ooc: Nope, here's where we have a clincher. I was hoping to play out the Enterprise story and kind of switch between scenes, but with most of the guys inexplicately MIA we're having to do this more smoothly than I anticipated. That's why it's kind of jumping. *attempting to compensate* :p

BIC: Just then an older man ran up the path. Upon seeing them he stopped and turned. "Came to gloat, did you? Came to smile on my misfortune, did you?"

The man froze for a moment. Clearly this wasn't the response he'd expected. But the moment passed, and he drew himself up to his full height. "Picard's the name. I own these here vineyards." His expression changed into a scoff. "You say you're not here to laugh? Have you any idea what my son has done?"

"Jean-Luc?" David asked. "If you are referring to him not going to Starfleet then yes." He added

"Not going to Starfleet? That little creep lied to me! You hear? Lied! To me, his father! Can you believe that! He runs off without telling me, in the middle of the day when I'm hard at work in the vineyard, and then, when he fails," at this point he started laughing, "you hear, he runs off, and fails!" but then his demeanor immediately returned as quickly as it had left, "he comes back, tells us how he's sorry and he won't do it again, and then," now his look was fierce, like he wanted to kill someone, "and then, you want to hear what he did? He ran away! You hear, ran away, again!" Now the next in a roller coaster of emotions surfaced, that of fiendish glee. "But I was tipped off. This nice man told me of his plan, and I stopped him, you hear? I stopped him. I went all the way to Sa... Sa... San... whatever, and I caught him red-handed. You hear me? Red handed! And now he won't be going anywhere so fast. Not anymore."

With that he stormed into the house and closed the door.

ooc: You can npc for Ginger if you'd like, and I'll npc for Erica.

OCC: Were you going to do that anyway? As for NPC-ing could I have Erica tell the Atlanta to transport them to when Picard runs off for the second time but we go to the vineyard and wait until the unkown guy arrives.

ooc: Well, I've been npc'ing for Erica because I'm in contact with her, and Ginger's gone (unless she comes back) so anyone can take her. Again, this was supposed to unravel slowly as the Enterprise was dealing with Q, so this is happening much faster than I imagined. I have to think of some way to slow the story down. But I also don't want to do anything that would be stupid IC just to make the story slower. I have an idea, we'll see if it works...

BIC:

NPC: Erica Ross

"Wait a minute..." Ross turned to the others. "Didn't Picard tell us that he passed, and someone else told him not to join?"

NPC: Erica Ross

"So was he lying? Or was his father? Or is there another piece we're missing here?"
