Nickname: Hyphen Age: 19 Gender: Male Height: 1,76m Weight: 90kg Guild: N/A Class: Class D Affiliation: Neutral Physical Description: Hyphen stands a bit taller than most of people of Fiore. His stance and way of moving would clasify him as the hatted grasshopper if he was a fairy tale character. Although rarely seen due to his overprotective clothing, he has olive skin. His general physique seem unattended, dispite being able to proove athletic feats and complement perfectly the right attire. Under his helmet he hides a somewhat elongated face that explodes into multiple gestures as he tries to express himself. His pitch-black eyes seems to be constantly open yet unfocused in a slightly maniacal way as he seems to take in every situation from a more deep yet not understandable point of view. His voice quivers ,and echoes within his helmet, from tone to tone in his rapid way of speaking, exagerating any mood he might be in or trying to convey. He has short dark hair that curls shyly at the tips. Hyphen head tends to hang slightly over this appearantly-tiresome shoulders. His arms extend rapidly from them and his fingers seem adecuate for a pianist or a thief. His torso follows the combo of a deranged swan-like grace, and is plagued by a plethora of scratch-like scars of unknown origin. Hyphen's legs and feet dance in a rough rythm as the stilt-like appendages childishly motor his body around. Clothing: He is normally seen wearing a somewhat short trenchcoat and blue slacks. He also wears white gloves, black shoes and a very odd panda-shaped helmet. Accessories: A wrist clock, the Ludus Key. Extra: Scarred back (scratchmarks or clawing of some sort) Personality Hyphen is frequently described as clever, cerebrally and verbally quick, enthusiastic, outgoing, innovative, flexible, loyal and resourceful. Hyphen is motivated by a desire to understand and improve the world he lives in. He is usually accurate in sizing up a situation. Hyphen has a perverse sense of humor and sometimes plays devil's advocate, which can create misunderstandings with friends, coworkers, and family. He can devise fresh, unexpected solutions to difficult problems. However, he is less interested in generating and following through with detailed plans than in generating ideas and possibilities. In a team environment, Hyphen is most effective in a role where they can draw on his abilities to offer deep understanding, a high degree of flexibility, and innovative solutions to problems. He regards a comment like "it can't be done" as a personal challenge, and, if properly motivated, will spare no effort to discover a solution. Hyphen tends to be laid back, nonjudgmental, and a good conversationalist. Generally informative rather than directive in his social exchanges, he is often able to explain his own complicated ideas well, and comprehend the complex ideas of others. In arguments he may use debating skills, often to the significant disadvantage of their opponent. This strategy can backfire, however, by alienating those seeking a cooperative relationship rather than a combative one. History Hyphen was born in a family of power-hungry dark mages. Their Guild constantly looked for new sources for power, and different ways of how to control reality from its most basic mechanisms. Within thier multiple experiments with other magics, they stumbled upon a certain Stellar Key, the Ludus Key. Trading illegal magic items, the key was given as a little token to even up the rough edges of the offers of either side, trying to get the values of the bids on both sides as equal as possible. The Ludus Key came without any type of instruction, and was left aside by the Guild. Hyphen was at a young age as when his thiefish education begged him to steal the key. With the forgotten key in his hands, he kept it safe and studied it ask often as he could. It was it own childish treasure. Soon, he noticed that the key was full of intricate grooves and inscrptions, written in a decorative way along its length. Hyphen considered it a challenge to decifer the purpose of these inscriptions, if they even had any. The key seemed mechanical in nature. As Hyphen burrowed mutliple lockpicks into the wonders of the key, clicks and shreeks could be heard from within. Sometimes, it emited a puff of steam or started to jolt around as the young mage managed to dig deeper in the puzzles of the key, understanding more of it with each trial and error. Meanwhile, in his normal life of stealing and kidnapping, his sole devotion to his secret childhood entertainment made him not study other magics. The key itself seemed to be so magical due to its complexity that he couldn't concentrate on other mind-based disciplines, although, he still was maravelous in his own fields of street-skills. His guild started to suspect about if Hyphen was really worth while to mantain in the guild as he grew older. Family and friends didn't mean much in his Guild, so we was exiled for the economic good. Hyphen was educated in this kind of atmosphere of little mercy, so he didn't find it surprising. He was ready to abandon his home anyway at his age. Looking for new challenges and a purpose in life, the rumor of Dragon Riddles reached his ears. Facinated by it, he decided that he would propel himself with the promise of the eerie trophy of figuring out thier meaning, which meant finding all the dragons. Weaponry/Equipment Rapier (D-Rank): A common light sword, common amongst nobles.115 cm total length, blade 93 cm. Weighs about a kg. Shurikens (D-Rank): Typical ninja stars. He has two in his coat pockets, and three concealed in his pants. About as large as the palm of a hand. Panda Helmet (D-rank): An odd panda-shaped helm, that offers some protection to his head. Made of steel. Stats - 89 Strength: 14 Accuracy: 15 Stamina: 15 Speed: 15 Magic: 30 Stat Points Earned: 5/49 Arc Points Earned: 0/0 Jewels Earned 10,750,001/9,350,001. April Event + 5SP, 1,000,000 Jewels May Event (+3SP +600,000 jewels) Noel Gift + 5,000,000 Jewels Stranded + 1SP, 150,000 Jewels Lonely Waters + 2SP, 350,000 Jewels Wandering on a Dark Path + 2SP, 300,000 Jewels Skills & Disciplines: -Rhetoric: Hyphen loves the art of twisting words and concepts to his advantage. -Games and Puzzle: His mage seems to be born with a natural affinity to these type of mental excerices. -Use of Rapier: Although Hyphen doesn't follow any conventional style of swordsplay, he is skillful in his own unorthodox patterns of fighting with a rapier sword. -General "Rougemanship": He knows how to live low in a city and how things move around in them, but perhaps not in the cleanest way. -Creative: Especially good improvising around with anything that can be translated into an expression of ones inner self or problem-solving. Ludus Magic- Spirit of Korani. Magic Type: Gameplaying. Tier of Magic: 1 Rank: 3 Magic description: The Ludus Magic focuses on the sole use of a certain Stellar Key, the Ludus Key, which is a special type of key. The spirits summoned don't necesarily appear physicially, instead, most of the time, it consists in binding the the area around the caster with a spell that forces all living beings within its range to play the spirits game, similar to runic magic. This Magic is very dependant on the Technique "Ludus Bind", as they have increased capabilities while within them and reduced abilities outside of it, leaving him vulnerable to surprise attacks or when his Ludus Binds duration ends. Ludus magic is very powerful, but in a childish and ridiculous kind of way, making its use more of a volatile haggle than true control. The summoner (Hyphen) focuses more on creating several mechanisms to improve his summon (Korani) and make her destructive tasks easier to accomplish. Starter Techniques: 2 Natural Techniques: 4 Bought Techniques: 6 Total Techniques: 12 Used Techniques: 4 Rule #101: Ludus Bind - 1 Type: Supportive Range: 0,7m Effect: Most Ludus magic can only exist within the area bound by the Ludus Key. The use of this magic affects the whole area within the limits of its range with a Ludus Bind, like a sphere (Hyphen can cast it with a lesser range). The Ludus bind itself doesn't do anything per se, but it allows the use of other Ludus techniques. This spell has a 2 turn cooldown, and a RANK+2 duration. Making a new Ludus bind while another in still in play will erase the first one. Ludus binds can be turned off upon Hyphens wish of doing so. Korani has -5 SP while outside a Ludus Bind. However, her techniques are boosted while within a Ludus Bind. Range at different ranks: Spoiler: click to toggle Rule #102: Korani Plays as Well - 2 Type: Supportive/Summon Range: None Effect: This represents the bond between Korani and Hyphen, as the bond increases so does Korani’s strength. For stats she counts as a summoned creature starting at D rank. She will continue to grow and become more powerful. Every rank in this skill beyond the first will increase her natural abilities. Spoiler: click to toggle Rules #20X: Ludus Key Depth- (1) Type: Supportive Range: N/A Effect: As the Ludus mages study digs deeper into the comprehension of its magic, they can tap even more into the power of Ludus and help generate even more complex rule-games, through Rules #20X. These "Rules" are like "powers" or "abilities" the user of this technique can use. At first, only Rule #201 is known. One rule is gained every 2 ranks beyond the first. Upon mastery *Rank 10* of this technique, Hyphen can cast use his Summon's spells as if they where his own, but three ranks lower. While the rules are magical, they can always be used even in an area where there is no magic (as long as there isn't any other restriction), note this does not allow summoning or anything like that, just the basic effect of the rule. o3o~ Weapon/Equipment - Please give approximate length and material for your rapier, shuriken, and Korani's mace, as well as material for helmet (simply because we have no idea concerning the defensive potential of helmet if someone tried to bash the head in with an axe) o3o~ Skills/Disciplines - Please give a short description - a sentence or phrase each, perhaps - on each skill/discipline, to clarify how skilled he is at the following o3o~ Korani - is...how tall?1,67 kilometers? o_O - Heaven's Bet - a debuff technique cannot debuff AND cancel a buff; they were made to counteract each other, in other words, to buff so debuffs wouldn't be as bad, and to debuff so buffs wouldn't be as effective |

After a brief conversation with the Dragon Mod himself, it has been found out that a debuff cannot be AoE - at most, you can debuff a max. number of people equal to the rank of the debuff technique, in order of closest people first. |
