Fidel Castro died today, but he died a MAN. He never BOWED DOWN to the U.S. Government, and I will always respect him for that.

Fidel Castor was always a big supporter of strong black leaders and black people in the struggle.

Fidel Castro loved Malcolm X for the bold stand that he was making, this is Castro together with Malcolm X in 1960.

Fidel Castro was very close friends with Nelson Mandela. Mandela said that Castro and Cuba played a major role in helping the people of South Africa defeat apartheid.

When the U.S. Government tried to frame Assata Shakur for a murder that she did not commit, She went to Cuba and Fidel Castro took her in and gave her asylum, and he REFUSED to turn her over to the U.S. Government. She's still in Cuba today, she's been there for over 30 years.

This is Assata daughter Kakuya visiting her in Cuba.
