Alright, so Stella decided to stay in Magnolia even after the scare she had days ago...that didn't mean she was being stupid did it? As she walked main path that lead through the large Southgate Park Stella was too admiring the beauty of the nature around her to be thinking or even worrying about her problems. Not thinking, perhaps it was that very habit of hers that lead to the choice she made next. Spotting a path that turned off the one she was on and lead into the more densely wooded areas Stella rashly decided it would be nice to see what scenery laid ahead, she hadn't really gotten to be so close to nature growing up in Chrysantheum and it was nice to be so for a change. Never once did it even cross that rather innocent mind of hers that it would be dangerous for someone to walk that path alone, nor did it cross her mind that a woman would be even more at risk. Magnolia wasn't known for it's crime and the odds of her being attacked for something like that were incredibly low but that didn't mean that there wasn't someone waiting especially for her.

Her pace was slow and relaxed as she listened to the leaves crunch under her boots with every step she made. She closed her eyes as she walked through the gentle breeze that carried with it the refreshing scent of the nearby flora, it truly was rather relaxing. As her hair long blonde hair rustled in the breeze along with her skirt her hearing was taken over by the leaves that waved gently creating an almost oceanic sound. Hearing a few rustling sounds that she simply put down to animals of some description Stella kept her eyes closed as she strolled down the beaten track, as she started to wonder what kinds of animal it might be and numerous adorable images of cute little furry animals started to fill her mind she found herself thinking maybe she should take a look. After all if they were as cute as she was picturing them then she would be upset to miss the chance to see them, slowly fluttering her eyes open so they could become used to the light of the daytime once again Stella's heart almost flew out of her chest as a hand gripped her wrist tightly.

As her eyes flew open and she spun around to face whoever it was Stella swung her free hand around with as much force as she could muster in reflex to the assault, there was a chance that it was simply a misunderstanding but when in a crisis situation the body responds how it sees fit….. and in this case it was to spin around and slap the assailant rather harshly. As her amethyst eyes saw the face of whom it was they showed both signs of fear and anger, it was the man she had seen in the bar days ago. The man that had tried to buy her a drink, it was hard to think of the possibility of being stalked and tracked down by a strange man to be the better of the two possible meanings behind this attack but Stella found herself hoping that her suspicions of this man working for her father were not true. Furrowing her eyebrows in anger Stella’s tone followed suit, “I don’t care if you bought me a drink, you have no right to do this! Don’t touch me!” As she attempted to yank her arm from his rather astoundingly tight grip it served only to make him angrier, squeezing her wrist tighter the man spoke in return. “Talk about naïve little Stella, did you truly think that no one would find you? And what’s this I hear? You’re accepting drinks from strange men now are you? Hmph so your time away from home has turned you into a good for nothing hussy. How amusing.”

There it was, proof that the man before her was someone that her father had hired or ordered to hunt her down. As the anger soon gave way to the fear Stella found herself unable to even think of using her magic, due to the fact she had been raised without ever using it she didn’t find it in her instincts as of yet. “Go to hell!” Stomping on the man’s foot as hard as she could and biting the man’s hand that was threatening to practically snap her wrist Stella broke free and started to run down the track, she was fast but it seemed that this man was faster as he caught her almost as soon as she began to flee. Letting out a squeak of fright and frustration as she felt an arm wrap around her waist from behind Stella tried to pry it from her, it was a useless act but still her instincts found her doing so. Kicking her legs Stella couldn’t seem to find any spot within her reach that seemed to phase the giant, as another hand gripped under chin and the voice whispered in her ear she should have been screaming… and yet she found that even in this situation she was not much of a screamer. “Don’t make me snap your pretty little neck Stella, your far too pretty for me to want to dispose of so soon.” As he spoke her name and his breath blew into her ear Stella found herself becoming physically repulsed by the man, and the fact he knew he spoke her name just seemed to make it worse.

Kain had just got back from his last mission, walking into Magnolia, stretching his arms up into the air, his tail following suit on its own accord. One of his ears twitched with discomfort, causing him to rub it gently, well the half that was left of it at least. Of course…half of an ear was better than the stump he had weeks ago, and at least it had grown back enough to be useful for his hearing…even if the damn thing kept being uncomfortable or itchy as it regrew. Though…if having wolf ears and a tail was weird, having one that looked like it had been half eaten (not too far from the truth really) was weirder. Still, he ignored the stares he was getting, and continued his way into the town.

The sun was still high in the sky, and it was such a pleasant day, he had planned to head back to the Fairy Tail guild hall at first, but it seemed a shame to waste the perfect weather, so decided to detour via the park. As he made his way through the park, he saw several kids playing, and a few couples walking…not to mention a certain prudish woman sitting on a bench he’d encountered last time he was here. Giving her a look that somehow said ‘remember what I had last time that you don’t nyeh!’ he continued on his way, smiling slightly and blushing slightly at what happened last time he was in this park.

Before he could get too lost in that thought though, he heard a faint sound, it sounded like a pair fighting. …Actually, it sounded rather one sided…and rather serious. Working out the direction it was coming from, he took off the beaten path and into a forested area. All of the sudden the two started to run, and Kain joined them, trying to catch up. Hoping to catch up, and figuring he’d need to be ready to fight, he started to transform, quickly finishing, and began to take advantage of his increased speed. Unfortunately, his clothes had not agreed with the rapid transformation, only his pants remaining intact. “Tch…of all the times…” he thought to himself as he continued, leaves crackling under his now bare feet. While he didn’t mind fighting like this, the person he was trying to help might well freak out now. Still…better freak her, by the voice, out then fail to succeed in helping at all.

The pair he was following, a male and female came to a stop, the male threatening to snap the neck of the girl just as he arrived. The guy had heard him approached and turned around, “just who the hell are you meant to be?” It must have been a strange site, a nearly 2m tall man, wolf, thing…wearing only pants, with one his ears half missing. He had long blond furry wolf ears, very long, wild, spiky blond hair, claws, long canines, a long blond furry wolf tail with a white tip, with fur covering large sections of his body, including his hands, feet, legs, arms, and shoulders. “Just someone passing through that overheard you two, thought the lady could do with some help. Now, if you’d be kind enough to let her go…” The man just continued to stare at the strange dog-human. He didn’t let go of Stella, but for now, he was also rather distracted, his grip not particularly strong.

As the man spun around Stella was of course spun around as if she were riding some kind of shoddily constructed amusement park ride, those of course she was never very good on to begin with. As she focused her vision on the reason for the sudden change in direction Stella’s amethyst eyes widened in surprise, or was it shock? Either way it was something she had not expected to see standing before her well ever really, at least it seemed that whomever it was wasn’t with the man holding her as he asked point blank who or what they were. Staring at the were-wolf like figure before her Stella was surprised to hear him speak just like a human, was it wrong of her to have assumed that it wouldn’t have been able to do so? Sure the figure before her was pretty gosh damn terrifying and she wouldn’t want to be stuck alone with him in a dark alley but it was either him or the man trying to kill her right now…or worse. Feeling the grip of which was holding her slacken slightly Stella took the chance that she had been given and dug her nails into the man’s arm, “You little (censored word here)” Sure it was a pretty girly thing to do but it seemed to work as he recoiled in pain just enough to allow her to slip out from his arm and onto the ground below.

Slamming her fist into the man’s shoe that was next to her Stella tried to inflict as much pain as she could, she knew the types that her father had working for him and she knew that this guy would be tough and therefore she had to try and do what she could at least. Barely dodging the man’s swipe towards her hair Stella scrambled to her feet and oddly found herself running straight towards the wolf like creature, without stopping or thinking she found herself grabbing a hold of the arm of the creature. Giving it a small tug as she tried to get him to move with her Stella almost pleaded with her words for him to get away, “Run!, please.” There was something about this man and the fact that he was sent by her father that made Stella know deep down that he was nothing to be taken lightly and she didn’t want anyone or anything to be hurt trying to protect her, after all it was her choice to run away from her family and it was her choice to stay in Magnolia longer then she should have. She didn’t care if it was a wolf like creature or not there was no way she was just going to let them get hurt when it should rightfully have been her being hurt.

It seemed the captured woman would take efforts to escape on her own, even if the man wouldn’t listen to Kain. She certainly seemed to have some fight in her, which is why as she grabbed his arm he listened to her request to run and took it quite seriously, this other guy was probably a threat to not take lightly. Still, if she had been fast enough to outrun him, she would have done it already, and by fighting here they wouldn’t involve any of the citizens of Magnolia.

“Run? Not a chance, no one threatens anyone in Magnolia while Fairy Tail has anything to say about it!” With that the half-demon charged towards the man. To back up his words, his ebony Fairy Tail guild tattoo situated just above the base of his tail was probably rather obvious because of his shirt being destroyed. Kain’s ears were sitting upright, ready to react to the tiniest sound, his tail ready to move to help him to balance, his pupils slits, ready to strike with his claws when, fire!

The man after the girl didn’t seemed pleased in the slightest his mission had been made this much harder. As the wolf…thing, charged at him, with an ‘hmph’ sound, a wall of fire appeared in front of him. The half-demon stopped and jumped back just before he had struck the man, shaking his right arm, the blond fur on that arm shorter and frizzled, the ends black, the smell of burnt hair filling the air.

“Fire…it’s always fire!”
Kain exclaimed, drawing his great sword from his back and bringing it in front of him as he entered a fighting stance. While his claws would easily endure the fire…the rest of him wasn’t as fire proof, so it looked like he’d have to resort to his weapon and its reach to try and avoid getting burnt too much, which despite how lethal it might have looked, he really much rather fight without it.

The wall dispersing, with an unamused looked on his face, the man here to capture Stella produced a magic symbol, a large amount of fire then springing out of his outstretched hand. While it wouldn’t injury too much, it should still certainly leave quite a few nasty burns. Kain would have planned to dodge, but, he didn’t want to take the chance that the girl would get hurt instead, so he instead put his great sword on the side and brought it out in front of him, planning on just having to grin-and-bare it, hoping the flames wouldn’t damage too much.

As the wolf like man spoke rather proudly of the Fairy Tail guild that was based in Magnolia Stella’s eyes widened slightly, the creature before her was a mage? Well to be honest it did explain a lot, figuring the magic he was using to be some kind of take over magic Stella suddenly saw her aid in a whole new light. She had thought that he was some kind of creature but he was actually a person in take over, boy was she feeling like a giant ass. As the man charged towards their joint foe Stella was surprised at the speed he had, it would have had something to do with the fact he was 2 metres tall she supposed. As he met with a wall of fire Stella’s mouth almost gaped open, this man that her father had sent was a MAGE?! Sure her father had nothing against mages outside of the family but she hadn’t expected her father to hire one to ‘take care’ of her, then again he would probably have simply put the order out to anyone that would take it. As she watched her ally taking up arms against her attacker’s magic something in Stella called out to her, she wasn’t one to just sit back and watch someone fighting while not doing anything about it herself. Clenching her hands into fists by her side as she realised she COULD help her ally in this fight, Stella readied herself to use her magic. Mentally calling herself an idiot for not using it earlier she was determined to make sure that the one aiding her didn’t get hurt badly because of her stupidity.

She really didn’t want to summon her shield the Godai Eater due to the embarrassing nature of the outfit that it made her wear but she had no other choice, this mage was an elemental mage and this was her best shot at defeating him. She could take away at least some of his magic while her ally fought him head on, she just had to hope that her shield was strong enough to take his magic. She knew it’s limitations at her current level and she was ashamed at her lack of skill and that was why she hesitated to use magic unless necessary, of course that meant that she wouldn’t get better all that fast due to the lack of practice but it was the choice she had made. As the large rune that always appeared behind her as she used her magic became visible behind her Stella spoke with her words directed to her attacker, “I haven’t found him yet…. And…. therefore I wont be defeated by you! No matter what my father might want”

As her re-quip magic activated Stella felt a new sense of determination course through her veins, she couldn’t’ be stopped here…not now….not yet. This situation had also made her even more aware of pitiful her level of magic was, if this mage of Fairy Tail had not come along to save her then she might have well have lost. She had to get stronger, she had to be able to fight and to win. If she couldn’t then how would she ever be able to find him, as his face flashed through her mind Stella’s magic stripped away her clothing and replaced them with the horribly skimpy outfit that the Godai Eater demanded she wear. As soon as the shield appeared in her grasp the rune behind her faded away into the air, as she heard the voice of her ally Stella could sense an attack coming from the enemy mage. Focusing on her shield’s effect Stella prayed that she was at least strong enough to help. As the blast of fire came from the mage’s hand and headed on a path that would only lead it to meet the hairy, wolf like take over form of the Fairy Tail mage it found itself being drawn towards Stella’s shield.

A smirk graced Stella’s face as she saw the magic heading towards her, most wouldn’t have such a happy expression in that scenario but this meant that the enemy’s magic was within her shields level. As the blast was sucked into the face of the shield Stella stood rather proud of herself, it seemed that any elemental magic that the mage used would be drawn into Stella’s shield. Of course the shield had limits but he didn’t know that, the shield only had a range of 100 metres and could only take magic of a certain strength (rank 3) while Stella was so pathetic in her use of her magic but at least it still worked. Taking a few steps toward the enemy mage so as to ensure she stayed within her 100 metre range limit she spoke once more, “Leave now and you wont have to limp the whole way”

Kain had been expecting heat, and lots of it. He had expected burnt fur and flesh, pain, blisters…and instead, nothing, as the enemy’s fire veered off course and towards the girl. However, as the fire twisted in the air and was absorbed by her shield, it seemed like it was actually her doing. With a grin he said, “Thanks nee-chan!” Looking at changed appearance and how the shield has seemingly appeared from nowhere, she must have been an ex-quip mage of some sorts. The outfit didn’t look like it would offer much protection…but maybe it part of a set or something? He didn’t know enough about ex-quip magic to be sure, but it wasn’t like Kain could say anything, his takeover magic had a habit of destroying his clothes after all…

The man seemed rather shocked with magic had been eaten, but, he quickly shook if off, laughing. “Leave? Leave! Hah, sorry, you’re worth far too much for me to simply leave. Oi, you,” addressing Kain now, “what say you, she’s worth a small fortune, you help me grab her and I’ll split the reward with you.” Kain smirked, “help you? Oh please, now you’re really starting to,” he began, starting to charge towards the fire mage again, “piss me off!” The half-demon brought down his great sword towards the mage, using the blunt edge.

Even if this guy was a creep and scum, Kain didn’t want to risk murdering him. That would make him just as bad as or worse than this guy. The fire magic blocked it with one arm, which caused him to grunt loudly with pain, the impact sure to cause some truly impressive bruising, however, fire was already forming around with other hand. “Again?” Kain saw the fire and hoped that either the girl’s shield worked again, or it wouldn’t be too painful, as the fire began to form more completely and left his hand, Kain taking a few steps back to open some distance as the flames sprang towards him.

Assassination Extraordinaire

Gale had been taking a walk in Magnolia thinking about where to go next. Today he was wearing his usual shirt, slacks but he wasn't wearing the wristbands, only his gloves. He was currently residing at the house of a merchant whom he had once helped get out of Lavender Forest before and was worried that he may be a burden. While he was walking past Southgate Park he heard hostile, raised voices, any of which could have been signs of a conflict. Gale had brought Zan'ei, his sword with him and had his other weapons with him too, as it was a habit that he had been taught when young to always be armed and ready for everything. Gale had hoped that it was a small similar to a lovers quarrel, but when he heard a female tell somebody to run and hear another voice mention something about Fairy Tail, he got interested. He had heard that Fairy Tail was a big and powerful guild, albeit very destructive, and was hoping on joining them. As Gale turned around to look at what was happening, he saw the glow of a fireball and immediately started running towards the scene, hoping that he could help in some way.

As Gale ran into the park, he arrived just in time to see the owner of the female voice, a blonde haired girl about his age, exclaim to the attacker "I haven't found him yet...And...therefore I won't by defeated by you! No matter what my father might want.; and summon a shield that amazingly sucked up the fireball. Gale was surprised by that act, but he kept on running towards the scene. He saw Fairy Tail member, who seemed to be a Man-Wolf creature, charge towards the fire mage and hit him with the blunt side of his sword. However, the fire mage had blocked the swing with one arm and was now readying another fireball and shooting it at the creature, who was probably a takeover mage.

"What a nice guy you are, attacking two people younger than you. Why don't we even out the odds and make it a 3-on-1 match, you lowlife scum! Saying that Gale summoned up his magic and sent 3 wind blades flying towards the fire mage and 2 moving to intercept the fireball in midair. He then took 5 needles and threw them at the fire mage while running closer to the scene, hoping that his wind blades would stop the fireball.

As the enemy mage offered a reward for helping him catch her to her ally Stella furrowed her eyebrows in annoyance, she was not some kind of item that could be caught and traded in for money. Shocked by the fact that the takeover mage was merely using the blunt side of his blade to attack she stared at the sight before her, this was the first time she had ever seen someone act in such a manner. Was he doing it because he didn’t want to hurt the man anymore than necessary or was it something he always did? Turning around as she heard footsteps approaching Stella spotted someone running towards them at a rather impressive pace, damn it as she saw who could be a possible enemy she sensed another attack coming from the fire mage. Turning around just in time to focus on the attack before it was released Stella had managed to protect her ally once more, there was the fact she was leaving her back open to the approaching figure but that took second priority to her at the current time.

As the fire ball once again rather rapidly changed it trajectory and headed towards her shield Stella spoke, “You just don’t learn do you” As the fire ball disappeared into the midst that was the Godai Eater Stella was surprised by a voice, spinning around to face in the direction it came from she was relieved to see that it was friend not foe. The thing about the Godai Eater was that it wouldn’t eat elemental attacks that she didn’t want it to, but it wasn’t like the enemy knew that or anything. Her gaze followed the attacks that hurtled towards the enemy, it seemed that the giant brute of a mage had assumed that all elemental attacks would be absorbed by the shield as he stood in place waiting for them to head off course. When they passed Stella and her shield the mage’s eyes widened in both surprise and fear. He managed to move in time to dodge all but the first 2 wind blades, looking down at his now bleeding arm the mage wasn’t prepared for the almost invisible needles hurtling through the air.

As they lodged into his flesh the mage let out a loud grunt of pain and frustration, this simple assignment was turning out to be worth more than he was going to be paid. As rage started to fuel his body the fire mage began to pull the needles out of his body one by one and drop them on the floor, to Stella it truly was like watching the Hulk pulling out tiny insignificant bee stingers. “I was going to be nice, I was going to let you live to see another day. But now…I’M NOT FEELING SO GENEROUS!!!” Fuelled by rage and adrenaline the mage was now in a state that resembled a berserker as he charged towards Kain planning to use brute strength and skill to win his battle, if he could not use his magic then he would settle this battle the old fashioned way….with his fists.

Who you calling chocobo head...

Kain’s one and a half ears twitched, there was someone else coming, by the scent reaching him another male, though whether he was friend or foe was impossible to tell, but Kain’s attention had to remain on the fire mage, he didn’t particularly feel like getting beaten. Surely enough another man had appeared, and to answer Kain’s question on who’s side he was on, he proclaimed he should make the match 3-on-1 and sent blades of wind towards the enemy.

Much to the relieve of Kain, it had turned out the new comer was indeed an ally, and the girls shield had once again managed to devour the fire, fortunately it seemed there wasn’t some limit. Blood already dripping from the fire mages arm from the slices of wind, likely nearly invisible for him but quite easy to notice for Kain thanks to his more than human senses, 5 needles soared through the air and buried themselves in the hostile mage.

The quite outnumbered man, instead of retreating, seemed to get enraged, pulling the needles out of his body before charging at Kain. The half-demon grinned, close combat was by far his specialty, particularly while transformed. Fairly confident that the fire mage wouldn’t resort to fire again after the last two attempts went oh so well, Kain dropped his great sword to the ground and prepared for the charging mage.

Though they might not look like, his claws were at least as strong as steel and sharper than his sword, and he was much better trained in unarmed combat. Thanks to his heightened senses and speed, it was rather simply to avoid his first attack, as Kain brought his claws across the man’s chest in counter, cutting open the flesh beneath his shirt. While Kain didn’t want to kill anyone, scum or not, he knew his attack wouldn’t kill him, merely hurt him, and if scum got hurt while fighting…there fault for not surrendering.

Gale watched as the fireball launched by fire mage was yet again sucked up by the mysterious shield that the girl wielded, and felt slightly disappointed that the fire mage had managed to avoid his first 3 wind blades. However, Gale was much more happy to see that the other 2 wind blades and the 5 needles that he had thrown had struck home. While not injuring the fire mage greatly, it had it's affect in hurting him and enraging him, and from Gales experience, enraged people were more likely to fight recklessly and in his own opinion, stupidly.

As the enemy mage did indeed seem to lose control of his reason and charge towards the takeover mage, he felt a brief pang of sorrow for the hostile mage, since it seemed that in hand-to-hand combat conditions, the takeover mage clearly had the advantage with his claws, teeth and brute strength. Still, that sorrow was only a brief pang, and after that there was nothing. After all, an enemy was an enemy and it seemed like this man had attacked the girl when she was unarmed, which despite Gale's family background, was a lowly thing to do.

After wasting his time on those thoughts, Gale took yet another 5 needles, threw them at the enemy mage, and ran up to the girl.
"Hey, why did that guy attack you and what's up with you and your dad? Who is that guy who attacked you and who is the takeover mage. Also, what's your name? By the way, my name is Gale Millers, and if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a wind mage."
