Blinking a little bit, Noel frowned for a second as he took yet another glance at the older boy. Just what were the odds that both of them had a feeling they've seen each other before, yet neither of them remembered having met the other at all? Well, it was true that Noel had amnesia and couldn't remember his childhood prior to when he was fifteen years old, but that young man didn't seem like he had such problems. Brushing the thoughts away, Noel grinned as he extended his hand towards him and shook his, replying cheerfully: "It's really nice to meet you too, Simmons!" And so, after the three of them had gotten acquainted with each other, the older boy answered his previous question, revealing that he hadn't really thought of what he was going to say when he talked to him. Wanting to say that he didn't particularly mind because he always liked meeting new people, Noel got cut off when Katherine jumped in an agreed with what Simmons had said, making the other boy scratch the back of his head in embarrassment, unsure of how to respond to something like that. "Erm.. thanks, I guess.." he said with a mild blush crossing his cheeks.

He wasn't really used to other people being overwhelmed by his presence that much, and while it wasn't so bad, it was quite embarrassing. The kind bartender back at the Fairy Tail guild, Alayna, had told him that the higher he went, more such encounters he would have as he passed the people on the streets, whether he liked it or not. For now, he was handling it quite well, and while he had always been kind of shy and didn't like too much attention because of the embarrassment, all of that was weighted off by the new friendships he made with people he met. That was certainly something that outweighed any possible disadvantages that would have come with all of that. Not to mention that he was the kind of person to like surprises, and while he had been quite shocked when Katherine jumped on him just a few minutes ago, while he was unsuspectingly reading a book in the shade of a nearby tree, he couldn't say that the surprise wasn't a good thing. If anything, it had spiced up his day, that was for sure! And he was always up for something like that. Yet, he had no idea just how more surprised he would be, when Kitty suddenly turned towards him and asked him if he would brawl with her.

"A battle..? With m-me..?" he almost stuttered, his eyes widening as he glanced her up and down, blinking a couple of times in utter disbelief. It had been months since anyone had asked to have a brawl with him, and while he had rather enjoyed it, he had gone a bit overboard that time, and it hadn't ended well. Somehow, the people at the guild had found out about that and since then, no one had really dared to face him, which was a bit disappointing because Noel always liked to train with the others; it was much more fun than doing it all alone. But.. ".. Are you really sure?" he asked, "Because if you're really up for it, I'm in!" he smiled, his grin spreading across his face happily. This was becoming a pretty good day, and Noel didn't regret even for a little bit for coming at the park on this wonderful late spring day. "It's just that we can't really spar here in the park.. We'll have to find a place to do that elsewhere.." he mentioned, his eyes stopping on Simmons for a moment. "Oh, right, Simmons, do you want to watch? Later on, you can join us for the fight, too, if you want!" he suggested.

The Tracer of Blue Pegasus
After greeting Kathrine and starting a conversation with Noel, Simmons examined the young Fairy Tail Mage. As powerful as Kathrine was making him out to be, he didn't seem to comfortable discussing his own strength. The Tracer mage tilted his head curiously as he noticed this, wondering why the young blonde was uncomfortable with the praise he was recieving. Maybe he was shy or really modest about his power? Or maybe he just didn't like people making such a big deal over it? Even with reasons like that, Simmons thought that it was a weird way to react to such praise.

To the redhead, praise was a precious gift, and no matter how small or how big that praise was, one shouldn't feel embarrased about it. Praise meant you did or were doing something right; it let you know that you were performing a task well. Its not like Simmons ever let it go to his head whenever he recieved it; in fact, he only used it as a means to push himself even farther. He was never shy about recieving such compliments and was always humble about it, and whoever praised him recieved his thanks for their kindness and sincerity; this was why Noel's actions left him curious.

Still, he shrugged it off; it wasn't that important at the moment anyway. Besides, Kathrine was asking Noel something...

Quote:

"I just wanted to know, if you're really as powerful as the rumors say, Noel? If you are... will you.. umm... have a battle with me? I want to get stronger, and sparring with strong Mages is good training, right?"

Quote:

"Are you really sure? Because if you're really up for it, I'm in!"

Though he agreed with her reasons, the Tracer mage was a little taken back by her sudden request for Noel to fight her, not to mention Noel's easy acceptance of her request. At the same time, he thought it might not be that strange when it came to Fairy Tail mages; he had heard that they were notorious for roughhousing and loose actions, and that they had been in trouble with the Magic Coulncil more than once. To them, asking the other for a fight was probably the equivalent of asking a budy to share a drink.

He was about to ask if he could watch, but Noel beat him to it.

Quote:

"Oh, right, Simmons, do you want to watch? Later on, you can join us for the fight, too, if you want!"

Simmons thought about the option for a moment, before smiling confidently in reply.

"I appreciate the offer. Sure, why not? I haven't had a good spar with another mage for a while, and I could always use the experience..."

In truth, he began to feel that this was his subconcious reason for coming over here. He did not know Noel, and he never cared for celebrities that much; the only other thing that drew him was some unknown familiarity between the two. It was strange that they both experienced the same feeling, he had to admit that much. Still, he had been increasing his magical control for a while now, and was eager to see how far he had come. The redhead knew that he wouldn't win the match, but at the very least he would try to impress Noel.

He motined the other two to continue on, "I'm not that familiar with this city, so you guys can lead the way."

I'm in love. <3
The young Fairy Tail girl seemed anxious as she awaited the young Fairy Tail boy to give some sort of response to her request for a battle, and he seemed quite surprised that she had even challenged him at all. Something in his eyes said he was both shocked and maybe even slightly impressed with this young lady's guts. Katherine had only been a member of Fairy Tail a couple month at least, so perhaps she had simply not heard the story of Noel's mishap the last time he was challenged? Or maybe she simply didn't care? Either way, she was a brave one and Noel seemed to realize this as he confirmed her request by asking, ".. Are you really sure? Because if you're really up for it, I'm in!" A grin soon had spread across the blonde's face, which caused the brunette to perk up as well as she stated boldly, "Yes! Yes, I really really want to fight you! Strong opponents don't scare me, they only fuel my desire to take them on! Some people, like my Dad, call me wreckless because of that. But I can't help it. I love the thrill of the challenge!" She pumped her fist into the air as high as she could, jumping upright until only her toes touched down on the ground. Both the blonde and the redhead seemed surprised by their brunette friend's zest and enthusiasm; she certainly was a spunky one!

After a moment of looking around, Noel had gained the attention of one Kitty who tilted her head as she asked him what was wrong, to which he had replied, "It's just that we can't really spar here in the park.. We'll have to find a place to do that elsewhere.." Looking around, she realized he was right. They might accidently destroy something or hurt someone; and as much of a reputation as Fairy Tail had in doing just that, it'd probably be best if they tried to avoid such a calamity as opposed to cause it. As Katherine was about to respond, she heard Noel invite Simmons to be an observer in their match, to which she heard the Tracer Mage reply with a smile, "I appreciate the offer. Sure, why not? I haven't had a good spar with another mage for a while, and I could always use the experience..." This news made Katherine very happy, for the girl had very few friends. But it seemed like ever since she joined Fairy Tail and settled down in one place, she's been making friends all over! As much as she enjoyed traveling and seeing new sights with Ivan, it was nice to be able to make friends for a change; friends she could keep, and not have to say goodbye to. However, not only did she have friends... she had training partners as well! The question was.. where exactly were they going to train?

"I'm not that familiar with this city, so you guys can lead the way." Katherine heard Simmons say, to which she blushed as she began to rub the back of her head awkward. "Yeah, well... I'm from an Orphanage in Makahiya Village. I've only been in Magnolia about a month or so... I don't know the place very well myself. Noel, do you know an area around here that might be more secluded and not so dangerous to do our training in?" She proceeded to ask as she turned her attention away from the tall redhead, her gaze now focused on the attractive blonde. Wow, what a day she was having. She not only made two new friends instantly, but she also gets to do some training with them. And the plus bonus? They're both attractive young males!

After they agreed on training together, it came to the question of where would be the suitable place for something like that. Much like Kitty, Noel had also immediately excluded the possibility of going at it here in the park; while Fairy Tail mages didn't really mind destruction and such, they were still smart enough not to start a brawl in the middle of the town's park, where there was a lot of people that could get hurt, including kids. No, they had to find another place for sure. And since it seemed that neither Simmons, nor Katherine were familiar enough with the city of Magnolia, it seemed that Noel was going to be the one to find an appropriate place for a training. "I suppose I know the city better, since I've moved here quite a while ago.. But, hm.. I wonder where we could train.." he thought out aloud, making a thinking pose. For a moment, he thought about all the possibilities, considering all the places within a city where they would be potentially able to train, until he finally discarded all of them because there was a good chance they would destroy something or hurt someone accidentally.

"Oh, I know! Follow me!" he told the two of them, and he began to walk down the path that led out of the Southgate park, on the way back to the town. Leading them through the town, they passed the Market District and the main street of Magnolia, until they finally found themselves in the Residential District of the town. Walking past the beautiful houses on both sides, Noel led his two new friends towards the end of the street, where an orange house stood, with a nice steel fence in the front and a big frontyard. The two-story house was definitely one of the bigger in the area, and it seemed like one of the newer houses as well, the style of building modern and robust. Stopping there, Noel nudged with his head for them to follow, as he opened the doors of the fence and led them in. "I guess this is it.." he said modestly, leading them down the path past a big garden with exotic flowers and a fountain nearby. They actually had to walk a bit to reach the main doors of the enormous house, but instead of leading them in, Noel led them around the house, until they reached the backyard, that was even more impressive than what they had seen in the front.

Reaching the backyard, a nice view would open up for them of the stretching land and a neatly trimmed lawn. Right behind the house was a porch with a table and a few chairs next to it, sunbathing in the afternoon warmth of the sun. From it, a path led down a few small stairs and onto the backyard, stretching forwards as far as the eye could see, through a neatly ordered flower garden. It separated into a few paths along the way, one of them leading to what they would be able to see as an enormous pool up ahead. The other one led to a tennis court, and a few more paths to other parts of the enormous land. It disappeared somewhere off into the distance, where the Eastern Forest had already started, so far it was stretching. However, the mages didn't come here to admire the scenery and the amount of land Noel possessed, as he was actually more embarrassed about it than anything else. After all, he was aware that it probably looked a bit strange for a youngster of his age to own such a manor, but.. ".. I know it's kinda big.. But at least it has that feeling of home.."

Finally, they stopped on a large platform just outside the house, and that's where Noel faced the two of them. "I think here would be a nice place for us to train. This porch is big enough and we don't have to be afraid of breaking anything."

Glancing at the female mage, he jumped a few meters back briskly, facing her. He was smiling a little bit, and he went into a fighting stance, putting one of his hands up in the air, as well as placing the opposite leg on the ground slightly in front of him. "I'm ready when you are," he said.

The Tracer of Blue Pegasus
After Katherine confirmed her unfamiliarity with the area like Simmons, Noel only took a few moments to think before telling the two mages to follow him. The redhead complied, walking behind and to the right of the young prodigal mage as they walked toward an unknown destination. As they left the park, they made their way through the market district, a place very familiar to the Tracer from his last visit to the city.

He had previously been in the city to pick up old and rare books for the librarian back in Poinsetta. During which time, he met two other individuals from the Fairy Tail guild; it was with their offer to help him restore the books to perfect condition that he first laid eyes on the famous guild. They had introduced him to the desk assistant, who set about restoring the books outside of the guild. Thats when the 'fun' started; a skater using magic powered rollerblades zipped by, stole one of his books, and made off with it. Simmons and the other two mages set off after the theif, leading them on a high speed chase throughout the Market District.

Thankfully, Simmons had retrieved the book, and it turned out that the theif was only trying to pay for his grandmother's medicine. Though the redhead was still heavily annoyed at being stolen from, he lemented and decided to help pay for the medication; after all, nobody was hurt except the skater. But as Noel, Kathrine, and Simmons walked through the bustling district, the Blue Pegasus mage couldn't help but look down at the familiar area's road, where the theif had unleashed the magic in his rollerblades.

As it turned out, even a month after the incident, black skids from the high fire released from the skates stille remained, thought not as prominent. When the theif had attempted to get away, he used a combination of high friction and magical boosters to jump high into the air with a tower of fire following him. It was by sheer luck that no innocent bystander had been caught in the raging inferno, and it made Simmons realize just how dangerous magic could be in the wrong hands; it only solidified his decision to join a guild, so that if he ever met someone like that again, he could quickly put an end to their recklessness before they hurt someone.

It took them a while before they finally reached their destination; an enormous, two story mansion.

Quote:

"I guess this is it.."

Simmons stared curiously at the huge mansion, wondering why this was their destination. He soon followed Noel to the side and down a path that led to the backyard. As they walked pass the enormous garden, he began to realize; this was Noel's home. Why else would the young mage freely walk into the backyard of a mansion without stopping at the front door first. Though he was suprised by the lavishness of the front garden, Simmons' jaw nearly dropped when he saw the massive backyard. No, a backyard was an understatement...it was a freaking plane. The young mage, the Simmons' junior, owned such an enormous amount of property!

"Christ," Simmons mentally swore, his mouth hung open as a drop of sweat rolled down the back of his h ead, "Just how freakin' powerful IS this kid to get this kind of land?!"

"This is...uhh....impressive," he decided to comment, his expression and tone giving away just how overwhelming the amount of land was. He couldn't remember seeing this much rich property since he was a child...

Quote:

".. I know it's kinda big.. But at least it has that feeling of home.."

With that, the redheaded mage decided to shake off his suprise and walk over to the platform's edge; he was beginning to get used to suprises, so it was easier to accept something as rediculous as a sixteen year old owning his own land. He leaned his back against the wooden guard rail of the porch, facing the direction of the two mages as they were about to begin fighting. Since he didn't know either one well enough and only just met the two mages, Simmons decided to keep from cheering either side on. Instead, he watched intently as the fight was about to start, his only words were encouraging to both of them.

"Well, good luck to both of you!"

Katherine followed suit, walking close behind Simmons as the two followed Noel out of the park and back into the City where they passed through the Market District to which Katherine had then proceeded to look around. The Market District was pretty impressive to the young girl who had really only seen the Park, for the most part. She went to the Park for both of her Missions, one involving walking a couple unruly cats. The other related to teaching a young boy how to defend himself against bullies. Both Missions were very eventful, to say the least, and as she thought back on the events she let out a tiny chuckle. She may have been to the Market District perhaps once or twice in order to do some shopping, but she couldn't say she was very familiar with the place in general. In fact, if it wasn't for following Noel... she'd probably get lost!

Magnolia was a huge City with so much to see and do, and so far all she had on her list of 'things to see' were the Park, the Fairy Tail building, the Church, a forest area where Renji's Mansion resided, and now the Shopping District. She was still amazed with how much this City held and couldn't help but wonder what else lie in store for her. Her question was answered shortly after she had thought it however, as she heard Noel say, "I guess this is it.." To which the girl lifted her head, her eyes widening at the sight of the two story Mansion. It was as big... no... bigger than her boyfriend's Mansion. She was immensely impressed, to say the very least, as she was a child that had been born and raised in nothing more than a shack compared to places like this. As she followed the boys down a small hill, around the side of the Mansion and into the Backyard she soon reached the same conclusion Simmons had come to.

This Mansion belonged to Noel!

'Just how freakin' powerful IS Noel to own this kind of land?!' Katherine had thought simultaneously to that of Simmons as they both stood side by side, staring in dumbstruck awe at the sight before them. "This is...uhh....impressive," The Tracer Mage had finally managed to spit out his comment, as the Exquip shook her head and emphasized upon it with her own. "Impressive is an understatement! This is freakin' awesome!" She clasped her hands together, eyes sparkling as she wore an 'o' shaped smile upon her face. Noel made a remark on it being kinda big but still feeling like home, and the girl couldn't help but giggle at his modesty. Noel was powerful AND rich; she felt so honored to know him. No. To be in the same Guild as him! The Mind Mage soon made his way to the porch, in which Katherine ran after him, taking her positon as he leapt backwards and moved into a battle stance without hesitation. This was it, it was time to go....

"I'm ready when you are," Kitty heard Noel say. Smiling very confidently, the girl stepped into her own battle stance. Her left leg was placed back, her right forward, similiar to that of Noel; however, her hands were positioned differently than his own. Her one arm was up as if preparing to block with a Shield, the other posed to strike with a Blade of some kind. "I'm always ready, Noel!" As Simmons wished them both luck, she nodded without taking her eyes off her opponent and offered a quick thanks to the redhead before preparing to get this show on the road. It was time to go, and her body now began to glow as she Requipped her strongest armor set, colored in red gold and silver as her long brown hair was promptly placed within a single ponytail. Well, it wasn't really her strongest... but she wasn't going to use her Neko Armor until she could see what this boy could do.

Along with her armor, a Buckler appeared attached to that of her right arm. As a Magic Circle appeared in front of her, her left had pulled a Scimitar from out of thin air. As the Circle vanished, Katherine dashed toward Noel as fast as she could move, holding the blade at an angle toward her opposite side and delivering a swift upward diaganal slash. She would then prepare to block any counter attacks he may dish out with her shield as she would brace herself directly after launching her attack.

The expressions on their faces and their surprised words when they walked past the house, which truly looked more like a mansion, to the back part of it where the training was going to begin, Noel blushed a little bit. This wasn't the first time he had brought friends to his home, and it seemed that whenever he did, they reacted in a similar manner - shocked and surprised by the fact that a teenage boy actually owned something of such proportions, his visitors always looked around themselves in awe as he showed them around. Who was to blame them though, thought Noel to himself as he lead the two of his friends to the platform. It was rather shocking, if not outright unbelievable for the boy his age to have a manor like that in his possession, which was why he could understand their surprise.

Up until now, whenever someone asked him where he had gotten enough money to be able to afford something like this, he would tell them he had inherited it from his parents. While that was actually the truth, even Noel himself wasn't sure about the details. Not being able to remember his past, the only thing Noel got as a proof, was that letter and nothing else. Because of that, and the fact that he wasn't too keen on talking about his parents in the first place, he was always glad when people didn't ask him questions about all of that.

But now really wasn't the time to think about all of that. Once he had attained his battle stance and Katherine had done likewise, Simmons wished them good luck on the fight. Nodding towards him in acknowledgement, Noel turned his attention back to the girl standing on the other side of the platform, and a small smile crossed his face when she replied to his previous statement. Remaining in the battle stance, Noel watched as Katherine's body suddenly glowed. "Oooh.. So she's an Ex-equip mage.." the boy thought to himself, as he wasn't told before about what magic she was able to use. Nonetheless, he knew how this kind of magic worked, since his teammate Larkin was an Ex-equip mage as well, and he had seen him swap his armors and weapons countless times. Within a second, her clothes were swapped by a shiny armor with neat metallic and red-colored plates, as well as golden strifes that went really neatly with the graceful design of the armor. Another trait of the armor that Noel just couldn't help not to like, was also the fact that it wasn't a full armor, instead revealing parts of her legs and arms, which looked rather sexy, when he thought about it.. Yet, he couldn't think about it for too long, as the girl ex-equipped her weapon and dashed at him.

His eyes widening slightly, as he truly hadn't expected her to be that fast, Noel was still quick enough to sidestep to the side and lower his head slightly so that the sharp weapon passed right above his head. Seeing the opening just before she would pull back and defend from his possible counter-attack, Noel didn't take the option, rather avoiding her strike and jumping backwards a little bit, his eyes set on the girl. His lips didn't move, but she would suddenly be able to hear in her mind: "You're quite fast.." A small smile crossed his face at her possible funny reaction to the fact that he had spoken to her directly in her mind. It was just a minor thing, really, as he had decided not to use his magic on her just yet. Instead, he unsheathed his quarterstaff that he had been carrying on his back, and he spun it in his hands like it was nothing, before dashing towards her.

Within half a moment, Noel would clear the distance that was between him and Katherine, and the staff hit the shield, repelling from it. But then Katherine would realize there would soon come the second blow and then the third. Spinning his quarter staff, Noel went for a horizontal slash at her hips, and then spun around to deliver a diagonal slash from the top to the bottom. However, these hits weren't going for her shield like the first one had, but instead went for the openings in her armor that he had noticed already in the beginning of the battle. He smiled as he crouched from a possible counter-attack and then whooshed his staff towards her legs in an attempt to trip her. With that, the boy propelled himself backwards a little bit to gain some distance once again between the two of them, as well as give her enough space and time to recover from the sudden rain of attacks. He would wait for her to attack him once again once she was ready.

The Tracer of Blue Pegasus
OOC: (Couldn't think of much else to type, so I went off into a random tangent...sorry. XD)

Simmons looked on as the two mages began their fight. He was suddenly captivated by the discovery of Kathrine's Magic; Ex-Quip. It was interesting to see her clothing transform into armor and a weapon, since he had only heard of the magic and its description before. Now, he could honestly say that he had seen and met an Ex-Quip mage. Quickly afterwards, his mind's attentiont shifted toward the sword Kathrine wielded.

The Tracer mage studied the cutlass for a few seconds, taking in as much of its details as possible. He was thinking of its shape, the way the blade curved and how thin it was, the handle grip and hand guard, etc. He also studied the marking on the blades side, the sturdiness of the metal, and how the user handled the blade. After seeing it, he instantly began to think of a tracer-framework for a similar weapon. Using the design of the blade as a guide, he projected a mental image of a grided frame forming. In his mind, he twisted the shape of the grid to resemble that of the weapon in Kathrine's hand; he then went on to form a handle and hand guard of his own....

This was a common occurance for the redheaded mage; whenever he saw a new weapon or armor of some sort, he couldn't help but be inspired to think up of new weapon deisgns. It wasn't that he constantly made himself do it as a form of discipline, he was just so fascinated with weapons that spotting an interesting design give him the inspiration he needed to think up of a few of his own. This was a good thing, too; he recently discovered that he was able to manipulate the chemical makeup of items he created using the Transcendant Tracer. This would allow him to not only make weapons using his magic, but weapons made up of the same types of metals and other materials found in them. Unfortunately for him, the process of replicating an actual form of matter was a strenuous and time consuming task; not at all effective in a combat situation for the amount of time it took. Still, he would keep practicing with the technique as much as possible, hoping that one day it will come easily enough for him to create a completely real sword in the blink of an eye...

After the momentary boost if inspiration, Simmons watched the fight unfold. He was impressed by the speed at which the young woman dashed toward her opponent, and became highly interested once Noel dodged her attack gracefully and countered with his quarter staff. As the two individuals fought, he began to realize just how much better they both were than him. It made sense though; most of his life, he had to learn a difficult magic all on his own, instead of being taught or having the magic come naturally to him. It took him 8 years to get to where he was, and he still had a long way to go.

As he continued to watch the ensuing fight, a familiar pang of jealousy tugged at him....

Katherine's speed may have impressed Noel, but not nearly half as much as his impressed her. As he side stepped her attack, causing the young girl to miss entirely, she turned toward him with a surprised yet serious expression on her face as she awaited his next move. Well, she saw a small taste of his speed, but so far that was all she saw. His strength, his Magic, those were both things that were unknown to her. The one thing that made her the most uncomfortable at this point was the fact this boy was totally calm during this fight, and always had a smile on his face. Was that smile to show he was having fun? Or was he smiling because he knew she could never defeat him? Either way, it left her wondering; however she quickly stopped her mind from wandering, as she had to stay focused on the task at hand other wise she really would lose. If he wanted to take her down, she fully intended to give him everything she had before falling to him. "You're quite fast.." She heard his voice speak directly to her, into her mind, in fact. This caused her eyes to widen, and the girl to jump backward a couple feet in shock as she stared at him. "Did you just use Telepathy!?" She exclaimed, which was pretty stupid of her to do. She heard all over the Guild that he was a very powerful Mind Mage, so a simple trick like Telepathy shouldn't have been too much of a surprise. "Okay... Now I'm impressed..." Her voice lowered to a normal tempo at that point, the surprise fading as her serious and focused expression returned once more. Her eyes never left him as he brought forth his Quarterstaff.

Noel's speed became more apparent as he dashed toward her slamming his Quarterstaff into her Buckler, the force causing her to slide backward a few inches. Thankfully, her well trained stance kept her on her feet. He soon followed up by swinging his Quarterstaff into her Partially exposed hips, causing her to let out a small cry of pain as she soon felt a portion of his strength as well. The impact of the sudden blow caused her to stumble off balance for a moment, cringing in pain from the force that went with it. Her eyes widened as she saw said Quarterstaff coming at her again from above, this time aiming more closely toward her shoulder area. Katherine was a bit quicker to react this time, lifting her Scimitar and using it to not only block the Staff, but repel it away from her as well. This plan worked, until she realized he wasn't quite finished yet and delivered a third blow into her legs which resulted in knocking the Exquip off her feet as she fell to her butt with a small yelp of both pain and surprise. Looking up at the smiling young blonde, she rubbed her backside before regrasping the hilt of her sword, which she lost her grip on as she fell. 'Damn it... Noel is fast, and strong. And this is just without using Magic. Were the rumors about him true? If so, there's no way I can beat him...' She thought, slowly rising to her feet as she observed the boy who now awaited her recovery and her next attempt to strike him. A smirk soon formed on her face as she finished her thoughts out loud. "But I sure as hell ain't letting that stop me from giving him all the fight I have in me."

She'd need a bit of a strategy, as it was painfully obvious that rushing him wasn't going to cut it. Instead, she circled around him slowly, seeking out a spot to attack. He might be fast, but she wasn't letting him get away without at least receiving one blow from her, one way or another. Moving back around the front of her opponent, she'd throw her Scimitar toward him, using Blade Levitation to control its direction with her mind. He'd soon realize she had her own mind tricks to play, and as she made the blade fly toward her she dashed around behind him, Buckler forward as she aimed a Shield Smash into her spine. She'd then follow that up by dropping to the ground and delivering a low kick in attempt to trip him up as he had done her earlier. Rising from her squatting position, she'd then leap backward catching her Scimitar as it flew back toward herself. After her attack was complete, she'd stand back smirking as she awaiting his next move, her feet stepping back into position, Shield up and Sword at the ready. This was where things were going to get interesting. They were both so young, yet they were both strong Mages. Albeit, Noel was far more superior than the melee based Exquip in front of him. Knowing this, she still continued to fight, and from the expression on her face she was clearly enjoying the ride.

Teh cuteness =3
Jumping backwards from him, the girl's eyes widened as she looked at him with a surprised look on her face. Noel could tell that she hadn't expected him speaking directly into her mind, though he was quite sure that she was at least aware of that power. After all, she was a member of the same guild as him, and she seemed to know quite a bit about him; and his powers weren't really a mystery either. Even if she hadn't heard about his Telepathy, it was somehow to be expected, as it was one of the more basic powers a Mind mage would possess, and not really harmful, unless you tried to use it in that way. And yet, he could see the obvious surprise and shock on her face, as she exclaimed a question that almost made the boy chuckle. "Indeed I did.." the Fairy Tail mage replied, his eyes focused on Katherine, who was looking right back at him. He could see her chest heaving up and down as she breathed a bit faster than she normally did, probably the result of the rather quick movement she had had to go through just a minute or so ago, when she had began an attack on her opponent. He knew she wasn't tired yet, and it wasn't his intention to tire her out, but rather give her an opportunity to strike him, if she was skilful enough to pull that through, that is.

".. But you shouldn't get surprised by stuff like that," he said moments before he rushed in for the attack. Even though he had put quite a speed and strength behind all of the attacks, Katherine was doing rather well at trying to dodge and repel them back at him. A few times, he had managed to strike her, and finally knocked her down at the end, but she had actually been able to block some of his attacks as well. Watching her pull herself back on her feet, he smiled as she smirked and said she wasn't going to be stopped so easily. "That's the spirit," the boy said cheerfully, watching as she began to circle around him, looking for an opening. When she was somewhere behind him, the boy was still able to sense her, which was why he didn't turn around so that he would be able to see her, knowing that he could find out whether she was going to attack him like that or not. Yet, she didn't attack up until when she had circled around him and was already in front of him once again. Then, she threw her sword in his direction with one swift movement of her hand, the razor sharp steel flying towards his head quickly, while the girl moved around him to strike him in the back while he was distracted by the sword.

However, as the sword flew towards his chest in a perfect straight line, something weird happened moments before it would reach the boy. In a single moment, the path of the sword curved, and it flew above his head before curving down once again towards Katherine, who had put her shield in front of her, most probably in an attempt to bash him in the back with it. And how lucky she was to have done that, as her own sword clashed against the shield on its own moments before she would dart in for the attack, giving Noel enough time to turn around. The sword fell on the floor, making a clingy sound as it hit it, and in the next moment, Katherine dropped to the ground and attempted to deliver a kick, which the boy avoided by jumping up high in the air. While she was still in the middle of an attack, he jumped over her and turned around to deliver a blow with his quarter staff at her back while she was still on the floor. Jumping back a little bit, he'd hardly give her enough time to get back into the position, when he already lunged himself at her once again, this time a bit quicker than he had before, spinning his staff above his head and then bringing it down towards her side and chest in a propeller-like manner. The spin was so fast that it was creating the wind beneath and above it, making Noel's hair rise as the wind hit his face.

If the attack was to hit, which would likely cause the quarter staff to stop against her side, the boy would quickly pull it back, and the push it back towards her with one end, as if trying to stab her with it, though the staff was made out of wood and he definitely didn't put in enough force to do more than just knock her back if it were to hit.
