In everybody's life there's going to be some disappointment, there's going to be some let downs. But how do you handle it?

1. When that person that you were in love with and gave your all to walks away, how do you handle that disappointment?

2. When a person that you really trusted in turn their backs on you, how do you handle it?

3. When a person promised to do something for you, and they failed to come through. How do you handle the let down?

4. When you thought that you were in line for a job promotion, but somebody else got the job. How do you handle it?

5. When you thought that your job was totally secure, and then you receive a letter saying that you have been laid off, how do you handle it?

6. You did everything you could to raise your child right, but they end up in jail. How do you handle that disappointment? Do you beat yourself up over it?

7. When something happens to you that you didn't see coming, how do you respond?

8. When you put time into something and it doesn't work out the way that you wanted it to, how do you handle it. Do you quit, do you give up and say well it wasn't meant to be?

9. Did you give up on your childhood dreams, because somebody told you that you wasn't good enough to make it?

10. When you get bad news from the doctor how do you handle it, do you panic or do you say I'm going to overcome this?

11. When you get disappointed do you shut down or go into depression?

God teaches us in disappointment, and God teaches us in situations where you feel let down. The situation or person that disappointed you, might be a test from God. God often uses hurt, pain and disappointment to make us grow. But you have to go through it with the right mindset.

In the Bible even Jesus had to deal with disappointment and let down. Always look for something positive in you disappointment.

Often times your greatest success comes from your biggest disappointment. If that person had never left you and broke your heart, you wouldn't be with Mr or Mrs right that you are married to today. If you had never gotten layed off your job, you would not be working for yourself and making good money today.

Disappointment is the best motivational tool there is, that person that didn't think that you were good enough now you are motivated to prove them wrong, and without that motivation there is no way that you would have become successful. Michael Jordan got cut when he tried out for his junior varsity team, and that made him angry enough to want to prove everybody wrong. He said that he never wanted to feel that feeling again, so he started practicing extra hard and he went on to become one of the best basketball players in the world. He could have allowed his disappointment to crush him, but he used it as motivation. So instead of running away from your disappointment use it to YOUR ADVANTAGE.

Tomorrow you might be faced with disappointment, how you respond is up to you.

Some people have allowed one disappointment to destroy their whole lives. Some people have allowed one bad marriage or one bad relationship to destroy their whole life. Now because of that bad experience they don't want to take the chance and date anybody else.

You're right.

The bad relationship ended so an opening could come up for the right person to pass through into your heart!
