Chief Engineer LCdr. Erica Ross
Chief Engineer

NPC: Admiral Ross

Admiral Ross's face went seroius. "Captain, there are two aspects to this mission. One, you must go back and make Picard reconsider joining Starfleet. We need him. And second, you need to send another group to the Enterprise. They need help fixing the time line too.

ooc: was not 100% sure how to write the mission out. Hope this worked.

ooc: That's the whole beauty of this time-travel idea. There are a million ways that things could or could not happen, and that's what we're going to discover. Who'd to say that Q wouldn't visit Riker? And if you read Q&A then you know why Q did it... There are a lot of factors, which is what makes these stories great. We'll see how things work out, as our attempted shake-down missions (which were supposed to deal with these issues) fell through when its main participants weren't able to stay active. Maybe this will become it.

BIC: "I don't understand, Sir. One we convince Picard to re-join Starfleet, why would we need anything else?"

Once the question was out of his mouth he regretted it. If there was one thing he knew, it was that time travel was very delicate. Depending on the TIF (Temporal Incursion Factor) things might revert to the way they were, or they might not. Of course there would have to be a contingency plan.

"We need to fix what is happening now, Captain, because that might mess up the time line itself. You are to go back to the first time Q met with the Enterprise. If you recall, he put the crew on trial. You need to help Riker win that trial, because Picard's not there to win it."

He turned and faced his daughter. "I'd like Erica to be on the mission to get Picard back. I think she'll like it."

This time Rezit visibly raised his eyebrows, but said nothing. "Yes, Sir. Shall I lead the Enterprise team?"

"Oh, that's up to you, Captain. Good luck." He nodded at Rezit and turned, once again to Eric Ross. "I want a detailed report on this mission, LCdr. Don't mess this up!" With that he was gone.

The connections terminated.

:comm: All senior officers report to the bridge. :comm:

He turned to Ross. "I appreciate your restraint."

"Wasn't easy, sir, but I am a Starfleet officer." Erica turned to the door. "We should be getting to the bridge."

He nodded. "I just wanted you to know that I'm impressed."

They walked into the conference room.

Erica looked around. Everyone was there that needed to be there. She sighed as she slid into her seat. There was no rest on a star ship.

ooc: Ok, just a personnel review

BIC: Rezit looked up and tallied who was there:

Commander Quincy Jones, his first officer
LCdr. Zachariah Solarinos, his second and tactical officer
Lt. Cornelius Creed, his CMO
LCdr. Cuitlukin, his communications officer
LCdr. Ross, his Chief Engineer
LCdr. Kirat Ofori, the temporal officer
Lt. James Duncan, Science officer.

He stood up, activating the holo-display. A face started revolving slowly.

"Jon-Luc Picard. Very colorful career in Starfleet, peaking with his Captaincy of the Federation flagship, the NCC1701-D. Instrumental in the treaty with the Romulans, Cardassians, and Klingons. He stood up to Q and the Borg, and..." he activated the next projection to switch to an image of him with his vineyard, "he never joined Starfleet."

"That's right, someone managed to convince him to stay home in France and get involved in the debate of whether it was ethical to eat replicated food. He never met Q, engaged the Borg, or even met Beverley Crusher. William Riker became Captain of the Enterprise, but he didn't handle things quite the same way." He terminated the display and sat down.

"Gentlemen, ladies, we're talking about an incursion factor of 72.837."
