This may be a fact, there is lots of promiscuity and western society has become very lascivious.
Promiscuity is universal.

There's no part of the globe that it doesn't predominate.

For one thing,

STD's would subside a great deal if men would stop copulating with sheep and other farm animals.

STDs On the Rise, Says CDC

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- The number of annually reported cases of sexually transmitted disease is increasing, according to a new report, and some are increasing at an alarming rate.

According to the report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, sexually transmitted syphilis is up by 15.1 percent, and syphilis transmitted from mother to infant is up by 27.5 percent. Chlamydia has increased by 2.8 percent from 2013 to 2014, while gonorrhea has increased by 5.1 percent during that same time period.

Most of the increase has been in the male population, 83 percent are from men who have sex with men. It's worth noting that syphilis, which is a disease that can cause sores on the genitals, can also make it easier to transmit and acquire HIV.

The 2014 data shows that young people between 15 and 24 account for a disproportionately high percentage of STDs; they’re getting about half of the estimated 20 million new STDs diagnosed each year.

Even with these increases, the CDC suspects the real numbers are higher, since many go undiagnosed – a particular problem in women, as it is estimated that more than 20,000 women become infertile each year due to undiagnosed STDs.

I can understand the youth, their brains are solely on what's happening at that moment. Can't see past, getting it now. I don't excuse them, just understand where they're coming from.

However, the other group, is disappointing. How is it, that mature adults don't understand, that a disease, can be deadly??

Funny story, my oldest start dating a young man, a few years back. She said, before we get too serious, I will need an AIDS test, a criminal background check, credit history, etc, ANNUALLY..

He said sure :D (any opposition, red flag)

@Snide, now you see why, I value my body highly. :D
Redd, tell your daughter she better keep her shit together and up to date for the rest of her life and don't become a victim of her own requests. I've seen many women whom had their professional life intact and ended up with some of the most ignorant niggas around.
Help me to see, your opposition to what my child is requesting?

I would surely hope, you demand, at least what my child is asking, from your daughter.

It is no secret, women visit the doctor more than men, therefore, to demand your partner get annual checkup's, is not a hard thing.

As far as being in a committed relationship, you would be aware of his criminal and credit history. I would, however, stay on top of it, until you feel you're comfortable in the relationship.

Do tell, what have you advised your sons/daughter about when entering relationships?

Like me, my daughter has several items on a list, a man must have. Those women, you're speaking of, are hard up, for companionship. They settled... ^o)

No short cuts, no ignoring, no looking the other way..you come first and foremost!

You are aware of the AIDS numbers in Africa? If it wasn't for what the western society gives in treatment and medicines, that continent would be wiped out..

Having sex with young girls and anal sex, is what some men in Africa thinks, prevent the spread of diseases.

Now, we all know, about the sex slave trade, that's prevalent in Asia and Europe. They have a tendency to kidnap western girls. They like them blonde and young..

I don't see a problem with a man or woman asking for certain things prior to getting into a serious relationship, especially the AIDS test. Credit reports are free online annually SO that's not a problem. Everyone should get a physical before marriage but if you're young, in your 20's, it's not necessary to have an annual exam. I just said when you require those things, you must be on your game too. A lot of requestors are not. Not saying she isn't.

That's right Kenny,

What most people don't realize is that STD's isn't something that just popped up all of a sudden out of nowhere, but goes way back many thousands of years. Which started from men copulating with animals.
