But remember now, for example, that as of this morning the AUS currency exchange with the USA is $0.72 cents per $1 Which means that that $15.81/hr in AUS would be equal to $15.81 x 0.72 = $11.39/hr in the USA if they worked that same job here. Or another way to look at it, let's say, while you are here in the USA a Corp. calls you from AUS and offers you a job which pays the AUS min. wage plus they reqd you to move to AUS for the job. So, You take the job. But you also tell them they're going to have to pay you that $15.81 AUS minimum wage, through the exchange rate. Which means means once you get there your salary won't be $15.81 per hour like the people working right next to you. They'll be paying you ($15.81/0.72 =) about $22 per hour to do that same work over there. Edited by U Thant, May 27 2016, 07:40 AM.
