"Football, captain. Soccer. 'The Beautiful Game.' The Arsenal is the club I grew up supporting. Bit of a joke on my part. May I ask why I'm to be sent back to earth? What's the mission?" |

Rezit thought back. He knew of the terms from history class, but since he hadn't been specifically trained for that period, opting instead for Early Intra-Galactic Exploration, he wasn't so into the specifics. But he smiled and nodded, then got to business. "Someone has tampered with the timeline, Ensign. The convinced Captain Jean-Luc Picard not to join Starfleet. The repercussions of this is immeasurable. We're still trying to calculate the exact IF (Incursion Factor), but we're estimating someone in the 70's or 80's. We need your expertise on that timeframe to help us get our bearings and figure out what to do next. We're also dividing into two teams. One to try to get Picard to reconsider, and the other to confront Q for that first time. Which do you think you'll be better at?" |

LCdr. Ross looked up from her researched, and sighed. It was time to go. She rose, dressed in the starfleet uniform of the 24th century. Captain, are we ready to go?

Ginger considered for a moment before answering. "I think that the Enterprise probably has enough security to handle itself. I think can be of more use with Picard. If someone doesn't want him to join Starfleet, that same someone might use any means necessary to stop him, and us, if it comes to it." Looking at Lieutenant Commander Ross' uniform, the ensign asked, "Is there a place where I can get one of those, Captain? I can meet you in the transporter room, or whatever we use to get from place to place, as soon as I change." |

ooc: Rose is gone, so I didn't have a chance to tell her this, but I don't think the Picard team would have uniforms. I think they'd dress like they do in TNG: "Family," since that's where you're going. . BIC: He nodded. "That sounds reasonable. I guess there's not much for you to brush up on,, so just get some sleep and be on the bridge by 0600. |

"Understood, Captain." After being excused, the young ensign retired to her room to brush up on Jean-Luc Picard, his record with Starfleet, and France until her scheduled departure time. |

ooc: Ok, we're going to assume that everybody did everything they're supposed to do. Any others who join after this we'll assume were already briefed and assigned to whichever team they choose. BIC: 0600 Hours: Everyone involved gathered on the bridge by the transporter, ready. Everyone was dressed in appropriate attire, and ready for the mission. Rezit nodded to Cdr. Jones, who stood up. "Raise shields. Timeframe: Stardate 41153.6968. Alpha Quadrant. Spacial grid 78 Theta by 8397. Target: U.S.S. Enterprise." The familiar feel of the temporal rift opening accompanied the order, and everyone sat down and watched as they flew through the vortex. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The ship came out of the rift with its shields inact. "Report," Rezit barked, as soon as the "dust" had cleared. "Shields are operating within normal parameters. Cloaking device is holding." He nodded, then motioned to his team which consisted of himself, Lt. Duncan, Cuitlukin, and LCdr. Solarinos. (ooc: And whoever else joins in the middle, Like Dr. Creed). Cuitlukin was dressed like an Andori ambassador, as there were no Andori officers in Starfleet yet. He had science blues (he was "assigned" to stellar cartography), and James and Zachariah both had tactical yellow, in Engineering and Security respectively. The records had been inserted into the Enterprise's computer, and as they had just had a crew transfer, the additional members shouldn't have any effect on the timeline. "Commander Jones, you have the bridge." They started settling into routines, but first they checked the crew manifest and found out who the senior officers were. ooc: I'll post that info soon, I just want everyone to get "settled" first. Mistakes are fine, and can be funny, but remember that we did do research. |
