Oberon trudged through the water as he tried to keep up with Blitz on the flooded streets of Coreopsis, great how could this possibly get any worse! He was about to help a light mage try and weld the city together to stop it from sinking which as much as he was trying to believe it would, just wouldn't work. Oberon sighed as he flexed his wings slightly only to hear a voice come up from behind him. "What the hell?" Yang said in a bewilderd manner as Oberon turned his head to find a woman walking alongside him! He stumbled slightly as he kept walking behind Blitz, she was some kind of raving mad woman! Was she insane? "Great another loony and i though i was one" Yang said as Oberon replied to the woman, "No i'm not a member of Raven Tail! Me and him are trying to stop the place from sinking!" Oberon said with an annoyed but sitlll serious manner as he stopped to watch Blitz scale the chain and try to weld the thing together. The black winged boy turned to see only the madwoman was still there, besides her though there was nobody else! He sighed as sh continued her ravings, how did he get stuck in this mess? "Bad karma?" Yin said sarcastically to him in his mind. There was something strange though, she was a mage all right although the shadow near her was rather...well....looked a bit out of place. It must just be the woman's insanity rubbing off on him as he shrugged before returning to his look out. |

As Blitz focused on melding the chains together, he heard Oberon start talking - or rather, yelling - at someone down in the street proper, Blitz turning his head to look, seeing a woman down there. "Oberan, in the future, point the nearby people out to me, then play twenty questions with them. The next person we encounter on this thing might greet us with a sword or spell instead of words." Blitz wasn't trying to be rude, just pointing out that this wasn't exactly the right situation to chat it up with the locals. Turning back to his work, he pulled the heated metal of the links closer and began applying heat to the point of contact, slowly but surely melding the two together. |

Just when Therius thought today would pass without any fighting, the entire city moved, moving slightly to regain his balance from the jolt. “What in the world-“ Before he could finish the thought he noticed the 5 green beams of light in the sky, as the city continued to shake and fall, water lapping at the Blond’s feet. “The city…is sinking?” Who on earth would want to sink Coreopsis? Yes there was a dark guild here…but if this was the work of another dark guild, were they really willing to sink an entire city just to take down a guild? The Swordsman’s question would be answered as a mage started to damage a nearby shop, shattering the windows with a small blast of electricity. More important was the guild tattoo on his neck. Raven Tail. Assuming Tartaros wouldn’t sink their own city, and that the sudden appearance of a Raven Tail mage and the sinking of the city were related, it wasn’t too hard to work out that Raven Tail was behind the attack. Still…this measure seemed extreme, did they really not care about taking down the city and everyone else that was in it? Oh well, no time to stop and think about why Raven Tail would resort to this, just time to stop them. Therius knew nothing of how the city stayed afloat, nor did he have a magic that would really help in that regard, so he’d do the one thing he was good at, defeat as many Raven Tail mages as possible to give more time and freedom to those that could do something. Starting with the quite distracted idiot wrecking this shop. Playing the part of a confused citizen, he slowly approached the lightning mage until he was fairly close, surging forward suddenly, a weapon appearing from thin air into his hand as Therius slashed open the mage’s side, the dark mage crying out in pain as he fell to the ground, clutching at his side as the water around him slowly turned red. Whether the mage would die, or merely be incapacitated for the rest of this fight didn’t worry the Blond all that much, a long sword in his right hand, a great sword strapped to his back, a pistol by his waist, his clothing replaced with leather armour as he made his way towards the closest beam of green light, hoping he’d be able to do at least something. Continuing through the streets of the city, the water continued to rise at a quite alarming rate, getting to some foot or so deep, Therius looking over what looked like was a small city square, quite deserted now giving the situation. Considering getting to higher ground and move by roof top instead, three nearby voices distracted him…which were way to calm given the situation to be just civilians, the owners of voices coming in view, one of them spotting Therius. “Hey,” nudging his two companions, “he’s not one of the new Raven Tail mages is he?” “Of course not idiot, though even you should be able to remember someone like him not being in the guild,” the second one said, sighing, before getting dragged into an argument with the first. The third, much like Therius, couldn’t seem to believe that the other two were arguing at a time like this. “Look, he’s not Raven Tail, he’s armed, and he’s not running around like a scared sheep, so he’s probably an enemy. Even if he’s not, can we have some fun now, please?” The prospect of ‘fun’ seemed to stop the other two from fighting, the second one grinning wildly. “Yeah, wandering this sinking city was getting boring,” fire gathering in his hand before he launched a fire ball at Therius, the Blond dodging to the side, barely getting out of the way of the blast. Therius remained silent as he looked around for a way to get off the ground, without getting stopped by these three in the process. “Three verses one, huh…” Therius reading himself for more attacks. //late post is late x.x// Alastor shuddered a bit as he saw C'thun simply fall into dust, Excel completely getting lost in sadness as she thought he had somehow thinking he was dead, Alastor knowing that he had simply returned back to the netherrealm, Alastor quickly giving Excel a reassuring hug "relax alright? Its not that bad, remember what i told you about spirits" he spoke, the girl had to remember that a spirit never truly died, and never just dissapeared to them. Kissing her back shortly as she ran off with Shadow, Alastor hoping she would do alright and not get hurt. Shadow gliding along the air following Excel, they had to find where she were, her image had flickered right? There had to be some catch or some twist, otherwise they'd have to just hope she were able to be punched good! Honestly Shadow felt like punching something. At the same time it seemed that water rose around the streets, crap this place was really sinking, but seriously what could he do?! Alastor taking a deep breath trying to think clearer, he had to trust everyone else to take care of the city, he had no way of helping anymore than a civilian could in that matter. At the same time the woman seemed to dogde his shots as well as the knights attack, her words teasing them as Alastor sighed silently, he couldn't fly without Shadow, and Shadow was protecting Excel while they searched for the mages trickery, if there even were any. He could see them, but they didnt seem to find much. meanwhile Shadow watched as Excel ran up to another mage, seeming to be nice and asking if the guy was bad, Shadow? Not so much, quickly trying to swoop over and grab the mages hand, twisting it onto his back to make him answer, hey, when Alastor wasn't around he could be a little more physically persausive right? Although he quickly stopped as the fellow answered, sighing almost saddened that he couldn't beat the guy up deciding to just follow and react to what Excel did next, maybe she and him could somehow help the city from going down? Still trying to figure out what to do Alastor could feel the water really were going to get in the way, quickly jumping onto a nearby crate and onto a wall with plenty of grabbable things, useing his agility and climbing abilities to overcome the problems on the ground, besides if he could get onto a roof he would have enough movement capabilities. //Summary: Alastor comforts Excel, Shadow tries to quickly grab and hold Oberon although stops as the guy admits being 'good' and will react accordingly to Excel. Meanwhile Alastor tries to climb up along the walls of a building with plenty of windows etc, to get good footing// |

Excel blinked when the birdy man told her that he wasn't a baddie and that he was helping silly hat guy in finding out who was sinking the city, along with stopping them. Excel felt no threat from them, so Excel decided to tag along with them. Excel wants to help! Master Alastor his fighting some bad lady, saying that shems an illusion or something and that the real baddie may be hiding somewhere! So Excel and Master Shadow have to find her so Master Shadow can beat her up! Please let Excel help you guys stop the Raven Tail baddies! Excel may not be very strong, but Master Alastor can break bones with a flick of the finger! Hems very strong! Excel did her best to show that she wanted to be helpful. The girl may be useless in combat, but her magic can be effective distractions while Shadow beat the living crap out of anyone who stood in their way. She watched as silly hat guy worked on a chain of some sort. Excel watched curiously, she being greatful that her boots were water resistant. She looked down at Shadow as he showed on the surface of the water next to her shadow, she shrugging at him, not really sure of what she should do now. |

Kazuya sat in a crouch on the edge of the buildings roof following Alexis pointing out the presence of the three men in the street below, some twenty meters down stream (because really by now the street itself couldn't be seen beneath the gently lapping water). He was relieved that Alexis hadn't pushed for them to go and investigate what could be considered the 'big leagues' battles happening elsewhere. So whilst no legends would be sung about them for cleansing the streets of dark mage thugs, at least they could still contribute to the cause in the long run. Even as he watched the trio making their way up the street though, a fourth figure came onto the scene and even from his vantage point, Kazuya could immediately discern two things. The first was that he wasn't just another civilian, as all but a handful of those would have moved to the designated evacuation zones, with the smaller handful probably holed up inside their homes. Kazuya couldn't really say he blamed them for not abandoning their homes, they probably didn't realize the danger that the city could actually sink either, such was the preposterous nature of such an Audacious move by the Raven Tail guild. But turning back to his inspection of the new arrival, the second thing he noticed was that he seemed to be- if not opposing the mages- at the very least not on the same side. This was made abundantly clear as one of the Dark mages launched a fireball at the Blonde haired figure, who managed to evade the attack. Getting to his feet, Kazuya spoke without turning around to look at Alexis, his eyes tracking a path across the rooftops that would best allow them to make a timely intervention. "We'd better get down there." Then he began to jog along the roof line in the direction of the scuffle. Picking up speed as he reached the end of the rooftop, he took to the air to clear the 4 meter gap to the next building. This left him perfectly placed above where the action was taking place. Hoping that Alexis would have the sense to snipe from the rooftops, Kazuya took a deep breath before dropping off the side of the building and falling to the action some 6 meters or so below. The fire mage had both hands raised above his head like someone doing star jumps, flames swirling around each hand in preparation to be thrown at the unfortunate boy who had come across their path [Therius] when a fats moving shape crashed into him from above and he was replaced by a large splash of water that temporarily obscured him completely from the sight from both the other two mages and Therius himself. When the water died down less than a second later, the fire mage could be seen lying face up in the water, his eyes spinning in his head in a concussion induced daze, while Kazuya stood beside him, hand on his sword at his waist. "Mind if I... drop in?" He asked, the mischievous tone in his voice matched by the wry smile on his face. Kazuya now stood facing Therius whilst there was a dark mage between them on his right and another on his left, so they were almost like points on a compass. "So it's 2 on 2 now?" One of the dark mages growled. "Well no matter, you won't get us with a cheap shot like you did to Brian!" To this Kazuya cocked his head in what appeared to be genuine confusion. "I don't remember saying it was 2 on 2..." It was at that precise moment, if the gods were smiling on him, that Alexis would choose to make her presence known in some spectacular display of accuracy and coordination. As for the boy who was now presumably his ally, introductions would have to wait a little longer until these mages were down for the count. The important stuff

As the blond unlocked the door, he used the entire weight of his upper body to thrust against the door in order to slam the door wide open, however as he opened and gazed upon the room, what he saw was something that he expected, and with good reason too. The room that seemed to be in a writhing like motion with magical power…housing nothing? The green coated youngster couldn’t help but step into the room for a better observation, though his sight only made it very apparent that there was no one other than himself in the room, to which he found it rather annoying, though in the end he just shrugged and walked, however, as he walked out, he had failed to notice the finely concealed shadow that was on the ceiling, grinning menacingly, and as the blond walked out, the shadow felt the urge to follow him. The blond casually walked down the stairs, without even a care in the world, and while he did this, the strange shadowy creature floated behind him, keeping his distance as he did so, though, while mid way down the stairs, the strange entity crept into the blonds own shadow, and took on its form, though the strange eerie noise that followed prompted the blond to turn around…but he saw nothing so he resumed his walk. The blond managed to reach the bottom floor of the café fairly quickly, although as he walked to the door, something strange had happened. His dark shadow began to pull itself from the ceiling, rising and rising until it stood at the same height as the blond, though, the shadow slowly peeled back to reveal a fairly slender man, with a crooked grin on his smug face, he had believed that the blond didn’t even notice him, and reached out slowly so that he could grab the blonds neck. “How long are you going to do that..?” muttered the blond calmly, before causing his fist to crackle like lightning, then begun to glow a bright yellow, with his back still turned to the perpetrator. “Embodiment” The strange shadow man was dumbfounded, he had believed his sneak and kill strategy was flawless! Though his few hesitant moments were to be his downfall as with a quick pivotal movement coupled with his lightning enveloped fist, and in an instant, the lightning charged fist collided with the side of the hesitant mans cheek, though at that point blurry, the mans face could be seen to have broken into a irk of pain, before falling to the ground, unconscious. “…Man he’s weak…”, muttered the blond, as he shook his fist then proceeded to go open the front door, though what he saw next was quite surprising… |

Rooftop jumping was not a safe activity. For all those at home who see the Knights of Fiore as a group to imitate or follow please know that this act is not for you to reenact later. Every year millions of people die from jumping across rooftops. The next time you or one of your friends suggest it as an activity for when you get board, immediately follow the decision-making system known as S.P.L.A.T. - Stop, Peg, Lay-back, Assess, Terminate. What this means is "Stop" and wait when you get the feeling something is wrong. "Peg" the issue on the head and focus on it. "Lay-back" because all the best decision making occurs when you're comfortable. "Assess" alternatives that give the same result as the issue. "Terminate" destroy the problem with ever ounce of your being and never worry about it again. With these five steps you can realize when something's wrong and what best you can do about it. At times like these though, it was nessacary to ignore the S.P.L.A.T. method. The facts were that she and Kazuya needed to get to the three dark mages in a hurry and since the streets were flooding with water, walking there wasn't going to happen. Waiting until she saw her fellow Private take off and land on the other building's roof, did Alexis line up for her jump. Running and then taking a leap, it felt strange because there was nothing holding her up in the air. The gap was wide and she wasn't sure if she would be able to push herself across. It was one thing to look at the gap and think that you could, but to actually do it was another. If she made it then it would be all fine and dandy with her going to the sceane of the crime, but if she were to be off by even the slightest margin then she would plummet down to the streets. The water was getting high, but wasn't deep enough to break that kind of fall and would surely hurt. Distancing herself from the edge, Alexis took off into a run. Right before the end of it she leaps, the suspense of whether she would or wouldn't make it pulsed rapidly through her blood. Then without any issue at all, Alexis landed on her feet safe and sound. Well that was easier then I thought. Kazuya took off down the side of the building to the commotion just below them. It was clear that he wanted her to stay here with her guns and snipe, but the pistols Alexis sported weren't going to be the best to snipe. Though if she got right up on the edge and took an absurd amount of time to aim then she could get off a few shots. Drawing on gun she got low to the ground and leaned over the edge of the building, to get as close as she could while holding the gun steady. If she ran low in this gun then she could just swap out the bullets in her other one. Oh! Kazuya is going to owe me so much ammo money when this is all over. Alexis thought as she lined up her gun. Below a fire mage had both his hands raised, making him look like someone doing star jumps, only with flames swirling around each hand for a sinister purpose as opposed to reaching up into the sky to grab the balls of lights. Kazuya dropped in, making an entrance for himself. The splash he caused made the flaming fire mage... cool off. He stood facing the blonde boy who didn't seem to be a dark mage, or at least didn't act the part. Alexis couldn't quite hear what they were saying down below, but from the way the situation was going, it was time to start firing some bullets into the mess. Taking aim at the dark mage on Kazuya's left she fired off a shot. It missed by the fraction of a margin and caused a small splash in the water. Alexis swore as now they knew where she was, but in the surprise of a new arrival she managed to get another shot in on the person's leg. Actually from where she was, Alexis couldn't be 100% sure about where it hit, but the fellow taking a stumble down lead her to believe that it was the legs. Before Alexis could take aim at the other one of Kazuya's right, he crouched low behind him and the blond boy. Now the two were in the way and she couldn't get a proper shot without maybe hitting one or both of them. She focused in on the one mage who was trying to keep on his toes so that she couldn't get any sort of accurate shot off anyway. Kazuya was going to have to handle the guy otherwise they would be playing "Can't touch this" until Coreosis became Atlantis. Hopefully the mage didn't have any sort of crazy water related magic that would allow him to make full use of the flooding landscape around him to put up an interesting rumble. As for the other guy, the blond, if he was against them then she would be quick to aim her barrel in his direction. |

//OOC: Omg no one has posted in the event for 3 days! 0.o// Oberon listened as the girl dribbled on, what the hell was she talking about! Was she insane? No scratch that, she is insane it is just a question of how much so that she is. Oberon stretched his wings and raised an eyebrow at how she said there was a 'baddie' that her master was fighting. An illusion mage perhaps? Oberon shrugged as he listened to the girls story, somehow he doubted that this girls master could break bones with the flick of one finger. Then again that shadow she had on her wasn't exactly normal and didn't seem like something she could make by herself, "Perhaps she's telling the truth?" Yin asked as he and Yang listened in on everything that the girl said through Oberon's mind. Blitz however didn't seem as happy that Oberon had made a new acquaintance yelling to keep his eyes open and stop chatting witht he girl in front of him. "Its cool, i think that she's okay, not a RT mage thats for sure, just keep doing what your doing. Think strong thoughts and lift with those knees, you'll be thin and strong in no time" he yelled back to give support to the fellow Take-Over mage. Oberon was surprised, so far they haven't received any form of opposition for the mages of RT as they attempted to weld the chain back together using Blitz's far superior form. Perhaps if they were lucky this might just work, and he wouldn't have to learn to swim with his wings hopefully. |
