I personally love Macromedia Fireworks for graphics. Well more like the entire Macromedia Suite for Graphics because then you can make web pages and flash animations.

I have always preferred paint for all my graphical needs and if that doesn't work I just boot up Gimp.

All you need is Elements and PC Paint.

Paint.NET is good. I dislike Gimp though. I always have...it just bugs me.

GIMP is somewhat confusing, that and it reminds of that dude from Pulp Fiction.

While I do have to admit that GIMP confuses me sometimes I think it more has to do with the fact that I rarely use it or any graphics program. It did however get me through my graphic novel assignment.

Knowing him, he probably could.

The only graphics program I use is Inkscape since it's free and all I really need it for is resizing crap.

I use Infranview for resizing and Macromedia for anything else
