Bernie Sanders was in the Civil Rights Movement, he was in the March on Washington with Dr. King. Bernie Sanders was arrested protesting for blacks.

In his support for Hillary Clinton, John Lewis tried to put down Bernie Sanders. Lewis tried to down play Bernie Sanders contribution to blacks and the Civil Rights Movement.

Bernie Sanders didn't just start standing up and fighting against injustice done to black people. He's been fighting for black people for over 50 years. As a young man in the 60's he organized sits against segregation, he was arrested for protesting against segregated schools, he was speaking out against police brutality in the 60's. The police labeled him a trouble maker, because he was going around putting out flyers about police brutality. He was in the 1963 March on Washington with Dr King.

He has a track record when it comes to fighting against injustice done to blacks, he had a GOOD HEART.

This is a video and picture of Bernie Sanders being arrested in 1963, for protesting against segregated schools.

Bernie Sanders confirmed that this is him.

His record of standing up for blacks and the poor didn't stop in the 60's, he continued to speak out against injsutice when he went into politics and became a Senator. He often went on the floor of the House of Representatives and spoke up for blacks and the poor as seen in these videos.

These videos are from 1991 and 1992.
