Fairy Tail RPG Current News

Hey everyone! It's May and you know what that means? Yeah, me neither. There's not a whole lot in terms of major news right now, except for maybe some clarification on some forms of magic like usual. As for a new event? Right now, we're just having the April Event (Bosco Invasion part 3) taking place, which runs into the middle of May. But, one cool new thing that we're introducing this month is SS-Class items. Now you have something to grind and agonize over! Yay, isn't that just lovely? I think so. You can find more info on that in the Equipment and Item Creation section in the rules.

That's it for now, folks! If I get anything new to add to this you can guarantee that I will do so. In the words of the immortal douchebag rival, "Smell ya later." Keep on RPing everyone! Kill some Boscans!

Blitz yawned as he walked along the red-dusted paths of the Cinnabar range, nearly every rock and pebble dyed some hue of red from the plentiful quartz that grew throughout the entire length of the range. His feet kicked up small puffs of reddish dust as he marched through the range, this part of the path made level and clear enough by multiple travelers, though not everyone went as deep into the range as Blitz planned to go today. He planned a more extended trip into the range, and had brought a few supplies accordingly - tent, water, food, the usual. His large hat kept the sun from beating down around his brow as he stepped through the rocky terrain, his jacket keeping him from getting sunburned, though thin enough to breath a bit, enough not to make him sweat, at least.

As he walked, he skipped over a large rock, hopping onto the lowest point and walking at an upward angle along the back of the boulder, his feet making a light grinding sound on the rocky surface of the lump of hardened earth as he reached the top, enjoying the faint breeze for a brief moment before jumping off the top, landing on both feet in a crouching position on the ground in front of the rock, standing up as he dusted off his jeans by patting them down with his hands. Glancing up as he held a hand up to shield his eyes from the sun, he noted that he had a long way to go. Sighing, he stepped forward once more.

Miguel had been traveling for many days now, he had been stopping every few stores to get food but had finally made it into an unknown environment. There was no reason as to where he was going, or any ideas as too what he was going to do once he arrived there. He had just recently left his home to become a great Mage, how he got to that point not even he knew. His goal and dream would start with his first steps, steps he was afraid he'd never find. He was in a rocky place, Rocks and boulders were scattered throughout the area, the plain was simply one big wasteland filled with red sand and rocks, it was almost depressing.

A growl was heard coming from Miguels stomach, it had been days since he had some real food to eat, besides the occasional killing and grilling of small animals. He was beginning to feel desperate for food, mostly Water. At the time he was wearing a Black jacket, which he was throwing over his shoulder. Its Hood area has what looks like real Fur along the edges, His Pants were unluckily Black jeans with a hole on his Left knee as the only breathing room. He had no shirt on, which at least helped him cope with the heat hitting his back. His White hair was almost glowing in the sunlight, His eyes though were Pure Blue at this state and shining. It didn't help that he had White skin as the sun itself was beating him down, he would probably be burning soon. His black shoes were burning as well.

As he walked around the area he noticed a small figure in the distance, making his way down a large boulder, seeing as the man jumped that great height and came down unharmed it was obvious he was above average in strength.. something Miguel was nowhere near. *This man could lead me to a nearby city.. perhaps he wont notice me following him.* Miguel moved around the boulder he jumped down from, keeping his distance as he followed the strange man whom... apparently had a rather tall hat.

As Blitz walked, he stepped into the shade provided by the sheer face of the rock wall, sighing in relief at being out of the heat - despite his large hat keeping him safe from the worst of the sun's rays and heat, he still enjoyed the cool feeling of the shade. Placing a hand along the wall, he let it drag along, letting his fingertips brush the surface of the rocky face before letting go once he realized it was getting his gloves dusty. Patting his hands together to buff the dust off of them, he kept going until he reached a large pile of rocks that had somehow become lodged in the path between the rocky walls of the range - a rockslide in the recent past, he thought.

"Figures," he said with a distantly, almost bored tone as he held out his right arm, his left hand clasping his right arm at the upper arm, clenching his right fist as he said, "Living Weapon magic - Double Knuckle!" and his right arm swelled in size, turning into metal as it grew, until it finished, thicker than his own body and longer, as well, the metal fist flexing it's fingers experimentally until they clenched into a fist, the fist slowly starting to spin, then faster and faster, until it was just a blur on the end of his giant wrist. Drawing his right arm back, he slammed it into the wall of fallen rock, dust and minor bits of debris flying in all directions as his drilling fist crunched through the wall in seconds and, with nothing left in the middle, the surrounding rock spilled onto the path harmlessly, Blitz letting his arm return to normal as he skipped over a medium-sized rock that had been dislodged from his road clearing attempt.

Miguel followed the man through the nice shade, which gave him a few seconds of relief before he forced himself to follow the man even further. He obviously new where he was going and was the only person around the wasteland he could see. Following further into the Red Dessert he found that many rocks were being left in front of him, the man he was following. Giving up hope Miguel thought he was soon going to die in the dessert without Water following a man that might share the same fate as him.

Closing his eyes he turned around, loosing hope in following the man any further. He walked in the opposite direction until he heard the sound of rocks breaking, turning around rapidly he saw the mans arm turn into a drill like object, he was breaking through the rocks as if the job was easy for him. Miguel's face turned into a shocked one, his mouth dropping at least a foot down, completely taking away his serious face.

After a minute had gone by the rubble was left to nothing, leaving only small bits of rock falling down. Miguel was now officially scared of this man, if he could do that to boulders imagine a human body.. this man was a very powerful mage, one that Miguel had better hope not to fight or even make mad.. it might cost him his life. He continued following the strange man, *Even throughout the process of reducing the pile of rock into dust, he still had his hat neatly placed on his head.. this man made his job look easy*. Miguel was thinking about the mans strength.. it was scary.

As Blitz cleared the rubble, he let his arm fade back to normal, brushing aside from spare rubble as he did. As he dusted the debris from the rockslide off of himself, he kept his ears tuned in behind him, though outwardly he didn't let his expression or gaze change any. He was certain he'd heard some kind of noise from behind him just after he transformed and just before he crunched through the rubble wall. Glancing over his shoulder now, he said aloud, "You know, if you want to pass or simply walk with someone in this range, you don't have to sneak around behind them," he said, adjusting his hat on his head to tug it down slightly, "You can come out. This isn't the Cerulean Gorge, things are generally more friendly around here."

Miguel was now completely at his mercy, how did he hear him? especially from this distance, it made his spine turn cold and his legs freeze, although his face wouldn't show it, other then small amounts of sweat moving down his fore head. He was scared of him.. but he would not show how weak he was compared to him. Miguel stepped out of the rock he was hiding behind, and walked towards the man with a tall hat eventually stopping 10 feet away from him to make sure he wouldn't threaten him in any way, his words suggested that he was nice.. but once could never be too careful.

Miguel put up a fake smile, something he was used to doing to try and show him he meant no harm. his smiles could light up an entire room and even make other smile.. of course that would be in normal days, his current smile was a worried one.

"Hello, please call me Miguel.. I am sorry if i Upset you by following you to this point but as you can see.. I am lost." Miguel was thirsty but was trying his best not to show it, his body was starting to feel weak from the constant beating of the sun. "May i accompany you to your next destination?"

As Blitz made his statement to the air, the one who he'd heard behind him stepped out from behind some rocks, looking very nervous - guess i would be too if id seen what i just did from an outside perspective, he thought, thinking back to his destruction of the rock wall moments ago. "It's alright, I don't bite, I promise," he said with a chuckle, tipping his hay ever so slightly in greeting. It didn't seem to console the other much, as he still kept his distance as he introduced himself as Miguel, explaining his situation and requesting to follow him. "The name's Blitz, Blitz Ranfen, it's nice to meet you, Miguel," he said, mentally thinking that this was normally where he'd offer his hand to shake, but the ten meters or so between them made that an issue, and he half-suspected the lad would take to the hills if he approached like that, "But as for your situation, it's fine if you accompany me - I'm headed down the range as it is, and the next town isn't too far away."

Leon was traveling towards Belladonna. To get there, he would have to pass through the great Cinnabar Range. The Range was famous for its long distance with nothing but rocks and heat. A normal person that headed through there unprepared would be risking his life. Water was a great desire of travelers, and it was something missing in that area. Because of this, many of the travelers that died in the Range did so out of dehydration.

Unlike many others, Leon was prepared for this trip. He had plenty of water with him, as well as other supplies. As long as he kept on going and didn’t do something there that would delay him greatly, he would not even feel any trouble in that place different from any other place he travelled through. The male was very well prepared physically and mentality for the trip. Now all that was left was to actually do it.

The young man was walking through like nothing major was happening. Every once in a while when the heat got to him, he would take a sip of water. There was nothing bothering him, at least, not yet. After a while of walking through the Cinnabar Range, Leon found something very unique. There was a bigger amount of rocks scattered around, and they all looked pretty jagged. It was as if they all belonged together, but some strange force broke them apart.

Analyzing the path ahead, Leon thought that the rock might have been big and was blocking the path. Someone strong or with a very potential magic might have taken it out of the way. He thought about who could be that strong. It might be nice to learn about that individual. But then again, they might not be so friendly, and in the end, he would end up fighting them, possibly.

His strength still wasn’t so capable of doing this much damage, neither was his magic. At that moment, Leon remembered the man he met at Trillium. Even though that man did not look like it, he was much more dangerous and powerful than one might expect. He also had many tricks under his sleeves. And to think that the young man was able to see that guy’s magic potential in a battle not involving himself…

When Leon decided to keep on going and leave the memories for later, he saw that he was not alone in that Range. There were two other individuals a bit more up ahead. One of them had a silver-colored hair while the other wore a big hat. The two seemed to keep their distance from each other. Leon tried to think of what actually was happening. There were too many options for him to choose.

Now deciding to understand the situation a bit more, Leon decided to see the outcome of it. He walked back towards a big rock. There was enough shade for one not to die of thirst for a while longer than out on the sun. He leaned his back onto the rock and watched the scene from afar. It was a bit ironic to think that while not keeping himself hidden, he was actually very unlikely to be seen. His black clothing blended well with the shadow in that area. Besides, the two out there were too busy paying attention to each other. Well, not like it mattered to Leon what would happen…

Miguel was relieved the man agreed to accompany him, he could let lose now even if its a little bit. This man was heading towards a town that Miguel no doubt needed to get into. His body was starting to give up on him, having merely eaten these past few days instead of drunken. His dehydration was slowly swooping his body, making his vision slightly more blurry then before, in the distance he could see Mirages of a Lake, something he knew for a fact wasnt true, since there was no trees around it.

His curiosity got the better of him as he walked towards the lake in front of him, seeing it not get any closer and maintain its distance, in front of him where the Water was supposed to be had nothing but Red sand and rocks.. there was no sign of water. Miguel shook off his feeling (or at least tried), and walked back to the man with a Taller looking hat.

"If you lead the way I'll follow" he was at this point going to follow him whereever he went, slowly losing vision but he wouldn't care about it until it got much worse.

As Blitz walked with the newcomer, he noted the new guy getting - or at least acting - somewhat woozy, wandering over to a group of rocks as if in need of them, but stopping short of them, shaking his head. Is he hallucinating? Blitz thought. I wonder how long it's been since he had a decent drink of water in this place. As the guy approached once more, he said, "Don't worry, it's not far now to the nearest town, though I admit it might not be what you're expecting at all."

Walking further along in the shade, he saw the path begin to widen slightly, opening up an giving the duo more shade as they walked. "Ah, it's just over the next rock here," he said, running ahead and stopping, looking down to where the path sloped downward into a valley with a dark-looking town that was totally engulfed in shadow and looked somewhat run-down. "The Valley of Shadows," Blitz said, as if that summed it up. "We can stop here for a rest."
