This is a simple Text RPG, no stats are involved besides levels and skills. -Show all actions of your character in text posts, but preferably use 3rd person as it is easiest to read. An example post, a battle scene:
Normally, it would take much longer to kill an enemy of that strength, but this was just an example. Rules: -No godmoding, which includes making your character to strong for their level, or controlling someone else's character no matter how little. No bunnying, that is to say, controlling another member's character. Even if you try to shake someone's hand for example; do not say: "Bob shook Bill's hand", as their character may ignore you, say something such as: "Bob extended his arm to shake hands with Bill". The difference is that you do not show their reaction, simply set it up so that they may do as they wish. Depending on the character's personality, they may decline to shake your hand, or to ignore you. Unless it is an enemy you are fighting, try not to control any NPCs (Non Player Characters) in the RP unless you are the thread starter or have his/her permission, as it could interfere with the storyline they have planned. If you brig your own NPCs (Which you should clear with the thread starter beforehand), the same rules apply to others with respect to your characters. Also, play at your current level, Even a group of level 1-3s could not defeat a 2nd Tier unless there were special circumstances, and a level 1 cannot defeat a large amount of enemies, even if they are also level 1, on their own. - If you are speaking outside of your character, use something similar to this to show that: OOC = out of character; often placed in brackets () or a quote box. IC = in character; only needed if an OOC post is made, shows that OOC is over and you are back in character. Some may chose to omit this if OOC posts were made in a quote box or brackets. *Credit to Marcia. Edited by Kurthnaga, Thursday Nov 29 2007, 05:36 PM.
