You don't see poor homeless people in churches

You can go to just about any church in America, and you are not going to see a church full of homeless people from the street. You are not going to see a church full of prostitutes, you are not going to see a church full of down trodden people, the very people that Jesus walked among and tried to uplift. The people that Jesus was criticized for hanging out with.

When you go to a typical church in America you are going to see people drive up in nice cars, get out dressed very clean with nice suits and dresses on.

When you look out over the congregation everybody is well dressed. You don't see the down trodden and the dregs of society in church. You don't see people in church with dirty clothes on looking like they've been sleeping under bridges.

You don't see people in church with their hair uncombed because they can't afford a comb. These are the very people that Jesus came and fought for.

A lot of homeless people would LOVE to go to church and listen to the word of God being preached, but they understand that they would be looked down on by Christians if they attended church, with their dirty clothes on. Christians would turn up their noses at them and wouldn't even want to sit next to them. A lot of Christians would feel uncomfortable sitting on a pew full of homeless people.

Then those same Christians in church would talk about how good Jesus is.

I was in a church service one day and a homeless guy walked in during the middle of service, and he went and sat down near the front of the church. The deacons in the church came and escorted him out of that seat, they took him to the back of the church and allowed him to sit there.

I don't blame homeless people and people in the street for not wanting to go to church, who would want to go through that kind of humiliation?

If I was homeless I wouldn't go to church either and have people looking down on me, and robbing me of what little dignity I have left.

This is what a typical church service is going to look like in America today.

You are not going to see these kind of people in churches on Sunday, in most cases they wouldn't be welcomed.

The church is not doing anything to help the poor, homeless and downtrodden to develop their walk with God.

If I was the pastor of a church I would have buses and vans go and pick up homeless people and bring them to church on Sunday.

In my hometown the Nation of Islam have vans, and they go and pick up homeless people on Sunday and take them to their mosque service.

This video talks about a church that drives homeless people away.

There are a lot of people in the streets fighting against drugs and alcohol problems, but the churches are not going to them letting them to let them know that God can help them overcome their problems.

In the Bible Jesus said that what you do unto the least of these, you also do unto me.

Not having anywhere to lay your head is tough, when it's cold and raining you have to sleep outside.

Malcolm X was in the streets with the poor, the rejected and the down trodden. He said that Jesus was in the street with them as well.

Malcolm use to speak on street corners in poor ghettos.

They don't need a house. They need shelter, and the church will provide it.

They don't need their own kitchen. They need food, and the church will provide it.

This is the case, no matter if he was at the church on both Sunday and Monday.

Many local churches in my area do food, diaper, and formula drives to donate to homeless agencies.

There is also a quilting circle where people donate their time to make warm blankets for people on the streets.

There are so many different ways to help.

Homeless people have a soul, and going to church or being ministered to on the street will help them with their walk with God.

Sure there are a FEW churches that feed the homeless. But churches are not ministering to the homeless, they are not taking the word of God to the homeless.

Feeding the homeless is not going to help them get into Heaven, they need someone that will give them the word of God.
