Deputies say family had no idea man was stuck for nearly a day

By Rory Appleton

A man who apparently got stuck in the chimney of a Huron home during a botched burglary attempt died Saturday after the homeowners lit a fire in the fireplace, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Lt. Brandon Pursell said deputies received a 911 call to the 16000 block of West Gale Avenue just before 3 p.m. After lighting a fire, the male homeowner heard screaming coming from somewhere inside the house. When the resident realized a person was in the chimney, he extinguished the fire.

Deputies and firefighters had to smash the chimney to get the man out. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fresno County coroner will perform an autopsy to confirm a cause of death. The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Investigators believe he had attempted to break into the home sometime during the evening hours of Nov. 27. He had remained in the chimney all day.

Pursell said the home suffered smoke damage in addition to the busted chimney

Homes shouldn't be made with chimneys or skylights.

I think that anyone who has a chimney or skylight should have them sealed off.

Why? I grew up in a home with a chimney where there was NO central heat, so why should chimneys be banned? Chimneys has been around for eons! Point is, we just had a dummy that got stuck, and fried! One less thief we'll have to worry about! B-) B-) B-)

As you can see, deflecting from the issue, is what some do best. This is not about chimney's, but about a man breaking into another's home.

To them, the breaking/entering part is just another day in the park, however having a chimney for burglars to enter, is grounds to sue the home owner.

The logic:

Having those chimney's and skylights, knowing that 'their kind' will use that as an entrance to you home, makes the home owner guilty of aiding and abeting, criminals.. :'(

Therefore all homes with chimmey's should be destroyed, so criminals will have to look for other ways, to break into your homes. It's the job of the homeowner to make sure criminals cease from criminal behavior.

Criminals have no liability for their actions, for they are oppressed, poor, and prone to savagery.

I actually had to weight the options this man could consider..

1. Going through a chimney to take whatever possessions from another..and ultimately die,
2. Try and get emergency public assistance,
3. Hustle (mow lawns, wash cars, clean houses, etc)
4. Find full/part time work
5. Ask/beg family/friends for money, food, or shelter

Well, I know, 'non-blacks' like UTB and I, would do 2-5, I don't know what answer you 'real blacks' would choose, must be one, because if doing what non-blacks do, then someone's assessment of what a 'real black person' is, is flawed and fuk'd up!!
