NBA player Colin Kaepernick has refused to stand for the national anthem, to protest the police killing unarmed blacks and not being charged and convicted. A few other athletes have joined him.

Something amazing happen, Denasia Lawrence refused to stand while she sang the national anthem at an NBA game between the Miami Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers .

She sang the national anthem while kneeling on one knee like Colin Kaepernick.

I see her point but I don't get why she's singing it if she's also protesting it.

I like it. I think she's showing she's hopeful America will one day be a shining example of freedom.

Maybe she's protesting the flag, itself, since the song features racist words only in the (verse 3) part that is always left out.

Maybe the flag? In any event, what racist words?

... what racist words?
Don't worry about it, BigTymer, you're a Trump supporter so you'll disregard the anti-Negro racism in the song anyway B-)

Stupid is as stupid does my brain when you consider that I have repeated the national anthem for decades yet I have been too stupid to realize that a racist slave-owner, Francis Scott-Key, wrote the song about a battle in the American Revolution he witnessed feat. Black Slaves joining the Brits, to fight back against USA soldiers that night. Thanks to ETHOS, now I know that Scott-Key highlighted the song with a 3rd verse focusing on Black slaves being dumb enough to think they can get free from The U.S. Slave Trade.

ETHOS made me look like a reeeeeal, lightskin racist, up in this joint today.
