Diamonds are Forever; DDP PPV

The scene begins inside a jewelry store in Houston, TX. Diamond Dallas Page stands in front of a display cabinet, looking at the glimmering gold and diamonds inside. He's got on a Survivor Series T-shirt and blue jeans as he asks a clerk if he could examine a certain ring. The clerk hands him the ring, and DDP observes it carefully.

DDP: There's an old saying that while gold and silver rust away, diamonds are forever. In a sense, I embody this phrase. I've been in this business a long time, starting as a manager to stars like a young Scott Hall. then I decided to lace up the boots myself and get in the ring, and I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. Now here I am, not as spry and chipper as I used to be, but still in great shape. Not to mention still putting on 5-star matches for the WWEF fans every night. But even now, after all I've done, I still haven't gotten decent recognition for it. I am just now getting a shot to become #1 contender for the WWEF Championship at Survivor Series in a 6-man elimination tag team match, and who just happens to be one of my partners? The champion himself, CM Punk.

DDP hands the ring back to the clerk and thanks her.

Now it's no secret that I dislike CM Punk. He runs his mouth about how he's anti-establishment and never gets a shot, and then he gets a match with Shane Douglas with little or no effort. Meanwhile, I'm battling a psychotic freak every night in career-shortening matches while he's taking Easy Street to the title. He's some hypocritical kid with his head up McMahon's ass, but wants to seem rebellious to feel cool.

Now another man has been getting screwed by the system too. Remember that psychotic freak I mentioned? Me and him have traded wins and losses for the past few months. I hated the guy for years, but after this series of matches, he and I have a mutual respect for each other. In fact, he's even my Tag Team Title partner. And this Sunday, he captains the 3-man team that stands between me and the WWEF Title. His name is Raven, and while I respect him, he and I are completely-different people. If I'm a diamond, he's a lump of coal, but he's a tough son-of-a-gun.

As for his partners, they won't be a problem. Heck, the only reason I'm even bothering with them is because I owe them some payback for smacking me around back at Hell in a Cell. As for my 3rd partner, Randy Orton, Raven was right. He's just a Diamond Dallas Page knock-off. He takes my finisher and adds some fancy jump to it, then slaps his initials on it to make it his own. Don't make me laugh, Randall. This Sunday, stay out of my way and do as you're told, or face the original Diamond Cutter. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll buy Ms. Page something nice while I'm here.

DDP goes back to scanning the jewelry cabinet as the scene fades to black.
