Hey everyone, Angel here. So I've only seen the movie, haven't read the books. I was going to hold out on reading them till the movies were completed since books tend to outshine their movie offshoots, however I realize now that would take quite some time so I'm going to have to suck it up and start reading. Forgive me for my lack of knowledge, I admit it was Rob bringing the pretty that got me into this stuff in the first place and it hasn't had much of a chance to evolve from there. A brief source of pride though, the new film is being shot in my neck of the woods! I sincerely hope I don't develop stalker-like tendancies due to the (relatively) close proximity of Rob lol. |

Yay Angel! A newbie Twilight fan like me! I'm reading the books for the first time myself and am almost finished Eclipse. My only advice is to avoid spoilers if you can but even if you do know some stuff, you will still love the books. The book enhanced the movie for me and just made me want to watch it again and again. I can't wait for NM to come out now! That book was incredible and if they do it well, the movie is going to be amazing! Anyway, enjoy the books when you start reading!

Hi Angel!! I watched the movie before the books. I prefer the books, but the second I finished, I had to watch the movie again to pick up on all the little bits that I missed!

Hey Angel I know what you mean about them shooting New Moon in Vancouver. I keep hoping I will come across them shooting somewhere! I haven't read the books , but am planning too real soon as I can't wait till the movie comes out to see what happens next! |

Lucky dogs near the filming.
I always try to do that Angel, but then I cave. Overall I find I can usually enjoy both the books and the movies in their own right. Now that you bring it up though I'm wondering if there was ever a time I thought a movie was better than the book. |

Yes power, good to know I'm not alone in my newbieness! OK, will avoid spoilers from here (since I can't resist EJami spoilers this will be a nice balance for me) and that will be even more incentive for me to get the books. I bought the movie the other day though, think this Easter long weekend would be the perfect time to get reaquainted with Edward. MissD, the only example I can think of off the top of my head is Lord of the Rings. Absolutely loved the movies. Got to about page 8 of the book and fell asleep! I heard it's a great series to read, not sure why I can't seem to get myself into it. Oh well. |

Oh, sweetie, don't wait for the movies to read. That'll take FOREVER, lol. You could be done by next week if you adjust your schedule So glad you're here! |
