There have always been hostilities between Dark Mages, between the Guilds and the Dark Guilds in particular, and yet for a long time there has been no active confrontations between the various groups. For a long time the Guilds have been at an impasse, all afraid to move against another for fear of retaliation from a third, and yet it seems that with recent months more and more things are coming to a head. Guild Masters have been heard giving strident proclamations against the other Guilds openly in their Halls, S- and A-Class Mages have been taking missions in hostile cities, attacking civilians while there and then vanishing, blaming it on local criminals. Well, the other Guilds, all of the Dark Guilds, have been getting more and more tired of it and now, simultaneously, all three Guilds are attacking one of the others. Mages from each Guild have been seen moving to enemy cities, preparing to attack once and for all... |

Oberon Led Zepplin was bored out of his mind. He was sitting in a hotel room looking out over the beautiful and slightly ominous Celadon lakes. The winged demon sighed as he payed back in his bed. There really was nothing to do as the entire city seemed overall rather dull to the winged boy. The lakes were pretty and all but in the end they were all one big god damn tourist trap. Then again there was Tartaros, a dark guild he had been keeping an eye on recently along with the other two. He groaned as he collapsed back in his bed with the newspaper hovering above his head. It was the same old stuff as usual, "what were you expecting a man with free bacon?" Yangzami asked the black haired boy. Oberon smiled, you were never truly lonely when your soul had separate personalities. Although they could be annoying as hell at times, "I heard that" the twin spirit murmured. Ignoring the two guardians the boy returned his attention too the fragile newspaper in his hands. Just as he expected: murder, comics, and the dark guilds tensions growing massively. Just another day in the office, the boy turned his head and looked out the window into the gray sky and the never ending lakes beneath the floating city. There really was nothing too do in here besides whine about how bored he was, so it seemed sensible to remedy that. "I'm impressed most of the time you go, ugh bored ugh food ugh sleep" The flame demon cackled creeping. Oberon exited the small hotel pushing through the spinning doors. It was enough to accomidate him for now. However he was faced with a new problem you see. He had absolutely no idea where the he'll he was going, "Jesus you are hopeless" Yinzami complained to the black winged boy. "Well if I stand here all day I'll never get anywhere and that just won't do" Oberon said stretching out his arms before looking up and down the busy street. Why was he here again? Oh yeah something about Raven Tail, "We were looking for Raven Tail scouts? I can't trust you to tie your shoes can I?" he said in a sarcastic tone. Oberon scowled at no one in particular before walking forwards up the side of the street with his wings hidden, tucked and covered by his gray jacket. It was a cold day and the fact that the air surged through much if the city didn't exactly help his cause either in staying warm. Although that was not enough to keep the boys spirits down as his energy and enthusiasm had already reached new heights as he carried on. He passed a young couple who were kissing passionately, the boy chuckled at the man's foolish actions earning him a curse and shout as the moron must have heard him muttering to himself. "Ha ha ha, humans are a riot" Yang said as he observed all that was going on around him. Still though there was a tension in the air all around him no matter where he went. Everyone seemed scared and nervous and often walked quickly for no reason glancing over their shoulders as if they were paranoid enough to believe that someone was following them. "It's fear, a trait that most have, they are scared of something" he said, "or someone.." the black haired boy replied. It was true that tensions were much worse then the media was letting on. Lord if the common people knew how bad it really was they would be running for the hills if they knew what was going to come next. Something BIG was going down today in Coreopsis, his informants had told him that much, something between Raven Tail and Tartaros. Although it was so hushed up that no one could clarify what it was! Their only lead was that it was BIG that it was going to change things for a very long time to come. Oberon was not exactly the type of person to take sides in this sort of thing..., but he did want to show off for Raven Tail, and this seemed like a good idea at the moment. He walked on until he finally reached the entrance of the building he was the most wary if in the entire city....Tartaros guild ...,His day was about to get interesting, "Intresting, more like deadly!" a nagging voice said, "shut up Yang!" [[OOC: sorry it's short]] |

Sinjin lay on his bed in silence. He was better off staying the confines of his small room in that small apartment complex. Correction. He was merely a boarder of that cramped room, having only a bed placed by the window and a small closet to the other side, where only a few of the golden haired youth’s articles where found. He wasn’t fond of buying too many clothing after all. He was contended with what he had brought to that place, though an occasional shopping didn’t hurt him, as long as he knew not to spend all of the money he really had. That aside, the youth wore only his black sleeveless shirt and pants as he remained still on the bed. “I wonder if he’ll be there today.” The boy let out what seemed to be a long and tiresome sigh. Found on both shoulders were two symbols tattooed on him in red and black. On his right was the crest of his blood magic, a symbol that he had learned long before he had even stepped foot outside his hometown. The other one on his left was the guild symbol of Tartaros. That’s right. After that eventful encounter with Ryo where he had witnessed the redhead’s abilities and found him rather fascinating and a kinder man than what most people would think, Sinjin had sought to follow that man, hoping that in that process, he too would be able to find what it was that he had been looking for so long. And with that initial goal to follow Ryo, he ended up training hard just to get into the said guild – one of dangerous personages and yet, amusingly alluring to Sinjin. That was probably why he didn’t feel so left out when he was just the new guy in town. Not to mention that he could clearly see the difference between his strength and the others, but instead of intimidating him, it only bred the longing for more power. “But then… I don’t know what to say this time around.” He uttered and then sighed, rolling sideways to let his cheeks feel what remains of the cold mattress that he lay upon. Indeed, he didn’t feel so much of an outcast within the guild as he originally thought he would, but he would often need to find a reason as to why he should be around the guild hall. With everyone about him stronger and for Tartaros to be known as a rather destructive guild, chaos even within the guild hall was common and he didn’t want to be caught up in it like some unlucky fellow. “Oh well, maybe Shun-shun is around.” He concluded as he finally pushed himself off the bed and went across the small room, about two steps only before reaching the closet doors and sliding them open to find his rusty red yukata inside. He took it out and wore it with the right arm not tucked into the sleeve, and a dark colored obi wrapped around the waist to keep it in place. That pretty much left his guild tattoo hidden under the sleeves that was in place. Perhaps it showed much of his pride of his own blood magic despite his own fear of it as he could publicly display the magic’s crest, and that since he was still the new guy in the guild, he left his guild tattoo hidden, in case he does something stupid wherein he could avoid embarrassing his guild. “My guild, huh?” He murmured as he tightened the obi before looking back to the room and out the window. It was going to be another quiet day in Coreopsis as he thought, but he was hoping that he could finally catch the elusive Ryo in the guid hall this time around. Other than that, he might as well catch up with his recently made friend, Shunsuke. Who knows what other fun mischief they could probably come up with and wile the time away just to satisfy both their curious selves. He quickly got into his boots and then ran out from the room, leaving the small apartment complex at the far western stretch of the city to head for the guild hall. Hopefully, he wouldn’t get thrown amidst the chaos this time around – he grinned at the thought and his excitement to enter such a lively hall intensified. |

Knell had heard about the story's of what was going on. The multiple mage fights, between the guilds. It was despicable to him if anything. All they where doing was causing trouble for not just themselves but everyone around them. Yet who was left to pick up the mess from all the damage they had caused, oh yeah thats right...The Knights of Fiore. Having to pick up after other people was one thing Knell didn't like doing let alone having to help injured people or help rebuild shops that mages ended up breaking down. He was more then happy when they deployed him to Coreopsis to try and reduce the destruction done to it in case any fights broke out. Less fighting and more control over the people fighting meant less stuff to clean up after the big disagreement was over. He didn't really care what guild was dark or light, its that they where messing up everything and stuff needed to be put to an end. However if anything he did think that the dark guilds where a little more annoying to deal with then the light guilds. Not only for the fact that most of them where...well evil but that they usually ended up making bigger messes or problems then the light guilds. Even so the light guilds messed up tons of stuff too. Even so Knell was just happy to be put to use and stretch his legs. Getting to stop some people from destroying the city was just a bonus. As of the moment Knell had everything with him except his pet Kitsune which he kept save at home. He stood looking out at the sky with his suit on wondering what the day might bring. |

What is this? War you say? Excel had been hearing word of a guild war between the dark mages. She pouted and snuggled her dog, Menchi, at the thought. The last thing she needed was to be caught up in a war of the darkies. She just wanted to find Master Alastor and Master Shadow. If anything went down, they could protect her. Excel was dressed in a rather normalish outfit. A long red coat that came to her mid thighs was the most noticeable. The coat itself had white sleeves and black stripes in pairs at where her hips would be. With that, she had on black leggings and knee high white go go boots. She had a pair of reddish orange biker gloves on her hands and a creme colored scarf around her neck. Atop her head was a pair of motorcyclist's goggles with black frames. Excel held Menchi on her head, she skipping along while humming a jolly tune. She was glad that she switched to the light side now that the dark mages were supposedly at war. She wasn't really cut out for being a bad girl anyway. Master Alastor turned her good in a rather impressive way, so now she was eternally loyal to him in that sense. Plus she had a bit of a crush on the guy. Despite the age difference, Excel's childlike mind didn't really see what they had done to be wrong. It was fun! Yay fun! For now, the girl just skipped through Coreopsis in search of her cute little master and his shadow. AAAALAAASTOOOOOR! MASTER AAAAAAALASTOOOOOR!!! Excel's outfit of the day

So far Ecclair was bored, sure the whole premise of getting to beat up on some dark mages sounded interesting and fun but when you were doing nothing but walking the streets of Coreopsis looking for signs of them it was anything but. So far the day had gone by without the knight even having to draw her weapon to her side at all, a few petty criminals that had pretty much been scared shitless by the mere appearance of Ecclair and her knight partner Aiden was about all that had been found and it was beginning to wear on her nerves. Sure it might have been wrong to say that the pink haired woman had gotten her hopes up when told of a possible dark guild confrontation in the city but it was pretty close to the truth, of course with that said she had never thought that it would be on the magnitude that would take place and nor would she have felt the same way if she knew it was to be more than a few mages having a scuffle. As she walked the street she found herself on Ecclair’s aqua eyes scanned the nearby store fronts and the people that lined the pathways while their own eyes followed her in return, criminal or not not many could resist staring at a fully armoured knight let alone one quite as unusual as herself. It wasn’t everyday you would see a woman that looked like the Bellumese warrior let alone one dressed in such an unusual manner of armour and the people of Coreopsis were finding it rather eye catching, of course Ecclair was used to such things and wasn’t put off by the whole affair but it at times could get on her nerves. Ecclair reached a junction in the roads and just as she did so a rather loud and dare she say it obnoxious female voice rang throughout through the otherwise relatively silent street air, Master Alastor? That sounded odd to anyone’s ears and so the knight turned her gaze to the woman’s back as she skipped down the road yelling, it was better to put a face to any suspicious behaviour in the long run after all and master sounded like something a mage would be saying if she had to say so herself. The blonde woman that the knight’s eyes matched to the voice didn’t seem like she would have been part of a dark guild to Ecclair’s rather experienced eyes but either way it’s not like it mattered, it was highly unlikely that she would be of any threat to either her or her fellow knight’s that patrolled the city even if she tried to be. What fellow knights I hear you asking yourself? Kazuya Onizaki and a fellow private knight of which Ecclair had no reason to know the name of were patrolling the other side of the neighbourhood while Ecclair and her knight partner Aiden Vakarian had this side of the neighbourhood under wraps, she and her partner had split up several blocks ago to cover a greater area however they were to meet up once again once their streets merged once more. Come to think of it, that moment was going to be very soon or so it should have been. Shining in the air but one hundred metres ahead of her the sign was easily read by Ecclair and it told her the point at which they would meet up again was at hand, Aiden didn’t seem to be there as of yet however it didn’t worry the female knight in the slightest. She knew that Aiden was strong enough and skilled enough to take on anything he would have come across on such a boring patrol, but she did wonder if Kishu was behaving himself for the younger knight he was accompanying. As the pink haired woman leant against the metallic pole that held the street sign high in the air she folded her arms and closed her eyes, if she was to be waiting for Aiden to arrive then she would do so comfortably at least. Gentle winds blew past her rustling her hair and the plume of pristine white feathers that rested at her side and the sun shone down on her skin gently as she waited for the excited sounds of Kishu’s chirps to reach her ears, he would no doubt start to chirp once he sensed Ecclair getting close and to be honest that was half the reason she had given the small bird to Aiden in the first place. Last thing she wanted was for the blue haired knight to get lost and with Kishu there to act as a chirping GPS of sorts it wasn’t likely to happen, or so she hoped. |

wooo, chance to study dark mages in action, Alastor was curious on why dark mages acted like they did, always seeming to be so silent induviduals, so inapproachable, and this was going to be his chance to stop a few and maybe learn something about them. Though he had to do what he was here to do, to avoid anyone going to get hurt, sure he was only officially a C rank mage but heck he was a B rank strenght wise by now, he just didnt complete many missions, so far nothing seemed to have gone down as he walked through the streets, his shield ready to be grabbed and his gun tightly secured to his back, something oddly recognisable hit his ears as he walked alone. Thaaaaat was Excel No doubt Excel He began giggling, she was always as childish as he could be, and even if she seemed to insist on calling him master she was really fun! "IM HEEERREE!" He yelled back snapping his fingers for Shadow to go find her, Shadow flying off to try find the interesting labrat with its tiny dog. Finally seeing her and deciding to bring her over, lifting her by her feet rather cartoonishly, more like she was a statue than a girl, although he had a feeling she didn't mind as he placed her down as they came close to Alastor, who instantly hugged her. "How have you been Excel?!" He spoke excited and happy, glad to see her again mostly because if she was here now it was good he was near her so he could protect her if need be. Hey it counted under damagde control right? |

Blitz yawned as he wandered along a nearby rooftop, eyeing the streets below. This entire thing was ridiculous, in his opinion. While he wasn't the highest ranked mage in the guild - something he swore to change as soon as possible - he felt he deserved better than to be slung out to some love-clouded lake city for the whole night on some hunch from the higher ups. Blitz sighed. There was a major dark guild right here in the city, for god's sake. Of course there was going to be some trouble eventually, but he didn't see why he personally had to dribble his night away watching lovebirds get on and off ferries all night. Of course, if there was a fight to be had, his attitude would shift in a big, big hurry. Combat was something that Blitz lived for - he relished every second of battle, using his abilities to their limits. But this town, aside from the occasional late night love birds, wasn't very suspicious-looking. He even saw others of note from other light guilds wandering the streets, and the odd knight. Guess that hunch must be a pretty darn strong one, he though, stretching his arms above his head as he pushed on his lower back while leaning forward, popping a few of the vertebrae in his spine - it helped loosen him up a bit, but the noise always weirded people out since it came from his spine, so he politely refrained from popping it anywhere in public, for the sake of not getting looks. Laying down on his back against a chimney, he mentally tried to resign himself to a long, boring night of glorified guard duty. |

Kazuya stifled a sigh as he found himself standing on Coreopsis's western dock front. Around him, civilians bustled to and fro going about the business. They paid little heed to the tall young knight in their midst who was looking increasingly impatient. It was as though he was waiting for something- or someone a few astute passerby thought to themselves and they would be correct on both counts. First of all, the whole reason that Kazuya was here was because the Knights of Fiore had received word of rumors pertaining to a dark guild war erupting inside this city. Besides himself, there were three other knights that he knew personally who had been assigned here as well. The first two were his superior ranking officers- Aiden Vakarian and Ecclair Farron both of whom were somewhere on the other side of the city. The third was Alexis Day, a knight of his own rank and experience but also the cause of his current impatience, for she was nowhere to be seen when she should have already been here quite some time ago. Sure, it was probably his mistake in hindsight for agreeing to meet in the shopping district of all places, but he hadn't fully considered the likelihood that this particular girl could be sidetracked by the number of clothing boutiques, jewellery stores and any number of any other shops that could catch her eye for whatever reason. Shielding his eyes from the sun overhead with his left arm and placing the other on his side, he looked up into clear blue sky and yawned. They'd been here for a while now and there hadn't been a single sign of trouble- magical or otherwise. Had the information been wrong? It was probably still too early to tell, but he supposed it would ultimately be better for everyone involved if it proved to be false. Who knew how much trouble a battle between members of two dark guilds could cause to the town and those residing in it. But that begged the question, why would two dark guilds choose to fight in such a heavily populated area? If they had issues with each other, why not settle it in some remote region like a forest or the wilderness? Maybe even when fighting each other, they relished the chance to inflict harm on the innocents around them. That did seem to be how most of them operated and it sickened Kazuya with the frivolity and Juvenile nature of it all. But for now, that was a secondary concern. Where in gods name was Alexis? He'd taken his eyes off of her for what? Ten minutes? He turned away from the water and surveyed the street and the long row of shop fronts beyond it with it's various alleys and side streets branching off into the cities heart. Sweeping his gaze back and forth, she was nowhere to be seen and he ran a hand through his hair with a faint smile. She was always like this. Even in their very first mission together in Raiders of the Lost Arc she'd been the last to arrive to every meeting, so whilst the waiting was boring it wasn't out of character and so Kazuya turned back to the sea and stretched lazily. If he'd known how little time he had before his peace and quiet was to be shattered he'd have been shocked, but for the time being the city was at peace, totally unaware of the horror that was about to descend upon it. |

The youth was on his way towards the guild hall when he decided to make a quick turn to find his favorite food stand along the quieter sides of Coreopsis. He watched intently as the vendor whisked along the mixture of flour, eggs and water. He had come a little too early that the man was just in the middle of preparations as it seemed. In fact, he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. He had always been curious as to how those crispy fish-shaped pastries were made. Cooking them was rather intricate and he couldn’t help but find himself as an observant watcher for the vendor. Well, at least the older man found his presence not so irritable. Unlike the other kids, Sinjin was actually patient. But it wasn’t just that artful way of preparing the batter that would be used for making the delicious taiyaki that got Sinjin so interested. It was more like his stomach demanded it. His face would shine in bright red at the sound of its hungry growl, and even the taiyaki vendor would chuckle at his earnest endeavor to simply watch as it was being cooked. “Don’t worry, son, it won’t be that long before it’s cooked.” The man said at the third time Sinjin’s stomach growled like an impatient cat. “Oh yeah, sorry about that. I just happened to have skipped a few meals.” The youth quickly replied. A few more minutes and the red bean paste was added and the iron panels closed to cook. The delicious aroma flew into the air and Sinjin was about to go nuts at thinking that he was so close to finally be able to taste it. Once he persevered through the process, he was rewarded with a bag of taiyaki, freshly made. He was rather happy with the outcome and couldn’t help but to pick one out from the bag and take a bite. He would occasionally fan his mouth with his hand at the tongue burning sensation of the lush and juicy mixture of the soft batter and the red bean paste inside the taiyaki, but he wouldn’t let simple burns stop him from partaking of the succulent food. And when he was done eating one of those fish-shaped pancakes, he let out a relieved sigh and smiled. “I suppose I should let Shun-shun have some when I meet him later.” He uttered as he couldn’t to walk down the street. And as he walked, he came to a sudden stop when he noticed someone who obviously wasn’t from around town to be standing by a post. A woman in armor and with an air of nobility – he presumed. From the way she was donning the armor, he almost assumed that she was some sort of an ex-quip mage like those he had met in the past. But at a closer look, she had that confidence and a rather striking authoritative look in her eyes. Could she be one of those said knights? Sinjin couldn’t tell as he never met one before. However, he did stare at her for a long while, even as he continued to walk along the streets. It was a fascinating encounter and his inner curiosity simply begged him to try and mingle with the person. But it was too late to stop himself as he had already walked up to her and reached out a taiyaki. “Would you like some?” He said. “They sell one of the best taiyakis in all of Fiore here.” taiyaki And just exactly why was he there, talking to a random person so casually like he knew the other? No idea. As far Sinjin was concerned, he was attracted to the woman, not aesthetically, but because of her mysterious appearance in such armor that made her stand out of the crowd. Then again, hasn’t there been too many people around town lately than normal? |
