It was another beautiful day with nothing but clear skies, decorated by a beautiful rainbow after a previous rainfall had ended. As soon as the skies were clear, a young 15 year old Mage by the name of Katherine Noelle Keller wasted no time stepping outdoors once more as she headed to the Southgate Park to relax and have fun. The birds were singing, the wind smelled fresh and felt cool against her skin as it tickled her cheeks, causing her long brown hair to dance lightly in the breeze, and if there were two things this girl could truly say she loved, it was training and having fun! Well, there was a third thing she loved; finally being part of a Guild! And not just any Guild. The most wild, epic, awesome, amazing, exciting, wonderful, terrific, troublesome, popular Guild in all of Fiore!

Fairy Tail!

The girl was dressed in her usual basic tomboyish attire; a Tee Shirt colored pink with a trio of black cats across her chest, a pair of basic looking black jeans, and lastly finishing her attire with a pair of black sneakers coated with white and a bit of purple for design. She was also wearing a set of basic white socks, which completed her attire. Resting upon her left shoulder could be seen plainly in the color of blue; her Fairy Tail Tattoo. She was very proud of who she was, and put very little effort into hiding her membership with that of the most renowned, although not always for the right reason, Guild around.

As the clouds rolled across the sky, her eyes caught a glimpse of the sun as she held up her arm instictually in order to block the light from blinding her vision. It certainly was a beautiful day with the perfect mixture of warm and cool. The warm sun felt good on her skin, as did the cool wind blowing lightly against her face. She had a feeling this was going to be another great day full of fun and adventure just waiting for her. Maybe she'll even make new friends while in the Park!

Friends.

There was a word she never thought she'd hear again. Living with Ivan had been tough ever since he adopted her. The constant traveling and relocation made it hard for her to make and keep friends. But ever since she met Renji and he took her to Fairy Tail, her life has changed for the better. Her and her Dad have a place to settle in, that of Renji's Mansions or Fairy Tail's Guild Hall. She don't have to lose friends, as everyone in Fairy Tail can be her friend now and it be forever, as long as she remains a member of that wonderful and friendly Guild. Well, mostly friendly. She did get a good laugh at the drunkards and the ocassional brawls that ensued; sometimes participating in the fights herself just for fun!

The grass rustled beneathe her feet with each step she took as she entered farther into the beautiful Park, passing through the gates as she looked around to see if she'd spot any familiar faces. Mostly she saw people walking their pets, pr children playing under the watchful eyes of their parents. It made her smile, actually, cause she remembered her own Father; God rest his soul. She had no memory of her Mother, however, as she died giving birth to this young girl; and so looking at all these kids with their Mothers did sadden her somewhat. She couldn't help feel a little envious as she wondered what it was like to have a Mother.

Sighing softly her head shook as her frown was soon replaced by a smile. Nothing was going to ruin this gorgeous day for her, nope, not this time. She was going to enjoy herself one way or another. And she did so by approaching the play ground section of the Park and settling herself in the seat of a swing set. Walking backwards as far as she could, she released and was swung forward flying into the air as she kicked her legs in perfect rythme in order to propel the swing as high and fast as she desired. Her light blue eyes sparkled in delight, her hair waving out behind her everytime she swung forward, and a huge smile upon her face through the entire experiance; yes, this was a perfect day, indeed.

Sitting not too far away from the playground was Noel Aramis, another mage of Fairy Tail, who had come to the park that day to relax a little bit after a long and tiresome week. It was his owl, Buster, who had suggested him to take a break from all the missions he had gone on lately and stay at home for a few days to relax a bit. And so, the boy had decided to listen to his suggestion, which proved to be a rather good thing. It was as if the burden on his shoulders had at least temporarily lifted and he was able to breathe in once again, enjoying the first warm days of the ending spring. He had spent some of his free time at home, watching the movie Lachrimas and playing his piano, or he would go to the guild and just talk to his guildmates like he almost never did as he was always so busy.

The last few days really had been fun, but since the boy knew he would soon have to start going on missions once again, he had decided to spend the warm Satuday afternoon in the Magnolia park. Buster had decided to fly to East forest and try to catch a few rodents, while his teammates Alastor and Larkin were out on a mission together. And so, Noel had taken a book on the History of Magic from one of the shelves in his apartment and settled of for the park himself. Finding a nice shady spot under one of the enormous trees that were near the playground, Noel let out a soft sigh as he plopped himself down on the ground, leaning against the trunk of the tree with his back.

Taking his glasses from one of his pockets and putting them on, the boy set the book into his lap, glaring at the title for a few moments. Then, he opened the book and navigated to the page he had last read. Pushing his glasses higher up his nose and moving a little bit until he was in a comfortable enough position, the boy began to read about the great disruption of the old Era, which had caused the Magical Council to be formed. Noel loved history, and he enjoyed the books that were able to present the events in a way that they seemed more like a story than an actual list of facts, and that was exactly how the book he was reading was written. That, combined with the fact that it was talking about magic, which was one of Noel's favourite subjects, was making it a perfect read.

The boy wasn't disturbed by the sounds around him, that consisted of the soft chirping of the birds and shouts of the kids playing at the nearby playground. On the contrary, it was as if the sounds in his surroundings had slowly started to dissipate as the boy focused more and more on the interesting story that he was reading. At first, he had glanced up from the book once or twice, his eyes temporarily stopping on the people that passed the nearby path, and the kids that were playing ball on the lawn not too far away, but after a little while, it was as if the book had completely sucked him in.

"... and so the dragons were born. There was said to be at least twelve of them, one of the each element and they were truly ferocious beings. Their scales protecting them from any kind of magical attacks that would be hurled at them, and their Dragon's Breath capable of destroying smaller towns, they soon proved to be a threat to the society, despite the fact that they often didn't want to meddle with human affairs. Out of fear that they might destroy the towns of the old Fiore Kingdom, the most powerful wizards of that time had formed a Magical Council, whose primary task was to protect the population from the evil dragons..." the boy read quietly to himself.

Turning the page, Noel looked up from his book and glanced around a little bit, his eyes stopping on the figure of a familiar-looking girl, swinging on the swing set of the nearby playground. He had a feeling he had seen her somewhere before, but he couldn't quite put a finger on it, until he noticed the tattoo on his shoulder that could be seen even from this far away. The memories quickly returned; he had spotted her once or twice while he was looking at the request board in the guild, she had to be one of the newer members. While he would have usually stood up and went to greet her, he was feeling just a little too comfortable sitting there leaned against the tree and reading his book. She, too, seemed to have a lot of fun on her own, so he decided to just wave at her when she looked in his direction, before glancing down at the book in front of him and continuing to read, wherever he had remained at.

The Tracer of Blue Pegasus
Simmons Harmon, with his eyes glued tightly to the book he held up before him, slowly walked down the streets of Magnolia. Though he was reading, he kept a small bit of awareness for his surroundings, making sure that he didn’t accidentally bump into anybody due to his own clumsiness. He had already realized how terrible he was at noticing his surroundings when he became interested in something, and after the last time he had been in the huge city, he was determined to be a lot more careful.

It truly was a beautiful day; Simmons felt comfortable even in his blue, denim-jean jacket and blue jean pants. His jacket was open, allowing his regular white shirt to be seen underneath. Though he was comfortable in his everyday clothing, he was beginning to realize just how much he needed a new wardrobe. After several recent missions and adventures, his jacket was heavily frayed with several stitches in it.

None-the-less, they would still work for as long as he needed them to.

At the moment, he was in Magnolia running another errand for the librarian back in Poinsettia. Unlike last time, where he had come to the city to deliver a collection of rare books back to the old bookworm, he was there to deliver a message for him. After how well the Tracer mage performed in his last errand, he had a high opinion of the young adult, and wanted him to perform another task for him.

Deciding to take his book along, he had finally found some time after his job was done to begin reading...

“Dimensional Magic is divided up into three branches; Spirita (Spiritual), Physica (Physical), and the rare and powerful Realtú (Reality). Spirita and Physica effectively describe their namesakes; where Physica affects the user’s physical abilities, the Spirita branch is comprised of magic that manipulates specific aspects of nature. Also, while the Spirita branch holds many different types of magic (some of which haven’t been discovered yet), there are only 4 types in the Physica Branch….”

Simmons was murmuring to himself as he read from the green leathered book, becoming more and more enthralled with the in-depth explanation of his family’s magic. After finding the book, he was curious as to what secrets it held about his family and the power they held…well, USED to hold.

And who knows, maybe he would find a breakthrough when it came to mastering his OWN magic. Though he wanted to skip ahead to the section that described his own specific magic, he decided that it was best to read through until the end…

“Realtú, on the other hand, is on a whole other level from the other two. This branch, consequently, is what defines and separates Dimensional Magic from every other existing magic. Most regular magic takes processes that humans can usually perform through technology (and even those that technology CAN’T replicate), and performs them much more efficiently. Dimensional Spirita and Physica take this to a new level, increasing the effects of the magic to . And finally…”

Simmons, having noticed a bench off to the side as he walked, decided to sit down and continue to read. He had unknowingly traveled halfway across Magnolia, and had arrived in the city’s park. Lifting one leg over the other knee, he relaxed his body as he finished reading the paragraph.

“Realtú is, in effect, magic that warps the very fabric of reality to the user’s whim...”

The man barely registered his surroundings, not even noticing the young teenageer swinging happily on the playset or the other young man who seemed caught up in his own book...

Katherine was enjoying her swingset ride as she lifted off into the air as high as she could at every kick off. She hardly noticed the redhead to the right of her and the blonde to the left who were both content to reading a book; that was until she noticed the boy to the left was waving in her direction. Upon closer inspection she had a feeling she'd seen him somewhere before, but where? Was it around the Guild Hall? Yes, it was definately around the Guild. So why had she never spoke to him before? She's a very social girl so by logic she should know every member personally by now. Then she remembered why she had never gotten the opportunity to talk to him. He was Noel Aramis! The Fairy Tail Mage that was always on the cover of Wizard Weekly! He was raved as the strongest Mage around, or at least the strongest around Fairy Tail; maybe even the world! She would have spoken to him before now, but he was always busy going on awesome Missions with his Team Mates, Larkin and Alastor! She was impressed by how strong Alastor was but compared to Noel he's nothing! Now was her one and only chance to meet and try to impress the strongest Mage in the world!

Kicking forward once more, she leapt off the swing set in mid-air and hit the ground, running toward the blonde haired Mage at full speed as she tackled him to the ground, knocking the book from his hands and rolling through the grass before finally managing to pin him to the ground. At this point Noel would probably be wondering if anyone got the liscence plate number of the mac truck that just hit him; however, his thoughts would soon be interrupted by the overly excited squeal of the girl that now sat on top of him, stranding her legs on each side of his waist while her hands rested on his shoulder. Her blue eyes sparkled as they peered into his emerald ones, full of exthusiasm and friendliness. Her antics probably captured a lot of attention and stares, maybe even a few hushed whispers as the 15 year old straddled her 16 year old Guildmate in a most perverted fashion; without even realizing how it looked to others.

"Oh, my God! He's you! I mean, you're him! Noel Aramis! I can't believe I'm finally talking to you! I seen you in Wizard Weekly! And I see you around the Guild every day! I always wanted to meet you but you were always busy! I didn't want to disturb you when you go on your awesome Missions! You gotta tell me what kind of stuff you've done! Have you faught giants? Did you meet any Dragons? Oh, how silly of me! You probably don't know who I am, do you? I'm Katherine Noelle Keller! See, see!? My middle name is the same as your first! We have so much in common! I've only been a member of Fairy Tail a couple months, but I know a lot about you! Are you really as strong as they say you are? I heard you're the strongest Mage ever! Your Magic is called Mind Aether, right? Can you really read minds? Oh wow, if you can I feel silly for even bothering to introduce myself!" She rambled on and on and on, it was like she was her own Noel Aramis fan club! All the while she wore a huge excited grin on her face as she peered down at her 'victim' completely forgetting she was even pinning him. She certainly was a hyper little girl, and a pretty one at that. As much as she was talking, Noel would probably have a hard time getting a word in edge wise. Did she ever run out of air?

It wouldn't appear so as she could talk without taking a breath between phrases. Eventually, she realized she was holding the poor boy to the ground and she decided to let him up, apologizing profusely for her bold and unexpected actions toward him. Blushing with embarassment of the situation she began to rub her right arm, while staring toward the ground with a hint of red in her cheeks. Well, at least she finally shut up. Maybe Noel could get a chance to talk now. Kitty just seemed so cheerful and excitably hyper; her emotions probably radiated to those around her making them feel happy as well. Well, at least those people with empathy. Once her rambling ceased, however, embarassment set it as she now wondered what Noel would think of her after the way she pounced him without warning or permission.

"Later on, when it became clear that dragons weren't interested in human affairs even a tiny bit, the Magical Council, whose primary purpose was so stop the apocalypse that would have happened if the magical beasts attacked the society, still didn't disband. Instead, the Council began its work under the Fiore's Government and became a statutory authority for everything related to magic. Since then, the Council had..." the boy continued to read, when he was suddenly abruptly interrupted. Had he not been so focused on the book before him that he was reading, he would have probably noticed the excited girl running in his direction and practically jumped on top of him, knocking his book out of his hands so that it skidded across the floor and stopped several meters to his side, remaining half-opened and lying down.

There was no words that would be able to properly describe the boy's shock and confusion, when he was suddenly pounced by the fifteen year old girl. His eyes widening as he let out a loud gasp, the boy could feel the breath being pushed out of his body due to the weight that suddenly pressed down on him. For a few seconds, he found it hard to breathe, but then he somehow managed to catch his breath once again, though that didn't make the shock disappear at all. It took him a moment or two to even realize what had happened, and when he finally did, looking up towards the figure that was now on top of him, he finally recognized the face of the excited girl that was looming over him. She had practically straddled him, pinning him down to the ground so that he was unable to move even an inch, and he was feeling a little bit uncomfortable like that, not to mention that he was very much embarrassed, especially because there was a number of people stopping by as they passed down the path, looking and pointing at the two of them, as if they were some kind of attraction.

And then, the shower of words began. The girl was speaking so fast that Noel could hardly comprehend everything that she was saying, and it wasn't more than once that a blush crossed his face because of the things she said, or maybe it was also because of the position they were in. Either way, he didn't exactly know for how long she had talked like that, but he was definitely sure that it was more than just once when he wished he would be able to bury himself into the ground and disappear. Finally, Katherine stopped talking, and it was then that she remembered it would be nice to finally get off him. Which was a lucky thing, because Noel didn't want her to feel anything unnecessary after she had surprised him like that. "I.. um.. H-Hi, Katherine.. I-It's really n-nice to meet you.." he managed to stutter as he slowly got on his feet, looking down and dusting himself off, even though that was more of an excuse than anything because he was too afraid to look at her at that moment, already embarrassed enough by everything that had happened. Just what were all the other people going to think about them..?

His eyes stopping on her blue Fairy Tail tattoo, he finally managed to find enough courage to look up into her eyes. He could feel his cheeks burning, the result of the rather embarrassed situation he had been in just a few moments ago, but there wasn't anything he could do about it. "Yeah, I know you're from Fairy Tail, too.." he said shyly, glancing down for a second, before remembering it probably wasn't too polite to look at the floor while talking to someone, so he looked up at her once again. "I saw you at the guild house a couple of times.." he admitted. An awkward silence fell between the two for a few moments, Noel not knowing how to respond to all the questions she had asked him earlier. "Erm.. do you want to take a w-walk with me, maybe..? T-Then I can answer all the questions you might have," he said sheepishly, crouching down only to pick up his book, which he put into one of his pockets before looking at Katherine once again, awaiting her response.

The Tracer of Blue Pegasus
"Most everyone in the Harmon family who practices this magic," he continued to read, "has their middle name replaced with one that designates their magic. An example would be if one was a master of the Neptune's Grip Magic; their middle name would be 'Neptune'."

"So then mine would be Simmons 'Tracer' Harmon..."

It was an interesting thought, but he quickly shook it off and went back to reading; Simmons was eager to learn just what secrets and information the book held. He skipped several paragraphs and pages, since they delt mostly with the Harmon family history. He had already learned a bit of the history of his family, but he didn't care much for it. He was eager to get to the section on the mechanics behind each magic. He finally stopped at the end of the introduction chapter, reading the last paragraph slowly.

"Now that all of that is out of the way, we will move on to the different Dimensional magics that exist so far. We will cover everything that is currently known, from Neptune's Grip, to Flash Phenomenon, to Heaven's Feel, and etc. Each and every type is a powerful force in and of itself, but they all demand specific levels of mental, physical, and/or emotional training to effectively master them; and for all the power they hold, none of them are unstoppable as long as long as their user is human...."

"Oh, my God! He's you! I mean, you're him! Noel Aramis! I can't believe I'm finally talking to you! I seen you in Wizard Weekly!"

"Huh?"

With his attention grabbed by the sudden commotion from off to his side, Simmons looked up from his reading daze and glanced over at the scene. At first, it looked like an increadibly akward and inappropriate display of affection, which caught the redhead's FULL attention. Not long after, he remembered what the girl was freaking out about, and took a good look at the young man underneath her hips. Sure enough, his face was a familiar one; it was the mage who he once saw on the cover of the Wizard Weekly. Though the magazine didn't interest him that much, he knew that some of the most popular mages were featured in it. Apparently, this mage was part of Fairy Tail, and his name was Noel Aramis.

"Interesting name," Simmons thought, continuing to watch the spectacle unfold. As he did when he first saw Noel's face on the cover of the magazine, the redheaded man couldn't help but feel a certain familiarity while looking at the famous mage.

It was partly amusing, as if some random, hyperactive fangirl had found and tackled her most adored idol. For a moment, Simmons was about to pity the young man's position; he had heard of such problems with obsessive for other celebrities, and there didn't seem to be many fan-girls who had a good head on their shoulders. Suprisingly though, the girl quickly jumped off of the young man and began apologizing profusely. As they began to speak with one another, Simmons became conflicted in what he wanted to do.

On one hand, he had finally found the time to read his book in depth, and he had gotten so far with it as well; he was almost drooling with anticipation at what information he would find. Then again, a world famous mage was standing right on the other side of the park; this would be a good chance to become well known with one of the more popular members of the mage community. But did he really want that? Sure, he wanted to become a powerful and well known mage...but did he really have the potential to even be noticed by someone so well known? Not to mention, the guy was young, around 15 or 16 by Simmons' guess! Noel was 4 to five years his junior, and already a powerful mage....

There was that twinge of jealousy again....

"Well," he thought, closing up his book and placing it in the single-strap backpack he had at his side, "There's no reason not to meet him...might be kind of enlightening..."

Standing up, Simmons casually walked over, slinging the backpack strap over one shoulder as he did. He slowed down once he got close, realizing that the two were talking to one another. Not wanting to be rude, he held a hand up in front to try and catch their attention.

"Uhhh....excuse me," he said with a bit of a curious tone, "I don't mean to interrupt, but...you're Noel Aramis, correct?"

"I.. um.. H-Hi, Katherine.. I-It's really n-nice to meet you.." Noel had managed to stutter as he slowly got on his feet, looking down and dusting himself off, even though that was probably more of an excuse than anything because he was too afraid to look at her at that moment, and Katherine couldn't blame him. She was quite embarrassed herself by everything that had happened; despite the fact that she started it to begin with. She just couldn't help herself, the girl had gotten excited when she realized she was finally seeing Noel off duty and without his Team Mates by his side. But after realizing the mass amount of attention her thoughtless antics had caused, her face could only turn pink as her own eyes also found their way to the ground. Maybe she shouldn't have jumped him like that. Maybe she was acting without thinking again; her Dad always warned her about stuff like that. She continued to rub her arm as she averted her gaze anywhere other than his face. "It's nice to meet you, too. I um, I hope I didn't hurt you... you know... when I tackled you like that..." Her voice was softer now, almost as if she was afraid of attracting even more attention. At least things were starting to calm down now that the excitement had passed. The passerbys continued about their daily routine, and those that had stopped the watch the event went about their own business as well. It was almost as though it had never happened; almost.

In the eyes of Kitty and Noel this would most likely be an experience neither would forget for a long time. As long as no one in the Guild found out about this, however, things would blow over without a hitch. It'd be like it never happened, right? She hoped so, anyway. If word of this ever spread around Fairy Tail they'd never hear the end of it; and if word got to Renji, her jealous boyfriend, she'd never hear the end of it! Oh, God, she hoped no one from Fairy Tail was in the area at the time of her attack! The humiliation, the utter embarassment if this were to reach the other Guild Members. Knowing the way Fairy Tail Mages were, they'd make a riot out of it and tease these two young Mages for the rest of their lives; or, in the very least, until they died of embarassment. Noel pointed out that he already knew she was from Fairy Tail too; and she felt stupid for even bringing it up as her Tattoo made her Alignment quite obvious. "Erm.. do you want to take a w-walk with me, maybe..? T-Then I can answer all the questions you might have." he had then said in a sheepish tone as he crouched down in order to pick up his book, which he had soon after put into one of his pockets before looking at Katherine once again, as he awaited her response to his offer; which was an offer she couldn't possibly refuse. 'A walk? With Noel Aramis? The Strongest Mage in Fairy Tail!?' Her eyes lit up as her heart pounded painfully hard in her chest. Her hands were linked together beneathe her chin, her mouth gaping open with a very estatic smile. 'If this is a dream, please don't wake me up!'

"Yes! I mean, yes. O-of course. I'd love to go for a walk with you!" Her excitement was beginning to show once more, only this time she put some effort into keeping it under control. She reached up with one hand in order to brush a strand of hair from her eyes as she smiled up toward the male who, now that she was up close and personal, she noticed stood at least 4 inches taller than herself. She also noticed that he w as fairly attractive, and on this she blushed once again. A part of her couldn't help but wonder if he thought she was pretty; but she quickly shook this off as her head moved from side to side a couple times. Offering him her hand, the young girl smiled deciding to do things proper. "Let's start over. My name's Katherine Keller. I'm an Exquip Mage who only joined Fairy Tail a few weeks..." She was interupted as a male voice spoke over top of her right at the point that she had mentioned her own Magic. Her own words trailed off into the background as an unfamiliar voice said, "Uhhh....excuse me," causing the girl to end her sentance with a quiet, ...ago." as she spun around to look up at the redhead that had presently approached them. He was much taller than both of them, and possibly 4 or 5 years their Senior as well. He wasn't familiar to Kitty, so she assumed he wasn't a Fairy Tail Mage; perhaps he was from another Guild? Her eyes scanned him over for any sign of the whereabouts of his Guild Tattoo as he continued to speak in a curious sounding tone. "I don't mean to interrupt, but...you're Noel Aramis, correct?"

So, even he had heard of Noel, huh? She wasn't too surprised, seeing as he was shown in Wizard Weekly more than once. But what did you expect of a Mage as powerful as that of Noel? That reminded her, the biggest question she wanted answered was in inquiery into his true power. Was he really as strong as they say? Was it even possible to reach that level of power? She had so much she was dying to talk to him about, but as they had unexpected company it'd be rude to ignore him for her own silly desire to take advantage of her time spent with the Mind Aether Mage. Instead, she offered Simmons a friendly smile as she peered up at the much taller male that loomed over her. "Yes, he's Noel. And I'm Katherine. Feel free to call me Kitty, if you like. Dad always called me his sweet little Kitty, and the nickname kind of stuck." She giggled, blushing slightly. "And who are you?"

For a few moments, after he had invited the girl to walk with him through the park, Noel remained quiet, staring at her in expectation of an answer. His heart was thumping hard against his chest as he waited for her to say something, wondering why she was just standing there and looking back at him without saying anything at all. It was as if his question had frozen her in place momentarily, making her unable to speak at all. The boy didn't really know how to react to something like that. Even though it had happened a couple of times that he was attacked by fangirls on the streets as he made his way from his apartment to the guild, or when he went to the train station to go on a mission, this was the first time for Noel to find himself in a situation like this. The awkwardness of it was making him kind of embarrassed, and he could almost feel the heat rushing into his cheeks as he stepped from one foot to another, not sure what to do because it seemed like eternity since he had asked her the question. The worst thing was that he couldn't even avert his gaze down to the floor or somewhere else just to ease his embarrassment, since it might be a bit rude in this case because he was speaking to her.

Then, her eyes suddenly lit up, and her mouth turned into a smile, making Noel's still fast-humping heart made a small looping inside his chest. As she spoke, the boy couldn't help but notice the excitement within her voice, something that she was trying not to show out so outright after the first outburst, when she had jumped on top of him while he was reading a book earlier. Still, the young Mind mage could very much sense the strength of the emotion she was trying to conceal, and while he was still somewhat surprised that there was someone who was so excited just to talk to him, he couldn't help but feel a little flattered as well. Not to mention that the girl, who had earlier introduced herself as Katherine, appeared to be really friendly and nice, and she had even apologized for having tackled him like that earlier, though Noel didn't feel that was needed at all, as he had never blamed her for it in the first place. Even though he could have easily guessed her answer to his question, Noel was still a little taken aback when she replied, and he said quickly: "R-Really..? That would be really nice.." Bringing his hand up, he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment, wondering just how stupid he must have looked asking a question like that.

But the truth was, he would have probably had a much easier time replying, or at least feeling a little less embarrassed, if it hadn't been for Katherine's stunning beauty. Her long chocolate brown hair were glistening in the light of the morning sun, much like her incredibly blue eyes, that were looking back at him so lively, full of excitement and joy. These two things, not even counting her slender, attractive built and a neatly chosen outfit, were already enough to turn the young Fairy Tail mage speechless, gulping nervously as another blush crossed his face when he realized they were still standing rather close to each other. Finally, her words had pulled him out of his momentary teenage-boy day-dreaming, as she introduced herself once again, and was just about to explain when she had joined the guild, but never got to it as they got interrupted once again. Hearing a deep male voice, Noel looked sideways questioningly in the direction from which the sound was coming, his eyes stopping on an older boy, a young man who had stopped near the two of them. His question had taken him aback a little; sure he was slowly getting used to people recognizing him as he went through the town, and it had already happened a couple of times that he heard people speaking about him as he passed by, but..

Opening his mouth, he was already about to reply, when Katherine jumped in, confirming that he was indeed Noel that the young man had in mind, and taking the chance to introduce herself as well, even finding the right opportunity to mention a cute nickname in the process, which brought a small smile on Noel's face, as he chuckled. "Kitty.. That's a really cute nickname," he mentioned, before he remembered that the other boy was still there and looking at the two of them, or mostly at him, and he gave a nod to affirm his assumption as well. "Yeah, that would be me.." he nodded, feeling a little more uncomfortable around Katherine and this new guy as well after he had chucked at the nickname earlier. Glancing up at him, he asked: "Um.. may I ask why? Is there something I can help you with?" His words were polite, like he always was towards the people he had just met, though there was also something else.. Frowning a little bit, he looked at the young man more closely, and then said: "You look oddly familiar, mister... Do I know you..?" True enough, it seemed to him as if he had met the guy somewhere before, in a far away place at a far away time. Just what could that feeling be?

"Yes, he's Noel."

"Oh?"
Simmons looked down at the young woman as he replied, noticing that she seemed to be around Noel's age. It was the first time he paid any attention to her, causing him to mentally kick himself for not paying attention. Thankfully, she didn't seem to notice it as she continued.

"And I'm Katherine. Feel free to call me Kitty, if you like. Dad always called me his sweet little Kitty, and the nickname kind of stuck." She giggled, blushing slightly. "And who are you?"

Simmons studied her for less than a second, giving her a subtle once over. She was much shorter than him, probably due to their age difference as well as his natural, tall build. Still, even if she was that much shorter and younger, he could feel a sense of experience and skill radiate from her, even in her cheery state. Despite her demeanor, she was an individual who could take care of herself when things became serious. Noticing her hair, eyes and the rest of her features, the Tracer mage couldn't help but realize how cute she looked; untill the little voice in the back of his head reminded him of thier potential age difference, and the thought quickly left his mind.

He was flattered by her offer to call her by her nickname, but he would refer to her as Kathrine for now. It was something he was acustomed too; it felt wrong for the redhead to refer to people he just met so informally, especially when it was a name like Kitty.

"Nice to meet you Katherine," he replied with a respectful smile, holding out his hand to shake hers, "I'm Simmons. Simmons Harmon. Sim for short, if you like."

Looking back at Noel, he displayed a sheepish grin. In truth, Simmons didn't think it through when he decided to come over and speak to the Fairy Tail Mage; all he was thinking at the time was how interesting it would be to speak to a mage of such fame and talent (though, he hadn't even known what kind of talent Noel had either). Now he was clawing at the back of his mind, trying to think of something to give the redhead an excuse to come and talk to him. Thankfully, though, the young man started the conversation off himself.

"You look oddly familiar, mister... Do I know you..?"

The question caught Simmons off guard, causing the redhead to look at Noel with a curious expression. It wasn't that the question itself was odd, but the fact that the Tracer felt the exact same way. At first he thought it was just the familiarity he felt from seeing his face on the cover of the Wizard Weekly magazine, but as he thought about it, he believed he felt the same way even after seeing it for the first time. It was as if they had meet one another before; no, it was as if they had known one another from a long time ago. For a moment, he thought that he had once worked for the mage...

But that was impossible; he was 5 older than Noel, and couldn't have possibly worked for him. Also, Simmons never made any real connections with people in the 8 years he had been traveling. Sure, he made friends and aquaintences over the years, and he would probably recognize those people for the short time he had met them; he had just never made any real connections with anybody, since he always moved from place to place. The feeling was uncanny, yet nice at the same time. Still, he was SURE that they had never met before...

"You know, I actually felt the same way when I first saw you on that magazine a few weeks ago..." he replied curiously, placing a hand on his chin as he studied the young man, "But I don't recall a time when we ever met, so its probably impossible. I bet I'd realize if someone I met had become famous..."

Scratching the back of his head with an embarrased smile, he continued, "And to tell you the truth, I really didn't think about anything to say or ask when I came over here. I just noticed that you were that famous guy from the magazine, and I guess I was interested in talking with you. I don't know, I really didn't think it through..."

I'm in love. <3
Katherine was smaller than both of them, but maybe that was because she was a girl? She didn't seem to mind the size, age or gender difference between herself and the two she now found herself in a discussion with. In fact, after the embarassment from earlier had passed, she seemed quite calm and passive. She was still excited being this close to Noel, but she was over the 'Oh my God' pouncing stage, which was probably a relief to the poor boy after being pounced unexpectantly by his female Guild Mate. After reintroducing herself, she awaited introductions from the new male, smiling with a slight hint of pink to her cheeks as she heard Noel say with a soft chuckle, "Kitty.. That's a really cute nickname." His statement caused her slight embarassment, but she also felt a bit of pride and acomplishment having a Mage as powerful and well known as Noel Aramis complimenting her like he had. "Thanks, Noel!" After showing her apreciation toward the Mind Mage, she turned her attention toward Simmons who had now introduced himself as well. "It's a pleasure meeting you as well, Simmons." She then gave the redhead a once over, casually searching for the location of his Guild tattoo. It's not as though his Guild mattered to her much, it was just she was very cautious of encountering Dark Mages after the incident with Soul several months ago. Not that Simmons looked like a bad person; but you can't be too careful, right?

It wasn't long until a few words were exchanged between the two males, the conversation excluding the female who now stood by quietly observing them as she awaited the opportunity to jump in on the conversation herself. She wasn't entirely paying attention to what the boys were saying to each other, however she did catch Noel saying something along the lines of, "You look oddly familiar, mister... Do I know you..?" To which Simmons had responded, "You know, I actually felt the same way when I first saw you on that magazine a few weeks ago..." Was it really so unheard of to look familiar to one another? Maybe they had met somewhere before and forgotten? It was intriguing, though, the idea that maybe they did know each other. Yet both begged to differ, so it's possibly nothing at all. Maybe a coincidence or something of that nature, but it wasn't that big of a deal, right? Simmons at this point was scratching the back of his head with an embarassed smile, as he continued, "And to tell you the truth, I really didn't think about anything to say or ask when I came over here. I just noticed that you were that famous guy from the magazine, and I guess I was interested in talking with you. I don't know, I really didn't think it through..."

"I didn't think it through either! I just saw him, and freaked out! But when I got here I had too much to say!" Katherine blurted after seeing an opening, at this point probably causing both males to focus on her which would result in her heart beating faster and her cheeks brightening in mild embarassment. Now tugging at the bottom of her tee shirt, and causing her necklace to pop into view as the heart shaped pendent slipping over the neckline of her shirt only to drop elegantly between her breasts as she swayed back and forth in a very adorable and chibi manner. "I just wanted to know, if you're really as powerful as the rumors say, Noel? If you are... will you.. umm... have a battle with me? I want to get stronger, and sparring with strong Mages is good training, right?" She sounded a mixture of timid and eager as she requested a Mage spar. Perhaps she wasn't 100% positive that it was a good idea? Or she doubted her own abilities compared to his? Maybe she was afraid to lose? Either way, it was too late now. The challenge was set.

All she could do now was await his reaction...
