? Aiden brought up the butt of the spear's shaft, slamming it into one's chin in a neat arc, knocking him upwards. It was a capable three taloned strike, followed by a crescent sweep as he spun, swinging his spear and slashing through the trio and sending them down like poorly animated ragdolls. A much belated fourth intruder came charging at him from the same stairway door after Aiden had sheathed his sword, however it was casually dispatched as Aiden grabbed the shield on his back and tossed it at him. Miraculously, it bounced off his dome and flew right back at Aiden for him to catch.

Oberon juried his head back slightly at Blitz's snappy response. If circumstances weren't themselves he would just kill someone who talked too him like that...but on the other hand the fact that he had managed to weld together one of the chains holding the city up was rather quite impressive. If not made the winged boy feel helpless, "ha, welcome to the real world kid" Yang said sympathizing, it was true he was way out of his league in in some deep shit right now. He gave a 'humph' before running forward to catch up with Blitz who had by now reached the roofs, the girl could do what she wanted, right now the most important thing was staying in a tight group, that would increase their chances for survival. Besides, Take Over mages had to look out for each other right? "Hell yes! Lets save the city" Obeorn said trying to sound convincing despite being a person who was rather a ungentle man. Oberon climbed up the ladder of the fire escape pulling himself up while Blitz simply sprinted up quickly. It was true that the winged boy didn't exactly have the best of physical conditions in the world but it was endurable none the less. "Lets bring the pain, oh and you can come too if you want, just keep up!" he yelled before turning his head back down to the girl who called herself Excel as he finally reached the roof where Blitz was at, "Don't let us slow you down man, just stop the city from sinking man" Obeorn said as he looked at Blitz. It was going to be a LONG day...

Steel your mind. Run on instinct.
Finally Ecclair was reaching the top of the stairs that she had been climbing for what felt like quite the lump of time, she had met several smaller mages on her way up those very stairs and they too met with the same fate that their friends before them had. Either jumping over the railings to climbs down the staircase to avoid pain and injury or being beaten into a pulp as she charged through the mages that had stood in her way couldn’t have been much more then the very beginners of the guilds that waged war in the city, as she reached the second last floor however the pink knight had someone of a bit more substance waiting for her to arrive. “Well it took you long enough, I am impressed you made it this far honestly,” a figure appeared from behind a large concrete pillar opposite the stairway and as he spoke it became very apparent that he wasn’t going to let Ecclair by while he could still lift a finger to prevent her escape. A large light blue barrier covered the staircases that lead to the floors both above and below as the man spoke and honestly it was a giant mistake on his behalf, you know that old saying never corner a cat? Well it was a heck of a lot worse to corner Bellumese soldier let alone this particular one.

Ecclair’s eyes set on the man that was keen for her defeat at his hands with furrowed eyebrows but not because she didn’t want to fight the man or because she was worried about losing, this knight didn’t like the interruption on her schedule in the slightest bit. There was a powerful mage out there fighting with her partner and her allies and this man had the nerve to stop her in her tracks and demand from her a fight? This guy obviously had quite the ego if he thought that the woman before him in full armour and quite the impressive weapon in her hand was nothing to be afraid of, boy was he going to be wishing he had learned some modesty before she got a hole of him. “If you value your life drop the barricades, I have no time for your nonsense,”it was most likely a giant waste of her time even suggesting that the guy let her pass but it was worth a shot at the very least. Unfortunately the knight’s gesture only managed to get a response of laughter from the mage that stood before her with a large grin on his face, “Well aren’t we cocky, I think I’ll enjoy teaching you a lesson. Maybe if you beg for mercy I might let you live, it’d be a shame to stomp on such a flower too badly”.

With those words spoken the mage’s hands began to glow with an aura, light blue in colour the aura shone around his hands like flames until finally forming the shape of blades within his grasp. With a sword in each hand the mage stood with a smirk upon his face and a glint within his eye, “Why don’t we get this started then hmm?”. Within the blink of an eye the enemy mage disappeared from Ecclair’s sight and if it hadn’t been for the fact she knew an attack was coming she wouldn’t have had a chance in hell of dodging the attack that was launched from behind her. A well timed duck meant that Ecclair managed to keep her head as a blade was sent slicing through the air where her neck would have been milliseconds earlier, launching a counter attack by spinning around with her leg out the knight took the man’s footing out from under him in one swift motion. Unfortunately despite having his legs knocked out from under him this mage wasn’t going to be hitting the floor like you would have thought he would, using his magic once more the man disappeared from sight once again only to reappear on the other side of the room standing comfortably once more.

“Well aren’t we special”, sarcasm dripped from Ecclair’s words as she too stood and her eyes seemed to lose all semblance of emotion and thought from behind them as she lost herself to the battle at hand. This man would fall one way or the other, she was adamant about that. “You ain’t seen nothing yet”, with those cocky words the mage charged towards Ecclair with blades in hand. She didn’t know what kind of effect those blades were going to have if any but she had a feeling that she was going to be finding out sooner rather later, and there was the fact that the enemy could teleport to any given location within the blink of an eye. This fight was going to be annoying if nothing else that was for sure, but Ecclair had a trick up her sleeve and his name was Kishuragi.

The Ace of Tartaros

Ryo would stare intensly at the flame slowly disspating where the woman was. Slowly moving his eyes toward where the woman actually was now he would growl. " I was just saying what a fine buttox you have, you mind coming and sitting on daddy's lap! " Ryo would call out to the woman as she started her attack on Aiden. Ryo however wouldn't be able to do much to help anyone in his curent state. Sweat poured from his face as he onlooked as his home started sinking. Grinding his teeth back and forth, he needed help, Raven Tail had executed a flawless crippling assault when Tartaros was most vunerable. However unless the other defenders got there act together it wouldnt just a dark guild striken in this attack..but hundreds of the people still inside the city would be lost too.

Who you calling chocobo head...

The three Raven Tail mages seemed to be taking their time, confident in having the advantage in numbers, and the fact the Blond was mostly a melee fighter who’s ability to both close distance and dodge was impeded, to the say the least, by the increasing water level. The fire mage, with wild, flaming red hair to match his magic, raised his hands to attack again, flames dancing and gathering at his hands, Therius readying to defend himself again from the magical onslaught. Though, the second blast of fire wouldn’t come, something, or rather, someone, falling onto Raven Tail mage, the resulting splash of water briefly hiding what was happening to Therius.

Once the water had settled; one Raven Tail mage down for the count, and hopefully in his place an ally, the new comer a rather tall male with orange hair…who clearly possessed a rather lame sense of humour, not that Therius could talk considering he smirked at the dropping in remark. The first mage that had spoken up, questioning what side that Therius was on, whom from his appearance and the remarks from the now unconscious Brian was a bit more brawn than brains, claiming the last two wouldn’t be brought down by a cheap shot…only for himself to get taken down by bullet fire from a far, presumably an ally of the one that dropped in, unless Kazuya just had ridiculous luck when he stated it wasn’t 2 on 2.

The last Raven Tail mage had medium length wavy blue hair, sighing at the two defeated mages, was busy making sure he didn’t get shot by Alexis, before crouching down, cupping his hands to gather some of the rather conveniently placed water, a magic seal appearing around him as his aqua eyes glowed with magic, letting the water he had gathered slowly drip back to the ground. “Bringer of waves, heed my call, mighty serpent, lend me your strength to defeat my foes, Leviathan!” The last mage, a summoner of sorts at least it seemed, was no longer alone, a 6ft long blue serpent creature joining his side now. “You know…it’sss pretty ssshallow here Lukasss…” the serpent apparently capable of speech, and not entirely comfortable with the ‘lack’ of water. “Yeah, I know, sorry Leviathan, deal with these guys and I can get you out of here…” Without needing any further instruction or motivation, the sea serpent swam towards Kazuya.

Therius of course wasn’t just going to let himself get saved without doing something to help, closing in on Lucas while hopefully distracted. Though, the knight hopefully distracted by his summon, and the gunner probably unable to get a clear shot of him, the dark mage was free to focus his attention on the Blond, two tendrils of water forming from the ‘lake’ of water, lashing out at the exquip mage. The first was easy enough to cut down, though the second grabbed Therius’s left arm, refusing to let go despite his struggles, keeping the swordsman out of sword range, handily enough. Continuing to try and break hold, the Blond dropped the now mostly useless two-handed sword, drawing a gun of his own, taking two shots at the Raven Tail mage. Not the greatest shots in history, though it did force Lucas to dodge them, perhaps leaving him open to an attack from Therius’s new allies.

Sarcasm. Because beating the shit out of people is illegal.

Kazuya had to resist the urge to gloat when Alexis's bullets took the second mage in the leg and brought him down. For a guild of so called dark mages, these guys were pretty wussy he thought to himself with a sad shake of his head. However, it quickly seemed as though he may just have spoken a little too soon as the remaining mage crouched down in the water and recited an incantation of arcane origins and the water around him began to roil in response. Within seconds, a stream of water rose out of the shallows and took form in the shape of some sort of snake or serpent. Apparently it was sentient too as it spoke in a gurgling hiss about not liking it's current environment very much at all.

Without further adieu the snake- apparently named Leviathan from what Kazuya could overhear- dived into the water and began snaking (hehe see what i did there?) towards him. Now the young knight would be lying if he'd claimed that the idea of something like that coming at him wasn't a little daunting and he hesitated for a moment as he tried to decide how on earth he was going to fight a creature made of water... in the water. Knee deep in water, his options were depressingly limited so in the end he could only raise Dusk in front of him and metal clashed with fang as the Leviathan launched out of the water and towards Kazuya's face. The impact pushed the young knight backwards in a spray of water that, in different circumstances- would have looked pretty cool to onlookers.

After a little over a meter, Kazuya's feet caught purchase beneath the water against the curb that bordered the street. To Therius and Alexis, it may well have looked like he'd just been devoured by the amphibious serpent, but as the plume of water fell like a cloud of mist, he returned to visibility and he was ready to strike back... Slipping forwards and down, Kazuya drew his blade away from the Leviathans maw and down by his right side so that he was now crouched beneath it's jaw. He then leaped upwards, slicing through the beats neck with Dusk in a wide sweeping arc. It met with minimal resistance and the beats head dropped to the water, it's entire being dissolving back into the water at his feet. "That wasn't so-", he began to say, but was suddenly flung from his feet and up into the air several meters in a pillar of water that arced before slamming him into the knee deep water several meters down the street.

Thankfully, the water served as enough of a cushion to break the worst part of the fall and Kazuya was left on his ass wondering what the hell had just happened. In front of him, the water roiled once more and the leviathan took form again. So much for being dead, he thought darkly as he pushed himself to his feet, Dusk in his right hand in preparation for round two. "Shishishi, foolish human thinking you hurt water with steel", it mocked. Kazuya's only response was to lunge forwards and slash at the creature repeatedly. This time, it made no pretense of being hurt by the blade as each swipe passed through the beats body only for it to reform from the water around it. Either they would have to remove all the water from the area (which was impossible no matter how you sliced it) or defeat the mage that summoned the thing int he first place (a much more practical option no matter how you looked at it)

At that moment, shots rang out from the blonde boy and Kazuya glanced up to see the mage in question dive to the ground or, er... water to avoid the stray shots. This left him in a position where Alexis could jump down from the rooftop and engage him in close quarters or shoot at him again depending on which poison she decided she'd like to use most. Whichever it turned out to be, He hoped she did it quickly because slashing at water was surprisingly tiring and she doubted that the serpent would keep toying with him in this manner for very long before it decided to attack him in earnest.
For the water mages part, it seemed that the toll of keeping the serpent around was beginning to show as he was panting and sweat was mingled with the seawater on hid brow.

Oberon was having a hell of a day. He was standing there for a second to catch his breath as he had finished climbing up the fire escape and was now standing on the roof of a nearby building. Why the hell was he doing this again? He groaned as he looked over and saw how many buildings they would have to cross, well wasn't that just great. Part of the black winged demon was tempted to just blow the place sky high, Tartaros wasn't exactly his most favorite place in the world honestly and he was trying to attract the attention of Raven Tail after all. He sighed, it was pretty useless thinking that he still had a chance of joining after he had taken out a couple of their mages. Oberon growled, he would just MAKE them let him join, after all the greats don't start out great. "Come on get going, we gotta work that burger off of you" Yin said in a disciplinary manner as he spoke into the golden eyed boys mind. Oberon reluctantly nodded as he started his pursuit of Blitz once more, the guy was more experienced then him that was for sure. The black winged boy quickly ran alone the rooftops as he jumped over the gaps in-between, he fell a couple times but was whiped back into running by his spirits who tried their hardest to keep the golden eyed mage on his feet, after all if he died so did they!

You want Thingamabobs? I got 20.
Alright. Only one dark mage left to shoot right in the center of his knee cap. Of course now that two were down the last one just had to be smart and get out of her line of fire. Like it was just a piece of cake to shot with any amount of accuracy from here anyway. Alexis tried aiming her gun in a few different ways before just giving up on the shot altogether. Well at least it was a three on one now, that is assuming the blonde man would help them. Before any of that could be thoroughly thought out though, the last dark mage was up to no good. He managed to conjure up some kind of water serpent demon. To be honest Alexis gave a hard look to the beast and it didn't look that bad. It was rather cool to be something a dark mage would summon and was very much a threat. The dark mage must be stronger then she had originally gave him credit for because, unless the thing was just for show, it was about to seriously mess up Kazuya's face.

The swordsman seemed to be handling the water mage well, despite him being forced to drop his own blade. The way it looked to her it was the dark mage and Therius were fighting while Kazuya and the Leviathan fought. The serpent had the advantage since it was a predator of the water and the water Kazuya was forced to stand in was already knee deep. It used it swift agility to snake over to the knight and strike. They sparred and for a moment it seemed like the serpent ate him. She sighed this time as she was wondering whether or not she should believe this. Once already Alexis thought that Kazuya died when a building "fell" on him and that was just embarrassing. This time if he was dead he better have the courtesy to send her a message of some sort. A singing telegram would be the most preferable, but really a llamagram would do just fine. Really any sort of old style messaging system that involves an animal with a singing accompaniment. Now seeing that there was no barber shop quartet coming to inform her of the tragic event in a cherry and melodic tune, Alexis was not at all surprised to see him reappear beneath the serpent. A backwards slash he cut through it and the head fell into the water before its body dissolved.

For such a fearsome looking creature it sure fell rather quick. One would think that a water-type creature would have even more of an advantage with the water level being knee deep and rising. Moments after the head was severed Kazuya was flung into the air by a pillar of water. That was unexpected to see happen. Kazuya splashed down into the water and the Leviathan had reformed again. Well that ability was going to get annoying fast. Kazuya lunged at it, slashing at it fiercely. Every strike cut through the water, but it reformed just as fast. The serpent was only going to get stronger with the water rising and since there was no way to reverse that Alexis decided that the water mage must be taken out instead. Therius was closest to him, but was at a standstill it seemed. Kazuya had the beast busy with his slash attacks. The decision was easy to make, help Therius to take out the water mage and then the creature would go away. All Kazuya had to do was keep it busy so they could focus on him.

Alexis jumped down from the building, the water level cushioning the fall. She slugged through the water, holstering her guns and drawing her rapiers. Guns may have made more sense to use since they were more lethal, but ammo was expensive and the knight didn't want to be wasteful. The mage was tiring. No surprise really, the summon was quite powerful and probably required a good amount of energy from the summoner. There was no way he could take the physical strain of holding off two assailants on his own or with his magic. At the mage's left, Alexis swiped her blade to hit the side of his torso with a shallow cut. More of a warning slash then anything, but it would hopefully divide his attention so Therius could jump into the brawl as well. He retaliated with a few feeble streams of water that lashed out at her. They were easy to cut through and negate, but he managed to put some distance between him and her in that time. Not much could be left in him, three able fighters against the one of him was just a little easy.
