Another NFL player sat during the national anthem

When one person steps out on courage, it gives some other people courage to step out. NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat during the national anthem of a pre season football game last week. He said that he did that in protest against the police killing unarmed blacks and not being charged.

He got a lot of criticism, but he also got a lot of support from people that understand what he's trying to do.

This week another NFL player followed in his footstep. Seattle Seahawks player Jeremy Lane sat during the national anthem.

49ers safety Eric Reid, who was not in uniform because many starters don’t play in the fourth preseason game, took a knee next to Kaepernick during the anthem and hugged Kaepernick when it was over, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle. Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area also said Reid took a knee next to Kaepernick. Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News said many teammates and Nate Boyer, a former University of Texas long snapper and Green Beret, hugged Kaepernick after the anthem. Boyer this week supported Kaepernick’s right to protest during the anthem and tweeted out a photo of him and Kaepernick together on Thursday.

Heard Eric had Colin's back.
Got a lotta respect for that. He's a man's man.

My silly Bol.

Those players didn't hug Kaepernick because of him sitting during the anthem, in protest of racism's cops. They hugged Kaepernick because teammates and insiders, all knew, Kaepernick was about to step on an NFL football field for the very last time ever in life.

And so those players felt like they were watching that scene from 'The Abyss' when Ed Harris went down the 'ol gloryhole to prevent everybody's doom/got to the bottom then admitted he knew it wasn't a round trip.

That was very good to see, and I'm sure it did much to lift Colin's spirits. ;)

White folks are getting tired of these niggers not respecting the flag that don't respect them. Lol

I can't wait until the NBA starts next month to see if it continues.
