So many people labor under the belief that exceptions should be made for them.
I bet the personnel files in your HR department contain some very interesting information.
This is true. Because I found that HR was never up to the par with standards they impose on other employees. These people drank alcohol and did other drugs on the job, were habitually late, and even committed sexual harassment that they got away scot free with. It's basically the same as the political world, that's very dirty but expect a very clean public.
Every job should have a chain of command. Even staff within the HR department must answer to someone.
Wouldn't matter much if they did. Because the chain of command would run the same. The ruler is dirty and the underling must be clean. The same as dirty parents expect clean children.
You won't know for sure unless you explore that option. If you feel wronged by the HR department, and experienced little acknowledgment from ownership, then it might be time to consult your union representative (if applicable), find a new job, or hire an attorney.
Great advice Doctor.. Most employees think HR is there to assist them, HR is there to protect the company and it's policies. No one has to keep you employed. If you feel discriminated against, research on how to prove you claims, and do that. My brother owns his own data company, and daily, he has workers telling him how to run his business, whereas if they knew how to run a business, they would have one. Everybody can't be the boss.. Many don't really realize this.
This does go back to the point of how many want others to take care of them (as opposed to be self-sufficient).
The other thing about your brother is that those same associates trying to tell him what to do are the first ones jumping under rocks, or pointing fingers when a crisis occurs, and decisive leadership is needed.
Folks like that annoy me.

The union is dirty too. Because it's a business like any other. In my observation of the corporate world, the dirtiest shadiest people get ahead and the cleanest and most dedicated people are kept where they are and move the slowest if they move at all. Self-employment is also a great option to avoid corrupt institutions.

So, why does almost every other culture smoke weed? And what's the root of their problem?
I'm trying to figure out why people here want to say how much of a good guy UTB is, yet he is constantly starting threads to make you wonder his motives and question who he really is. I have never seen a black man his age that get a kick out of searching the web daily for anything that negatively reflects who he is. 77 y/o's don't do that.
I keep telling you guys. U ain't black
I said that 5 yrs ago, but few seemed convinced. He and I got into an argument about the economy and he said something that let me know he isn't black and I still believe that he isn't. I can agree with him sometimes....but he's still white. but
he never said he was white or black
he said he is a mulatto
here is my thought:
his mother could`ve gone to nyu 100 yrs ago {add 30 to 77} one parent is deeply rooted in south{forced acknowledgement} dats the paternal side
and this real genuine fondness for cuban music dats the maternal side
but why never mention of incidents like.. the system reminded u are black why this stigmatization of black and persistent attempt to disassociate from bad negro why no shared wife memory that involved something`black like" why this anger .. about negroes messing his neighbourhood from a blackman that grew up around poor people prior desegregation ..fucking unreal why the emotional disconnect
ANSWER
HE is a mulatto from a lightskin american+ white or very light skin cuban mother that could pass as a italian/sicilian he has lived his life passing as a `white" guy even married a white woman his daily posting at afn: subconscious attempt to wipe that mark of Cain from his subconscious
subconscious because a conscious state cannot be this obvious

But realistically Sam, How people are not expecting to be taken care of and are self sufficient? Not many. I know with my family, I am last line of defense & stability.
At my job, many come to me seeking assistance, & solutions.
If I don't manage my own safety net, no one else will.
A lot of people really could not find their way out of a paper bag.

Absolutely. But it's not for everybody. Indeed, such ventures require long hours, and incredible dedication.
