Fairy Tail RPG Current News

Hey everyone! It's May and you know what that means? Yeah, me neither. There's not a whole lot in terms of major news right now, except for maybe some clarification on some forms of magic like usual. As for a new event? Right now, we're just having the April Event (Bosco Invasion part 3) taking place, which runs into the middle of May. But, one cool new thing that we're introducing this month is SS-Class items. Now you have something to grind and agonize over! Yay, isn't that just lovely? I think so. You can find more info on that in the Equipment and Item Creation section in the rules.

That's it for now, folks! If I get anything new to add to this you can guarantee that I will do so. In the words of the immortal douchebag rival, "Smell ya later." Keep on RPing everyone! Kill some Boscans!

Stat Points

Stat Points or Distributive Points, also known as either SP or DP, are the key elements to your Stats. You may earn Stat Points from your threads and missions, which is key in developing your character and making it stronger. However, only roleplaying a playable character (PC) will be rewarded by Stat Points and Jewels, as NPCs are essentially only there to progress the story and help your PCs evolve.

Also, this may seem obvious, but one Stat Point earned equals one Stat for any of your Stat sections (Strength, Stamina, Speed, etc.) except for your Magic Stat.

Once you have earned your Stat Points, you will need to fill in a modification so that they may be added to your characters profile. Only the character which was in the thread where you earned the Stat Points may have the Stat Points added to their profile.

Statistic System
Please note these are hyperbole for the most part and not an actual definition of the statistical system. A more through break down is in the post below. This is presented first because well, hyperbole is cool and we're a freeform site on the whole.

Statistic System - Continued
Below is a very rough guideline to what certain values in a statistic mean. Note that ultimately the site is free form, and statistics mostly exist as a comparative tool between characters, the below examples aren’t necessarily literal. As a base guideline before jumping in, 10 in a statistic is a completely average human, whereas 15 in a statistic is for an average mage. Compared to the real world, 75 in a statistic is the same as the best, possible human in all of existence in that statistic. Of course, as a world based on an anime/manga, and a world of magic and monsters, characters can exceed 75 (and what would be considered the realm of humanly possible). Even in a magical world 150 in a statistic is extremely significant, and beyond that people will question just how human you are. Note that as statistics increase, the difference between them matters less, for example, while 30 compared to 20 is probably significant, a difference of 10, the difference between 120 and 110 is nowhere near as significant. Though the scale below stops at 300, it in theory continues forever.

The first spoiler is an overview of what the numbers mean in general, and then below we break down each stat into more detail.
