Fairy Tail RPG Current News

Hey everyone! It's May and you know what that means? Yeah, me neither. There's not a whole lot in terms of major news right now, except for maybe some clarification on some forms of magic like usual. As for a new event? Right now, we're just having the April Event (Bosco Invasion part 3) taking place, which runs into the middle of May. But, one cool new thing that we're introducing this month is SS-Class items. Now you have something to grind and agonize over! Yay, isn't that just lovely? I think so. You can find more info on that in the Equipment and Item Creation section in the rules.

That's it for now, folks! If I get anything new to add to this you can guarantee that I will do so. In the words of the immortal douchebag rival, "Smell ya later." Keep on RPing everyone! Kill some Boscans!

Something definitely seemed wrong with the woman clenching tightly to him, she didn’t seem the invulnerable god woman that he’d been hunting down this entire time rather she seemed sad and thankful that he was okay. Wincing slightly when he heard a rustle of movement from the other bed, Kid turned with a diminutive grin, “Looks like you-” was all he managed to get out before a frying pan struck him full in the face before sliding down onto the bed.

“Wh…at…did…I….do?” he managed to say before he toppled head first over the side of the bed. Jeb was the first face that he saw and the old man had a foreign expression as he watched Kid with a thoughtful look in his eyes; since meeting him, Kid had certainly not seen the reflective side of the mad slashing grandpa.

Struggling to peek back over the edge of his bed, fearing that another frying pan would be sent flying at him, the now red faced ninja managed to catch the tail end of the heartfelt reunion between the blondie and the headless woman. After what seemed a long time of just staring into each other’s eyes the woman stood up and walked out the door leaving only a forlorn wave for him, Kid, to make sense out of what happened. People here really were acting strange; even Tsuki-hag, the name he’d come up for the old woman, was looking drearily towards the floor as if some terrible event was taking place. Picking his nose with a well utilized finger the boy stared blankly from face to face though he knew enough to allow them to have their moments of silence. After what he deemed to be suitable enough time for them to finish crying their respectable rivers he asked the question that mattered most to him in that question, “Is there anything to eat? I haven’t eaten since yesterday” he asked bluntly.

Another flying frying pan to the head sent him twirling around on one foot before he returned to his place on the ground near his bedside; apparently he was the target in target practice, “You little bastard! I remember what you said yesterday…” Tsuki-hag ranted as she stomped around the bed to where Kid’s body twitched painfully while tapping out on the ground signaling his obeisance hoping it would be enough to placate the woman’s vengeful wrath. Surprising he found himself scooped up into her reedy arms which held on to him with a startling amount of strength before she cried into the white washed clothing that he had worn in lew of his regular threads, “You’re such a reckless moron…of course you can have anything you want” she said muffled into his the scruff of his neck.

Really, just what had happened to these people?

The weight of the situation had escaped him and his mind dared not wonder about what had happened the night before. Evening came to the house and somber quietness remained the ruling mood though a few outbursts from Kid resulted in several rounded projectiles being sent in his direction. Outside of that everyone seemed lost in their own thoughts and mumbling about going to the something tomorrow; Kid wasn’t going anywhere, he was getting the hell out of this crazy place!

Night came and went leaving Alfeo reluctant to look anyone in the eye, Tsuki and Jeb were equally distressed about the coming funeral, but he felt personally responsible for what had happened to Elaida’s husband. Part of him even felt a disgusted sense of gratification now that the headless woman was widowed; it repulsed every time he let his mind wander to that particular subject. There were a few bright spots in the night though because the insane little boy seemed extremely adept at making grim situations light hearted in measured intervals, which was nice since no one had the heart to be happy with such bad times ahead. Dinner was eaten and Jeb set to washing the dishes without a fuss, a testament to just how down everyone was. Alfeo drifted off to his bed quietly since he hadn’t really spoken directly to either of the house owners about what he’d do after the funeral or how he was feeling about the entire ordeal. Still garbed in the soft feathery pajamas that he’d been dressed in, while he was unconscious, Alfeo slipped into the bed with a sigh just as Tsuki pulled herself away from the brightening presence of the blue haired boy and her husband.

Sitting at the edge of her bed she looked young and spry again, her gray hair seemed a symbol of her wisdom rather than the signs of age pulling her towards the grave; a subject Alfeo had dwelt upon tool long this night, “It’s not your fault y’know” she offered gingerly though her hard eyes looked as if they were about to shatter into a million fragments with the sadness behind them.

It was hard to believe that Mister Fuu Chin was so well loved in this town. Alfeo hadn’t seen anyone else outside of Elaida, but from the slight whisperings between Jeb and Tsuku, the entire town would be in attendance of the town glutton’s funeral. His own blue eyes wavered as stinging tears pushed their way forward, but he brushed them away with the back of his palm as Tsuki looked towards the kitchen where Jeb and the wild child still remained.

“Tsuki-baa-chan, I don’t wanna talk about this…besides it doesn’t matter to me. I’m just some outsider anyway. I’ll be gone soon after the funeral so that hopefully no more hurt comes to you or anyone else” he said brusquely while fingering a stray thread from the edge of his cover. He hadn’t meant for the words to come out so sternly, but there it was, his feelings placed on the table for her to see. She would just have to accept that she was not his mother and it was just as well because his real mother probably hated him to the point where she’d have him killed for a crime he committed.

For a long time those diamond hard eyes glittered with sagely knowledge and Alfeo was afraid that she’d say something that actually was sensible to him, but she did him a favor and simply nodded affirmatively before patting his leg. Just like that, she left and soon all the lights went off allowing the house to quiet down from the excitement of the day and prepare for that of tomorrow. Laying back in his bed he stared reflectively at the ceiling before whispering a small prayer for Fuu Chin’s soul, “I’m sorry that you had to meet me and die…I didn’t know that was going to happen…even though…I’m sorry” he said softly into the darkness.

With that he turned over in the bed and threw the covers of himself before drifting off to a fitful night of sleep.

The next day came with Kid snoring enthusiastically before a morose Jeb shook him awake, “C’mon boy, we got us a fun-ur-all to go to” the man said gruffly before gliding away to make more preparations.

Rubbing sleep from his eye, the baffled boy gawked as he watched Tsuki-hag gathering various items in a tinsel bag and garnering loads of attention in her puffy black dress. It dawned on him that this might be the reason that so much of the evening was spent in grim silence yesterday. Even so, he had no connection to the fat man who died and he certainly didn’t intend on paying his respects to some jerk that out-ate him in a contest he clearly should have won. Running his hand with a mixture of annoyance and frustration the boy hopped out of bed making a face as the searing throbbing of his ribs plagued him as a reminder that he was still injured. The weary old woman in her fancy clothes flew past him with a smell of marigold which made Kid sneeze obnoxiously leaving him with a hand full of…well full of something unpleasant, “Stupid hag…” he grumbled before wiping his hands at the foot of his still messy bed sheets.

Half expecting a frying pan in his direction he hesitated from turning back around, but Tsuki simply slipped by him, her brow arched with worry as she went about the house looking for various things that they would need for the eulogy. Suddenly she eyeballed him up and down with those frightening gray pupils and fell into fit of “tsk’s” before snatching his clothes from some unseen corner of the house. Spending little time to throw them at the befuddled “star”, the old woman snapped sharply while Jeb made every effort to avoid her, “If you don’t get those clothes on right now so help…you’re an outsider, but Elaida wants you to be at the funeral, both of you” she finished with equally irritated stare that fell upon the blond haired boy as he sat quietly in a chair already dressed.

Grumbling about how this wasn’t his business in the first place and that people should leave the dead alone on account of them already being dead, he slipped into the clothes with as much graces as an elephant could have managed walking over a stack of needles. Finally when all seemed ready the party of four stared at each other with lingering gazes though Kid’s was more of a hostile glare as opposed to the solemn acknowledgments that everyone else passed around; he had no reason to feel bad, he didn’t kill anyone…yet.

“We’ll meet Elaida in front of the cemetery” Tsuki said before heading out of the door into the beaming sunlight. Kid’s mouth twisted nefariously in a dark grin; this was his chance to take out the god women, when she was at her lowest.

Guarded with this plan of action the boy half skipped out the door after the blond haired kid slipped outside. Today was going to be the burial of one man and the resurrection of another as the man who was going to surpass even God. Sooner rather than later, everyone would bow the Great Lord Kid Hoshi and those that didn’t would simply be faced with his fists; that was his justice.

Alfeo moved sullenly amongst the band of well wishers in the clothes that he generally wore under any circumstances; their colors fit the occasion and he relented from wearing anything that wasn’t his. The procession had been immaculate with the Lady Elaida leading the charge; she looked so stunning in that laced black dress even with the interesting shaped helmet setting atop her shoulders. Lines below his eyes made him appear tired, but in truth he simply did not feel that he had any right to be at this event though many people were kind enough to offer their condolences in light of the recent discoveries of the Globblers and Throm. None of it sat right with him.

After the eulogy had been given; it had been etched into the carving of the stone with Elaida’s abilities and it was very heartfelt to the point where not a dry eye remained in the crowd, the woman was impressive with her command of language. Elaida met with Alfeo though she searched for the blue haired boy with the same fervency which meant that what she had to say was not personal, still Alfeo felt that his mood was inexcusable and he should say something, “Elaida…I’m”

Before he could finish she was cajoling him in an embrace with her body trembling with unseen sobbing that silenced anyone that caught the seen, it was a personal moment and the other townspeople were courteous enough to leave the two alone. Rigidly standing the boy had no idea what to do except return the tremulous hung as fiercely as he could though other emotions bubbled to the surface as his mind raced a thousand miles per minute. Never would he share what he thought of her. It was for the best given that she was his elder and no such thing would be looked up in a friendly light, but his heart ached as he wished the woman goodbye with a heavy heart. As if sensing his emotions and thoughts that eyeless stare fell upon him and crimson painted his cheeks before he had a chance to check himself, “Um..uh…I’ll go find that knucklehead” he stammered though she reached out for him as he made his hasty retreat.

Once away from the woman’s grasp he wished he could have basked in it much longer. Guilt swelled behind those stilled chiseled features as he moved towards the small speck of blue that he saw through the swaying groups of people, most of them had their attention upon Tsuki and Jeb by now. Reluctant festivities were supposed to the final passing of the dead and the town’s rejoicing that one of their numbers had gone on to a more peaceful existence. When he tired to question the old woman about their belief she sternly bade him not to interrogate something that could not be explained, that had been the end to that discussion. Sourly he slipped past well dressed men and their families with curt nods on top of weak smiles hoping to gain passage to the young blue haired boy with the tattoo on his shoulder, “She should want nothing to do with us…then again, they do have her head. I can’t imagine what if feels like to feel incomplete like that” he thought to himself as he jostled by another family.

Waving his apologies he pressed onward in his distracted prowl to reach the boy whose name he hadn’t even had the chance to ask yet and in some ways he felt that once he knew the boy everything else would fall into place for him. That was always like him, always relying upon others to determine what path he would walk. Nihilistic musings pulling at his already frayed nerves Alfeo suffered many unwanted conversations and even a few minor introductions to get to the boy; he felt so out of place.

Kid had watched with folded arms and half open eyes as the people sadly trounced about waving their goodbyes while scrubbing stupid tears out of the their stupid country corn faces. He’d even endured a few oblivious men and women coming up to him with somber faces asking how well he knew Fuu Chin when they’d seen the pair nearly coming to blows on a couple of days earlier in the town square. At least the grass was greener than usual which meshed well with the considerate breeze that cooled the entire place down; he’d have been in a much worse mood if it’d been hot as balls out here on top of having obnoxious fakers crowding around him.

Bandages made him stick out in the crowd which meant that it was easy to find him, but word quickly spread about the “grieving” blue haired boy who wouldn’t put up with anyone’s BS. In truth he’d only come to the funeral because there was an opportunity that awaited him there, one that he wouldn’t miss whether someone from his own family had died or even someone nearly as big as him had died. The eulogy had been boring so much so that after a few scrawled words into the rosetta stone above the grave the boy had dozed off on his feet…much to the disliking of those standing near him. In his waking state he’d even caught an angry glare from the old hag, but her husband was nowhere to be found. A cold shiver ran down his spine of the coot was actually hunting him while he stood here with his guard down, the image of that nasty curved saber had branded themselves into the boy’s mind.

Soon he relaxed and found himself watching the graceful movements of the god woman as she emotionally grabbed onto the blond haired boy who returned the gesture with one of equal emotionality. The eulogy done, this was his best chance to catch her off guard; his grin was feral as he moved with an air that seemed one the brink of violence with each step, the ninja blade hilt became even more prominent as his hand kept falling on it every few steps. It was when the blond haired boy started coming towards him that he faded into the crowd and quickly circled around flanking the woman that he made his agenda known. Classic big man style…

“Oi!Oi!Oi!Oi! I don’t give a damn if yer sad or not! This is your chance at redemption Kami-sama!” he called out arrogantly to Elaida which startled the woman for she jumped visibly at the cutting sound of his voice, much to his delight, “…now then…I was kind enough to let the ceremony end, but now it’s time for that rematch we’ve had coming for a long time” he said as his steps kept him a few paces away from her.

Of course she said nothing, but her own movements became dangerous forcing the people back as if they knew something of what happened when she got serious. Still, it worked and now the stage had been set in this small time town for the biggest star that ever lived: he’d win and live on as an immortal undefeatable hero in the eyes of everyone once all was said and done. His thumbs down sign both challenged Elaida, but also heckled the townspeople if there angry murmurs were any indication to how they were feeling about this unfolding. More than a few wanted to interfere, but he was willing to bet that they didn’t want to be around the woman while her dangerous powers were unleashed. “C’mon! I’m going to destroy you…then throw you into the wind” he laughed at the serious intone with which the face had set in.

No one would stop him, not even him.

Alfeo gawked when from way back on the other side of the crowd he’d suffered through to knife through, he heard that cracking noise of the annoying boy spouting some things that he could never imagine saying what he heard to anyone to anyone especially not Elaida. Shoving his way through the mass of humanity he came to the small opening that sheltering both the black clad woman and the dangerously grinning ninja as a sinking feeling hit his stomach. This had been his plan all along, “What are you doing? You’re acting like an idiot” he hissed at the boy before turning to Elaida with an apologetic smile.

What he got in return was a bit surprising. Rather than simply walking away the sleek form put a hand in his face as if she meant for him to stay out of this…this farce, just what did she have planned, “B-but!” he started and the violent twitch of her wrist was enough to tell him to shut up as he watched with eyes that belonged to a small child at a horror show.

Tension charged the air as the two stared off at one another when darkness spewed from the woman’s feet and into the surrounding area sending the crowd a few steps back including Alfeo; he’d seen what her magic or whatever it was could do. Though power seemed to radiate off her in morbid hues of light, the woman herself had not moved except that she’d raised her arm in the direction of a nearby tree. Immediately words burned themselves into the wood angrily as her will became reality against the rough, barky surface, You oppose at every turn, what is it you want?! she scribbled furiously without appearing to even be doing anything.

Alfeo was worried. He didn’t worry so much about the foolish boy, but he’d never seen the woman express any kind of emotion until now and considering her powers that was not a good thing for anyone. Given the circumstance the trembling that marked her anger was duly justified though much of it had to have come from the sudden shock of losing her husband as well as finding out that her head, a treasured thing from the way she spoke of it, was in the clutches of her enemies.

“You wish to fight? Fine! So be it, but then you will do what I say for the next two months, understand me well boy! the words ended there, but the foreboding sense of doom clung to the air long after the scratching had ended.

Alfeo was incredulous and his face looked dumb without a doubt: how could that blue haired kid really believe that he could take down the most powerful being in this town? Especially with those injuries, but any attempt at rebuking the hard headed boy was stymied once a steel like grip clenched his shoulders and a familiar presence behind him kept him stilled, “She needs it and he’s willing to give it to her. None of us are that foolish boy so maybe this is just what Elaida needs right now, don’t take it away from her” Jeb whispered into Alfeo’s ear before patting him thrice on the shoulder and melting back into the crowd.

HE was giving Elaida what she needed? Could Alfeo really accept that?

There was no doubt he had to, but he bit his lower lip trying to stave off the self hating fury that drew thick cables of veins bulging at his temples as he kept his mouth clamped to watch the two square off in mortal combat. It had been coming, of that he’d had no doubts, but that didn’t mean that he could simply observe and do nothing about it. With a sniff he wheeled around and stormed off to where he’d first been watching the eating contest against a railing, a little bit away from the patch of green that served as the cemetery off to the side of the town.

Into the darkness.

Into the writhing shadows and the unknown power of the gods in the palm of one woman’s hands, but he feared nothing. As weight seemed to build around him in the very air itself he pushed onward with weakened steps though determination willed him to his goal; it was only his fear that holding him back. Kid’s trump card remained undisturbed as his feeble feet trampled the tainted grass beneath him though his eyes never left his goal even when the tendril of blackness would reach up towards him longingly before returning to the earth. Confidently smiling the boy whose blue tassels had marked him more than anything else slid to a stop as the god woman’s arm moved with inhuman speed to grip his right arm before he could manage to move out of the way. Still smiling, there was brief moment of surprise as Elaida realized that his other hand did not go to the ninja blade slung at his hip instead it went into his pocket.

“I told you, I’m the biggest star that ever lived, the name’s Kid Hoshi, remember that yo!” he defiantly declared as something slipped out from the hidden depths of his pants and flickered in the swirling wind, “…I also never said I’d play fair shishishi!”

Time stood still as Elaida viewed the picture with embarrassed shock as the wolf whistles quickly told hold though it was mostly the men. Amongst Fuu Chin’s belongings that night had been a “special” picture that the woman had given her husband as a keepsake, but thanks to the ninja’s sticky fingers now was on display to the public. Clearly taken aback at the incredibly pronounced features on display the woman let her guard down and the dagger toothed smile of the assassin gleamed all too dangerously, “Don’t expect pity!” he shouted as he wild punch softly landed and without his magic he didn’t really have any effect, but it had been an excellent try.

The townspeople were actually now drawn into the battle as the boy had displayed an uncanny ability to strike when it appeared that he didn’t have a chance. At least they’d been drawn in enough to see where the first blow of the battle had landed.

Still stuck in mid form, Kid blinked with a goofy grin on his face as his cheeks turned rouge and now the wolf whistles became envious grumblings amongst one another while the wives of the men grumbling shot them mean glances meant to quickly quiet them. His bandaged arm had mischievously buried itself in the soft cushion of one of man’s favorite portions of the female anatomy. Wriggling his fingers a little he couldn’t help giggling as it jiggled even as his hand pressed against it; apparently Elaida was stunned as well, but without a head one couldn’t make heads or tails of her silence. At least in the beginning…

A thunderous crack that saw black smashing into the boy’s face with breakneck speed sent the young pervert skidding into a tree with blood dripping from his nose for more than one reason; it couldn’t be said that he hadn’t tried at least. Twitching where he lay on the ground Kid’s mind only dwelt upon how soft and warm it had been rather than the fight he’d picked in front of the entire town. So much for being unstoppable…

Now the noises coming from the gathered crowd made Alfeo blink irritably in the mob’s direction, but he still remained near the fences with his arms stubbornly crossed while staring into the sky. He’d heard the decree from the raucous boy declaring himself the victor of the battle prematurely and some part of him wanted to believe that the tiny blue headed energizer bunny might actually pull it off.

“Why I am rooting for him? Why not Elaida? Why?” he asked himself many times despite the growing noise that suddenly included the hollowing munchkin. It was when the whistling noises came from the men that Alfeo became a bit more curious about the fight and as such casually strolled over where a heavily bearded man whistled his hardest at the sight, “What…” Alfeo gasped as he stared at the boy’s hand firmly clasped around the woman of his dreams’ left breast.

Another man to his right jostled him while jumping happily with a trickle of blood running from his nose and a clearly perverted grin on his face as he no doubt imagined a more amorous scene that the one in front of him. The wife watching her husband acting like a hormonal teenage boy muttered obscenities while shooting crippling glances in her spouse’s though none had the intended effect. Alfeo hadn’t realized that he’d been clenching his fists until he reared back and bellowed into the sky with two black gloved fists raised towards the sky, “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!”

Just like that the cheering stopped and everyone now stared timidly at the raging boy, but Alfeo didn’t care as the only person he saw at the moment as the bashfully grinning Kid, as he was apparently called. Steam wiggled from his ears in plumes of white as he stomped conspicuously to meet the pair on the small patch of green that marked the town’s recreation center. Elaida’s head tilted curiously allowing the momentary wave of anger she’d felt a second ago break in the wake of confusion as to what the red faced blond child was doing on the clearing with his eyes flashing maliciously in the direction of the loud mouthed boy. Reaching out to soothingly touch him Alfeo slapped her hand away before flying into the blue haired boy with no regard for the santicity of the funeral, in short effectively turning the somber event into somewhat of a farce.

People whispered to one another as the cloud of attacking youth seemed to grow bigger and Elaida just barely managed to avoid getting drawn in as Alfeo threw several spiteful punches at the star boy’s head. The only thing the jealous youth saw in his head was the over exaggerated image of Kid lovingly holding Elaida in his arms while fondling her with what was akin to happiness tickling her perceivable features. That was more than enough to ignite the anger that had been stewing since they’d left the house and came out to bury a man who had no business dying on a stranger’s behalf. At some point he realized that he was being more than disrespectful, but wounded pride saw him through one punch then another and another and before long his shoulders ached with the number of wild lashing strikes he’d thrown. Of course jostling around like that, he missed more than half his punches hitting things such as the ground often times air as well, but the release of tension was just as good as anything else.

If only he could put the disapproving stare that he was certain burned from Elaida’s headless body behind him, he’d probably have decided to forget the whole thing and move on. Well at least he would have thought about forgetting it; some things were just unforgivable no matter what context there were taken in.

Without warning Kid found himself entangled with that crazy blond haired kid in a frenzied clash of fits as the two rolled all over the lawn in which that person, he assumed the headless woman’s fat husband, had been buried. Grunting as first one blow then another buffeted him in the chin, Kid retaliated as best he could under the circumstances, but blood trickled from his nose after the first flew glancing blows that managed to slip through his thrown up arms. Snarling, kicking, growling, and clawing Kid would have pulled out his blade had he gotten the chance to stab the little bugger in the ribs were he deserved it, but the rampage continued until audible shouted became noticed from the watching audience. As quickly as it had started, the fight was over as the god woman came and easily pulled them apart like two children having a misunderstanding; he’d really have to kick her ass for treating him like a kid.

His cheeks throbbed something fierce and when he clenched it he heard something clicking that had not been before, more proof that the fight wasn’t over between that jerk and him, but when he stood up with a fire in his eyes he found that he couldn’t take even a step. Coiled around his feet where thick cables of darkness that bound his legs up until his thighs though he felt no pressure from the restraints at all. He hadn’t even noticed them until he had stood up to find that he couldn’t move, “Lemme the hell out. He started it in the first place!” he snapped at the god woman who stood serenely off to the side with the old hag shaking her head impatiently at the sight of the two boys.

Not much he could do except watch as the god woman glided over to where blondie remained just as bound as he was. She seemed to take a liking to the stupid pansy and maybe that was because girls were into soft, kind hearted stuff, but he never really understood anything when it came to girls; they always seemed too foreign and shallow to him. Now yanking fruitlessly at his legs into an attempt to break free he could see that the people no longer considered the show worth watching as many turned themselves and their children away as if there was something better in this hick town. Before she too turned and left, the old hag marched over to Kid and slapped him clean across the jaw making the world spin for several seconds before she grabbed hold of his head to make sure that he listened to what she had to say, “You oaf! I told you this wasn’t about you and you still went ahead and did something like this…I hope you’re ready to pay up on that debt” she huffed satisfactorily before strolling off after Jeb.

Wriggling again he watched as the woman waited until not a soul remained on the green patch of grass that glowed brightly amongst the dreary corn colored crops that grew near the edges of town with ease. Once the last person had disappeared she placed her hands on both of them and part of him shivered when he felt the large and foreign consciousness touché his own telling him, Since you technically both lost your fights already there will need for me to have any further promotions the omnipotent voice continued to drone though her movements held a considerable of confidence, Kid could almost smell the fear coming from her, “C’mon get it over with it…” he muttered, but she continued on as if she’d not heard.

I want you to go and investigate someone in Acacia for me came the request. For a moment Kid’s mind went blank and water dried in his mouth instantaneously making him even more uncomfortable.

(OOC: We should wrap this up dude)

The firm tug that threw him on his bottom in front of everyone couldn’t have been any one other than Elaida though shame made it impossible for the usually stoic potential mage to look at his bane of his existence. Not too far from he sat Kid, someone whom had fought alongside him just the previous night, their battle scars were a testament to just how intense the struggle had been. It’s not as Elaida was his wife or even for that matter old enough for him to consider his mate in anyway, yet he’d acted as irrationally as five year old child foolishly unwilling to share his toys. Working his mouth dryly he allowed the coolness of the grass beneath him to ease the tension out of him while his pale blue eyes avoided meeting that wonderful sublime figure that represented everything that he couldn’t have at this point in his life.

So when she gently laid a hand on his shoulder it was little wonder that he was surprised, but at the same time happy that at least for now she had time to talk to him. Of course what she suggested immediately made him clammy with sweat as he eyed Kid with something along the lines of regret, “Uh…I can’t” he said casting his gaze once more towards the ground as he felt the questioning emotion along with something else coming from the woman; could it have been pity?

That was the last thing he wanted so in a firm way he met her helmet based gaze with a mastiff tough glare, the light reflecting off his pupils beautifully in that light as he lips curled into a near sneer repeating the phrase, “I can’t do it” he reiterated now moving to rise to his feet, but he was firmly pressed into the ground.

He kept forgetting just how strong she was and when he looked up at her with a questioning arch of the brow he could see the tension in her neck telling him that she was in no mood to bandy words with him. In fact he was almost certain that it wasn’t just the nape of her neck that was telling him that, rolling waves of stout resolve were transferred into him and most likely Kid as well as she made her point once more, I gave him a choice because he gave me the opportunity, but this is not a debate, she said with her head inclined in Alfeo’s direction. He withered under such unbridled determination then again he had no idea what her head meant to her or at least he had no idea what a head meant to someone who was by all accounts a god.

Without my head I am no one, my memories, who I was before I appeared here. All of it. Gone. I need my head and whether that means I become mortal then so be it, but I cannot live this existence without having some clue as to who or what I am” she told them in a way that was more compelling than the words a human could say any day. There was so much longing there Alfeo blinked to realize that with her pain flowing into him like that he’d begun to tear up; she was so bent on…completing herself. He really didn’t have a choice, but to help her, that much he saw clearly whatever the guilt that he felt for having her husband murdered on his behalf.

“Heh…I guess I can’t really argue with that…you’re kind of scary when you get like that Miss Elaida” he said scratching an itch that wasn’t at the back of his neck and flashing a gallant smile in Kid’s direction. He could feel now that Elaida’s hand freed him to his own emotions once more; bravery. For some reason he now felt as if he was able to stand up at her side with her as his general and he, her private, a foot soldier that would face any enemy so that her goal could be achieved. Maybe…

Maybe when this was all said and done, he would finally have some sense of who Alfeo Depogos really was other than a name he just picked up.
