Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

[Graded][D-Rank] Catch That Man!

Sion patted his jacket pockets for a moment as he spoke to the man. 'That little witch...' he thought to himself when he noticed the woman had stolen the little pouch of money he always had on him. Not that it really mattered -most of Sion's money was safe and sound in the bank- but he still felt a tiny sting to his pride. He scoffed. It wasn't like he wouldn't be able to track her down later anyway. Plus, mission rewards, even for D-Rank, were about ten times the money the woman had stolen. But if he wanted the money, he had better haul ass and find the man.

He dashed down the alley where the man had indicated Archie had went. Sion grinned. Playing cat and mouse was no trouble for him. If anything, his speed was his greatest asset, and this man couldn't run forever. Coreopsis... He knew the floating city like the back of his hand, though Archie probably did as well. This street was a big one, an important one that indicated the borders between the barely-floating sheds of the slums and the giant fortresses of the rich district that could withstand assault from an angry S-Rank Tartaros Mage.

Sion stopped at the end of the street, the same place Archie had stopped seconds ago. The rich district was more safe, but had much less places to hide, let alone for a man dressed in clothes that were subpar for those kinds of environments. The slums, on the other hand, were a great, but dangerous hiding place. Still, knowing Tartaros' reputation, the man probably thought taking a smaller risk to dodge the bigger one was the best choice... Sion grinned again and ran into the slums. He wasn't afraid of beggars, thieves and cutthroats. Those all worked for Tartaros anyway...

Sarcasm. Because beating the shit out of people is illegal.

Archie tore down the street, past the faceless members of the crowds and despite nearly knocking several people over on their asses, he managed to avoid slowing down at all. It wasn't long before he emerged into the slums proper. The stench was the first thing that gave it away. Dirty, unwashed bodies permeated the air and Archie wrinkled his nose but kept running. As corrupt was the place was and despite Tartaros's hold over most of the city, he still knew a few places he could hide and slip away. Cliched as it may, be that place was the sewer. A veritable maze of pipes and tunnels that one could make use of if they didn't mind the rats and the smell that took the better part of a week to erase.

But before such drastic measures needed to be taken, he ducked off the main path, which was typified by the makeshift paved pathway almost hidden under inches of... Well best not to wonder exactly what it was that covered the path and made it reek so badly and into one of many mazes of makeshift huts that looked like many of which could topple over when faced with nothing more than a stern look. Many were abandoned and picking one at random, Archie crouched within, holding his nose against the stench and watching the way he had come for signs of pursuit.

After so many attempts in the past of a similar nature to this one, Archie had become rather adept at dealing with situations like this. It was never easy though, Tartaros seemed to have it's fingers in pies every way he turned. he could trust nobody and rely on even fewer. This made him hard to keep tabs on as he had no friends to ask and kept to no regular patterns beside his early morning walk- which he would now have to change as well. he was at a disadvantage though, if he was being followed his pursuer would know his ace whilst he would not know theirs. Which was why he'd come this way. Somebody else not from the slums would stick out like dogs balls here and he'd know immediately who (if anyone) was after him

Sion growled as his quick pace was soon slowed down to a near-halt as he pushed his way through armies of beggars, swarming the rich-looking insanity mage. "Will you just... Fuck off!" he snarled, pushing one of the beggars back into the crowds with unnecessary force, knocking him into another beggar, who tried to grab two others as he fell down, and soon a large, fumbling mass of dirty limbs formed to his right. Sion looked upon the tangled vagabonds with disgust in his eyes.

Yet this unfortunate accident made him realize just how much he stood out in the crowd. With a grimace, he pulled his robe off and tossed it into the crowds. He had a spare back home. A large amount of the beggars ran after it, and Sion shifted his eyes to the beggar he had shoved before. He lifted him off the ground by his collar, holding him a few inches above the ground despite his own short length. "Your coat. Give it to me." he snarled, indicating the long, stained, patched-up and ragged coat the man was wearing. What better disguise than the real thing, after all?

A few moments later, he was trudging through the slums, his eyes darting from alley to alley, looking for the man he had seen only once on a picture, but who had been imprinted into his memory clear as glass. He had untied his usual ponytail, letting his now dirty-looking white hair hang free. He made sure to splash some muddy puddles to make sure his pants didn't look too clean, and soon his disguise as the lowest wretch, one of the pariah of Coreopsis, was complete as he stalked the streets, the long, dirty coat hiding his predator-like step underneath.

From his position behind the decrepit shack, Archie watched the passerby like a hawk for signs of pursuit, yet saw nothing out of the ordinary. Had they given up? Maybe they were just slow... Just as he was beginning to think he'd given the Tartaros goon the slip, he spied something out of place- a robe that was largely free of dirt and dried mud. The man wearing it looked much like a beggar, but that robe was a clear give away. Smirking, Archie wondered at how they could let such stupid people out into a mages guild before stepping out onto the street and merging back into the crowd.

Knowing where his 'pursuer' was meant that he could follow him discreetly and thus avoid him while keeping an eye on him at the same time. If only he'd known the awful truth and that the person he was so smugly and falsely assured was the Tartaros mage was nothing of the sort. But how was he to know any better? So it was that the game of cat and mouse shifted to Sions favor- so long as he made good use of it.

Sion grimaced as he trudged through the streets. A guy like him shouldn't be forced into places like this. Still, once he got this bastard, he would be one step closer to C-Rank, which would mean he could finally do exciting missions. He had seen some hanging on the board that the others seemed to dodge, either out of fear or because it didn't fit them, such as one that included investigating a forest where animals had been found with gruesome wounds, and people had come back insane and paranoid... Yeah, that's the kind of stuff he wanted to be doing. Not this.

He snickered when he saw the man who managed to grab his coat get swarmed by beggars. The homeless dudes swarmed their colleague, oblivious of the fact he was just as poor as they were. Though Sion caught something strange from the corner of his eye. One man fled the shack he was in in a hurried fashion instead of walking up to the 'rich' man and begging him for money. What strange behaviour for a place like this, where everyone rushed at people at the smallest sign of money.

He smirked and blended in with the crowds, observing the observer. After catching several glimpses of his face, Sion confirmed this was Archie, the man he was chasing. He would wait to see what this man would do. As soon as he would go to a less crowded place, Sion would swoop in and strike. He would have to hold back, though. By now, he was strong enough to damage bones with a mere punch. He was supposed to extort this man, not kill him. What good would he be if he was dead, after all?

Taking over by request of Zeneus.

Archie was being very cocky right now. Blending in with the crowd in order to try and entrap the dark mage, and kill him off so he would have extra time to either pay his dues, or escape to somewhere far away, where the guild would be unable to affect him in any way. The crowd was pushing close together, and Archie was almost certain he wasn't being seen by the dark mage, he was lulled into a sense of security, thinking he had the upper hand, unfortunately however, this wasn't the case. The Tartaros mage had already identified Archie, but they were still both at an impasse, waiting to get to some sort of quiet area so they could murder each other. Well, Sion perhaps not, he had a job to do, but Archie was going to stab the insane rat in the skull for sure if he got the chance.

Eventually, the two reached some sort of quiet back street, but Archie stayed back in order to secure his safety. Suddenly, Sion turned, aiming to punch Archie! Luckily, Archie was prepared for something like this, though was still shocked that this Dark Mage rat managed to track him down. Archie pushed open his cloak, aiming his fist at Sion, though not throwing a punch. Each finger was decorated with a magic ring. From his index finger, a bright shining light shot forth, it would be able to blind Sion! Archie took off, darting into one of the near houses, leaving the front door open. He quickly dashed into the living room, slamming the door closed and quickly setting a trap on the hinges of the living room door.

Sion smirked as he tailed Archie. The man was obviously going to a less crowded place. He was either trying to escape, or he thought he had shaken his pursuer and wanted to go and hide. The madman didn't care either way. He was on Archie's tail, and less people meant that it would be easier to find him. His hand constantly hovered close to his belt where he had his dagger, though he strongly hoped he wouldn't need to use it. If he did, this guy might not survive, after all. Blood could have a... very unpleasant effect on him. One that usually resulted in... you know, bad stuff.

Then, Archie turned into an alley, but when Sion followed him, he was gone. He walked a few meters into the small side street before he heard a soft creak of a door opening. Whether it was Archie or not, Sion wouldn't take chances. With a low growl, he whirled and lashed out with his fist, but was immediately forced to close his eyes as a flash of light blinded him. Damn it! Magic rings? If he could afford those things, then he could pay Tartaros... So this man had both been fucking over his sister by letting them live in a small house though he had the money, and he had refused to pay Tartaros despite the fact he could.

Infuriated, Sion looked around, blinking until he could see again. He heard the loud, slamming noise of a door, and charged at it. Not planning to halt, he held his hand forward, and just as he touched the door, activated his magic. A large gap appeared in the wood and he jumped through it, glaring at Archie with a strong lust for blood in his crimson eyes. This guy wasn't going to walk away unharmed, that was for sure. He had pissed off the Rogue, now it was time to use Sap.

Archie worked frantically on the hinges of the door. Archie was always a fast worker, and very good at traps. Ever since he was a little boy he managed to escape debt collectors that his parents had pissed off with the use of simple tricks and gags that he had on him. However, Archie now had more serious items he could use, and was now setting up something rather large. The family screamed at him, but he ignored them as best as he could whilst he set it up. Their eyes widened when they saw what it was, and Archie finally tied the rope on the door hinge to whatever the trap was. Archie waved with his hand, not making a sound and dashed off, but before he could, the door was blown open with some kind of weird and destructive magic, Archie just laughed, as the string has been cut by a piece of wood that had shot off, the pressure holding back the trigger of the trap was now gun. And do you know what the trap was?

A cannon.

How Archie erected it in such a quick time is totally unexplainable, but let's just say he used a magic ring. This magically created cannon suddenly shot forth a huge cannon ball, right through the hole in the door, but don't worry, it was only a rubber ball, it would maybe break a bone at best. At this range? Would Sion be able to avoid the blast and continue chasing Archie, who was already jumping over the fences of the backyard and making a quick escape? Maybe, just maybe. Yet he'd have to get rid of this trap first.

Sion felt his heart skip a beat when he jumped through the door. Contrary to his expectations, he wasn't looking at Archie's back. Instead, he was staring right down the barrel of a cannon. In a flash, he brought his hand up to his face and black energy formed the one-eyed Mask of Odin. Sion could feel its energy coursing through his body, and he growled, a twisted, wicked, inhuman sound. The mask had released a small portion of his madness, and with it, more power.

And he was going to put that power to good (or bad, for Archie) use. The moment Sion landed, he grabbed the cannonball with both hands. He managed to stop it from bashing his face in, but he was still getting pushed back. The force behind the rubber ball sent him backwards through the hole in the door again, but he managed to stop himself outside. With another low, feral grunt, he jumped back inside. "Where did he go!" he roared at the family, the children huddling with their mother as the father pointed outside, and Sion barely saw Archie's cloak trailing over the fence.

With his newfound strength and speed, Sion set off to hunt down Archie, the demonic energy from the mask merging with the madness magic that was already coursing through his body. He was getting more and more annoyed with the man, and he was going to punch his lights out if he didn't comply. He gripped the ball tightly, knowing it would make a hell of an impact on the back of Archie's skull once he got a clean shot.

When Archie heard the blast of a cannon, a smile spread across his face. Suddenly, one of his rings glowed, signalling somebody had used some sort of immense magical power in the vicinity. His smile slowly faded, and he pushed himself to his limits, using his amazing parkour abilities to get over the fences anyway he could. Rebounding off of trees, swinging off of branches, jumping across sheds. He wasn't one to get exhausted easily, but he knew he would have to go all out soon, this guy wasn't a push over. The ring beeped rapidly, letting him know how much closer the energy was getting. Archie couldn't believe how much faster his pursuer had become. Archie jumped over the final fence, running out into the road, dashing off as quick as he could, the boy was probably following suit. Archie turned back quickly, getting close to his hide out, he'd need to finish it now. As Archie did a little spin so he could see the status of the boy, he saw the cannon ball in his hand. What an idiot, thinking he could exploit Archie?

Archie turned back forward, dashing off more quickly, the explosive in the cannonball must've been stopped, it didn't release enough force to do so, if he had another second to set up the trap, the boy would have been out of action! This was his opportunity! Archie pulled out a set of six throwing knives from his clothes, throwing them backwards, two of them came right towards Sion, but were distractions, the third one flew with such speed and accuracy, it was deadset for the cannon ball, if it hit, it would blow up almost immediately. The remaining knives were thrown as finishers, but even after throwing his knives, the cunning Archie dashed off. It was likely he would need more traps, too bad he didn't have much time to set them up. This was all just one huge mess.
