"No, I did not sir. I had only a few months on the Midway and we saw little action so I did not see the need to request a fighter. That's one of the reasons why I am going down to see the fighters. The other reason is that factory new fighters are always problematic. The shipyards always add "new ideas" without really testing them or getting pilot input when they design a new fighter." David said
ooc: Welcome back Ofori!

BIC: "Ah, so you'll be test flying some of them for us then?" Regardless of how he felt about the things themselves, he interested enough in the concept to genuinely carry on a conversation. But then Ross's call came in.

:comm: I'll be right there. :comm:

He turned back to Lt. Cohen. "Sorry about that, but duty calls." He shook his hand. "Welcome aboard."

After finding out where Ross was, he made his way to her quarters, wondering what could be so urgent.

ooc: you both could be there together.

bic: Ross turned as the doors slid up to reveal Captain Rezit and Lieutenant Commander Kirat Ofori standing there.

Kirat greeted the captain politely as the doors to Ross' quarters parted, and entered slowly. "If you wish, Captain, I can return at a later time so that you and Commander Ross can talk in private," he said warmly, securing the PADDs under his arm. "My reason for visiting may...take a while."

Fighter Jock

David made his way to the fighter bay and started to look over the fighters. The other people who were working at the adjacent shuttle bay looked up in surprise when a flood of choice words started to come from the fighter bay. "What were they thinking! Those morons!" David said as he looked over the first fighter. He started to dissemble the entire fighter which took a while

Rezit looked at Ross. "Which would be preferable to you?"

"Captain, we need to talk," Ross rubbed her hands together nervously. "My father gave us a mission!"

James Duncan Science Officer Reporting
I have just finished unpacking my things from the old Leningrad. Why has fate brought me back to a Time Ship? It seems eerie that my father died to make these vessels. I must not allow myself to be hindered by my fathers death. I will not let his sacrifice go in vein He will not be this last generation of Duncan scientists. I will be one and my son will be one.

James walked over to his desk and picked up a picture of his father,
"I'll make you proud dad."
James was trying to make his way to the Science Labs he walked by Erica's quarters and out of the Corner of his eye he noticed the Captain a Cardassian and a Human Female discussing something. He thought it would be best to get to know the crew so he walked in and said.
"Hello, I'm Science Officer James Duncan."

Lieutenant Commander Kirat Ofori
Member Avatar

Ross' near-excited declaration nearly garnered a grin from Kirat. He had been eagerly anticipating his first true assignment aboard the Atlanta, and it seemed that it was soon to commence. Before either he or the captain could pass comment, a new voice interjected. The young human male identified himself as James Duncan, and Kirat recognised him instantly from the crew manifest. If it had been any other science officer, the Cardassian would have turned away and allowed Captain Rezit to dole out the usual pleasantries.

But Duncan's profile had caught his eye - he was the son of one of the Atlanta's designers, and had an excellent record that suggested an intellect rivalling that of his late father's.

"Hello, Lieutenant," he said, extending his hand. "I am Lieutenant Commander Kirat Ofori, the ship's temporal officer."

James grasped Kirats's hand.

"I'm Charmed."

James wondered why this crew member was so warm to him... But James didn't have time to ponder that he would have to listen to the Captain.

Erica looked around at the growing group of officers standing outside her quarters. "Captain, this is going to involve everyone, so why doesn't everyone come in." She stepped aside and gestured for the three men in front of her to enter.

"Captain," she turned to Captain Rezit, "as I already told you, my father contacted me." She laughed sadly and glanced around the room.
