Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Southgate park was a beautiful place, serene, quiet, and filled with a bounty of nature. For some it was a place to relax, for others it was a perfect date spot. However for one person in particular, it was a good place to burn off some excess energy. Kalith Valen had taken to his morning jogs around the park quite vigorously. Every morning at dawn, like clockwork, one could see a man with brown hair and an athletic build, running around the perimeter of the park. His speed was quite impressive, almost as if he was running after something he had lost.

Kalith wore his custom made running shoes, well worn through the wear and tear one would expect from someone who ran as much as Kalith did. In addition he was wearing a pair of well fitting sweat pants, grey in color and not very baggy for maximum movement capability. He was not wearing a shirt, more like a vest, and his muscular upper body could be seen in the morning sun, glistening with sweat from his many times around the park.

Kalith had just finished his sixth time around the park when he stopped beneathe a tree and wiped the sweat from his brow, using the towle he had around his neck. He dabbed the wet fabric on his head, wiping away the salty tears of impurity that his flesh was weeping. He then leaned against the tree and looked to the rising sun, lost in the colors it turned the sky. "Man... what I wouldn't give for a good storm. To feel the wind ripping against my flesh, the rain beating down on my body, and to feel the charge in the air as lighting streaks across the sky." he said to himself, a small smile spreading across his features as he did so.

"Hey Kal! Good to see you." Called a friendly voice from behind the lightning mage.

Kalith turned around to see the man with whom he had recently become aquainted with since arriving in magnolia. In fact if it had not been for this man, Kalith might have been living outdoors in the park these past couple of days. Kalith smiled and replied, "Good to see you too Richard. How goes things at the guild?"

The man ran up to where Kalith was resting and slapped the lightning mage on the back, "Same old, same old." he said with a smile, "Ruckus and mayhem as usual. How about your training? Gotten any progress?"

Kalith shrugged his shoulders a bit and held up two fingers. He concentrated on the area around them, drawing in the latent electrical energy that flowed through the air, bringing it through his body and to the tip of his fingers. He held it there and said, "This is the most I can do right now. A small electric charge, barely strong enough to knock some one out."

Richard nodded and stared at the energy before Kalith dispersed it with a surge of will, harmlessly sending the energy back from whence it came. "I am telling you, join up with Fairy Tail. Get some jobs under your belt and some jewels in your pocket. You will grow stronger in no time." Richard said and Kalith merely shook his head.

"Nah, guild life isn't for me right now. I hate to be tied down to one place when there is this huge world to explore. Besides I don't know how much longer I will be staying in this city. Thanks for the free room and board by the way." Kalith replied, genuinely touched at the offer but knowing in his heart it wasn't his way. At least for now.

Richard shrugged and looked around, "Well keep up the hard work and I am sure you will get stronger. I need to head to the guild and take a job before the good ones are gone. Take care man."

Kalith nodded and watched his friend run off towards the guild hall. He wondered idly what it would be like to be in a guild, surrounded by friends and fellow mages who liked and respected you. Shrugging off the thought Kalith took a drink from his water bottle and started off running again, determined to run around the park twenty times by noon...

Magnolia huh? What a weird place to be; Eric still wasn't even sure why he'd come here. Maybe it was the thrill of going somewhere that he'd never been before? No, that wasn't it; he'd been here before but it had been many months since he'd walked it's paved streets and broad avenues, so unlike Coreopsis - since Coreopsis was on water and everything. Still he wasn't averse to being here, he was just unused to such niceness everywhere; it was almost oppressive!

Wow, that was a weird thing to think in a city that was inherently good.

Still, Eric was a weird child, and the fact that he was up before dawn was another indication of that. Sitting calmly on a bench in the Southgate Park that he'd come into earlier in the day -yes, he had risen even earlier- he watched with a small smile on his face as some birds in the trees warbled their good mornings to each other, and as a small squirrel scurried around the bench near Eric, completely untroubled by the presence of the little boy near it, Eric found himself almost happy. He was smiling certainly, because he was enjoying this temporary tranquility, but the idea of him being actually happy was... unheard of in recent times.

For a moment, this peace was perfect for the small child, and he remained in a stasis of near-happiness for almost a minute, until the sound of heavy running footsteps broke him from his reverie with a start and an angry mutter.
"Someone is going to pay for that..." he murmured as he slipped off his bench and into some nearby bushes, to see if he could surprise the guy who had been so loud in his morning run or whatever... damn it, people should be more considerate of Eric's wishes, if they knew them or not!

"Hey Kal! Good to see you."

A voice, calling from somewhere, slowed the heavy steps of the one who had been running, and Eric ground his teeth in irritation; if his target was going to get interrupted then how could Eric take him out! He listened with a dreadful eagerness for a few moments as the guy talked, then as his friend made some departing words, Eric thought it was time to come out and give this loser a piece of his mind for ruining his morning! Damn it he liked the sound of warbling birds, and heavy footsteps scared them away and shut them up!

Leaping out onto the path about ten metres in front of the running guy, he noted the man's ridiculous clothing even as he held up one hand and yelled a single word.
"STOP!"
If the guy didn't, Eric would just have to run after him and cut his tendons with the butterfly knife that was concealed in one of his pockets. And if he did then he'd get a piece of he boy's mind, and maybe even a few cut tendons anyway... Eric was in that kind of mood.

Kalith came to a stop in a good five meters in front of the kid, jogging a little in place before stopping completely. He tilted his head to the side a little bit and took a good look at the child. The kid seemed upset, and strangely he was all alone in the park early in the morning. "Sorry. Can I help you?" Kalith asked sincerely, squatting down somewhat to be at eye level with the child. He didn't look condecending, nor sound it. He knew what it was like to have adult's speak that way to you when you were young, it was annoying as hell and pissed you off to no end.

Plus there was something in this childs eyes, something besides anger, there was that slight twinkle of intelligence that Kalith knew all too well. It was that same look that he had possessed at a young age, when his potential had not yet truly surfaced. A potential that people didn't recognize, forcing you to sculpt it yourself, to hone it into a weapon of your own until someone, somewhere takes it upon themselves to help you master it. "What's a smart guy like you doing out so early in the morning?" He rephrased his question, hoping the child would calm down somewhat and tell him what was the matter...

A vein twitched -almost comically- in Eric's forehead at the man's words, and as he changed tack and tried to go with the reasonable approach, the boy exploded in rage.
"What I'm doing here you great idiot," he yelled, loud enough to startle birds from their trees further away than before, "Is taking you to task for being a big great lump of an idiot who disturbs the peace and calm of the morning! I was enjoying myself being happy on that bench with the birds, but then your stomping, ungainly footsteps ruined my morning and now it can't be fixed!"

Panting for a second, trying to catch his breath and reign in his temper, Eric continued on in a normal voice, but still one seething with anger.
"There's no point in me even talking to you," he said with blazing eyes, "My mood isn't going to get better and the only way I'll be able to reconcile myself to anything right now is if you go away and do your stupidly loud running somewhere else, or if you spill some blood on the ground here so I can enjoy watching you in pain! DAMN IT! You just ruined everything you dolt!"

Again, some deep breaths passed through Eric's body, and this time he spoke calmly, evenly, no trace of anger in his tone of inflections.
"And don't even bother trying any of that 'but you're being loud too' nonsense - it doesn't matter since you were the one who started it! So either leave, or fight me, because those are the only ways I'm going to let you go away."
And with that, he extended his aura 1mm from it's mark. 1mm was too thin for the barrier to be seen, but if the guy were to throw some kind of magic or attack at him now, it'd be stopped and Eric could begin.

Kalith listened to the boys, rather loud, complaint and looked to the birds in the trees, "Ah. Sorry about that. I wasn't really thinking about the bird's. You have my humblest apologies." He said with complete honesty, "I try to do my running early in the morning so as not to disturb any one... guess I utterly failed at that huh?" He added before standing up and stretching slightly. He hadn't realized he had been running so loudly, he thought he was quite quiet when he ran. However if he had disturbed this boys day then he was at fault and really there was only one thing to do.

"I shall walk my way out of here so as not to disturb you any further. Perhaps the birds will return then." He said as he sensed the boys magic flare up, it was that same feeling that came over him when his pulse barrier came alive.

"I have no intention of fighting you. You have far too much potential to waste on such a petty thing. I hope your birds come back and you have a wonderful day." Kalith said with a slight smile and set off in the opposite direction, his own defensive barrier ready to be raised at a moments notice...

What?
WHAT!?
The guy was walking away! NO! That was not the answer Eric wanted! He wanted a damn fight! Shaking his head in annoyance, Eric considered running up and punching the guy in the small of the back, but he was about 5 metres away and moving, so he'd probably be heard as he approached. And since he is a small boy and that guy is an adult, punching someone who could probably lift you up and throw you bodily away would be kind of silly...

So, he bent down and picked up a small rock off the ground.

Yes, it was a petty thing to do, but sometimes petty things were the most satisfying, and as his foe began to walk away, Eric took aim with the rock. He was a fair throw, but he was also only 8 so not very strong, but he was sure he could throw a rock that far. Leaning back a little to add some force to his throw, he piffed the rock right at the guy's back, his prodigous arm speed giving the rock the perfect speed to fly through the air and hopefully hurt the guy!
He hadn't really been giving him a choice, Eric just wanted a fight!

"The birds wont come back now!" he yelled as he threw the rock, "So come fight me!"

When the rock connected Kalith cringed slightly and grasped at the place where it hit him. He turned towards the boy and saw the anger in his eyes, "You know, fighting doesn't solve anything. And fighting someone half my size isn't very good for my karma." He said to the child. He really did not want to fight a child, especially not one as intelligent as this one appeared to be. He reminded Kalith of a younger version of himself, so full of potential and wasting it pointlessly. Of course Kalith wasted his potential playing, not challenging strangers in a park to fights.

Kalith walked back over to the kid and sat down on the nearby bench, rock that had hit him in hand, and looked to the child, "Perhaps we can talk about this? Man to man, and figure out a peaceful solution to our little trouble." He suggested, tossing the rock up and down in his hand idly, his pulse barrier on full blast, in case the kid decided to come at him with something other than a rock. Like the metal he had in his pocket, which he could sense through the pulse barrier...

Vinkheart had followed his lead that he had gotten back in Trillium, he had done his recon on Raven Tail now it was time to do a bit of poking around in Magnolia. He had wanted to find out more about the rather growing famous guild Fairy Tail, he had already a few dossiers on two of the Fairy Tail mages, Anki and Alastor, both seeming to be skills mages. Vinkheart had chosen to cut through the park in hopes to find a Fairy Tail mage on his lonesome early in the morning and probe him for information when he would hear some one yelling a bit, he knew some thing was up, with a joyful smile he would skip along towards the yelling.

As he got closer he would see that a man seeming in his late twenties sitting on a bench and a young boy seemed to be getting into altercations. Magic energy emitting a bit from both the combatants it seemed fun was about to ensue but it wouldn't be fun with out Vinkheart to join now would it? Slowly drawing his small knife Vinkheart would toss it in front of the two men a tad closer to Kalith, however due to his magnetic field it would stop about a few inches form the ground and shoot back towards Vinkheart.

Jumping forward and spinning Vinkheart would snag his knife mid air and stand between the two combatants. " Well well, are the pedohiles out rather early today arnt they " he would say with a snicker and bow gracefully slowly taking a step back allowing the two to glances to meet. As he rose he would glance at the boy and snicker " Ya gonna let this guy push ya around? " he would say snickering a bit more.

Sighing heavily, Eric bent down and picked up another rock, fully intent on throwing it right into this guy's face, for trying to persist in the reasonable approach. Damn it, why couldn't he just rise to the provocation and fight him! He wanted BLOOD!
And then he heard some more footsteps coming up behind him, and he spun around from watching the runner who had sat down on the bench, in time to see some jerkhole walking up, snickering like a douche. For a moment Eric still considered throwing the rock at the man who had annoyed him before, but as this second guy spoke, he turned and threw the rock right at his chest.

"Don't be an ass!" he yelled as he threw the rock, "And don't judge people on first appearances! That's an awful thing to do!"
This time he flexed his aura a little, extending it out a centimetre or two and then returning it to 1 millimetre. Sure it was visible for a few moments, but maintaining it at one length for a long time was more tiring than altering it, so it was for his energy levels more than anything else. How did he get himself into such a mess anyway? He only wanted a little bit of blood!

Maybe this new guy could oblige...

Kalith felt the knife enter his field and go shooting back from whence it came. His reaction was immediate and he turned around to see this newcomer, slightly insulted when he insinuated that he was a pedophile. "Who the hell are you?" Kalith asked, his pulse barrier flaring up to a blue glow for a moment with his anger. He did not like people assuming things about him that were so far off base that they held no basis in reality. His fists clenched and he stood up to face this rude person that was tryong to encourage a fight between Kalith and the child.

"Hey kid... you want to fight? How about we show this person a little in the way of manners?" He said with a slight smirk on his face, as if a darker part of himself had been awoken. He cracked his knuckles and his neck and began to stretch, ready to charge head first at the man who had tossed a knife at him earlier...
