You want Thingamabobs? I got 20.

Gizmo! In her concern over Mako, Astria had forgotten all about her furry little friend. Where had he run off to? Why would he rush off? Her head swung side to side, looking for a glimpse of her buddy, but he wasn't nearby. Clearly with the night falling in conjunction with Mako's story had her worried about what was lurking around. The men with the black hoods could be anywhere and since they obviously had some sort of connection with the mushroom wolves an easy ambush would be more then possible. It didn't help that one of them was injured either. It didn't look to be too serious or anything, but it may hurt to walk on it. The idea of summoning out Sebastian to carry Mako entered her mind for a second, but was quickly dismissed. Her teammate didn't seem to be the kind of guy who would like that. It would be a bit demeaning. "I did have a bunny with me, Gizmo. He might have run off while you were talking. Given what you just said, him not being an evil animal or anything, do you think we should follow him or at least find him?"

From what she could recall from Mako's tale, good animals were supposed to lead them somewhere when they were lost. Well they were pretty much lost now and seeing as Gizmo had already ran somewhere there best bet seemed to follow him, if they could find him. Astria stood and leaned over to help Mako get up and on his feet. "I'm pretty sure he went that way." The summoner said as she pointed over to one part of the forest that seemed a little less thick then the rest. Branches were plentiful, but they aren't as clustered as some of the other trees had them. In addition, the grasses looked to be a little worn side, suggesting that that part was used more often than not. It seemed to her that Gizmo would take the path that offered the least amount of resistance. The blue-haired mage walked off in that direction vigilant, and a little paranoid, about what was watching her and Mako at that very moment.

Walking carefully, Astria called out to Gizmo as quietly as possible while still having some range with her voice. The rabbit was supposed to lead them to.... something, she couldn't quite recall what it was that Mako had said, but it was important, that she was sure of. As she walked and called, looking from side to side the summoner saw several shimmering white flowers blossoming from the trees. They weren't overly bright, but still gave off some illumination on the nearby area. It added on some comfort to her state of mind and helped it not focus on the many different sounds the forest was making. Most was just the normal leaves rustling in the breeze and insects playing melodies with their bodies, but with the new feeling of some all seeing eye watching them, every sound became a bit more sinister. A scurrying noise caught her attention from the right. Approaching the bush that it came from carefully, Astria's heart skipped a beat when her pal Gizmo jumped out in front of her. A deep breath of relief came out after it reached her brain that it was just a bunny and not some vicious wolf or hooded agent. The furry critter looked at her and twitched its ears, as if to grab her attention before taking a few steps down the path. "Mako, I think that Gizmo is definitely leading us somewhere."

Walking down the path behind Gizmo was a little difficult. The rabbit was faster than one would think, even in terms of rabbits, and it would have to stop ever couple of runs to turn and wait on her and Mako to catch up. It's not that they were slow, but rather it was that they didn't want to move too fast, or at least that was the situation for Astria. The summoner did pick up her pace a little, but still kept it a little slower than a run for the simple reason that if she were running it would be a bit easier to mess her up because she would have less time and position to react to it, but taking slower and more careful steps would make it so that she wouldn't be caught off guard, at least not dangerously so. The forest around the path continued to change as the progressed. At the start it was just the few white flowers that gave off a nice glow, but now the amount of flowers had increased quite noticeably and the actual trees themselves seemed a bit different. Rather then oak or pine or any of those other, traditional trees one would fine in a forest, were trees that grew a thick set of moss. That moss would hang a bit and between the view through it and the glow of the flowers the whole area was starting to have a fantasy feel to it. Something important was nearby, something very ancient and magical...

Mako watched as Astria came to the realization that her little rabbit friend was nowhere to be found. She looked around for a little bit before coming to the obvious fact that the rabbit she was accompanied with was absolutely nowhere to be found. Instead she also restated the most likely in saying,"I did have a bunny with me, Gizmo. He might have run off while you were talking. Given what you just said, him not being an evil animal or anything, do you think we should follow him or at least find him?" Mako raised his eyebrow, two bunnies which were accompanying them both? That seemed hardly common enough to be normal that both him and the blue haired mage had both had little furry companions. The knight felt a bit of a chill and suddenly felt disheartened, the bunny he was with was all alone; lord the wolves might have picked him off for snacks because the knight was foolish enough to leave it behind when the men in black showed up and their chase ensued. He felt guilt strike him like a thunderbolt, the creature most likely didn't stand a chance unlike Astria's who seems quite capable of surviving as it had led her this far.

"Yes, we should. Although i'm uncertain where the thing might have scampered off to, or where it might lead us for that matter, its Gizmo, as you call him, 's call" The knight said as he finished contemplating things in his head. It would be a bit strange following a rabbit like it was some kind of GPS, but they weren't exactly in any position to ask for directions either. They were both lost in the woods with evil creatures and a curse that they had to break; wasn't that just cheery. Mako sighed as he thought of what they would do if they were to meet the men in black again. They could always run, but that wouldn't work as the current situation they were in and the fact that they had those wolves along with Mako being wounded, wouldn't exactly put the odds in their favor if they were to flee. They could try and fight them, going up against the hordes of wolves and lord knows whatever black magic they had in their arsenal. Then again if they were watching they would most certainly not try and attack them again, they were as much as he hated saying it; their guide to Titanna and Oberon where their true goal lied in wait.

"I'm pretty sure he went that way." he heard Astria say before the blue headed girl stood up. Begrudgingly the knight wrenched himself up and off the ground trying to favor his other leg in fear of hurting the one that was injured. Mako clabbered on after Astria in the cool night air, it was truly a different place at night in contrast to the day. Everything seemed much more alive then usual, there was even flowers which glowed and often lit up the forest floor giving the look of a glowing ground. There were fireflies lighting up the air and the forest canopy as if it were moving with the rest of the forest. Mako couldn't help but smile a bit as he saw the beautiful thing that he had so foolishly squandered before, then almost ironically a sudden gust of wind blew by rubbing the leaves together creating a laughing noise almost which the knight had a pretty good idea who had caused it. He hoped that one day he could bring back Hikari when all of this was over and he could go home and take a long hot shower. Lord, he may love it here but this place was more filthy then a dog's outhouse, which on second thought was a rather bad example as everywhere was dog's outhouse, of course this wasn't really a subject to be pondering on as this was neither the time or place.

Mako saw Astria disappear up ahead and panicked as the idea of being alone in the forest resurfaced causing him to pick up his pace to catch up to the mage. He realized though that he couldn't stop as his bad leg prevented him from doing so quickly enough and in turn caused him to bump into the blue haired mage, he quickly apologized before looking on beyond her. The rabbit was either just an ordinary rabbit or it was delusional, it had led the two to a dead end as there was nothing beyond it but a large amount of boulders with a few bushes dotted at their bases. It reminded the knight a bit of when he was back on top of the water-fall. Before he could make a witty comment however the rabbit started bounding again; this caught the knight off guard and at the risk of losing their guide he hobbled as fast as he could after the rabbit who was definitely leading them somewhere. Gizmo rounded a corner of a large boulder surrounded by other numerous ones that looked almost identical and turned suddenly looking up at Mako who had managed to catch up and Astria who was hopefully behind him. Without a word the rabbit quickly ran under the bush and disappeared under the rock most likely, well wasn't that great. "You have to be kidding me thats it?" the knight complained as he saw Gizmo run through the bush.

No it wasn't...as if almost magically the knight noticed a feature in the rock. Near the base it seemed to curve a bit as it met the plant in front of them. Thats not all though, the bush in front of them was strange, it was supported by only a single root and seemed rather thin, and upon further inspection was easily bended. The largest thing though was the discovery that there was in fact a large hole going down in the earth under the boulder disappearing into darkness, "I don't believe it...Did i mention that i have claustrophobia? He expect us to climb down that?" he asked in disbelief. His reluctance was quickly vanished though as he swore that he heard a howl in the distance followed by barks, the hole did look big enough to fit him and Astria, plus he was rather skinny unlike the wolves and black men who would most likely not fit. Wit a sigh he stood up and held the bush out of the way, "Ladies first"

Gizmo must have a great sense of humor. It had lead them to a dead-end during a really crucial point. Surely by now whatever it was that was watching them had the men in black along with the mushroom wolves on their trail. It wouldn't be long until they caught up to them and making stops was only helping that. The boulder they were in front of had a bush in front of it as well which Gizmo quickly scurried under and out of sight. Astria by this point was just wondering where they could go to hide away or what direction would lead them back to town. They couldn't help at all if they were captured or worse. If they could escape then they could definitely come back with reinforcements and help get the forest back under control. It was a very smart plan, but very iffy on whether or not it could be pulled off. The forest was pretty much a labyrinth and a deadly one at that. Getting out after making your way in was next to impossible. Wondering around trying to get out would certainly be a moral dampener not to mention that it would make it so much easier to hunt them if they were lost in enemy territory.

Mako was inspecting the boulder, the summoner wasn't sure for what since there may be a hole for the rabbit to go through didn't mean that it was large enough for either of them to get through. Surprisingly though there was a large hole hidden by the bush, which was very flexible to get out of the way. It seemed to be large enough for Astria certainly and she was fairly sure that Mako could make his way through it. The hole was certainly much too large for the wolves to get through so certainly it would keep them safe for a little bit. Still it descending into ominous darkness was not too reassuring in the safety of whatever was below. Still it couldn't be worse then hunted throughout the forest plus Gizmo was to lead them somewhere, presumed, safe so it couldn't be too dangerous. "We don't have much of a choice since it's the hole or the wolves. I think that this way will lead to a more safe environment seeing that Gizmo quickly jumped into it."

Astria crouched down and started to climb down into the hole, feet first. It was little cramped at first and she had to be careful not to scrape her arms and legs against the rocks. Now this wasn't one of the top things on her list of what to do in a dress, but she had become quite adapt to doing unconventional things in a dress, at least one that was breezy like this one. She could go through deserts and forests and even climb a bit in a dress, but that didn't mean any of those things were especially easy to do. Climbing down was just irritating in that her dress would occasionally get caught on a protruding rock or end up snagged in a crack. These weren't life or death concerns, but it was annoying having to stop your decent and fix the situation. Thankfully, the hole was a bit supportive since it went down at an angle so it wasn't like they were just falling down into a chasm. After what seemed to be a ten minutes Astria felt like she'd climb down a mile or two, but with the poor lighting and what not it was hard to really tell the distance, at least for her. Her feet touched ground that went off at a different angle then the rest of the climb had gone at. She kept moving lower until it was clear that the ground beneath her was leveled out making it very possible to stand up.

Rising slowly she kept a hand above her head, careful not to bang it against the ceiling of the cave. When she got to full height standing she stretched her arm up and still felt nothing above her. The must be a chamber of this underground cave that really couldn't be described since there was a lack of light in the room. Astria's bag, while had nearly everything needed for small situations like this, lacked a flashlight or anything of the sort at that moment. Somehow when she made her way over to Oak Town it had gotten lost on the train, she was fairly sure that her cabin-mate, Priscilla, took it from her when she took a little nap. In any case Astria started to walk extra cautiously and carefully around the area, looking for some kind of wall to use as a bearing. Some faint light came in from the hole so she could see Mako follow her into the cave's darkness. "I don't suppose you have some kind of flashlight do you?" She was joking a little, but there was some wishful tone in her voice hoping that he did. After he was in the chamber and standing Astria noticed that the light coming in from the tunnel was slowly fading. Maybe the bush that they bended out of the way went back into place, or maybe -and yes she was slightly aware that this was a more paranoid thought- there was something following them down here. The men in black had more animals at their disposal then just the mushroom wolves, but there was nothing to say that they actually did so this was a little paranoid of her.

The light being blocked from the hole meant that their only source of lighting was gone. Astria didn't really have an issue with caves or being in the dark, at least not anymore then the average person, but being in a cave in the dark not knowing if there was any chance of getting out made her start having a slight panic attack. Her heart sped up and while her thoughts were all about how she needed to calm down her body wouldn't listen and started to get goosebumps. After about two seconds she felt like her lungs would explode and her heart would jump out of her chest, but thankfully before either of these dreadful things could happen a slight glow that turned into bright lighting flooded the cave. The light had a turquoiseish mixed with aqua kind of shade to it and seemed to come from the top of the chamber. Looking up, Astria saw that crystals embedded into the stone were emitting a bright light that revealed the caves true face. It was wider then she originally thought considering the hole to get into it was so small. She felt miniscule as the walls reached at least triple her height. Turning now so her back was to their entrance she was blown away by what she saw. It looked to be some kind of temple entrance. Obviously they weren't the first to make their way down here. "This may be obvious, but since there isn't any other holes down here I think that Gizmo went that way." Since the little rabbit led them this far and they followed it only seemed right that they kept with it.

Mako watched as Astria climbed down the 'rabbit' hole. After a few seconds of shuffling she had completely disappeared from his view, well wasn't that just great. The knight sighed knowing that he would most likely have to climb in after her in the event that she got in trouble. That was presumably what the fairy woman wanted him to do, he had no complaints as long as it was just fighting monsters and such talking casually with people could be extremely hard at times and in fact now upon recalling this he came upon the conclusion that besides Hikari and his commander he hadn't really talked with anyone. The however did not stop him when he heard another howl which was steadily growing closer. Mako cringed at the thought of fighting the wolves and the black men all by himself, and yet he cringed even more at the prospect of climbing down a dark hole having no idea where he was going and if he would get stuck. It was true that the tunnel would only barely fit him and that if he were to go in there would be a chance that he could get stuck, lord his claustrophobia was going crazy just thinking about all of this right now much less the wolves and the pursuers of the two travelers. This however did not stop the knight from climbing in as he groaned loudly and gave a bit of a whimper as he slid his legs in.

At first it was a bit of a pinch as he had to shuffle his legs to move downwards, but the gravity and the gentle incline helped him on his way a bit. It was hard to see as he was in a small tunnel with no light or any source of it. His flashlight in his pack had been broken when he crashed into the lake after jumping off that waterfall and thus was rendered useless. He stopped as he could hear sounds up from where he had been only a few minutes before. It was the wolves most likely as the sounds were of yelps and howls of frustration as they knew they were to large and hulking to fit inside the entrance. Despite his claustrophobia Mako couldn't help but to stick his young out in mocking and happiness. At least they were safe for now, with emphasis on the FOR NOW at least. Mako kept on shuffling down which felt like about eight minutes due to his size and often getting stuck in some narrow spots, he found himself in a bit of a fix. Apparently the passage in front of him broke off into two parts. One was directly below him the other unfortunately was to his right and down a bit. It would be hard for the average person to see but then again he wasn't exactly an average person. He was a warrior, and training as one required extreme training in all assets of ones body. However this seemed to put him in a fix.

"Astria! where are you?" he called out into the hollow cavern. He panicked, either of these passages could go on for miles and if he chose the wrong one he could be crawling for hours before he reached an exit. And what about the blue haired mage, what if they were separated? That would be very unfortunate and sad as if they were they would both be vulnerable. Although Astria wasn't exactly the most physically trained person i the world (she had her summons for that) he eyes might have been good enough to see the second hole. However she could have just easily followed the main passage downwards. It was a tough choice and in the end it was the main passage the Mako decided to follow. So with his determination in mind he kept on shuffling down the tunnel leaving behind the other hole which by all accounts was now unreachable due to the fact that he was below it and trying to climb back up would take more energy then he had. It was true, Mako was exhausted. He had been put under more physical strain then the blue haired mage and it was beginning to show. He wished how he could reach into his pack and grab a snack but it was to late as he couldn't reach down due to the size and scale of the tunnel.

Eventually though he found that his legs were free and able to move. he wiggled them a bit enjoying the feeling of having a full range of motion once more and worked on getting his arms out as well. He kept shuffling forward with his legs pulling him along and helping him work in getting out of the cramped space. He reached up hesitantly as he had worked his shoulders and head out easily, he slowly rises with his hands above him case the roof was rather small. To his relief though this was not true and instead he was relieved to find himself standing upright and straight...In the darkness of a cave. It was apparent now that this area had no light whatsoever as the bush in the top must have folded back into place after the wolves tried to crawl in through it. He could hear Astria in the dark inquiring him if he had a flash light, "I'm afraid not, it broke when i jumped off that cliff" he said to the sprint mage moving closer to her voice so that he could hopefully collaborate with her better on their situation, plus it was really dark. Almost as if on cue though the knight tripped on a rock on the ground adding another scrape to his already badly scraped and wounded body. He clutched his leg a bit wishing that he was back in town having pizza and watching a nice movie after taking a shower, ahh that was it.

Although he knew that this fantasy of his would most likely not come true, either way he got up off of his front side and accidentally bumped into another person who was most likely the blue haired mage although she didn't seem phased by it. Suddenly however light flooded the cave as a blue and turquoise color filled up the area. He was relieved to see that he could, well see. And took in the area around him, the place was vast and the ceiling was by far much bigger them him in most ways. What was the most intriguing though was the temple entrance that was up ahead of them. He could see the face of Gizmo look at them before running into the temple and turning around to make sure the two humans were following."This may be obvious, but since there isn't any other holes down here I think that Gizmo went that way." he heard the blue haired mage say. Mako nodded in agreement and took out his sword as he walked up to the entrance, it was ruined and seemed old and out of use as if no one had been here since a very long time ago much before the birth of him or even his country. "What did you do today Mako? Oh nothing much just fought mushroom wolves, jumped off a waterfall, hanged out with fairy queens, and climbing down holes into vast underground caverns filled with temples ad crystals" the knight said to himself as Astria seemed to be less talkative then him.

Astria headed into the temple. It was old and worn down, but still held on strong and looked somewhat regal. The stone looked like it may have been white or a polished beige color before, but time and dust got to it and made it look a bit more dingy then what other temples would look like. Pulling on some information from her mental library of books, Astria recalled another temple that was to have siginifigance to the forest in the area. This was in another country, but it was very similar to this one in that it was supposed to hold some native diety. Though the path to get to him was trecherous and very dangerous. Leona Foretti was the lead explorer when a team was sent out to the temple, named Omen Tomb. It started out as an expedition strictly just for exploring and learning about it, but a small alterier goal was hidden in the paper work. That was to, if they could, find what (if anything) in that temple was causing such commotion in the surronding area. Plants with abnormal growth rate and animals acting out, in the most agressive way. Whether they found anything or not was never known as the whole team of twenty-five people went missing and were presumed dead after a year with no rescue team being able to find them. Reports said that the temple was definetly rigged with an incalcuable number of traps and that it was likely that they were caught in one and now their bodies were lost in the temple. Omen Tomb was put into a quarentined statis and no one was allowed to go in or near it. The commotion in the area did cease and things returned to the statis quo so whatever mystery in Omen Tomb was left to rest.

Remembering that put an instant mood kill on Astria. It was hard to stay optomestic about something that has a precedent to kill and then not even give back the bodies. This was a different situation though, a totally different cause for everything. Faries were at work here and strange cult-like people were behind the disatours nature of the animals. Yeah somehow that makes sense. Walking past a few fallen stones, the summoner caught up to Gizmo who had apparently decided to stick close to them. Looking around the same blue crystals carried over from the main chamber and as far down the temple hallway as she could see. The hue of light it gave off was pretty comferting, something about it was reashuring, strengthening, nurturing. Looking up at them as she carefully walked ahead, Astria tried to place what stone or gem it was. A number of rocks and whatnot could glow in the dark, but not in this color, as far as she knew. Even if she couldn't remember it, Astria decided that giving it a name would be better then just refering to it as the stone that gives off blue light. Azurinite seemed to fit it. A distant language has the word for blue be azurine and Astria just added on the suffix -ite which can mean mineral, rock, or fossil and together that makes blue rock. Taking out her sketch pad she quickly sketched the rock and jotted down some notes such as its abilit to glow in the dark and that it was found, highly concentrated, in this area.

Ahead the tunnel opened up in a room. Picking up her pace a little, Astria rushed to see what was in it. The chamber was wider then she expected it to be and it was a little surprising. There were no other exits from this chamber in sight. Turning her attention to the center of the chamber, there was a small pedestal upon which sat a small spherical stone and was surrounded by 4 unlit torches in a square formation. Outside of that there were three marble blocks that were roughly 6 feet in length and 3 feet wide- suspiciously conveniently human sized in Astria's opinion. Approaching the pedestal that houses the unlit torches, Astriaa could see that upon each pedestal was a raised section with a symbol carved upon it which looked suspiciously like a button. "Hey, come look at this", she said, drawing their attention to her discovery. Upon closer inspection, they would find that all four of the pedestals had a similar raised button, each with a different symbol upon it.

It was becoming more and more obvious that these four buttons somehow related to the sealed door that lay on the opposite side of the room to the door to the one that he entered. The question was, what were they supposed to do and what was the catch? because everyone knew that if you screwed up a puzzle in an ancient ruin then bad things happened. Very, very bad things... So it would be unwise for her to try anything without discussing it first. "Mako, what do you think about these symbols? It seemed that we have to try and push them, but that's just silly to randomly push buttons." They din't even know if the buttons set up so that they had to be pressed in a certain order or if it was just one that worked and the other three were duds. Astria recalled some information she knew about codes and locks, specifically how to break them, but considering how rare and dated this system probably is, the books she read probably didn't contain anything relavant. Some kind of hint would help, and while Gizmo was usually ready to provide this he only knew that they should go forward through the sealed door.

Mako groaned as the company went deeper into the temple. He had always wanted to do this, like in those movies he watched with Indianna Jones. Swinging on vines and fighting bad guys, although this wasn't any movie, and these certainly weren't any normal enemies that they were facing. Instead they were facing black creatures of the damned kind most likely and were in an underground temple being hunted by lord knows what. It was an interesting predicament that was for sure, ever since the knight was a by he had always been fascinated by ancient temples and things like that, he found them exciting and knew that one day he would go and find a hidden treasure in it. Although that was the fantasy of a eight year old child, far from the mature and different view of a knight. What also felt strange was the fact that his blue haired friend seemed to be ignoring him, he wasn't into anyone except Hikari his girlfriend but at least expected some small talk to keep them both sane instead of what felt like walking through the dark with an almost stranger like person. Mako though felt his questing float away as he walked into a large chamber like room. He marveled at its size and complexity, who could have possibly made this? Was it from some ancient tribe of some sort or simply something else all together that could not be comprehended by the normal man.

Mako wandered around the room a bit walking along the walls of the chamber, it was old that was for sure. The whole place seemed as though it were about to collapse in on itself. The fact that the knight was claustrophobic didn't help either as that only helped in setting him on a bit of a nervous mindset. He turned his gaze though back to the blue haired mage when he heard her call to him, he hustled over favoring his good leg and looked over her shoulder, which was hard considering they were both about the same height. There was a button on the pedestal that was just begging to be pushed, and while like Astira said it was a bad idea to push it he knew that if they couldn't figure out what the hell they were supposed to do that it would very well come to that. "Well there really aren't a lot of clues as to what were supposed to push, it would be a guessing game unless we had some kind of lead to work off" he told her stating what had been playing in his mind while he was talking to her. If theres one thing the knight and the mage both knew and had in common it was that they weren't stupid, if they pushed a wrong button something bad was bound to happen and they would be screwed over. However if they stayed here to long it would only be a matter of time until those wolves and the black men arrived and found away around the natural defenses of the boulder and got inside.

Instead he limped over to the wall and started walking along it, "Usually in the movies theres some sort of hidden button that opens a hidden passageway of some sort" Mako explained as he pushed the blocks that made up the wall of the temple. He got tired though and instead sat down on a nearby piece of rubble which lied on the floor near one of the pedestals. They had come all this way, there was no way they could give up now! But then again they had no lead to work off of and were at the point of just pushing random buttons instead of guessing at all. He looked at Astria with a hopeful look, if he was lucky maybe she had figured something out unlike the knight who was sitting on his piece of rubble tending to his wounded leg. He swore as he could see some blood trickling out from under the scab and knew that he had opened it up again. Damn, at least if he was lucky that woman or missing guy could heal it if he begged them enough, then he could be back at full working order and be able to fight better. Until then though he would only be working at seventy five percent as twenty five of him was wounded and pissed off due to the far that this stupid rabbit had led them this far only to be duped by a dumb puzzle.

Astria eyed the puzzle intently. The most obvious thing about it was that the buttons were each aligned to a different outcome. How did she know this? Well in nearly every other situation similar to this one it was like that, so it's not a huge leap to jump from to that conclusion. Now maybe in a different situation a person could use deductive reasoning to isolate one or two of the symbols that was most likely going to get them on and past this chamber. However, the four symbols in front of her all looked to be hugely unrelated. One was most clearly a sun, and another looked to be three eggs side by side. The third one may be able to pass as a mountain or a hilly area or a small stacking of rocks and then some sort of strange piece would rest on top. The second one could have been impossible to figure out, but to Astria the symbols around the dot looked to be people or a person going through simple dance steps that was just put your arms in the air and then put them down. Holding a hand against her forehead, the summoner combed through everything that she could remember about temples, symbols, traps, chambers, and anything else that could have even the slightest relevance here. Nothing was coming to mind that would help, and the problem was creeping up on Astria's last nerve.

"There doesn't seem to be another way out other then using this pedestal and the symbols on it." The summoner paced around the pedestal once, twice, three times before stopping with her back to the pillar and her eyes narrowed in frustration at the tiny structure. "Well," Astria took a deep breath before going on with her though, "Since I don't think either of us can safely deduce which button to press I opt that we just pick the one that seems least dangerous." Turning to Mako, she had her arms crossed across her stomach and noticed that something felt missing. Gizmo. For the longest part of the day in the forest, the bookworm had held the rabbit and now that her arms were crossed a space felt like it was missing. Immediately starting to look around, Astria was checking low to the ground for her furry little friend. "Gah, where did you go now Gizmo?" Standing back up straight, she looked off into the darker corners of the chamber. Rocks and who knows what else had taken most of those areas and Astria hopped that the bunny had the sense to stay away from that area. Going around to the back of the column Astria only half expected the rabbit to be there and when he was she became filled with excitement. "There you are." Astria said with a smile as she extended her arms to hold the rabbit again.

Walking back to the pedestal, Gizmo between her crossed arms and stomach, she stared at the four buttons. Not all at once as each was on a different side of the pedestal, but by slowly walking around it she looked at each of them. Even if she decided on just pushing a random button, it still somewhat required that she decide which. It was in her nature to not make any rash jump at things and didn't really want to just pick something without thinking about it. The sun could mean something good as it could be used to give life and whatnot, but at the same time sun is also fire so pressing it could trigger some kind of fire booby trap that would encase the whole chamber. The one that looked like a mountain or a hill could mean something about over coming an obstacle or something along those lines, but more likely it meant that some kind of booby trap that involved rocks trying to kill them would be activated. As for the the other two symbols, Astria had no clue what they could lead to, but it surely couldn't be good. Having to make a choice, but knowing that all of them could be potential hazards was something that she often tried to avoid and yet somehow it ends up with her making the decisions.

As she walked around the pedestal, Gizmo started to get fidgety. He was squirming in her arms, but the summoner just assumed he was trying to get comfortable and loosed her hold so that he could better move. Instead of doing that, the wile rabbit jumped out of her arm and landed on the button of people dancing around a circle. "No!"Her brown eyes shot open wide as her arms reached for the bunny, hoping that somehow by moving it off fast enough it would count as if he'd never landed on it. Sadly, a very audible clicking sound echoed throughout the chamber, assuring everyone that something seriously bad was about to happen. Holding the rabbit close, Astria looked around the chamber, trying to be ready for whatever came out at them. Poison darts from the wall? Spikes coming up from the floor or down from the ceiling? Hell the chamber may just have the ceiling open up and rain rocks on them. What did happen was a bit less dramatic then all of that. The three coffins, though up to this point Astria assumed that they were just there for decoration, opened up slowly. The heavy marble slab on top was slowly being pushed off to the side for each coffin. Astria looked on, her back to the column and from the right coffin emerged a woman who looked ready for battle with her two katana and fierce look in her eyes. The one right across from her emerged and he had a face that seemed calm and docile, but his blood stained spear told her that he was dangerous. The last one to emerge was from the coffin on her left and he seemed different then the other two. The other two that emerged had weapons in hand, but he was empty handed, thought the embers that came in and out of view around his fingers made Astria worry that he may have some kind of magic. The three stepped out of their coffins and looked at Astria and Mako. "You two are not welcome here. As the guardian's of the temple, we are to prevent anyone from proceeding." The three spoke as one and didn't seem the least bit hesitant in their words. Hopefully after a long time in those coffins they wouldn't be too hard. Especially since her partner had an injured leg.

Mako looked around in confusion while Astria was looking for Gizmo. The collumns or pedestals as he should say obviously were giving hints about what they stood for. The problem was just working up the bravery to actually push them. However it seems that one of the three party members (including the rabbit) caught onto his thoughts as there was a very audible clicking noise coming from behind him. Mako felt his face go pale as he spinned around to see who was brave enough, or foolish enough, to push one of the buttons. In the end it was Gizmo who seemed to be the bravest of the three as he pushed in one of the buttons. Mako closed his eyes whispering holy prayers ready to face his horrible and rather graphic death. This was not to pass however as there was no danger to speak of. Instead out of the corner of his eye the knight could see the three coffins open up with three people stepoing out of them. Mako grabbed his katanna which was hanging from his back as the three people all threatened them at once. "Well now, i'm afraid we've reached an impass. We need to follow to where the temple leads. Be it Oberon, Titanna, or beast but we are not leaving" he said raising his sword while taking a battle stance. If these people were looking for a fight then they may have just found one. Although with the knight's leg injured and his injury still hurting like hell his options in combat were rather limited at the moment and in turn caused him to be weary about how he moved and how fast he moved around. Astria would be able to help though in theory as she had her summons which might just even out the odds although if he was correct they could only be out for a certain amount of time. This made things more difficult as one of them was definitely a mage with the other two being some sort of knight lie him.

You want Thingamabobs? I got 20.

The three temple guardians took stances, preparing to make their move. It was a three on two fight, unless you counted Astria then it would be three on three. The summoner knew she wasn't much for actual combat since she only had her dagger, which even when she had to use the blade it was with a great reluctance. Swiftly taking a token from her right bracelet, Astria flipped it in the air while reciting her spell. "Pay homage to Saint Noah!" The coin flipping in the air had a magic seal appear around it before having a man appear from it. He stood in front of Astria, his left arm across his chest and his right resting on top of it with that hand pushing up his glasses. Noah wasn't normally her go to spirit for combat, but with the odds not in their favor he would be able to find out their weaknesses faster.

Within seconds, Noah's eyes swept the room taking an extra moment to look at the three figures on the other side of the room. The first one to make a move was the man with the spear. With a quick dash across the floor and a quick jump over the pedestal he was in range to attack Noah. The spear angled downward the white-haired man turned and slashed it up and an angle. Moving with cat like reflexes, Noah side stepped the blade and quickly drawing his dagger from up his sleeve attempted to land a stab on the man. However, the attacker's elaborate style of clothing ended up saving him as the place Noah aimed for ended up just being an empty space filled with fabric, now with a slash mark in it. The two fighters took a few steps from one another and the spear-man held his weapon firmly pointed at Noah. For a moment the tension was thick between the two as they held eye contact, but didn't move until the man attacked with several quick stabs. Moving back and forth, avoiding the blade, Noah was being pushed back by the man's slow steps forward.

There battle was fairly even as once Noah's back was against the wall he cleverly spun out of the way and the man's blade got stuck in the wall long enough for him to make an attack. His dagger in hand, Noah attempted to land a high slash down across the torso, but at the last second the man's blade became free from the wall and black Noah's attack with it. Astria was watching them fight a bit off to the side. She was still by the main column, but was on the right side of it to keep up with their moving brawl. The summoner had seen from the corner of her eye that the man with fire flickering around his hands had indeed been a mage. His first move was launching a few small fireballs at Mako, but is was clear that they were just to serve as a diversion. The blonde woman, leaning low to the ground, dashed forward with great speed. Her blades already out as she leaped through the explosion of fireballs and came down with both blades in a slashing motion. Astria took a step over to Mako as clearly a two on one would be too much for him, but right in front of her a small ball of flame landed and her head turned to see the fire mage, a devilish grin on his face, shake his head no. The mage quickly ignited his fists and began punching in Astria's direction. Each punch let loose a ball of flame and in seconds four fireballs were headed at her. Moving quickly, Astria turned and made it just behind the large column before the attack got to her.

Through the pillar she could feel the man attacking with flaming punches, each on hitting the pillar, slowly destroying it. It wouldn't take all that long to destroy the pillar which was already ancient beyond belief. Astria didn't have the ability to summon out another saint just yet and she couldn't take on the mage, especially from this distance. Taking a quick glance over to the right she saw Noah's fight continue at the same pace as before, only now with more distance. They seemed to have figured out that they didn't need to get that close to hit each other. The spear man was using the full length of his weapon while Noah utilized the wire attachment on his dagger to harass from a far. The battles raging on around her were going to be hard, as the match-up so far had pitted them against fairly equal opponents. Thinking hard from behind her shield, being chipped away at with flames, Astria tried to come up with a plan.

Mako exchanged glances with Astria as he her, and the three guards who were threatening them had a good old fashioned show down like in an old western. The calm before the storm was broken however by Astria who threw he coin up in the air and catching it again causing some sort of summon to appear who quickly engaged one of the opponents. Mako watched leaning slightly to favor his good leg so that he would not further injure his hurt one. The man with the spear seemed to be equal in terms of strength and ability although really there wasn't much of a contest as in the end it would probably be the man who would win as he had both superior height and unlike the spirit he was not on a time constriction compared to the spirit who from what the knight knew about summons sooner or later had to return to their masters.

Mako quickly snapped out of the two fighter's battle as he was quickly confronted with a challenge himself as the fire mage had fired a couple fireballs at the knight who was obviously rather surprised to have his first magical attack come at him. He groaned as he rolled out of the way trying to avoid the balls of flame that were obviously aimed at him. He yelped slightly as a blonde haired woman quickly came at him with two blades in hand. 'a fighter eh? I can take that' Mako said avoiding the fatal blades that she tried to hit him with. He quickly jumped out of a crouch and raised his sword parrying her slashes and cuts. "Sorry lady i already have a girlfriend" Mako said slightly with a small smirk on his face before he made a slash at the woman himself which in the end was blocked by the woman who was only able to black his sword blows through her skill with a sword. At bare minimum she was no match for the knight in terms of skill, the only reason she was blocking was because she had more weapons then him and the fact that his leg was injured didn't help him much as you could guess.

Mako was getting tired of this pretty damn fast and as a result wanted to end it so that there would be one less enemy to face. Time to introduce a little bit of a mix up, he thought to himself as he jumped back slightly to avoid her swipes. If he could find her weakness he could hopefully exploit it. arms, no; chest, best not to pay too much attention to it; legs, n- bingo she was taking to big of stances to catch up with the knight who kept moving backwards to avoid her slashes. He smiled as he did a fake step back by twitching before stomping on her foot. The woman grunted and used the opportunity to try and hit the knight. Mako grabbed her arms though pressing down on the pressure points where he knew it hurt to be pushed to hard. He grinned and reared his head back before swinging to try and head but the woman.

It worked, but damn it hurt! He stumbled back a bit before falling back groaning, "ugh, no one wins in headbuts" he whimpered before shaking his head. The woman ,as he found out sitting up, was out cold apparently not so adept in stamina as much as him. Although he had to admit that even he was rattled from pulling off that little stunt of his. His head swiveled until he was focused on the fight with the fire mage and the summon, just great. He groaned as he stood up, grabbing his sword which had clattered to the floor during his melee debut. He rolled his shoulders and cautiously snuck up on the fire mage.
