If she used the money for his funeral expenses first and had some left, I have no problem with it.

Same here.
Well guys, I think, that's part of the problem. No one wants to hold anyone accountable...

There are people who donated, with the intent of assisting this family, who didn't have the funds to bury this child. You guys are saying to those people, thanks for the left over money, now it's mine, so I can do with it what I want.

Which is the inner city mentality. A brand new car 2015, in the hood, for a mom, who didn't have custody, (grandmother did), who's afraid of now being a target, however has no plans to leave this crime area.

With $12,000, she could relocate, however, a car was more important.

Therefore next time, a tragedy happens to those in the hood, shouldn't they say, let the hood take care of it's own??
I'd hold her accountable if she didn't have a funeral for her son. Other than that, I understand that she asked for $2000. She wanted to take care of the funeral and wasn't greedy when she asked for help.

What do you want her to do with the rest? Take a vote on whether to get a 2015 car or one that's a couple years old? But would that even be old enough?

I think as long as she did what she said she needed to do for her son, if I gave money for that, the way she uses the rest is her business (as long it's legal), not mine.

$12000 isn't enough to pay for a funeral and buy a brand new 2015 car.

I am a lightskinned-racist. This woman is darkskinned.

So yes, yall already know what that means I must do here.

Yep I must look like the stupid racist which, I am, and stupidly post about how the Mom of Slain Chicago Boy Spending Funeral Money on a Car.

And I feel so, so fuccn dumb now that that darkskinned-mamacita told my sorryAZZ off, didn't she?

uhkeekee

Left me looking stupider than even, kennyinbmore! And yall know that is a tough task to achieve.

Especially when she asked viewers "My son just got killed in "that" way which he did, yet yall (whiners) think I'm supposed to continue to leave myself out there in that same way when I am walking back and forth to work and to bus-stops and subways??? Yall crying about me buying a new car? Well my son would have wanted me to buy this car, to get myself out of harm's way of whatever the hell is going on here!!"

yey she really torched me there!

Just like U Thant does. man0man U Thant, I hate it when you expose me like this I just hate it when you illuminate my racist agenda against darkskinned-Black people.

Says who?

Nobody said she paid CASH for the car. What if she used the rest as a downpayment? funeral ranges from what 7 to 10 grand? Average? So lets say she had 2000 left, thats a solid downpayment for a car.

Well, here's somewhat of an update..There were going to be some legal ramifications for her. The GoFundMe account was set up for funeral expenses only. If she misused those funds, she could get charged with fraud.

The GoFundMe page, which raised more than $17,400, was created by Lee's friend.
Lee said that there is still $13,000 remaining in the fundraising account after GoFundMe took its percentage fee and she paid for some of the expenses for the funeral that will take place on Tuesday.
